Derek shrugged. "Am I?" he asked quite surprised with himself as well. "You're not bad yourself, actually. Haven't stepped on my feet yet and we've been dancing for almost a full thirty seconds. Isn't that something?" He smiled at her now. This wasn't so bad, not really.

"Yes, very good..." she said with a grin. "I'm sure once some of the girls here see you dancing with me, you'll have a line!" she assured. She laughed when he mentioned her stepping on his feet. "Well, I am trying quite hard not to step on your feet, I don't want them broken for our next Marco Polo," she said with a wink. She hope that this was enough of a hint for him, although she knew that he wouldn't be able to say her name.

Hermione looked around the hall Adrianna and Rocio had gone to dance with two boys she wasn't sure if they knew them though. she saw a boy by himself and he had a excellent costume he reminded her of 'a night in shining armor' but without the armor she didn't feel any attraction to him but hey, she wanted someone to dance with she walked over to him and smiled "would you like to dance" she asked wondering if she knew them

Derek was now sure he knew her and it had to be Adrianna. Rocio had gone off with Chad and Adrianna was the only other girl who had been present for their game. "Right," he said. "I look forward to that next game." Though, truth be told, Derek hadn't participated in their last game all that much. Maybe next time he'd feel more willing and open.

Gabe heard someone that he assumed was talking to him and he turned around. Smiling, he bowed, keeping in character, and looked up at the girl. He knew it wasn't Adrianna, but he couldn't just stand and stalk the whole dance. Taking a final look at girl in blue and James Bond, he looked back to the girl he was standing with and held out his arm. "I would be honored."

Adrianna smiled brightly at him. "Oh good, I hope you will," she said, as they continued to dance. "So, are you having fun still?" she asked him, hoping that him knowing who she was wouldn't change anything. "I didn't want to lead you on, so I figured I would clue you in," she added, quickly winking. She glanced over and then saw Hermione going over to the man that had caught her eye. A flare of jealousy shot through her, and she was surprised by the intensity of it. She knew Hermione didn't have a boyfriend, but she had always thought the girl had a thing for Ron. But, since she was single, would she go after this mystery man. Once again, Adri felt her mind spinning as she fought to control the whirlwind of emotions.

Derek had been watching this girl carefully. He could tell she had been doing this so he would have something to do, but he was okay with that. "Yeah, it's fun," he nodded. He then noticed her glance in a corner. Derek looked and so a young man with a hat and very prince-like clothing. A girl was talking to him. He wondered if that was Gabe and whether Adrianna had realized this and felt jealous? He figured once the song was over, he'd let her go. He'd find someone else to talk to.

"So... see anyone you would like to dance with yet... I wasn't lying to you when I said you were a good dancer," she assured him. "I bet you could get any girl you wanted- especially with the air of mystery on you," she added with a grin. She risked a glance over the boy and Hermione and hoped that she would get a chance to talk to him at some point.

"No, no one yet," admitted Derek. "But how about you go. I can tell you've had your eye on that guy over there." He let her go. "I'll find someone else to dance with." He gave her a reassuring smile.

"Are you sure? Derek, I came over with... I can't say the name. But I came over to have fun with you guys, not to just dance once and leave you," she told him with a smile. "We can at least finish this dance before I wander off to socialize further," she said with a laugh.

Hermione smiling at the mystery boy grinned "great" she said walking with him to the dance floor she had a huge feeling she knew that voice was it defiantly wasn't Derek she had the feeling Adri was dancing with him and she didn't think it was Chad so that left two people Gabe and Aston she wondered who it was but just started dancing happily "danced with anyone else tonight" Hermione said keeping up conversation so she could detect who it was.

"Fine, we'll finish this dance," said Derek with a nod. He continued to dance with her, swaying rhythmically to the music and trying his best not to trod on her.

"No." Gabe said plainly resting his hands lightly on her waist. "Have you?" He didn't speak much, it just added to his mysterious persona. The less he let on that it was him the better. His eyes looked over to where the other couple was dancing and he saw that she was looking in his direction. He nodded his head nonchalantly and looked back at Hermione.

