~Voldemort won the war~
Voldemort has won the Second Wizarding War, soon after he gathered all the dangerous Order Members and had them compete in a game to the death. Among them were Nevile, Molly, Arthur, Ginny, Luna, and many others. Ginny ended up wining after her parents sacrificed themselves for her. After this Voldemort seperated the wizarding world from the muggle worl entierly, he then seperated the Wizarding World into 8 districts. When it comes to speaking to his citizens though he has Daniel Drake handle that.
So that none of the citizens get ideas about rebellion, Voldemort created the Voldemort's Games. Each year a male and female child (11-17) is picked to fight in the Voldemort Games. The Voldemort Games are exactly like what the Order Members had to do. When the games start Voldemort says May the odds be ever in your favor and Daniel says Winning means fame and fortune and losing means certain death.
Magic is binded while in the games...no wands...no anything...
(Voldemort and Daniel can choose a favorite compettator)

She could do magic. Although that wouldn't help anymore. "I can sort-of throw knives," Alyssa said, timidly, although she was probably better than sort-of, "and I'm alright with a bow and arrow." She was best with knives though. "And I can fight with knives too." She was quite strong and tall, always had been, and that could be an advantage or a disadvantage.
Knives! The thing she was worst at or at least throwing them but still she always go nerves even holding one. "So you would get knives at the Cornucopia?" she asked hoping there would be a blowgun and bow and arrows too. She missed District 5 even though it was a bore all the stuff her weren't that good compered to her district.

He deserved to win more than her. But that wouldn't happen anyway.
Finn shrugged. Once again. He really did shrug a lot "What I'm saying is, if you do die, I assume you want to die with dignity and the way you want to feel, and stuff. Doesn't everyone? Well it wont just happen by itself. You can either prove it, die another widespread hated Career, or survive." He took a step back. "Your choice."

Alyssa nodded. "Yeah. What are you good at?" She probably should've said that earlier, but it slipped her mind and at least she said it eventually. Knives had been the only thing she'd been best at while they were being trained. She felt a tight feeling in her stomach as she thought of home, even though there wasn't much to miss at all really. No family, friends.

Dramatic talk. Bla bla bla. Alyssa was only listening a tiny bit, but she got his point again. "I'll have to do it by myself," she said, with a funny sound in her throat. "Nobody in their right mind would want to sponsor and help me. I mean no offence, but you're little and cute and you'll get loads of sponsors, there's no doubt about it." Alyssa swallowed, with tears filling her dark eyes once again. Nobody had ever made her cry before. Not properly, anyway.

As Matthias looked around, he noticed that all the other tributes--well, most of them--were talking with each other now. Awesome, just what they needed. NOT. By the looks of it, and perhaps a little wishful thinking on Matthias' part, it seemed that this year's Games would be a big team deathmatch, the tributes split pretty much halfway. It was going to suck having to kill teammates, though. He shuddered at the thought. Within the next two weeks, Matthias was probably going to end a life. It almost sickened him. As he sat there in his own simmering pool of thought, he wished for one thing: the Games to start, so he could just be killed and not have to worry anymore.
Wren Tempest smirked to herself, as she looked at all the others. She was ready- ready to kill. She was prepared to kill each and every one of them, if it came to it. She really didn't care about anything other than winning. She glanced around, wondering where the other District Four tribute was. His name was Jason Jackson- she had spent her time in the transport car, doing everything she could to think of what she knew about him. She also had found out the other Career triubutes' names. She kept her eye on Alyssa Burnett.
She also decided to make Allies, for the sake of a few hours sleep each night. Of course she would keep guarded, and obviously not grow any attachment to anyone. To her, age, background, looks, personality, they were all regardless. She was going to kill them all.

Jason looked around, and was glad to see the other tribute. He hadn't seen her much in the transport car, for he spent most his time in his room. But now that they were here, he was more then glad to have a friend. He walked up to her, and gave her his famous half smile. "'Sup?" He said, casually. As if this whole time, he wasn't worrying about what his parents were doing to his sister, right then.
"So when does this whole thing get going?" He knew they needed to be on friendly terms, at least before the games started. If people liked them, they could get sponsers. That was about as much as Jason knew.

Wren raised her eyebrows, and smiled. She was glad it was Jason. He would make a good Ally, trustworthy, for a while at least. She didn't melt at his smile, she was too blinded by her determination, but she did return it, with a seductive flutter of her lashes, looking up at him.
"Soon, I hope." She said, glaring bitterly at the collections of other tributes who were fraternizing and 'making friends'. She wanted to get sick- no, better, she wanted to kill them. She turned to Jason again. "So I'm going to make this quick. I propose an alliance between us. Let's face it, everyone else is keeping up the 'lost and pitiful' act, so if we work together, it won't take as long to kill off the easy ones. She paused, thoughtfully. "But the Capitol won't like cold-blooded killers. We need an act, if he want sponsors."

