Hermione rushed over to a mirror and died her hair and made her hair smooth "what do you guys think" she said spinning around gleefully.

Piasley smiled. "Mione you look fab." She grinned as she awaited Rocio to answer her.

Gabe stayed in his dorm until the ball began. He was beginning to second guess his confience in fiding Adrianna. Trying to shove that thought to the back of his mind, he started to think of what he was going to say to her. He hoped that when they revealed themselves, that she would like his costume, she was the inspiration afer all.

Hermione grinned at paisley "you look fab too" she said "are you nearly ready" she asked the room

Ooc: Let's do this!! Sorry about this weekend... I had to be at the barn both days- longer than I thought I would have to be! And, it completely drained me! But, I'm here now and I'm ready!!

Adrianna glanced at the clock that was hanging on the wall. "Hurry up guys, we have to be down there soon!" she said, feeling a flutter of excitement. Quickly, she raised her wand and performed a spell that put some of her hair in a fancy knot on the top of her head. She applied some make-up, which was quite unlike her. SHe never really wore it unless she had to. Finally, she put on her mask. She stood at the door and looked at her friends. "Shall we?" she asked, grinning as she looked at her friends. They all looked amazing. If she looked half as good as they did, she would be happy. Looking in a mirror, she saw that she almost looked like a maiden that she had said she was earlier. Maybe Gabe would be her knight in shining armor after all.

Paisley smiled and stood up. "Lets get going." She reapplied her lipstick and her mascara and looked at the others. "C'mon then.." She said as she walked out of the room down the stairs towards the Great Hall smiling to herself waitign for them to catch up.

Aston smiled as he saw some people headed to the Great Hall. He rose and walked into the great hall despite the laughter at his kangaroo costume.

Adrianna grinned and then gathered up her dress. Carefully, she stepped out of the RoR. She couldn't stop smiling, she had already noticed. Looking back, she saw that everyone was still trying to finish up. "We should wait... I would hate to leave them behind!" she said with a laugh. "Oh! Everyone, make sure you memorize each other's outfits... otherwise we'll lose each other!" she advised.

"Okay. We all look totally different." She looked at her. "I wont be able to remember." She said to them as she stopped outside the Great Hall.

Rocio had followed them. She was quite excited for the ball. "It'll be amazing," she grinned to herself as she stood with the other girls.

Gabe looked at the clock and saw that he was already late to the ball. Taking one last look in the mirror, he nodded in approval and grinned. Fixing his hat and making sure his mask was on right. He left his common room in the highest of spirits and made his way past the kitchens.

Adrianna looked at her friends once more, and smiled. She took their hands. "Let's go!" she said, and pulled them gently into the Great Hall. She stopped as soon as she stepped in. The room had been totally redecorated, with the usual pumpkins and bats. However, there were other decorations that floated around the room, decorated the walls, and even stood in the middle of the floor. There were streamers that spun, ghosts- personally invited by Dumbledore- that wandered around the slowly growing group of students. Gravestones littered the dance floor, along with floating trays of various foods. "Wow," she said, looking around.

"It's brilliant," said Rocio. she looked around the Great Hall with awe and entered it slowly. "They went all out this year, didn't they? I think it's fantastic." She then looked around to see the people who had arrived. She wondered who they all were, but that was the fun of this thing, right?

Derek had given up on finding a formal costume. He had settled on a plain, tuxedo with a black mask to match. Sure, it wasn't the most creative thing in the world, but no one ever said he was the most creative guy in the world either. He studied himself in the mirror. He was pleased with himself and hey, he was going to this thing so the others should be happy just for that.

Derek glanced a nearby clock and noticed it was late. He didn't both to hurry though. He took his time in headed down to the Great Hall where he was sure it would be full with excited students. Much more excited than him at any rate.

By the time Gabe made it down to the Great Hall, it was already packed with almost the entire school. great he thought to himself. this is going to be like looking for a needle in a haystack. He made his way to a corner of the room studying all of the students that he passed on the way, none of them even remotely reminding him of Adrianna.

Adrianna smiled still, glad that the time had come for the dance at last. She still held that hope that maybe she would find her Prince CHarming tonight, and hoped that it would be Gabe, but at this point she was just happy to be at the dance. Just then, music began to play- a song not meant for couples, but just purely for the joy of dancing. "Come on! Let's dance!" Adrianna said, dragging her friends out onto the dance floor. She touched her hand to her mask, to make sure that it was still secure, but she had a feeling it wouldn't come off even if she tried to take it off.

Rocio grinned as Adrianna excitedly dragged them all over to the dance floor. "Alright, alright," she laughed. "Calm down!" It just occurred to Rocio that she'd have to be extra careful not to say her friends' names.

As he stood in the corner, he leaned against the wall folding his arms in front of his chest. One of those songs was playing, the kind that he didn't dance to. He smirked as he saw some of the rather...interesting costmes that some of the students were wearing. He had been watchign the students for a while, as were some other students so he wouldn't stand out at all.

