"Don't say that!" I stood up as well.
"I'm not saying it'll happen for sure, I'm just saying it's a possibility!" Will yelled.
"Well.." Stevie started, "Well, you shouldn't think that!" she snapped.
I looked from Stevie to Will, normally I was in Stevie's position and she was in mine. The small owl jumped out of my hands and back to the window which I had left open.
"Hey!" I called as it began to follow a flock of birds flying out of the Forbidden Forest, "Come back!" I shouted. I threw on my coat and ran out of the portrait hole.
"Where are you going?" Stevie called.
"To get my owl!" I answered back, running through the halls.

"But it's after hours!" I said as Stevie went to follow her.
"You're a prefect, stop me!" She grinned, mocking B. I rolled my eyes and pulled out my wand, Stevie looked at me.
"I'm not going to use it on you!" I laughed "Accio cloak" I said as the invisibilty cloak flew down from the girls dormetries and landed in my hands. I threw it over me and Stevie as we got down the hall, then grabbed her hand and chased up to Kira. "Slow down!" I said, also grabbed her hand and threw the cloak over her.
"You don't have to come" Kira said simply.
"Well, we have to protect you from the spiders, Kira" I grinned as she went somewhat pale.

I was going down a small path as I saw a small light in the distance. I followed it and soon after I saw many hooded figures standing in a circle. Two of them were inside it. I looked what they were doing but didn't understand.
"Birgit! You are just in time..." Dracos voice said.
"In time for what, My Lord?" I asked, still trying to figure out what was that they were doing.
"David here was just receving a mark from me. Mutch like the Dark Mark for Lord Voldemort was, exept it's now my initial M, for Malfoy... It works the same way. You'll have it on your arm and then you will always know when I need you." He explaned and called me inside the ring. "Would you like to get one too?" He asked grinning at me. One half of me was screaming for me to say no. That its defenetly a wrong thing to do. I looked Draco in his eyes and I felt mine going red again. The screaming voice inside me silenced and I heard myself saying yes with a very low voice.
"Very good! It was the right choice, I assure you!" He said. A small part of me was thinking tht he was useing me, but as I never had a father, it felt like he was my father...
"Give me yur right hand!" He said. I did so. He rolled up my sleeve and pointed his wand at it. He muttered something and I saw as if an M was being writte on my hand. At first I didn't feel anything but then, when it started bleeding a bit the pain was big. I grabbed it with my other hand and sat down, holding it tightly. I didn't allow myself to cry.
"The pain will go off soon!" Draco assured me as he sat next to me. And it did. It lasted for about a minute and then it was gone. I looked up at him, he was smiling at me. "Show me!" He said and I let go of the mark. "Very nice... He said looking at it. I'm sure you know that you're not supposed to show that to anyone. And I mean anyone!" He said. "Not even William!"
"Not planning to!" I assure him. "Just one thing though..." I asked "Why are you so nice to me?" I asked. I had to know. He looked away from me for a second and then back again.
"Because I like you!" He said smiling. I felt an urge to hug him but I didn't. All the death eaters were looking at us.

"Ah! Spider!" Kira screamed grabbing Stevie's arm and stamping quickly on the ground.
"That's my foot!" I said dully, pulling it away. I pulled the cloak off of us "No one should see us now" I said as we got into the forest. "Let's find your owl so we can go..." I felt in my pocket and took my wand out, Kira did it aswell. "Stay behind us Stevie"
"I'm not entirely hopeless Will!" Stevie barked at me.
"Didn't say you where" I snapped back. Kira caught my eye, it was odd for me and Stevie to be bickering. I started whistleing loudly,
"What are you doing?" Kira asked "The spiders do have ears you know!"
"I am calling your owl" I said simply. But nothing came. "Come on, let's head back to the castle, it's silly getting deeper into the forest."
"Not scared are you?" Kira asked slyly.
"Ah Spider!" I shouted.
"WHERE?" Kira screamed, jumping behind me.
"Not scared are you?" I asked just as slyly. "Come on, let's go back."
"What's that?" Stevie asked pointing into the far, far distance, there was a very tiny light.
"Come on, let's go back" I repeated louder, pulling at Stevie and Kira "It could be dangerous."