Matthias watched as Jason walked over to his district partner, standing by casually. Naturally, he was also eavesdropping. It was a habit that he had developed from living in a district where secrets were more frequent than communications. Yeah, you need an act on top of being cold-blooded killers. he thought, slightly disappointed. 'The easy ones'? Who did this girl think she was? Obviously she thought she was better than everyone else there, including Jason, and Matthias was pretty sure that by 'the easy ones' she meant anyone who was making an alliance. Including himself. Suddenly, the idea of taking a life was seeming a bit more welcoming to Matthias. It was mostly because of this girl's arrogance. He didn't say anything, though. He even tried to restrain any unnatural sounds he might make in response to their conversation. He just sat and listened, unbeknownst to the two tributes around the other corner of the wall he stood hidden behind.

Jason was about to respond to her preposal, when he felt a shiver run down his spine. It's not Drake. He thought to himself, looking back up at the window where the evil man once stood. Pausing for a moment longer, he shrugged and turned back to the girl, lowering his voice. "I'm willing to do anything to get back home. Got any ideas of what this 'act' should be?" He said, shoving his hands in his pockets. He had heard about couples joining in the games, but he wasn't sure if he could keep that up. Maybe if they pretended to be siblings of some sort. They'd take that. Until he screwed up, and they confronted his family. Would his sister be able to keep the secret?

"Your surname is Jackson. Mine's Tempest, and the Capitol know it." She paused. She was willing to do anything- really, anything, to guarantee herself a win. "The 'star-crossed lovers' idea has been used too many times... how about we keep it simple. Every time we kill, say we were doing it to 'protect eachother'... Do you have any skills? Because I don't think it would be very practical if you don't." She shrugged, and her turned her head in thought, and she saw a boy. The District 3 tribute, Matthias Johnson. She glared at him. She hated District 3- the cowardly District. "And what do you think you're looking at?" She snapped, her arms crossed.

"I'm good with knives. Throwing them, close range. You name it, I can do it." he glanced over to the direction of Matthias, and sighed. That's who was watching them. Turning back to Tempest, he gently touched her arm. "Now now, Wren. No need to go killing people off yet. I've got to protect you, and if you start something now, how on earth am I going to keep you safe?" he said, using the same voice he used when he talked to his sister. The protective voice, that had a little edge to it. It let people know he would do anything to save her.

Matthias' first instinct upon being noticed was to shout back at the girl. She obviously disliked him already, and it ticked him off. He was being typecast as cowardly. If only she actually knew him... Instead of yelling back, all Matthias did was pass off the eavesdropping. "I'm just leaning on the wall here. Aren't I allowed to lean on the wall?" Which was true. He was leaning on the wall. Perhaps he didn't reveal his full intent, but that was the point. He knew two things now, though, from the conversation so far: these two didn't like him (so he was a target), and to avoid Jason at close range if he had knives. All Matthias needed to take him out was a ranged weapon like a bow and arrow, or even a booby trap. But the scheming could come later. From the looks of things, he would also have Pax on his side in the Arena. Matthias looked away from Jason and the girl, still defiantly leaning on the wall. No way he was leaving now.

"No," Sneered Wren. "You're not."" She folded her arms. "This is a dangerous game, kid. Don't mess whatever chance you have up now, because I'm not afraid to kill you, or anyone else before the Games start."
She took a long step so her face was inches from his. She narrowed her dark blue eyes, her naturally beautiful and innocent face in a deadly smirk, and a dangerous glint in her eyes.
She caught Jason by the wrist and pulled him about twelve yards away from Matthias, and out of earshot. She lowered her voice. "If that's your level of discretion, you won't last a day." She shook her head. "My skills are explosives. My dad made bombs for the Capitol, so he showed me what to do. I can make bombs with just about anything. I'm not bad with a mace either." She said, with a small smile.

Jason stepped back, and watched these two battle things out. There was no sense in getting into fights that didnt involve him. After being pulled away from Matthias, Jason pondered on Wren's skill, and a smile began to form. "Explosives? I can deal with that." Watching things explode was something he highly enjoyed. He decided he was going to like watching the arena burn. "What's your plan of action then? Once you get into the games, I mean."

What was she good at? "I'm good at blowguns and bow and arrows, oh and snares." she said. Blowguns had to be her favorite out of all weapons. She was glad if she was making an alliance with anyone she wiuld like it if the person was good with knives.
Blowguns. Probably her worst enemy. Except people. That was good. Guessing, it sounded like knives weren't her best friend. That was good. Different skills, she s'posed. She nodded. It was Alyssa's Birthday in a few days. Random thought, but it was there. She'd probably be dead by then, though.

