"Checkmate!" I grinned, then stuffed away the set back into my bag as Will, Hermione and Krum walked in.
"How was the honey moon?" I raised my eyebrows, Hermione looked right past me to B and sat down next to her on the bed and Krum left my question un-answered. I stood up, and let him sit down in the chair next to B's bed. He smiled and nodded a thank you.

Did you give the time turner back?" Stevie asked me in a whispered voice as the others continued to talk.
"Yeah" I lied.
"What did she say?" Kira added.
"Who?"
"Mc Gonagall!" They said together.
"Don't worry" I said, "I'll be right back".
I hurried down the stairs and up to the Fat Lady portrait, I said the password, ran inside and up the stairs to my dormetry. I went over to my bed and unlocked the trunk at the end of my bed.
"What you up to?" Sean Figg said from the other side of the room.
"Nothing" I muttered pulling the time turner from my pocket and stuffed it into the end of my sneakers, I threw my jacket over it and locked the trunk again. I hurried down the stairs then returned to the hospital wing, everyone was laughing over something.
"Where'd ya go?" Kira said loudly as I walked in.
"Oh, I went to get a book for B that I forgot!" I said.
"You forgot it again, William" my mother said lightly.
"Oh! Whoops!" I laughed, taking a seat.

I sighed as all three of us sat in silence, "B I'm bored" "How do you think I feel??" She asked a bit annoyed. "Whatever" I said and took a book out of my bag. Just then Hermione walked into the hospital wing, I didnt move my eyes just kept reading, I wasnt going to overreact, after all, I wasnt exactly fond of Hermione

"Is your bag here Will?" I asked, looking over at him.
"What? Oh, yeah..." He said, looking down under my bed. His, Kiras and Stevies bag were all there from since they last visited me.
"Give me one of yours then!" I suggested, smileing a bit. Will leaned over and gave me the History of Magic book. It wasn't what I was waiting for, but it was the best choise anyway, as I didn't know much about the subject.

"So you're ok now?" Hermione asked after some time.
"Yeah, I'm fine!" I said smiling to her. Krum was smileing too. For some readon, he didn't seem so... well, how he seemed before, although I couldn't say that I liked him better then Ron. Sighing, they both got up.
"Well, we'll be going now. I have to go to St. Mungos soon and Krum has a meeting in a few hours. I'll see you!" Hermione said smiing and waved, dissapeareing out the door, followed by Krum.

I watched Hermione and Krum leave, and sighed. I snatched a Quidditch book from my bag and placed it in front of a thicker Charms book, to make it look as though I was studying. I sat back on the bed next to B's and caught eyes with Stevie for a moment, after she turned back from watching Krum and Hermione depart.
She didn't seem to happy about the two being here.
"Feet off, Miss Weasley!" I heard Madame Pomfrey's voice as she passed by and looked back to Stevie, grinning this time.
"When do you think you'll be out?" Will asked B.

B just shrugged dully and started flicking through the book.
"Well" I said, looking around "We have our O.W.L's starting in two days! Do you think you will be out by then?"
"Hope not" B laughed.
"Well, I would if I were you!" I said "Other wise you have to do the summer exams and that means that they will mark you harder!"

There was no need for anyone to say anything. I immedietly wanted to get out of here. "Madame Pomfrey? When can I get out?" I called to her as she passed me. "Later this evening." She said back. "There. No harder markings!" I said, grinning a bit and lookd back to my book.

I smiled at Will, "Oh Well, I'm not exactly fond of Krum." I said and frowned. I looked at Will, I still wanted to talk to him about the time turner. I didnt dare mention anything as he kept reading. "So how long untill exams?"

