Depressing title for a depressing start to an RPG that will possibly end depressingly.
Many people are aquainted somewhat with the P&P series as it's affectionately come to be known.
This takes place after the RPG "Love, Lust, Life and Death".
Professor Severus Snape has been set to Azkaban for the murder of Darrin Fletcher. He intended to kill the man after he caught him abusing his lover, Marcella Riddle, daughter to the Dark Lord. However, the boy, under the control of Voldemort, defied death and kept returning to life to haunt them.
In the end it was Voldemort who killed Darrin as he heroically fought off the posession of the Dark Lord and died in the process.
But, because Marcella and Darrin were the only people present at this, there is no evidence to suggest Voldemort killed Darrin, other than Marcella's word. So Snape has gone to Azkaban for the original murder of the student.
Darrin came to Hogwarts following the Durmstrang Massacre and it was about this time that he became posessed by lord Voldemort who had learnt of his daughter;s whereabouts, of Snape's double-dealings and of the affair between his daughter and traitorous servant.
The RPG opens in Norway, where Snape and Marcella first met in the RPG "Light met the Dark and Shone". Snape owned a cottage there and was instructed to take care of the girl - keep her safe from her father. In doing so, a bond formed and they grew to love and depend upon each other.
In "Parseltongue and Purebloods" Marcella temporarily took her father's orders and forgot Severus. However, part way through their love was re-united. This was also when Kristi Snape was introduced to the story. In the beginning not many knew of who her father was, but at this point in time, most characters know (apart from those will be relative stranegrs to them). She was a loner and spied on Marcella amongst other students, for her father, who did not want her mingling with them.
Her mother died, somewhat mysteriously and no-one knows exactly how. Snape never was fond of his daughter, he saw it more as his duty to take care of her but throughout the series they have grown closer.
Another character that is present is Nicholas Lestrange, half-brother to Marcella, his mother is bellatrix, his father, Voldemort. At the end of the last RPG he was somewhat dating Kristi and had agreed to move to Norway with his sister and girlfriend.
Kristi, Marcella and Nick are all 18 and have finished school. Under Dumbledore's instruction they must be monitored at all times whilst in Norway. Aurors and Neighbours surround them and, in the beginning, they get on with their lives, each forgetting their horrible pasts. But, eventually, they come back to haunt them when a mass breakout in Azkaban occurs and Snape is taken prisoner by Voldemort. He then uses him to lure Marcella and the others (including the order and Dumbledore) to him, which is when he reveals all he knows about their affair and sets out his plan to punish all who have stod in his path.
* Characters needed
These following ones are the ones that know Kristi is Snape's daughter. They also know all about the past of the three teenagers.
Emmaline

Hestia When it comes to the end, we will also need to have:

Hogwarts RPG Name: Marcella Riddle Graduated | Kaplinski Rival Sorting Hat Machine Marcella felt Kristi stiffen, in almost fear and gripped the girls other hand tightly. She flashed her a would-be sympathetic smile as if to say 'You're not alone' and faced the crowd of people too. Feeling perhaps someone should speak up, she coughed so as to get everyone's attention and then parted her lips, closing them briefly a few times before saying anything.
"Umm, I don't really know what's quite appropriate to say. We're all very glad that you've all put so much time and effort into allowing us to have what little freedom we have left and we're very grateful to you all for all the risk you've taken in setting up consealing spells and precautions. But as from now, we will no longer require the prescence of any aurors other than Sirius, Moody and Tonks. Dumbledore has said that Lupin will be meeting us here shortly and that he will hold the right to take us back to Britain immediately should anything unfortunate happen to us.
Once again, I thank you and I apologise that this had to happen on such sad terms. What's happening now to us..." she said, as she looked at her friends.."Might seem bad. But it's nothing compared to what Snape is going through." |