Just then he caught a glimpse of a shimmering blue dress, that seemed to stand out among the others for some reason. He was quite intrigued by the dress, although he couldn't get a good enough look to determine who it was, so he continued watching as the mysterious woman danced. Every nowand then he would say hello to a random student now and again so as not to look like a stalker.

His mind raced with the hopes that this mystery woman was Adrianna, and he decided that when a song song began, he would ask the girl to dance. Of course, ther was always that chance that it wasn't Adrianna. In fac the chances of her being Adri were practically slim to none considering the high number of the female population that was attending. But, even if it wasn't, it wouldn't hurt to dance with her.

Ooc: Hey everyone, just one thing I would like, and have kind-of hinted at- our charries cannot say who anyone is... like, they could try, but it would end up silent sort of thing... you know, add to the magical aspect of it!! Adrianna laughed as she began to dance with Rocio. She was having a blast, just being here with her friend and not worrying about what anyone thought of them as they danced. She spun, allowing her dress to flair out in a bell shape around her. She stopped, still laughing, allowing the spinning room to slow. When she stopped, something caught her eye, and she turned. There, a man stood wearing a large hat, baggy white shirt and a sword at his side. The world around him blurred, and he alone stood out. She blinked, and everything came into focus, but there was still that feeling.

She turned back to Rocio and continued to dance, however her whole mind wasn't into as much. She was wondering about that guy, and what the strange pull had been that caused her to see him, and him alone. Soon, the song ended and she grinned at Rocio. "Well, shall we find dates?" she asked her friend. The next song was one that could be a couples dance, but wasn't awkward for those without a date to dance to. "HAve your eye on anyone yet?" she asked, standing next to her friend and scanning the crowd. Out of the corner of her eye, she kept an eye on the guy. She found him easily, he still seemed to stand out, and he always seemed to be close to the edge of the crowd, and facing her. Her mouth twitched in a small smile, as she waited for her friend to answer.

Chad wandered through the beautifully decorated ballroom. His normally blond locks dyed dark brown and he wore a traditonally suit. The Ravenclaw smiled at some of his fellow Ravenclaws and then moved toward the punch bowl.

After having some golden colored drink, Chad decided he would look for Derek and see if the young man had decided to come after all.

Slowly he made his way looking for the shy young man. Chad had told alll his guy freinds what he would be dressed as and realized he had no idea what they were dressed as.

"No," said Rocio scanning the Great Hall for any potential dates. "But I can tell you definitely have your eye on one." She smirked at her friend and glanced at the corner she had seen her looking at. "He caught your eye, did he? Better talk to him, no?"

Derek was seated at a table with a goblet of pumpkin juice. He had decided to skip out on the dancing for now. He looked around at everyone and realized he didn't recognize a single person. Even Rocio seemed to have hidden her fiery hair well. He'd just have to sit here until he found someone he knew. Or had the guts to talk to someone. The former was more likely.

"Der?" Chad asked, stepping over to a young man sitting by himself. He could tell that it was Derek just fro the way he was sitting there by himself. Chad smiled and pulled up a chair next to the young man.

"You having fun yet?" The Ravenclaw asked and then was struck suddenly by Rocio's absence, "You didn't come down with Rocio?" He asked.

"No," he said. "She's been with the girls getting ready all afternoon, why?" He raised a curious eyebrow. "Interested in her?" he asked. That must be it. Why else would he ask for her.

Adrianna laughed. "Well, yeah..." she said, glancing over at him once again. "Maybe I will, but the dance has only begun... I want to make sure that he is who I think he is... what if he isn't Gabe?" she asked. She was surprised that she could actually say his name. "Let me try something," she said, turning to Rocio. "I want to see if we can introduce ourselves..." she explained. "Hi, I'm-" she tried to say her name to Rocio. But it didn't work. She couldn't do it! "Dumbledore's a genius!" she whispered, grinning. "

"I think you just can't say the name of the people whom you know they are," said Rocio. She paused and then opened her mouth to say Adrianna's name, but didn't. "Yeah, I can't say your name!" She giggled. "This only makes thinks more interesting."

"Uh... No." Chad said, unconvincingly. He honestly didn't know, infact if he was honest with himself he was confused about his feelings towards the young woman.

"Why? You think she likes me or something? Cause that could be akward." Chad laughed and grabbed two butterbeers from a floating tray. He handed on to Derek and took a long sip of his own.

Gabe watched the girl moving gracefully as she danced, her blue dress moving perfectly with her. He caught just a glimpse of her face and from what he could see, she was gorgeous, and looked as if she was glowing. She was a vision of beauty.

The song changed and Gabe looked around noticing that a few of the students had coupled off, but he still wasn't happy with the song yet. It just, wasn't right. He wanted to make a perfect entrance, and to do that, it had to be a slow one.