"Two days" I repeated, not looking up from the book. "First up is our practical potions, then our written Defense against the dark arts. Atleast we know you will score well in the practical DADA, that's on the Wednesday I think"
"Did you memorise the timetable?" Kira said, trying not to laugh.
"I'm going back to the common room" I said standing up and grabbing my bag "It's a lot more quiet, I'll see you this afternoon B"

I returned to the common room and buried myself behind a pile of books at a table. I remained sitting there, reading, until a noise disruppted me.
"Can you believe Snape didn't catch us?" Said a third year walking in with two friends.
"That was so close!" said another one of them, laughing.
"He is such a git" said the third one. They all laughed loudly.
"SHUT UP!" I shouted standing up quickly, they all stared at me. "Some of us are trying to study! Either you be quiet or I will give you all detentions!" They all fell quiet as I sat back down. "What?" I asked impatiently to Sean who was staring at me.
"Calm down Granger" He muttered "Just cause you feel overworked!"
"I don't feel overworked!" I snapped at him, holding a book up.

Physco..."Sean muttered as he turned away. I glanced at B on the bed, "So....." I said a bit bored. "Whats your problem Tiffany, get over it!" I heard a girl yell to her friend as she walked past the hallway. "Wow" Kira said looking at them and smiling. "Were we ever like that?" She asked. I grinned but didnt say anything.

The rest of the afternoon seemed to come quicker then I expected, and before I knew it, it was almost time for B to return to Gryffindor tower. I looked at the remaining pages of the book,
"I'm only half way through!" I complained angrily "How long have I been studying?"
"Three hours" Sean sighed, almost falling asleep on the table as he played wizard chess with Jason, who didn't seem to be going very well.
"Dam! If only I had more time!" I paused and looked at them. They both looked very worried for my sanity. I turned and ran up stairs, rummaged through my trunk and pulled the time turner from inside my shoe. I held the book under my arm and turned the hour glass back three times.
It suddenly began to spin by itself and everything around me blurred. When it stopped I noticed that the sun was still up high and no longer setting. I shoved it back in my open trunk and ran downstairs. I could see myself sitting behind the pile of books with Sean. I threw my hood from my jumped over my head and hurried out and down to the library.

When I had finished the book I ran back to the fat lady portrait and peered inside, I could see myself where I was before.
"Three hours" Sean sighed, he was playing chess with Jason again, this was a good sign that I hadn't messed with time too much.
"Dam! If only I had more time!" I suddenly ran up the stairs. Sean and Jason jumped as I walked in and sat back down.
"Where did you--? Weren't you just--?" They both gasped looking back and forth.
"Maybe I'm not the only one being overworked" I laughed.

"Finally!" I said as I walked towards the Gryffindor common room. I stepped in and found Will sitting on a chair, Sean and Jason looking rather confused about something. "Hey, Will! Whats up? Whats wrong with them?" I asked, sitting down nest to him and placeing his Charms book onto the table infront of us. I think I know all about Charms now!" I said smiling proudly. "What were you learning?" I asked again and looked at the book that was on his lap.

"Transfiguration," Will replied.
I raised my eyebrows at him, he looked as though he was up to something. I shrugged it off and walked over and sat down across from B and Will next to Jason and Sean Figg.
"What are you studying?" Sean asked me as I pulled out a book.
"Quidditch," I grinned with a laugh.

I looked up at Kira and she seemed to stop laughing instantly. She went to put the quidditch magazine away,
"It's okay, Kira" I laughed "You can read it if you want!". It was at this point that the common room had gone silent.
"Bloody hell" Sean gasped "Someone get him to Pomfrey, he's loosing it!" I laughed aswell.
"I'm just feeling a little on the wild side" I explained "That isn't criminal for me to relax once in a while is it?" The story didn't seem to work as all four of them stared at me closely.
"Fine" I sighed, rolling my eyes "Kira put away that stupid magazine and start studying something serious!" We all laughed.
"Thats the Will we all love" B grinned hugging me.

I laughed, then grinned towards Will and B, and grabbed a DADA book that was lying on the table next to Will.
I flipped through it, and looked at the five of them, "We never finished with the patronus' lessons did we?"
"Got close - then Snape came in," Jason answered, he sounded more frightened than he sounded angry.

"Well, I don't think I have to learn DADA anymore... Snape wouldn't let me..." I said and laughed. "But Transfiguration? Can I take your book Will? Or are you still useing it?" I asked, pointing to the book on his knees.
"You can take it, I just finished it!" He answered. "I'll take the History of Magic book..." He said and reached for the book from the table. I took the Transfiguration book and started reading it in silence.