I put my hands into the pocket of my jeans. "It's freezing, lets go" I said wrapping my sweater that was wrapped around my shoulders, put it on. We all headed back to the castle, ":Um guys...where's B?" I asked as we reached the castle. "I dont know" Will sighed, "She'll be back though" He said looking at his watch. "I'm going to Bed" I said slipping off my sneakers and walking upstairs. I crawled into bed, pulled the cover's up around me, for some reason it was like i felt the presence of my dad surrounding me. I smiled, closing my eyes and drifted off to sleep.

The next morning i awoke and went to look into the mirror to wash my face, when i opened my eyes again after washing the soap off, my mouth dropped open.
"Guys Guys!" I called running down to the common room. "Look, its gone!" I said a smile appearing on my face. Will looked up from his book, "The..the scar.." Kira said, "It's gone" Will finished her sentence. "This isnt good." Proffesor Mcgongale said stepping in from the portrait hole.

I stood up, I was shaking in fear as Mc Gonagall strided across the room to Stevie. She put one hand on her back and used the other to brush the hair from her face as she stared at the forhead.
"Oh no" I said stepping back into Kira. Kira and I had gotten up early so I could help her finish the homework she was meant to do, I wasn't sure if B had come back last night, but right now I was more worried about Stevie.
"Oh dear, oh no" Mc Gonagall muttered, shaking her head.
"Professor" I said nervously "is there anything you can do?" She remained silent, just staring at her forhead.
"I am afraid not..." She looked at Stevie and her eyes went wide. Kira gasped and she grabbed my arm in shock.
"Wh-What?" Stevie asked confused.
"Your eyes" I said pointing at them with a shaky finger "Th-Their...n-not green. They changed to brown. What does this mean?"
"It means" Mc Gonagall said standing up "That Miss Potter is losing the magic in her." I stared at Stevie, holding onto Kira's arm tightly in fear.
"Woah" Stevie said looking around "Everything just vanished for a moment."
"No..no!" I said looking away "Don't" I suddenly looked up to Mc Gonagall "She can have my magic, do what Draco did to her on me! I don't care about magic! I'm not as important!" I hurried over to Stevie, but Mc Gonagall waved her hand at me to stop.
"Granger, you do not have to power to give her your magic" She said stiffly.
"We have to do somthing!" I said as Kira nodded and added,
"Somthing now before it's gone for good. She can't become a muggle! I need her!"
"We all need her!" I said nervously. "Please!"

I looked over to Will, "No, keep your magic, I'll uhh..umm'" I wasnt sure what i was going to do. "Stephanie, please come with me." Mcgongale said leading me out the portrait hole. WIll and Kira followed her, "Where are you taking her?" Will asked. "Come on Granger, Weasely, we are going to go have a talk in my office." Minerva said

I hadn't gone to the common room last night. I wasn't sleepy and I had walked around in the forest, looking at my arm and the M mark on it. I was somewhat proud of it. Draco had fixed my eyes again so they wouldn't be red and when I saw the sun, I thought it would be a good time to head back to the castle. When I made it to the common room I didn't see Will, Kira or Stevie there. I fixed my sleeve on my right hand and sat down in front of the fire, grinning slightly. Something made me feel very happy. As if something really good was happening.

I was scared, more scared then I was of spiders, even. I had no idea where B or my owl was, and Stevie was losing her magic bit by bit and it was only the first week of school.
We entered McGonagal's office and she flicked her wand as three chairs appeared. I sat down, as did Will and Stevie.
Professor McGonagal bit her lip and began to talk, "You all know that this isn't good... Why, school has just begun and, Stevie, you're losing..." she didn't finish the sentence but we all knew what she meant.
"What's going to happen?" Stevie asked.

