I looked a bit odd, as I was wearig jeans an an Aeropostal sweater, not in my uniform. A angry looking proffesor eyed me and smirked . I just looked away. "Oh well, if he doesnt like it, he'll get over it" i said to myself.

"Alright" I said smiling proudly as B sat beside me. "How about you?"
"Great" B replied "Except this one question, but turns out I was right anyway! How did-" B turned to Kira.
"Don't ask" I whispered. Suddenly the portrait swung open and Rachel and Jason walked in. "How was it?"
"Awful" Jason muttered "I did the wrong potion, burnt it, spilt it on the professor and then I cracked the couldren". I looked to Kira as she appeared slightly more happy in hearing this.
"How about you?" I said to Rachel.
"Good" She smiled, she was the smartest girl in our year, I knew she would have done better then she was letting on.

I came into the Common Room and saw the gang, "hey guys" I said as I smiled at Will. I noticed Rachel, she had finished earlier than all the rest of us. I glared at her and looked to B and Kira. "So how do you think you guys did?>" I asked. "Ehh...Ok i guess." Kira said flipping a piece of hair behind her ear.

"I did really good!" I said proudly. "I think I even have a chance of an O, but we'll find out how we did in August or so." I said and leaned into the chair more. The next thing was written DADA and I wasn't really afraid of it. Only History made me nervous a bit and it was in two days. "We don't have any lesson coming now right?" I asked, looking at them "No..." Jason said absentmindedly. I nodded and took out the book on History of Magic and started reading it.

We spent the remaining of the morning just discussing the potions partical and quizing each other on Defense against the dark arts.
"Okay Rach" I said flicking to another page "How do you destory a Hinkypunk?"
"Oh, that ones easy" She laughed "Concentrate a lumos spell on them till they become corperal and then a simple attack spell, like flipendo, will vanish them!"
"You're really good" I said honestly "You could maybe be an auror!"
"Thanks" Rachel grinned "Okay, your turn, how would you disarm a Gunksmith?" I thought for a few moments.
"Well, they use wooden shields right? I guess a corpus retractum spell could give you the sheild" I explained finally.
"You're right again!" Rachel burst out hugging me.
"I think I'm going to be sick" Kira muttered looking between us.
"Cheer up" I said looking at my watch "We should head down now guys"

ooc: Sorry I haven't been on for ages, Will has managed to catch me up on everything!

I walked up the stone stairs with Mitchell and we entered the Enterance Hall, unlike thismorning it wasn't too crouded. As we walked over to the Great Hall we could see that all the desks where lined up and some people where already sitting down. At the front of the hall was a massive table with a pile of scrolls on them. On one of the smaller tables read a card saying:
'Goyle, Harriet'
I figured we were in alphabetical order so I sat down and waited for the test to start.

Stevie, Kira, Birgit, Jason, Sean, Rachel and I all walked into the crouded Great Hall and looked around for our seats. As Birgit and I headed towards the front I noticed the witch who had tested me on potions was one of the moderators and was watching around with a stern look.
"You where warn, Nott!" Proffessor Snape was suddenly heard shouting at the back of the hall, I turned to see him talking to a Slytherin with ink on his face.
"Must have brought in a cheating quill, it blew up, Hogwarts has the best anti-cheating spells. Good luck" I wished to Birgit as I sat down. I relised I was next to Harriet.
"Don't you copy off me, mudblood" She hissed. I rolled my eyes, but didn't look at her.
"If I wanted to get a 'T', then I could do it with out your help" I muttered.
"Silence!" Snape shouted, the great hall doors slamming behind him as he hurried to the front. "Right, there all yours" He said to a black witch.
"Thank you Severus, the Ordinary Wizarding Level written Defense against the Dark arts exam will now start. You have three hours to answer a multiple choice, short answer and essay section, if you need to use the bathroom then you will be escorted by a moderator. Any distubrances will not be tolerated. You may now begin" She said, the parchments flew high from the table and landed on our desks. My name was already printed at the top so I looked to the first question.

I glanced over some of the questioins "How did Marble Milvert destroy the ancient werewolf in 1876?" "Good God..." I siad muttering to myself. I chewed on the end of my pencil, then started to write. I looked up, Will was already done, I looked down, I still had an essay to write, I sighed and begin to write it.

I quickly re-read over all the answers that I had filled out to double check that I hadn't forgotten anything or misspelt a word.
What other ways, beside the patronus charm, is there to repel dementors?
I read the question again, I was pretty sure that any other charms would only hold the dementor off for a few seconds so that is what I wrote. However a part of me felt that it was a trick question.
"Twenty minutes" Said the black witch at the front of the room, I looked up to the giant clock behind her, then back down to my work.