We sat complete silence for the next hour and a half, the sun had set and most of the students where arriving back from dinner and playing games.
"Where's Stevie?" I asked, placing my book down and yawning.
"Probably in the library" Kira said dully.
Suddenly the potrait swung open and Rachel stormed in, looking simply furious. I sat up in my seat as she walked over.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing" She said in a low voice "I've just...overload with work I suppose. I'm heading to bed, I need a break" She turned and walked off upstairs.
"Woah, looks like she isn't perfect" Sean laughed, Kira did aswell.
"I'm heading too bed aswell, we have our first exam tomorrow. I just hope Stevie studied aswell," I closed the book, threw an arm lazily around B to say 'goodnight', then headed up the stairs to the common room.
I laid down on my bed after getting changed and closed my eyes, my head was filled with complicated potions. I tried to clear it before falling asleep finally.

"I'm heading off too," I rubbed my eyes and stuffed some books lazily into my bag.
"Night," I said to the three of them and flung my bag over my shoulder.
"I'll be up in a sec.," B called, and I smiled to her, then headed up the stairs. I walked past Rachel on the way to my bed and saw her hectically looking through some droors and throwing clothes and jewelery.
"Ahem.." I coughed and she turned around, and looked at me, "Are you.. feeling okay?" I looked to her.
"Fine.. just, just looking for something," she answered.
"Oh, alright then..." I stared, what is up with everyone tonight? I thought to myself, then walked away from her and went up to bed.

I woke up the next morning with a heavy feeling on the foot of my bed, I sat up to see Neazel had managed to scruy through my trunk and was playing with the time turner. I looked around to make sure no one had seen, then grabbed it from him and threw it in the bottom of my trunk and locked it.
"You could get me in serious trouble" I said, patting him. As I got dressed into my uniform Sean and Jason woke up. "Morning" I smiled, combing my hair back.
"Oh right, exams!" Jason muttered nervously.
"You'll do fine, it's practical potions first up" I said grinning. "Don't be late," I said, heading out the door. I walked down into the common room, Stevie was asleep in the chair infront of the fire, a potions guide on her lap. I walked over and kneeled down, nose to nose. "Last minute studying?"
"AH!" Stevie shouted waking up. "You scared me, Will!" I looked her up and down, she hadn't gotten changed and her uniform was crinkled up.
"Come on, we should head downstairs now" I told her "Kira and B may already be down there".

I was sitting by the wall, reading my potions notes through for the last time as Will and Stevie came up to me and Kira, who was sitting next to me. "Hey!" I said looking up at them. "He'll be calling us in soon. They're takeing 10 by time." I explaned as Will sat next to me. "Do I have to let the Nelva potion boil 10 minutes, then add the warts and boil it for another 15 minutes, or first 15 minutes and then 10 minutes?" I asked.

"Ten, then the fifteen" I said smiling at her, I looked around to see that most of the students where still studying even before they went in. Some people looked rather pale, while others where banking off their friends for answers.
A small, but elderly, wizard stepped out with his glasses on the tip of his nose and a scroll in his hand. Mc Gonagall was standing next to him and raised her hands to get silence from us.
"Ordinary Wizard Level examination for practical potions will now begin" Said the wizard, some people jump slightly. "Right, could the following come forwards. Acott, David. Bath, Sarah. Black, Birgit. Cooter, Jack. Crabbe, Mitchell. Daneils, Amanda. Ellens, Lara. Figg, Sean. Goyle, Harriet. Granger, William." I smiled to B as she closed her book.
"Good luck" Kira smiled, Stevie nodded. I grabbed Birgit's wrist and pushed ourselves to the start of the line. We stepped in to see the tables had vanished and potion desk where set up around the hall.