The three of us watches as Mc Gonagall paced up and down the room, looking very nervous and shaking her head as more idea's flowed through.
"Stephanie, I am afraid it is only a matter of time before all the magic leaves your blood" She finally said, walking behind her desk.
"But Professor, I read that the magic can re-grow in her, as long as she has magic blood and she defenetly still has magic blood. What is-" I tried to continue but Mc Gonagall shook her head.
"I have been trying that, Ginny Weasley and the house elves have been putting magic in your food over the past few months when you where at Grimmuald Place and now Hogwarts. It was meant to help your blood regenerate magic. I am afraid that it has not been working" She turned and hurried up a set of stairs overlooking her desk.
I looked over at Stevie, her eyes were brown and she had no scar, she defenetly looked different. The oddest thing was her hair, which was normally sticked up at the back, did not do this anymore.
"Albus!" Mc Gonagall said loudly, which made me look back at her. She was standing next to a blank portrait, waiting.
"Dumbledore" Kira whispered leaning forwards.
And there he was.
Albus Dumbledore appeared in the portrait, looking just as old and ledgendary as I had remembered. His eyes fell on us.
"Potter, Weasley and Granger, up to trouble I presume?" He said, but it sounded more like a joke then a lecture.
"Worse, I am afraid. Stephanie Potter is losing her magic. You recall me telling you about Malfoy taking her powers?" Mc Gonagall said. Dumbledores eyes flashed over me for a second.
"I do."
"Well, I am afraid the magic is not regenerating. She is becoming a muggle before our very eyes". She said, her voice slightly high with nerves.

I glanced around, I felt as though i was sitting among stranger's more than friends. I knew the old man in the portrait very well, but his name was not coming to me. "Proffesor>?" Will tried to speak up agai. Dumbledore gave him a stern look. I looked around to Kira, she was kind of looking around the room with no look on her face. I gave her a slight smile, she didnt smile back. It was like she didnt even know who i was.

I sunk lower in my chair, I just wanted this to be over.
"Yes, it does not seem like a good position" Dumbledore said, thinking deeply.
"H-How long do you think she has?" I said quietly. He looked over at me and then said simply,
"It may be a matter of seconds or a matter of days." He turned for a moment, still in throught.
"Is there anything...anything at all we can do?" Mc Gonagall asked stiffly, also in deep thought.
"oh" Stevie said, touching her forhead and whinced. I rose from my seat and hurried to her side.
"You okay?" I whispered nervously. She opened her eyes, they flashed a deeper brown then back to the normal brown. "Is everything dissapearing?"

I gripped Stevie's hand, "It'll be okay," I told her, but even I wasn't sure. I didn't like sitting here, it made everything seem so lost, like there was no hope.
"Keeper her at Hogwarts, Minerva," Dumbledore said looking at the three of us.
"But Albus, what if she begins to not see Hogwarts? What then?" McGonagal urged.
"Hogwarts is a home to everyone, even some who cannot see it," Dumbledore continued, he seemed to have ignored what she last said.
"Now, if you'll excuse me, I've scheduled tea with the Fat Lady and I don't want to be late," he smiled and looked to Stevie. I stared at him, completely expressionless.
"What in the bloody hell.." I whispered to myself.
"If you, you know Stevie.. I may send you to your parents. Your step-parents.." McGonagal bit her lip, and began to pace some more.

"Please, dont, i do not want to go" I begged Mcgaongle, "i hate it there, they hate me, end of story" I muttered. I pulled my hair back into a pony tail. My watch beeped, i looked down at it, "Tommorow..tommorow's my birthday" I muttered quietly.

I stared as Stevie's watch beeped, "Don't be silly they don't hate you." McGonagal said stiffly then looked at the three of us, "I'll have a decision tomorrow.." she said, "In the mean time you are late for your classes. I'll explain to the Professor's later, now go," she finished and we left her office.
Will and I walked with Stevie to the Great Hall, "Do you really think.. they'd make you leave?" I asked her.
"Who knows," she answered with a sigh once we reached Gavin.
"Hey guys," he smiled.
"Hey," we all replied dully.

"Why so glum?" He asked, taking out some books for Stevie and handed them to her.
"I'm becoming a muggle" Stevie said just as dully as before. I looked around, having just noticed that the entire great hall was unusually empty.
"Come on Kira, the last thing we want is Snape on our back" I said as we waved goodbye to Stevie, who watched us go sadly. "Not that he isn't going to be on our back anyway."
"This really sucks, it's meant to be her birthday tomorrow!" Kira said angrily, as we walked through a wooden door that lead to a stair well.
"Well, it's not like she normally has a very exciting Birthday." I muttered as we rushed down the stairs and stopped at Snape's door. But neither of us opened it.
"Do we have to go in?" Kira asked desperetly.
"Atleast we don't have potions with Slytherin's this year, plus it is our last year of potions" I sighed, then opened the door. It was rather noisy inside as the Hufflepuffs and Gryffindors stood around potions adding ingredients.
"Granger! Weasley!" Snape barked "You are fifteen minutes late to class-"
"See Mc Gonagall" I said, not looking at him as I walked over to B. I didn't hear him reply, probably out of shock of me talking back to him.
"Where have you been?" B asked, throwing some plants in the mix.
"Funny, was about to ask you the same question!" I said sitting down next to her.