I reread my test answers. I was bretty sure I had answered them all correctly. And my essay? I had wrote it in a tiny handwriteing so everything would fit. Both of the two pages came full. I looked at the moderators at the front of the class and at the clock. We had 5 more mintues. I glanced over at Will, giving him a smile, and back at my test, checking the answers once more.

"Right, quills down everyone." the Black witch announced at the conclusion of the three hours. I placed my quill down and piled my scrolls together neatly on the table. But it was pointless as seconds later they automatically rolled up and soared into the sky, hundreds of them landing in even piles on the table under our houses. "Thank you for your co-operation, Severus?" She asked.
"Yes" He said standing up, the moderators all filing to the front of the room "Leave through the back doors you have the remainder of the day off. Your Headmistree wishes for me to remind you Muggle study students have their written exam tomorrow morning in the muggle study room, while Divination students will have their practical here in the Great Hall. If neither of this applies to you, you will have the morning off". He turned to listen to the other moderators talking among themselves.
I stood up and walked over to B's desk as she packed up her things.
"Thank goodness that's over" I grinned "I'm pretty confident with that one. Let's go see the others outside".

I groaned as i watched my test fly off, "Well I failed that one" I said and looked over to Will. I fixed my sweatshirt, and straightned my jeans as I walked over to Will. "hey" I said. "So no one has yelled at you for not wearing your uniforms yet?" Rachel asked coming up behind me. "It's not of your buisness, what I wear, thankyou" I said and went towards the library.

I watched as my test flew off and put away my quill, grinning a bit as I had written the essay part in larger hand writing than usual so it might looks as though I'd done more work and filled more space, although I hadn't.
I watched as Stevie walked away from Rachel past Will and B and out the door.
I shrugged and followed her out, "Stevie! Wait up!"

"What's wrong with her?" Rachel asked in a stern voice. I put one arm around her waist and another around B's shoulder and pulled all of us outside.
"Don't worry, she's just..." I faded my voice on purpose in the noise of all the other students talking. We reached the stairs and began to head back up to the common room. "Great, I got a night full of muggle study revision to look forward too!"
"Better then Divination" Rachel complained "I can't see anything in that crystal ball, it's a waste of time". I smiled at her,
"That's why I dropped it!" I explained. "Apparently I didn't have a clear enough inner eye". We all laughed as we got to the portrait, which swung open as some first years exited to hurry to their classes, we had the rest of the day off to study.

I groaned as Kira came running up beside me,
"Stevie, Wait up!" I looked at her as she walked by. There was silence for a moment. "Do you ever get the feeling someone's watching?" I asked her as I looked around.
"Why?" She asked.
"I need to tell you something, " I pulled her near a hall.
"I think Rachel's a spy......"

I laughed, "That's a good one!"
Then I looked back to her straight in the eyes, she wasn't laughing, "Wait, you're serious?" I looked at her and kept my voice to a whisper as Stevie put a finger up to her mouth and looked around the hall again.
"What gives you that idea - I mean maybe but..." I looked at her.
"I'll explain in the library, come on," she walked off. I smiled before follwoing her she sounded like her dad.

I sat on one of the couch's futherest from the fire where a group of fourth years where chatting loudly. I had my legs crossed with Kneazel resting on my lap and a book full of notes in my hands.
"I don't think Stephanie likes me" said a thick american accent, I looked up to see Rachel was sitting next to me.
"Don't be silly" I said vaugley "ofcoarse she likes you".
"Will!" said a nervous voice, I turned again to see Jason with a white face "I need help!" He gasped showing me his book that had been torn apart. "It was Harriet and her gang! Now I have no notes!".
"Don't worry" I said quickly moving down "Here, we can share!" I placed out my first semester book for him to read. "Now, the Olympic games originated as a global muggle event for union to be--"
"Will" Rachel said again. "She doesn't like me!"
"Rachel" I replied sternly "I have to learn this muggle stuff for tomorrow, okay? If Stevie doesn't like you then don't worry, I love you so you don't have to worry" She looked at me with slightly wide eyes.
"What?" She asked "You...love me?" She got up and looked quiet scared, then walked up to the girls dorms.
"Opps" I muttered.

I walked back from the girls bathroom and when I stepped into the Gryffindor Common room I saw Rachel going to the girls dorm and Will sitting on the floor, looking quite odd. "What happened?" I asked as I sat next to him and Jason, who was reading one of his books.

((Gah! Short, Sorry!))

Irratated, I looked to the librian who seemed to be spying on us. "Rachel has been acting quite odd lately, and the other night I saw her in her room talking with someone, a man...someone with a deep voice..it gave me goose bumps." I said a bit frightened. "Stevie how do you know it wasnt her father..?

