Melinda nodded her head, trying to smile. "...I will leave the Jacques Residence as soon as I turn eighteen...it's a deal. And Mirelda better not go against my will or I will do it my way, escaping." She said shrugging her shoulders.

"Lissa and Barack. Those two...I haven't had any vision of them since...that day. I hope Dante didn't get hold of them or at least I want to know why they disappeared like that." She said, still confused about that situation.

She smiled, then started to kiss him longer. "...we never get to end a conversation, actually." Mel said, smiling wide though knowing that soon they'd be having that long and awaited chat.

"Well if you need a place to escape to. You are welcome to come here." Chris said to Mel and smiled.

"I'm sure they are fine. They were worried about you. I tryed to tell them where you were but the left before I had a chance. And I don't know Barack was saying about knowing something about your father." He said trying to remember what he was said.

Chris kissed her back. "That's true we almost never finish our conversations." He said and continued to kiss her.

"...oh, why thank you. I shall consider living with the most amazing family I've ever met." Melinda said with a wide smile. And for that, she kissed him once again.

"My father, but he's...dead." She said, now really confused. Her head was twisting a bit, she just couldn't take any more of those news for a while. "...can we stop talking about them, for a while...I just need to clear everything up before even thinking about them." She suggested and smiled to Chris to let go of the subject.

Melinda stoped for a bit. She bit her lip, she was happy to be with Chris. Her head layed on a pillow nearby Chris, she smiled at him.

"The most amazing family? Now I wouldn't say that. Because we really aren't." Chris said smiling just as wide back to her. He felt her lips on his again, and kissed her back.

"I know that's why I thought it was weird." He told Melinda. But then heard she wanted to drop the subject. He nodded. "Alright." He said.

Chris stopped when Mel stopped. He saw her rest her on the pillow. He did the same. But as he did so he felt a pain shoot up from his stomch. His hand moved to it clutching it. "Ow." He said and looked at Melinda. "Don't worry." He told her knewing she would probably freak out.

"For me, you are. You are the family I have wished to have ever since I was in the orphanage." Melinda explained with a smile then went back to kiss him.

"...thanks." She whispered and took his hand. But then the pain came back to Chris. "...are you alright, do you need water, anything...?" She said, her normal worrying expression and actions.

"Are we really?" Chris asked. "I mean because we are just a normal family nothing very special." He told Melinda, and felt her yet again kissing him. But like he minded at all. He kissed her back, but like he never did.

"No Mel it's alright." Chris said and took her hand. "I just moved wrong. I hit the bruise." He told her. "Thank you aways." He said and smiled.

"That's the reason...you are a normal wizard family. Your parents are just amazing, your brother is so sweet...in my case, my parents are dead and I live with a witch, literally...and my siblings, which are three beside from me...are missing around this infinite world." She said, taking a deep breath. "...I want to have this normal family." She said, leaning to kiss him back again, trying not to think of her past nor her present life. Just hoping to be with Chris for the rest of the day before he went back to school.

"Okay...but you'll tell me when you need anything, deal?" She asked, with a wide smile, though worried.

"Well yeah my parents are actaully amazing. Well Nick is...yeah sometimes sweet and sometime annyoing just like anyother little brother." Chris said and laughed slightly. "Yeah I can see why you want a normal family a normal life actaully." He said. Then kissed her back, and after awhile stopped and put his forehead on her's. "I love you Melinda." He told her.

"Yes I will let you know when I need something I promise." He said and smiled wide back to her. He then looked around the room and noticed also on his night-stand was the cologne Chalice gave him. Then next to that was a couple of papers folded. He reached his arm over and grabbed it, barely moving in the process. He opened it and saw the pictures Jane drw of him. He laughed slightly. "Oh did I tell you I have a stalker?" He asked showing her the pictures.

Melinda smiled at Chris, and after that kiss she was sitting you may never know where, but it was far from Earth..."I love you too...more than I can ever, ever imagine..." She said, holding his hand.

"A stalker?" Melinda questioned, quite entertained already. She then saw the drawings. "Who made this...it's amazing..." She asked, quite startled from the talent of the girl who was following Chris. "She really likes you...eh?" Mel asked, pretending sort of a jealousy face.

Chris smiled wide back to Melinda. "Oh really you love me that much? Cause I love you more." He said playfully and also held Mel's hand.

"Yeah." He said nodding. "Umm her name his Jane she will be a fifth year Gryffindor this term." He said shrugging. "Yeah she does. A lot actually. But there is no need for the jealous face, cause my girl is right here." He said smiling and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Nuu...I love you more..." Melinda said, and leaned again to kiss him. Her smile, her feelings were real for the first time in a year and she was really excited to be around his guy for that time. All of the sudden, she felt lucky again.