"Yeah, you were out all night," I looked to her worriedly.
"It's nothing.." she said and I looked to Will. B told us about the potion, the ingrediants, and what to do. I lazily tried to add something, Will grabbed my hand, "You don't add that yet," he sighed.
"Right," I answered and set the ingrediant back down. The current events seem to have distracted me.
Snape looked over, "Weasley, first you're late and then you're not paying attention?" he asked.
"Shut up," I muttered under my breath. Will and B gave me a sharp look, luckily Snape hadn't heard and walked off.

"Kira, you have to control your temper" I said, stirring the potion three times as I was meant to.
"Hey Kira, how was your summer?" Came a voice behind me, I jumped slightly as Micheal appeared behind us.
"Oh, hi" Kira said looking up at him.
"Oh Granger, you don't stir it three times, you stir is six times, it's just that you have to go clockwise and then anti-clockwise" He said watching me closely.
"Thanks" I muttered sarcastically, accidenly throwing in the Burnswood leaves, which made the potion go red.
"William, you have to control your temper" B mocked grinning at me.
"I'll show my temper!" I muttered to B out of the side of my mouth. "Are you done distracting us?" I said sharply to Micheal, who looked quiet abashed.

I looked around the Great Hall distractedy, I wasnt paying attention, I was just staring up at the ceiling, it looked as though it was going to rain.
"Stevie, whats the answer to number four?" Gavin asked me.
"Huh? What did you say?" I asked looking down at the book.
"You're not listening. Please, sweetheat, try to pay attention." Gavin said taking my hand.
"This is important. If for some reason you have to go to Mu-" He started.
"I'm not going to any stupid Muggle school!" I snapped and ran out of the great hall, heading towards Snape's classroom.

"What do you exactly think you're doing?" Snape asked as his lip curled when i opened his door. I took my ususal seat next to Will. Will looked over and his jaw dropped,
"What are you doing?" He whispered.
"I'm in class, what does it look like I'm doing?" I said with a smile.
Will just shook his head,
"You should'nt be doing this you know, If Mcgo-"
"If Mcgonagle finds out she can-" I was about to say something impolite when Snape looked at me. "You have no ability's to create a potion, You are not to be in this classroom."

"The class is almost over anyway, you can at least let her sit down," I glared at Snape.
"Control you temper.." Will said again in a whisper.
"Five points from Gryffindor," Snape smiled as Michael just stood there looking confused as to what was going on.
I saw Gavin at the door of the room, and shrugged sitting back down.

"Stevie, it's not safe for you to sit here!" I hissed at her "If the potion gets on you, you will be in the hospital for weeks because you don't have magic blood and you can't heal yourself"
"I'm not a muggle" Stevie snapped.
"I know that!" I said back at her. The bell chimed loudly over us. Stevie looked up at Gavin at the door.
"I don't wanna go back!"
"Well, you have to" I said promptly.

I looked over at Gavin, just then Jason accidently spilt his potion everywhere and including on me. "ahh!" I screamed as purple goo hit my arms. "Granger, take her to the hospital wing, As usual she doens't follow directions." Snape growled. Gavin ran into the room, "I'll take her, you stay here" He told Will. "No, let me come!" He said in a bit of a yell. "Fine" Gavin said as the three of us went up to the hospital wing.

"Oh i can take this off easilly." Madam Pomprhy said getting out her wand.
"No, you cant!" Gavin said pushing her wand away.
"Why?" Madam Pomphry asked curtly.
"She has no magic blood" Will said as she dropped her wand.

I waved good bye to Michael as B and I walked up to the Hospital Wing after class. We found Stevie sitting on a bed with Will and Gavin by her.
"What's going on?" I asked as Madam Pomfrey tried to scrub the goo off Stevie with a towel, "Why isn't she using magic?" I asked.

"I can't!" Pomfrey said quickly "Now, what happened?"
"Longbottom spilt some anti-hippocupps potion on her" I said quickly "Although, he had added too much Bull grass and it had turned purple" I muttered.
"Well, I am sure I can fix it without her magic blood" She said, looking through some draws full of bottles.