"He didn't sound American, or anything," she answered and I shrugged. I had to agree though... she was acting kind of odd the past days.
"You know, the other day I saw her looking through her room for something," I looked to her.
"Like what?" she asked.
"I dunno," I shrugged, "Well... time to study up on divination," I said raising my eyebrows, we both got up and checked out some books then headed up to the Common Room.

"What is it?" B asked looking to Jason as I wasn't going to answer.
"He told her he loved her" Jason said, looking over at me.
"Who? Rachel?" B gasped staring at me.
"Yeah" I said finally, nodding my head.
"You love her?" She asked again. I looked down at my book,
"Gee, I don't know! Why does this have to be a big deal?" I asked her back.

"Make a big deal of what?" I asked as Stevie and I walked through the Portrait Hole.
"Nothing," Will said, he seemed like he didn't want to talk about it. I shrugged and looked towards B then back to Will.
"Studying that muggle stuff?" I asked and took a seat next to Jason who was looking through a Divination book.

"Yeah" I nodded, flicking open a page on the nineteenth centuary history.
"Ewl!" Stevie said looking at the picture "He's ugly!"
"That would be Otta Von Bismark, he was leader of Germany before the arrival of the Weimer Period which was so poorly built that it introduced Germany to it's fascist state of the national--" I stopped as Kira was muttering.
"Woah, woah, woah" She laughed "We don't need or want to know that! This is a big enough sleeping pill" She indicated the divination book in her left hand. I laughed aswell.
"Your going to be crystal gazing arn't you?" I asked "Can't you just make it up?"

I looked at the stairs, Rachel was standing at the top of them, when she made eye contact with me, she raced up to the girls dorms. "Somethings going on" I said and checked my watch, I had just enough time to figure it out before my next class. I raced up the stairs and walked into the girls dorms....

I sighed, looking at Will and Kira, then at Stevie. I didn't want to read any more, my head was too full of everything that had to do with the muggle world. "I need a break!" announced getting up. "I'll go see if I can find Alex. Wich means I have to go to the Slytherin common room and most probably meet Harriet, so, wish me luck!" I said grinning a bit and turned to leave. "See you later!" I heard Will call after me as I stepped out of the common room.
I walked towards the Slytherin common room and met a few of them. They all gave me discusted looks. Probably thinking how I had dared to even show myself near their common. And there she was, Harriet, that is. She was bugging one first year student with Sam and Goyle and her other gang members. I lowered my eyebrows, and stopped a few feet from them, crossing my hands on my chest.
"Why won't you pick on someone your own sise?" I asked, looking at them evilly.
"Why? Care to vouleteer(sp)?" She asked with a grin and turned to me.
"Let me guess, you're here to find you mudblood-loveing boyfriend?" She asked and stepped closer to mem crossing her hands on her chest aswell.
"As the matter of fact, yes!" I said with a motionless face, but still glaring at her evilly.
"Then I must break it to you that you just missed him. He just walked away from here with his real girlfriend!" She said, smirking very widely. My selfcontroll dissapeared with that. I pushed her to the wall behind her very hard and held my hand on her throught.
"Dare to speek of him one more time, and I'll kill you without useing my wand!" I said hissing extreamly evilly. I heard the other Slytherins gasping behind my, but I didn't mind them. I was too angry at the moment. I kept glaring into Harriets eyes. Her face was going blue from not getting the air. Suddenly I heard a voice from behind me.
"Birgit?!" It called. It was Alex. Then I realised what I was doing. I let go of Harriet, who smoothly sat down. I stepped away from her and the Slytherins ran to her. Some saying that they'll tell o me. I glanced towards Alex for a second. My expression was vary pale, he was extramly suprised. I took another step away from the Slytherins and ran. I headed outside the castle and sat down behind a rock near the lake. I was soon joined by Alex.
"Birgit? Whats wrong? You know you can tell me! I'm worried about you! You're acting very-very odd lately..." He said, worriedly and sat opposite of me. My rage went down. Even though he was a Slytherin, he was too good for me! I don't deserce him. I felt a tear coming down my cheek.
"Alex..." I started. He looked at me waiting for the rest. I looked him back, to his eyes. He took my hand, holding it gently. I had to tell him. Everything. I couldn't lie. So I did. I told him everything, starting with Grimmuald Place and with the box. He just sat there listening with his eyes wide.

When I finished, I was crying. He came closer and grabbed me into a hug. I put my hands around him and cried into his shoulder. "Oh Birgit... Now I understand everything" He said sadly. "But what are you going to do? With him still being in you and everything?" He asked carefully, not trying to make me feel more awful. "I don't know!" I squeaked. "McGonagall said she'd think of something." I said. He didn't say anything next. We just sat there in silence.
