Of Shiny Badges, Prefect Schedules and Arguments

Audelia is a Ravenclaw, prefect her fourth to sixth years, top of her year and the best female beater Hogwart's had since Olivia Stonewall back in 1986. So, it's really no surprise when her Hogwarts letter arrives with a shiny new badge enclosed. The Head Girl badge. Now, the only thing she needs is to know that a certain Slytherin is the Head Boy to her Head Girl.

Alas for her, Caelum received his Head Boy badge mere moments after she did. Caelum was always the bane of Audelia's existence all through their six years together. He taunts her mercilessly only because he knows that she's the only one who can respond properly. The two can barely share a civil conversation until it turns into a full out argument. He's guessed that she'd probably be Head Girl and honestly? Sharing a common room with her is not a pretty thought.

So what was Professor McGonaggal thinking, putting those two firecrackers together? Who'll explode first? And more importantly, what happens when they both realize that the other may not be as bad as they'd thought.

Delia began to speak when she was less than two months old, her first word was “SHUUUUUUUUUUI!” Flailing around her crib, her mother went to check on her. When she repeated, Shui -the Mandarin word for water clearly- and with obvious effort, Phoebe was surprised. Bringing a milk bottle full of water, she handed it to the child. Delia drank it greedily, as if to prove that she had truly meant to ask for water. Her second word was even stranger, it happened when Phoebe returned one day after having her hair cut.

“WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?” One special baby, no?

Delia's proof of being extraordinary kept showing itself, when she began walking steadily at six months. She even started running at eight. Months. She could read by the time she was 20 months old. When she first saw a broom, she turned it over, and started rambling on how stable it'd be to fly on. Then, she took off on it, swirling off about five feet off the ground on a toy broomstick.

By age two, she learned fluent Chinese, just by listening to her mother and grandmother talking. She was taken to a centre to be tested for extraordinary IQ. Her parents were proven right n thinking that they had a child genius. She had an estimated IQ range of 190 to 280.

A few years later, when her father became an alcoholic, things began to take a turn for the worse. There was little money, and her mother was sorely abused. Every night, Phoebe and her mother's hug on Delia's bed, and Delia'd comfort her mother as she applied salve to her mother's wounds.

When she went to Hogwarts, her mother was alone to deal with her father, but Delia never forgot. Dreams of what he'd done to the both of them haunted her through to her seventh year, even through he died of Alcohol Poisoning in her fifth year.

Audelia's other friend please. I would like her to be one who does not mind Slytherins as much as other Ravenclaws cause she managed to make some freinds in Slytherin. She never has never thought any taboo sect is all bad, although she does not really like Caelum's attitude most sof the time, she has seen days where he can be nice, in classes, out on the grounds, no one truly believes her when she tries to tell them. She also has started to notice as Caelum aged he started to become rather cute in her eyes, not that she really care about any of that, or she does not think she does.

: I could modify her character in anyway that you wish and she does not have to act on her feeling if you want your main character to fall in love with him. She could just push her in that direction and be silently brooding almost fighting her urge to not be so shy but never quite breaking through. And she is not the competitive type, more the diligent type who will quietly work very hard in the backround to her work and her own personal little projects done. She has known Audelia her whole life and she has been one of her closest freinds even though they are not best freinds.

PERSONALITY;

Alex is competitive. Very competitive. He always needs to win. No matter what. He is quite cunning. He's also very strategic and that helps him a lot when captaining the Slytherin quidditch team. He loves to brag and is incredibly flirty and great with the ladies. He constantly breaks hearts and leaves girls wanting more because he doesn't like to let get too close to someone just to lose them. And even though he acts very competitive he is actually devolping feelings for a certain someone... People think he's arrogant and a git but it's all just an act. He's actually very vulnerable.
HISTORY:

Alex was born and lived in NYC till he was two. His parents had a huge fight with his grandparents/aunts/uncles about how Alex's parents were raising him and never wanted to see them again. So they moved to England. He doesn't remember his time in America and didn't understand what was wrong with the way his parents were raising him. When he was growing up he was taught to live life like there's no tomorrow. So when he wanted to cycle and leap over a huge ditch in a field near their house when he was four they said go for it. He broke his arm and leg.