| Technically technical all the time Bookaholic Kristi was more than relieved when the mass of aurors left after Marcella's little speech. She had no idea her friend could be so gracious. Perhaps she was just overcompensating. After they left, Kristi turned to Marcella and Nick. "You can take Snape's bedroom, if you want, Marce. And there's a bedroom next to mine that you can have, Nick. Dumbledore extended the hallway so there's rooms for the guards, too," she rolled her eyes.
They were perfectly safe here so long as they didn't venture outside. Besides, what more could Tonks, Moody, and Black do than she Nick and Marce were capable of? This led Kristi to believe that the they were here more to keep them from doing anything like trying to rescue Snape than to prevent menace from outside.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Marcella Riddle Graduated | Kaplinski Rival Sorting Hat Machine "Well, why don't you go show Nick the rooms and around the cottage, seeing as he hasn't been here before." she said to Kristi, knowing the two could probably benefit from some alone time too. "Dumbledore asked me, or morelike told me, to write to him the second we arrived at our destination. So I'd better go and do that. See you two for Supper later?" she asked, without really requiring an answer. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Marcella Riddle Graduated | Kaplinski Rival Sorting Hat Machine She cursed as she realised that, in their haste to leave, she'd completely forgotten her owl. Feeling a sickly feel settle in her stomach, thinking that was just another thing she'd lost that she couldn't deal with, she swallowed what little pride she had left and approached Sirius who appeared to be slightly busy saying farewell to some of the aurors who had helped with the move.
Hanging her travelling robe on the stand, she tugged at Sirius' elbow and, with wide eyes, she asked, unknowingly, "Could I, by any chance, borrow an owl to send word to Dumbledore that we've arrived?" |

| Technically technical all the time Bookaholic She smirked at Marcella, sensing the reason for her neessary tour of the cottage for Nick but, wasn't going to complain. "Of course. Where else would we eat?" she asked before looking up at Nick. "So, do you want to start with the basement or with the bedrooms?"

Hogwarts RPG Name: Marcella Riddle Graduated | Kaplinski Rival Sorting Hat Machine "Well, knowing what I'm like, I'd probably say bedroom. But that wouldn't be in good taste. I'd say, the safest bet is for you to decide, my precious." he added, slipping a secretive hand around her back and resting it on her hip.
He watched as Marcella skulked off and felt a tug inside himself, for some reason he didn't trust Black. But he didn't allow that to distract himself from Kristi. |

| Technically technical all the time Bookaholic "Well, then, let's start in the basement and we can work our way up to the bedroom," she said, taking his hand from around her waist and using it to lead him through the living room and to the basement stairs.
She lit her wand tip and they made their way down. "So, this is the basement. Nothing down here of interest to anyone that isn't interested in potions, though. Just books, ingredients, cauldrons, and stuff like that," she said. "Now that I think about it, I probably could have just showed you the door and left it at that. We didn't really have to come all the way down here."

Hogwarts RPG Name: Marcella Riddle Graduated | Kaplinski Rival Sorting Hat Machine He sniggered as she said 'make our way up to the bedroom' and responded with an "Oh aye, so that's what you intend to do with me is it?" He pretended to act interested as she showed him around the basement and said, "Seems like the perfect place to do dark deeds to me. No wonder your father spent so much time down here." he added, with a smirk on his face, contemplating shuting the door and pushing her against it. |

| Technically technical all the time Bookaholic Kristi awarded his comment with a glare. "Doesn't anyone ever have something nice to say about Snape? I know his relationship with Marcella isn't exactly kosher but, do you really have to go on making jokes about it?" she asked, moving away from Nick and using the opportunity to put away a few texts as an excuse to turn away from him.