Birgit and I choose to go near each other so we could see how the other was going, I had a witch with a long nose and frizzy black hair.
"Hello" She smiled "Name?"
"William Granger, Gryffindor" I replied.
"Right" She said, writing it down "Now, could you please start off by showing me the correct way of starting a potion?"
"Certaintly" I said "Firstly you ensure the couldren is securly fastened to the overhang to keep it sturdy, check that the fire is at the correct temperiture" I tapped my wand on it "And then be sure to have all needed ingredients".
"Excellent" She said, ticking some boxes. "Now, I need you to create a cure to uncommon posions potion, can you do that?"
"Sure" I grinned, picking up the ingredients. I began to add the Gillywater, mixed in with the grass clippings, stirred it three times clockwise, threw in a collection of willow bark, left to boil for two minutes while I chopped the wolf's fur, added that and stirred anti clockwise four times, before adding the Algie on top. I dipped in my vile and placed it on the table.
"Very good, very good" She said, ticking futher boxes "I am very impressed". I smiled proudly. "Right, now you can leave via the north door" She said, pointing up to the teacher's desk "You are to return to your common room and not speak to any one who hasn't done the exam, understand?" I nodded, as I went to leave I turned quickly to see how B was handling it.

Will just walked out of the room when the wizard stood up and cleared his throat, "We can take a few more of you into the next room for Ordinary Wizard Level for practical potions. Potter, Stephanie. Longbottom, Jason. Weasley, Kira. Corner, Michael. And Evans, Steven." he finished and Stevie and I packed up our things and headed into the room.
I took a seat across from a tall wizard with dark brown hair and an expressionless face. I nodded and smiled nervously, then took a glance towards Stevie to see how she was doing.
"Name," he said dully.
"Kira Weasley.." I stared.
"Alright then, tell me, what are the ingrediants for the veritaserum potion?" he asked.
"Oh, the truth one! Right, uh... flobberworms, aconite, black beatle eyes...?" I racked my mind.
"...Interesting.." He raised an eyebrow and looked at me, quite amused, "Care to demonstrate how to make a shrinking potion?"
"Oh... Of course not," I lied. I looked at the ingrediants in front of me and bit my lip, as I picked up a vile of some red-ish looking thing and threw in some dead caterpillars and some daisy roots.
It suddenly began bubbling wildly and I looked to the man who widened his eyes.
"Not meant to bubble is it?" I laughed nervously again. I looked to Michael who glanced from me to the woman was testing him, he had his hand moving in a circle under his desk.
"Stir! Right!" I said to myself and began stirring, the bubbling went down, but I had a feeling I still hadn't done very good.
"That will be enough," he raised his eyebrows, "Very interesting..." he commented again and I nodded, leaving the room quickly.

I was sitting the chair closest to the fire, which was out, the common room was empty as I was the only Gryffindor who had finished the exam and didn't have a class. Suddenly the portrait swung open and Kira walked in.
"How was it?" I said quickly standing up "I had to make the uncommon potions antidote! Can you believe it? I had just read that a few days ago, talk about luck". Kira stared at me for a moment, no expression on her face as she sat down. "Well?" I said, almost jumping up and down in my seat "How was it?"
"Well, I was lucky enough to have Mr Personality test me" Kira said sarcastically.
"I think their nice" I said truthfully "What did you get?"
"Shrinking potion" Kira sighed. She told me what happened.
"You added Daisy root? Well ofcoarse it bubbled, that's organic! Mixing it with dead cattapillar will..." I noticed she didn't seem to impressed by what I was saying. "Sorry...I'm sure you will go better thisafternoon, it's Defense against the dark arts written".

I finished my potion without my tester saying anything. He just eyed my every move closely and then pointed to the door expressionless. I shrugged, placed the little bottle with my potion infront of him and headed to the door. I didn't go to the common room, but to the library instead. As he hadn't told me anything, I wasn't sure how I had done. I had a feeling I did well, but there was one question I had answered without knowing the correct answer. I looked through the potions book in the library and found that I had answered correctly. "Yess..." I said to myself, feeling like jumping happily. I had been waiting for it to be more difficult, but that was easy.
I placed the book down and headed to the Gryffindor common room now. When I stepped in, I found Kira and Will already sitting by the fireplace. "How did you do?" I asked, popping down opposite of them.