Insidents like this happened a lot. When he started going to school he was bullied for things like how his books were second hand. His parents hadn't completely been able to get back on their feet so money was tight - espiecally since they constantly spent their money on silly things cause they had "to live like there was no tomorrow". When he punched and kicked the bully, Alex was suspended. His mom just pulled him out and homeschooled him, teaching him about magic and how one day he'd be an amazing wizard.

When Alex was ten his mom died of cancer. They didn't tell Alex about how his mom was dying for years and that's what the family fought over. Alex was devastated 'cause he loved his mom and never really got along with his dad. When he turned 11 he got his letter from Hogwarts and was delited. He'd be able to leave his past behind him. He was best friends with Caelum from the train ride. The summer before his second year Alex and dad had a huge fight and Alex ran away to Caelum's house and since then hasn't seen his dad.

The Headboy isn‘t exactly the kindest of people. To start, he can be horribly rude and mean, but usually it‘s to people who deserve to get that sort of behavior directed at them. Stupid people. And people he likes to tease and make fun of for fun. That‘s always something he can be found doing around the castle. But no, Cael‘s not only a mean kid. He does have a softer side. Any of his previous girlfriends would tell you that he can be the sweetest, most kind-hearted boy you‘d ever met. One wouldn‘t think that the boy they describe and Caelum were the same kid. But they are. He‘s one person. Yeap.

Caelum was never a stickler for authority. He use to enjoy sneaking off during the late hours, and found it thrilling to escape the prefects and professors as he did so. But now that he‘s Head boy, he still finds it difficult to break old habits. He still sneaks out occasionally, but scolds the younger students if he finds them. Yes, he‘s quite the hypocrite. He‘s not overly pressing of the school rules, and often gives out warnings more than actually sending students to the Headmistress‘s office.

Despite his attitude towards certain people, Caelum‘s usually a fun-loving type of guy. He enjoys hanging around with friends, making faces at people, goofing off and just generally being fun. When it comes to girls, Cael is the absolute biggest flirt. He usually teases any girl he likes or finds attractive. Despite this, he‘s never once made the connection between his intense teasing toward Delia and the teasing he does with other girls. He can be a bit dense.

Caelum has always lead a normal life. He’s always been average, just another number. He was born to Audrina and Clifford Burke. Though, he wasn‘t completely a healthy baby. He had heart trouble and it almost cost him his life, but thanks to the wonderful healers of St. Mungo‘s, he was healed. Though, not completely. He still does have some heart trouble and has to take medicine for it on a daily basis, but he lives a normal life. A few years after he was born, his mother gave birth to a second child, his younger brother Cameron. This time, the baby suffered no problems and lives happily with his family.

When Cael was in his fourth year and away at Hogwarts, little by little his parents started to fight and a wedge started to grow between the two of them. They fought about little to nothing, but found almost everything about each other irksome. Caelum and Cameron came home to an awfully cold home that summer, but nothing would happen between their parents until they‘d once again leave for school. In his fifth year, a letter was sent to him from his father explaining that his father had moved away, and that his father had divorced his mother. That year was.. It was difficult. But now, he‘s more or less healed of the former tragedy.

No, I want to play one of Audelias other freind, I won't refuse deatheater1 to be a freind as well but I did ask first and I got a bio up so I think we should both play freinds. I will also take a professor as well and have his bio up tonight or early tomorrow.

*sighs* I did ask for just a bio in the rules, so the role of Delia's best friend actually belongs to DeathEater1. I also put in a certain number of characters because I wanted to start it soon.

I apologise for not allowing made-ups but I think you two should sort this out on your own. So unless DeathEater1 gives up her character, I'm sorry but she has the role.