Adrianna smiled as they continued the dance. He really was a good dancer, and he never even got close to trodding on her toes. Although, she had noticed that he was making extra sure to avoid that. Soon, the song finished. "I have some advice... look at the girl when you're dancing," she said with a grin. "You'll be fine, and you won't step on her feet- especially if she's wearing a dress," she said with a wink. "Good luck, and have fun!" she said, walking over to a floating tray of drinks.

She glanced over and saw the boy's nod in her direction. There was a tingle along her spine and she smiled at him. She grabbed a drink and drained it, placing the cup on another one designated for trash. Then, she looked over at the mystery man once again, wondering if she would get a chance to talk to him that night.

Derek nodded as Adrianna gave him some advice. He'd have to make a mental not of that too. On second thought, he'd have to find himself a notebook so he could write all these notes down. Otherwise, he'd be forgetting all of these tips.

Adrianna glanced over at Derek and noticed his expression. He seemed like he was having a hard time taking it all in, and her tips had only made it worse. Smiling slightly, she took out her wand and silently sent a memory spell over to him. She wanted Derek to have fun tonight- not worry about every little thing. She knew this would help him. After she cast the spell, she quickly put away her wand so that Derek wouldn't see what she had done.

Derek felt an odd sensation fall over him. He looked around wildly to see what happened but noticed nothing. Instead he shrugged it off and walked off. There was something different about his walk too. He wasn't sulking but rather standing up tall. He went straight for the refreshments table. He was feeling oddly hungry and thirsty at the moment.

Aston found a seat at a random table and looked out at all the people dancing and then over at someone in a white dress, his cousin most likely with shocking blonde hair. He sighed again.

Paisley noticed Adrianna leace the person she had been dancing with and head off again. She sighed and walked over to the person Adri had been with. But who could it be? She smiled at him as she approached and spoke quietly. "Want to dance?" She looked at him.

Derek looked startled as a new girl came over and asked to dance. He didn't think anyone would approach him. Then again, they didn't know who he was. Or so he was to assume. "Dance?" Derek repeated regaining from his shock. "Sure. Let's dance." He held out a hand for this mysterious and blond girl. Then again, that probably wasn't her hair color.

Paisley took a deep breath and placed her hand in his as she stepped out onto the dance floor with him. The song wasnt very slow but it wasnt very fast. Not much of a dancing track. She looked at him and noticed he was looking ar her insanely blonde hair. Yeah maybe she had gone a tad too bright. She smiled again as she realised he was rpobably catching on that it wasnt her natural hair.

Once they were on the dance floor, Derek started swaying to the music trying to get used to the rhythm. "I'm not the best dancer in the world, I'll have you know," he warned the girl. He felt like he knew her. Then again, he probably didn't. There were a lot of girls in this school he didn't know.

Paisley smiled. "You should see my cousin..." She chuckled knowing that could have given something away. She looked away again. "Nevr mind. Im not fantastic." She smiled again as she began to dance with him.

Adrianna had grabbed another drink, a Butterbeer this time, and was scanning the dance floor. It was then that she had seen Paisley and Derek together. Her smile was wide as she watched them together. "So cute," she muttered, and took another sip of her Butterbeer. She looked around, trying to find when the handsome prince had gone.

Gabe had been enjoying his dance with this girl and could tell that sh was happy as well. When the song ended, he held her hand up to his mouth and kissed it lightly. "Thank you for honoring me with this dance." He said, his voice a little deeper than usual. He looked towards the refreshment table to see the princess standing alone and he grinned. "enjoy the rest of your evening." He said to the girl in his normal voice which couldn't be mistaken as his own. He gave her a grin then turned and made his way across the room.

He reached the table looking at the beautiful creature that stood before him. Deepening his voice, he spoke. "What is a beautiful princess such as yourself doing standing alone?" His eyes just coudn't be torn away from her. Just then a slow dance started "Would m'lady honor me in this dance?" He said softly bowing very gentleman like looking up at her.

Adrianna finally took the final sip of her Butterbeer, then put the cup away. Suddenly, she heard a voice, one that seemed to echo within her like the perfect tone of a bell. She turned to see the prince standing before her, and image of Prince Charming himself. When he spoke to her, she couldn't speak, hardly daring to believe that this wasn't a dream. But, when he asked her to dance, she finally felt like she was able to move. "I would be honored," she said, going down into a deep curtsy. She looked up from her curtsy, and her own green eyes met his deep blue ones.