"...she's just a year younger than you." Melinda told Chris, quite surprised. "...and why did she do this....I mean, she may had seen something out of the normal in you. More than the amazing you are, I mean again..." She said, laughing at the way she was talking. She was tripping too much over words. And who wouldn't?? That kiss on the cheek, nothing coming from her mouth could mean something.

"Nooo I love you way more." Chris said smiling. Then he kissed her again, he had missed her so much. And it felt great to have her back with him.

"Yeah she is." He said nodding. "Umm no idea. If you see in this one." He said pointing to the bottom of one of the pictures. "she wanted me to sing to her. And she gave this to me, I don't know March and I ended up singing to her on the train ride home." Chris said chuckling. "I really have no clue it was weird when we first met, cause I was in the common room talking to a bunch of people. Then Jane comes in and sits right next to me and then kept taking quick looks at me. I thought it was weird so I said hi. And she like already knew my name then out of the blue gave me one of pictures she had drew of me. It was creepy actaully." He told Melinda.

Mel stopped a kiss at a time, "...if your parents come, I don't want to get you into trouble..." She told him and laughed. She sat up on the bed and smiled at Chris. "...this is the perfect day, except for the bruise on your stomach" She commented as she held his hand.

"Aww. That is so sweet. And I'm proud that after how creepy it must have felt to meet her, you actually sang to her." She said, smiling wide.

Chris felt Melinda pull back from the kiss, he did the same. "Yeah I don't think that would be very good." He said laughing with her. "Really cause I thought I wrecked it with the fall. Still I'm so sorry." He told Mel crossing fingers with her.

"Awe you're pround of me." Chris said chuckling. "So maybe I should play for you before you leave." He said smiling.

"And to think that any minute Nick could come into your room. After all, this is his house as well. And he's your brother. Imagine his face..." Melinda made the comment, giving Chris the imaginable expression of a seven year old boy, then laughing. "And don't worry...accidents and provoked ones...happen. We can have fun here...or you watching me and Nick play Quidditch" She said, giving him a grin.

"You would?" She asked, feeling quite honoured to experience one of Chris's presentations. "It'd be great...thanks." She said, giving him a smile. "I..." She kissed..."Love.." another kiss..."You..." another kiss.

Chris laughed. "Oh God, Nick would just freak out. I don't think he would know what to do. He probably just stand at the door with a dumb look of his face." He said and chuckled. "Yeah I know, but still. Oh right I you promised Nick that. That should be fun to watch." He said smiling.

"Yeah of course I would." He told her and smiled. "It's no problem." He told her. Chris felt Mel kiss him and say I love you. He kissed her back each time. "I love you too." He said.

"Yeah, " Melinda agreed with a laugh, a really long one. "...poor kid. Don't blame him, he's only seven, when he gets near our age...he'll understand, maybe." She said, referring to that problem Chris and Mel had always had, her past. And it had been the only reason they were now separated.

"And I came for that as well. Nick is going back as well to school, and I wanted to wish you both a nice year...though, you know I'll be coming once in a while to see them. And I will leave you letters with your parents, so we don't go through all that problem of the borders blocked." She said, hoping it would be solved soon.

"Well, I'll be waiting..." She said and smiled. Though, she felt her damp clothes. "Let me go dress up in dry clothes," She said staing up and walking towards the door to go downstairs and pick up her backpack to later dress up. "...be back in a sec." She said and walked out of the bedroom. With another pop, she appeared back, wearing nice and dry t-shirt and jeans.

"No I don't blame him. I understand he is still young and wouldn't understand what's going on." Chris told Melinda. "Heck I don't understand to much of what's goin on." He said to her.

"Hey if you want to go spend time with my brother go right ahead." He said smiling. "He probably would love that. I haven't really gotten around playing with to much because of my hand. And now this." He said pointing to his stomch.

"Umm yeah go ahead." Chris said nodding. And as sonn as Mel left he tryed sitting up a little more on the bed. But this ended up causing more pain. "Ouch." He said whinning slightly and fell right back into the bed. But he then saw Melinda come back into the room and smiled. "Better?" He asked.

Melinda looked at Chris, feeling akward about what he had said. It was true...nothing in her life nor that relationship was clear enough. "I'm sorry, it's most of it my fault." She said with a frown, but then that smile from Chris, it melted her...she just smiled back.

"It's still early and I have all day to appear back in Greece. I can play with him when the heat goes down, right now a race during this sunny day can be sort of deathly." Melinda commented, looking out through the window as she let out a long sigh. "...while then, we can have fun Muggle ways." She said turning back to Chris then thinking about some games she had learned those past months.

"I heard that Owww..." She said, shaking her head and going over to sit with him. "Anything you would like??" She asked, sort of preocupied. "Yes, this is much better. I still could feel myself inside the water and the shirt was sort of covered in blood and ripped." Mel said, looking at Chris then she shrugged her shoulders.