"I'll have to go for the fake approach, then." Moody, but true. She scowled. That was true too, but she didn't like him being right. Alyssa decided to take his advice, little and cute as he was. She didn't say anything, but anyone could see, by looking at her face, that she'd die being noble, and hopefully not too soon.
Uggh. If only he hadn't noticed. Or pretended not to notice. At least he didn't hug her. Someone gave it to him at the Reaping? Although little and cute, he didn't seem like the weeping type. Maybe it was someone who expected him to cry. Ferociusly, Alyssa wiped her eyes and put the tissue in her pocket. "Thanks."

After the District 1 girl just nodded Nastya just went to a corner on were there was no one near by. She hated this all she could think was that she would die a painful death and her family her friends wouldn't be able to watch it. In District 5 they didn't have any breaks but THEY were generating it. As she sat in the corner she wept for a small bit but stopped after a short while. Why couldn't the games just go? Why did there have to be the games?

When Celeste came over, Matthias put an arm around her shoulder casually and gave a small nudge away from Jason and the other girl, just to let Celeste know that it was better not to be by them. He walked with her over to where Pax was sitting on the ground, looked around a bit to check for eavesdroppers, and started whispering. "Yeah, everything's alright. They're talking strategy over there, and I feel like Jason isn't a good companion for us. Those two--well, at least the girl--are willing to kill anyone, even each other when it comes to it. I say we either get rid of them first or avoid them until someone else takes them out. Not to mention the girl seems rather prideful. She's arrogant. And I don't like it..." he faded out at this. Those were his own thoughts, his own reasons for wanting to kill the girl. He wouldn't mind killing Jason either. After all, they weren't exactly friendly with each other. Matthias looked over at the boy on the ground, who hadn't said anything in a while. "What do you think, Pax?"

Celeste smiled up at Matthias and walked with him and said Your right, I think for now, it should be just us...The girl looks like she has to much pride, and Jason looks easy to take down...But maybe we should let the elements and the rest handle them for now... She looked up at the doors they were opening she whispered to Pax and Matthias Were about to start!

Pax glanced up at Matthias and Celeste, his face passive. He'd been quietly observing the other tributes, trying to see what they were all like. "Frankly, I think Jason would stab us in the back," he said. "Wren's definitely arrogant, but she might have a reason to be, if she's really that good. But I like the plan of lying low." He glanced between the two. "We should take strategy too, you know. First thing is sponsors." He looked critically at Matthias. "You'll get them for sure. The Capitol girls would love you." He looked at Celeste. "Definitely," he nodded. "You two'll have no problem getting sponsors with your looks alone. Me, I'll have to think of something." His turquoise eyes glinted as he grinned. "If I'm lucky, they'll have had the cameras rolling during my escape attempts. Wouldn't like to repeat that performance." He glanced around, looking for any spying cameras. Creepy.
He stood as the doors opened, one hand jumping to the amulet around his neck. This is it, Leilani. Time to see if I really am courageous. "Stick together," he whispered to Matthias and Celeste. "Just run, as soon as they start it." Pax's hunter instincts were kicking in, thinking of possible plans.

Jason was in mid conversation when he heard a loud noise. Turning toward it, he found the doors opening. Finally. He thought. He hated waiting, and this just seemed too long of a wait for a game this big. He was sure the Capitol would want things to get going. They always did. They loved to watch everyone slaughter eachother. But if that's how the Big Guy rolled, then Jason rolled right along with him.
Matthias simply nodded at Pax. He had gotten a bit distracted by the girl's pride, and had to admit that he wasn't actually thinking much strategy. The doors were what threw him off, though. He had forgotten that the Games--well, preparation for the Games--started inside the old Great Hall of Hogwarts, where the tributes first went before Voldemort. These weren't the actual Games yet. That would wait until actual transport to the arena, which was after training. So they still technically had a few days before any killing would happen. If they were lucky. "Let's go, there's no sense in waiting here," he said, walking side by side with Pax and Celeste, within arm's reach of both people. Hopefully he could show that even though he was from District 3 he wasn't afraid of these people, of the Games, of the possibility of his death. As he walked into the Great Hall, he straightened his back a little and held his head high. Time to present himself.

"Alright," Said Wren, closing her eyes and taking a short breath. She stood there, her face tranquil. When she relaxed her eyebrows, closed her eyes and undid her smirk, she actually looked quite bonnie. But as soon as she opened her dark blue eyes with a sharp snap, Wren Tempest was back.
Wren Tempest, the cunning and murdering Career. "So the show starts here."