| Double Agent Stamps! Sirius looks out the carriage and sees Snape's cottage. It is a beautiful sight to his tired eyes. At that moment all he wants is a hot bath and a warm bed. He sits and watches the three students leave the carriage, and he can't help noticing Nicholas's little show of rebellion. It only confirms what Sirius alread knows. Nicholas is his mother's son and can't be trusted. It also breaks Sirius's heart to see Kristie look at him with such cold eyes. Even so, he is happy to discover she has Faith's spirit and James's reckless nature. Kristie is a true Potter regardless of her Snape genes. Sirius exists the carriage and watches the trio walk to the cottage. Once again, he can't help but stare at Kristie. He hates having to be so hard with her, but she doesn't understand the danger they all are in. Suddenly, Sirius starts shaking his head. "Dwelling on the past is only going to succeed in getting us all killed," he thinks to himself, "I've got to stay focused on the present." Since Tonks has managed the luggage on her own, Sirius decides to retrieve the owls from on top of the carriage. He takes out his wand and levitates them to the cottage. The warm glow of the fire guides him to the sitting room. It's quite cold in Norway this time of the year. He's surprised to find the room full of wizards, and Marcella addressing them like she's the Minister of Magic. Sirius is impressed by the girl's poise and confidence. If she wasn't Voldemort's daughter, she would have a bright future. As it stands, her future is uncertain. Overwhelmed by all the people, Sirius deposits the owls in a corner and tries to make polite conversation. He's never been very good with social niceties, so Sirius is also relieved to see the wizards go. He gladly says his good-byes to them. While he watches them leave, he can't help wondering where his old friend, Remus Lupin, is. Sirius was sure he would be here by now. Scanning the room, he sees Nick place his hand around Kristie's back, and the two of them sneak out of the room. Sirius wants to follow after them but is stopped by someone tugging at his elbow. Marcella stands next to him and appears to be asking him about the owls. "The owls?" he asks, "I brought them in and put them in the corner. They should be alright there for the time being." Marcella looks at him with her doe like eyes and acts like she doesn't understand a word he's just said. She explains she has to send a letter to Dumbledore and needs to borrow an owl. "Oh!" Sirius says, "I also need to send a report to him about our trip asap (Sirius had completely forgotten about it.)." "Professor Dumbledore is suppose to have had a makeshift owlry made in part of the attic," Sirius says, "I guess I should let the owls get acguainted with their new home." He levitates the owl cages and starts to head out of the room, but then realizes he doesn't know the way to the attic. Sirius turns to Marcella and says, "you've been to cottage before, haven't you?" She says yes, but it was a few years ago. "Then you can tell me how to get to the attic?" he says. Then suddenly Sirius can't stop laughing at himself and the predicament he's in.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Marcella Riddle Graduated | Kaplinski Rival Sorting Hat Machine "With pleasure..." she said, her eyes narrowed; she wasn't sure what to make of his odd outburst of laughter. Taking a lamp from the mentalpiece, she lit the candle within it and led him up the creaky wooden steps, remembering to tell him along the way which planks were wobbly and where there were holes in the stairs.
"You wouldn't happen to be a handy man, would you?" she asked, pushing open th latch door into the attic. "Because there are some things, the stairs among them, that I wouldn't mind you fixing."
With a mighty heave, she pulled down the wooden ladder and ascended into the attic, which distinctly smelt of rust and dust. She sneezed eractically and cursed several times over, wondering why in the blue heck nape never cleaned this place. Snape, she thought.
Figuring Sirius would probably be able to navigate himself around the small room, she leant against the only window sill in the room and sat on a heavy metal trunk, twisting a strand of hair around her finger, squinting out into the horizon, sorely missing him and wondering what he might be doing right this second. Was he missing her as much as she missed him? She felt so empty inside, her body felt as if it were missing its left arm. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Marcella Riddle Graduated | Kaplinski Rival Sorting Hat Machine "Aww c'mon Kristi, you know I didn't mean it like that. I just meant...I was just trying to...well, lighten the mood. Everyone's so stiff up there and the tension is just unbearable. Neither you nor Marce will actually talk about it and it's not right to just act like nothing's happened. It's not natural.." he pleaded, watching her for a few seconds as she busied herself. Knowing she were upset, he slipped his arms around her loosely from behind and held her, prepared for the fact that she may push him away. |

| Technically technical all the time Bookaholic She wasn't sure if she wanted to pull away from him or turn around and bury her face in his chest. Actually, what was she really wanted was to do the latter but, her pride was trying to convince her the former was the best course of action. She settled on a compromise and merely let her weight fall back on him as she pulled his arms tighter around her. She leaned her head against him and closed her eyes. "It doesn't matter that you don't think it's natural to act like nothing's happened. We're dealing in our own way and you've just got to let us live in our delusions for a while longer," Kristi said, rather detachedly. "I don't want to talk about it."