"Ooh, I found these..." She said, taking out of her bag a couple of card games, ping-pong equipment, a Monopoly (whatever that was, the game was Melinda's favourite game so far), and a mp3 player that she had learned to use a couple of weeks ago. "...and I had the chance to invite Nick here with us for a while, is that okay for you?" She asked, though knowing he would say yes.

"Mel no I didn't quite mean it like that. I meant you know this is confusing cause you are so far away and I'm at Hogwarts." Chris said and shrugged.

"Umm you are right. It is kind of hot out. Don't need you having a heart attack on us." He said. "Muggle ways. Like what?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

"You did?" Chris asked hoping Melinda wouldn't have. "No I just hate being stuck in bed. It sucks actaully I like never lay down like this in the middle of the day." He said and sighed slightly. "Sorry about that. I kind of got blood on my shirt too if that makes you feel any better." He told her.

"Wow how much stuff can you fit in the bag of yours?" He asked and laughed. "No I don't mind." He said shaking his head.

At the moment Nick walked in. Sort of scaried of what would be going on. But he was relieved to find nothing was going on between the two. "Hey Chris, how you feeling?" He asked climbing up on the bed next to him.

Chris looked up and saw Nick. "Oh not to bad." He said smiling towards him.

Melinda took a deep breath, trying to smile. "Yet...all that is caused by me...by the infinite pile of lies that lie in my past. I wish some things had never happened...like me, leaving you." She said, taking his hand in order so she could calm down.

She shook her head, trying not to imagine how terrifying it would be for everyone fall from a broom because of a heart attack and to later face the pain. "...no, we would never like to see me in that condition." She said, quite scared of her own health at that moment. Then came that question, she thought about it for a moment, making a grin as she thought, "Well, without magic is always fun...we can talk while we play card games, we get to have a joke around..." She said, trying to sound as convincing as JoAnne when she tried to bring her along.

"No, it's my fault. Mimi shook the tree branch, you had to jump out of there, it was very rushed...and you scratched your stomach." She told him, letting out a long and very, very stretched sigh.

"I think it's infinite, I mean the capacity to keep things. Though, once in a while I get to empty it and see lots of small memories...like a napkin from Florean's I found last week." She said, letting out a giggle when she remembered.

Melinda smiled when Nick came into the room. "Welcome...choose any game of these and I hope to know how to play it correctly." She said, giving both the Kaplan boys a wide and warm smile.

Chris could tell Mel was getting upset. "Calm down. Let's not think of that right now alright?" He asked. And leaned in to give her a kiss on the cheek, knowing it would calm her down.

"Oh Mel. I didn't mean to make you scaried." He said to her. He could just look at her and know that she was. He took his thumbs and stroked her cheek gently. "I just don't want to have to worry in case something like that did happen and I wouldn't be there." He told her. Chris chuckled when Mel started convincing him what muggles do. "Oh boy sounds like fun. And you do know I have played some of these games before." He said to her.

"Melinda it's not your fault. It's your house elfs, she was just trying to protect you." He said to her. "The only thing I worried about is getting around school. Cause that will be kind of hard if this pain doesn't go away." He said

"Wow." He said laughing. "I really don't want to know how old the napkin is." He said teasing Mel.

Nick looked at the games. "Ummm how about that one." He said pointing to the monopoly game.

That kiss on the cheek, those words been said; it sure calmed the upset girl for the day. Melinda couldn't stop smiling at Chris, and that was all because she just missed him too much and being with him had converted the day into the perfect one. "Okay...nothing that makes us upset...shall be talked about again..." She whispered and smiled.

"Maybe as old as one of those dates we had. I think it's from the day you tried to talk to Roxy and it didn't work..." Mel said, reminding him of that day when he tried to either break up or take one of his hats back, which didn't work after all.

She looked at Nick, quite excited. "...well, have you played this game, Nick?" She asked sort of worried, since she had not won any of the rounds she has played.

Chris watched as Melinda smiled to him. "Ah there's that smile." He said to Mel, and also smiled. "Deal." He said and nodded his head.

"From when I tried to break up with Roxy?" He asked suprised. "Mel that's like three years old." He said and laughed. "You know I wish I had that hat. I sort of miss it." He said and chuckled.

Nick looked at the game. "Umm not sure." He looked up at Chris.

"I know I have don't know if you have though." He told Nick and shrugged. "If he want's he can play with me though, seen I know I wouldn't have gotten the game when I was his age." He said.

"Yeah that sound good" Nick said and smiled. "And whose Roxy?" He asked Chris confused.

"Umm right you were to young to knew who she was. Umm...she was a friend." He said to him.

Melinda laughed, trying not to really think of that day. "Yeah...poor hat." She said, teasing him. "I wonder what happened to her..." She commented, then looked at Nick, then back at Chris when he mentioned Roxy had just been a friend.

"Well, let's see if I know how to play it right, if we get stuck...we can always read instructions..." She told the boys, taking out a piece of paper loaded with information about the rules.