Hogwarts RPG Name: Marcella Riddle Graduated | Kaplinski Rival Sorting Hat Machine Perhaps surprisingly, it was Nick who ended up pulling away. Lifting an unsure hand to the back of his neck, he seemed to cling onto it by the end of his nails and stammered, "Well, I cant do that Kristi. I'm sorry, but I cant be there for you if you wont talk to me. It's alright if you feel you cant. I mean, I shouldn't expect you to. You barely know me. But still, I cant be here and be like this, knowing your hurting while also being told there's nothing I can do about it, so I should just forget about it. I cant Kristi, I'm sorry." he said, doing a double-take before he made a dash for the stairs. He clung onto the bannister for a while before ascending them without looking back.

Sighing, she ran after after him and grabbed his sleeve before he could reach the top of the stairs. "Wait!" she said. "Aren't you even gonna give me a chance to respond?"

Hogwarts RPG Name: Marcella Riddle Graduated | Kaplinski Rival Sorting Hat Machine "Fine. I'm sure I can too." he added as retort, knowing fully well what he said wasn't true. But that didn't mean he was going to regret what he had said to her. If she wouldn't talk, how could he help her? he asked himself over and over again as he wandered around the house, hoping to bump into Marce so he could talk to her about it, but not seeing her once on his travels. |

| Technically technical all the time Bookaholic Kristi walked heavily back down the stairs and slumped into a hard-backed chair by the empty grate. She pointed her wand to light a fire and merely sat, staring into the flames. What did he want her to say to him? That she was angry? That she wished her father hadn't been locked up? Wasn't it obvious that she would be feeling those emotions? Why was it that people thought you needed to share what you were feeling with others? She sighed and wrenched her gaze from the fire to look over at the shelves of books. If only there was some way...
She shook her head and got up. Being down here wasn't helping at all. She was getting delusional, thinking there was anything she could do to get him out this time (not that she had been able to do anything last time, either). Kristi started ascending the stairs and wondered if Nick might be right, maybe she did need to talk to someone. She emerged at the top of the staircase and decided to boil some tea while she considered the benefits of baring her soul. She had done it once with Darrin and it hadn't been that terrible. She even had to admit that she had felt better, at least for a little while, though having him hold her while they lay in bed hadn't hurt, either.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Marcella Riddle Graduated | Kaplinski Rival Sorting Hat Machine It was with deep regret that he stumbled upon Kristi in the Kitchen whilst on his third lap of the ground floor on the cottage. Not quite certain what to do, he entered the kitchen and hung back in the doorway, tapping his nails against the frame, biting the nails on the other. He crossed his one leg across the over and anxiously coughed, before saying, "I'm sorry Kristi. I didn't mean to hurt you."

| Technically technical all the time Bookaholic She turned as she she heard someone cough and was relieved to see that it was only Nick. She was still uncomfortable with having the other complete strangers in the cottage and it almost felt as if the place had been desecrated after Black crossed the threshold. "No, it's ok," Kristi replied, removing the boiling kettle from the range and opening one of the cupboard doors before turning back to Nick. "Would you care for some tea? I think... Well, I've been thinking about what you said and I think I might want to... Well, I suppose I need..."
She sighed and turned back to her tea making. Even just expressing the idea that she wanted to talk with him about what was happening was difficult for her. With Darrin, it just came out, all natural. She hadn't asked if she could talk to him, she just opened up. Why couldn't she just do the same with Nick?

| Double Agent Stamps! Sirius watches Marcella's eyes narrow and a sly smile come over her face. He wonders what Miss Riddle has planned for him. "By all means lead the way," he says levitating the owl cages in front of him. He follows her up the creaky wooden steps trying to avoid the damaged ones. Sirius fails and his left foot falls through the hole. "I see what you mean," he says waving his left hand over the damaged step. His foot pops out and the hole disappears. "I'm not very good with a muggle hammer and nails, but I can see what I can do. I hate to see Miss Snape or yourself get hurt." Marcella doesn't believe a word he says. She knows he hates her father and Severus with a vengence. Marcella and Sirius proceed up the stairs in silence. They come to the wooden ladder to the attic, and she pulls it down. Sirius levitates the cages up, then Marcella and he climb it. The attic is covered in dust and cobwebs. It also smells of rust and dust. Sirius flicks his wand and lights the candles around the room causing the dust to scatter. Marcella sneezes and he coughs uncontrollably. "Scourgify," he says, "now that's better." Sirius opens the cages and releases the snowy white owls. Three of them settle into the nests along the walls, but the fourth one flies out the opening in the wall. Sirius watches the bird fly into the night jealous of his freedom. With himself still a wanted man, he is as much a prisoner of this house as the students are. He then notices Marcella sitting on the trunk playing with her hair. Although he doesn't like or trust her, he's still intrigued by her. He has always been attracted to dangerous women, and who could be more dangerous than Voldemort's daughter. Marcella sits there looking out the window with a sullen look on her face. Sirius doesn't have a clue what to do to improve her mood. "Blasted! Remus should be here," he thinks to himself, "he knows how to deal with difficult students." Sirius gives up and returns to looking out at the night sky. He has to quickly duck as the fourth owl flies back into the room. He drops the dead rat out of his claws and perches himself on Marcella's lap. She gently strokes the bird. A calm expression comes over her face. Sirius walks over and feeds the owl a treat. "I think he likes you," he says. Marcella ignore him.

| FEE FII FOOO FONA! Tonks was left alone as the others left the room. Sirius had gone with Marcella to the attic, and Kristi had dissapeared off with Nick. Moody was still talking to the Order members outside. She wandered curiously about the house. The sitting room was larger than she expected. Dumbledore must have enlarged it, she thought as she moved along, after all, this was probably the most people this cottage had ever seen. The room had a comfortable but formal feel, the presence of it's owner still somehow hanging to it. She couldn't imagine leaving anything out of place here. And she noticed as she looked, that there was a distinct lack of pictures. Wandering on she came to the kitchen. Careful not to stumble, she entered the kitchen. It was equiped with all the esentials, she noticed, and returning to the door she retrieved the provisions they had brought, heaving the basket up on the counter. Should she make herself a cup of tea, she wondered, her eyes still taking in the room. Deciding against it, she headed back into the sitting room, and was looking over the bookcase there when Nick walked through the room, heading towards the kitchen. Her eyes followed him as he walked. Something about that kid bothered her. Maybe it was just that he was a Lestrange, she didn't know, but Tonks felt decidedly unsure of him. Now at a loss, Tonks stared out the window to where Moody stood with the departing men. Should she go outside and join him or find Sirius and Marcella. Deciding on the later, she headed towards the stairs, looking up as she climbed.

OOC - The owl she left behind was Minnelli. I hate to sound like a stiff (I'm not a stiff btw, just maybe over obsessive) but can you not RP Marce talking about things. I don't mind the other stuff, just the thing about the owl. "He reminds me of my old bird, Minelli. I left her behind, I guess I was just too distracted with everything else going on in my life to remember her. Stupid of me really, she's been there for me practically all my life, when no-one else was."
Rather suddenly, she stopped talking, almost as if she had just realised that she'd been confiding in a Black. A shudder ran up her spine and she acknowledge for the first time, how close he was to her. Rather hastily, she stod up and perched the owl upon the sill, dusting off her hands, looking around the room while also moving away from him.
"Snape would hate to see this place go to the dogs. Will you see that the attic is cleaned?" she asked him, summoning some brooms and other cleaning devices from downstairs. "I think I should go back downstairs and see how the others are getting on."
On her way down she absent mindedly bumped into an order member who she remembered was called Tonks. She swiftly apologised and moved on after informaing her that Sirius was upstairs presumably cleaning the attic.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Marcella Riddle Graduated | Kaplinski Rival Sorting Hat Machine Nick shrugged his shoulders in a neutral manner and remained where he was, hands now in his trouser pockets.
He observed her for a few moments, scurrying around the kitchen fetching mugs and tea caddys. He smirked to himself as he imagined her in an apron with an infant grasping at her calf. Not being able to help himself, he gave off a little chuckle and only managed to save himself by turning it into a 'yes please' when she asked if he would like some tea.
Composing himself, he pilled up his collar and did up his suit jacket. He probably, or more than likely, looked quite pompous in the muggle clothing he were wearing but he liked it. More to the point, he thought he looked good in it.
Again, he couldn't help but smile and so when she turned, he held a hand to his mouth, pretending to cough. He knew she'd be suspicious anyways, but it was fun to wind her up. Goodness knows, she needed a joke.
