Chris was putting Ricky back in the cage but he saw something in the cage. He picked it up and looked at it. Making sure it locked the cage, before reading the note. He chuckled slightly when he read it. And then looked back at his hand. "Can't believe I didn't break it." He said quietly to himself as he flex his hand. Opening and closing it. It still hurt slightly. He then sat down on the ground and just stared at the bottle for awhile. He then turned it around in his hand.

A parchment piece spread along the potion. It didn't say anything...it was written in invisible ink. Whenever the heat was nearby, such as normal hand warmth, it would show this:

Chris looked at the piece of parchment across the bottle. He stared at it. Why is it blank?" He asked out load. But then wrapped the bottle around his hand more trying to figure it out. Words began to apper. "Invisible ink." He mumdered under his breath.

3 times a day? Umm alright. Chris took the bottle and tipped it over the bruise. Some came out and he rubbed it gently on the bruise. He winced, it hurt to touch it. He sighed slightly, he got up put the bottle on his nightstand. He then got into bed. He was tired and after his head hit the pillow Chris was asleep.

Lovely almost time to go back to school...

Melinda was really tired from walking...dumb apparitions...She knew she had thought fine about Chris's house when she tried it but she didn't appear in front of his house, just like it had happened last time. Oh well...it was nice to have some exercise. Let's hope the girl doesn't faint or something once she arrives to the door of the Kaplans' home.

So, she knocked the door and waited outside. Melinda hoped Chris figured out about the bottle of ointment she had sent along with the note announcing her visit. She just missed him and his family way too much.

Chris had been outside with Nick. Nick was in the pool and had been splashing Chris. Who was trying to learn a new song on his guitar. When he heard the door. He groaned slightly. "Who could that be?" He said and ran inside.

Once inside he went to the door. He opened it and saw Melinda. He smile became wide. "Hey come in." He said opening the door to let her in. "You find the house alright. You look sort of tired?" He said.

Finally, the door opened and Melinda's face look horridly tanned. Gahh...she hated her skin to be sunburned, unless it was something she achieved during some swimming time but this was weird. She had not apparated where she had destined herself to...it might have been a matter of concentration along the trip or something...

"Hey..." She said, still wearing that wide smile on her face and carrying a light backpack along with her. "How have you been?" She asked Chris as she came in, knowing that any minute, his parents and Nick would be around.

The house was fresh, so cool. Great...now she needed to rest.

Chris shut the door behind Melinda. But before he could answer he heard his dad call from upstairs to him.

"Who was it Chris?" Charlie asked.

"Melinda." He called back.

"Oh alright." He said. But thought it best not to head down yet, they should probably have some time alone.

"They will be down soon. I promise." He said to her and smiled. "Umm I've been good." He said taking Mel's hand. "Oh thanks for the ointment thing it really helped. So how are you?" He asked.

Melinda heard Mr. Kaplan upstairs. "Good day, Mr.Kaplan!" She greeted and smiled.

She was about to walk into the living room, at least to the stairs to sit down and rest, when she felt Chris's hand touch hers. Oh dear...melting time again? Besides the one she just came upon to for the last ten minutes...

Mel turned around to see him and smiled. "You're welcome. I got sort of worried...it was a hard hit to do to your own house...and I see the bruise is healing quite well.." She said, checking upon it. Only a few marks were left.

"Oh, I've been good. Resting from grandma. JoAnne and I were invited to Greece to spend some time with our friends and the oportunity came." She said with a smile. "How are your parents and Nick?" Melinda asked, "did they say anything about the bruise?"

"Hey Melinda." Charlie said down to her.

Chris smiled to Melinda. Yet he could still tell she was tired. "You want to go sit or something?" He asked.

"Yeah I know it was stupid. I was just mad and I didn't know what to do. So I hit the wall." He said sheepishly. "Umm yeah it's healing still hurts a little though." He said nodding.

"Greece? You liking it there?" He asked. "Umm everyone is fine. And yes my mum saw the bruise. I tryed to say I was out in the forest and I had hit it when I was climbing a tree.-not really wanting to say anything with hitting the wall-but they had heard the bang. They understood and weren't mad." He told her and shrugged.

Melinda nodded, fanning herself with her left hand. "That would be great, thank you..." She told him with a big smile, "...how about the living room?" She suggested as she took his other hand and walked inside. It was sure beautiful. Melinda was still amazed from the house.

She shook her head in disagreement. "Well, promise me that your anger will be taken away in some other way. Not hitting walls nor people...just maybe, Quidditch or swimming. I know by experience that swimming takes away most of the stress and anger..." She told him, smiling wide.

"Greece...well. It's beautiful and the house we're staying is quite...great. So, yeah...I like it. But is because it's near here..." She said, quite shifty, still holding Chris's hands.

"Please don't lie to your parents. I mean, I'm glad they understood...but it's never the way to get out of trouble." She said, turning her eyes another way. She was the perfect liar around.

"Alright." Chris said he to walked towards the living room. Once there he sat down on the couch.

"Oh so you like it that you are close by?" Chris asked also still holding Melinda's hand and smiled.

"Oh come on Melinda have you ever seen me hit anything? Well besides that one time." He asked Melinda. "It's not like I wanted to hit the wall or anything it just happened. I really didn't relize it till after." He told her.

Chris put his head back and sighed. "I didn't lie to them because I didn't want to get in trouble. It was more because I was embarssed. I mean like I never cry like that. I hate to do that, and I got freaked out and just didn't know what to say." He said. "And I promise I will not do that again." He said but noticed she was looking away. And he knew why.

Chris then took the left hand-not wanting to make his right hand start hurting again-and put his under Mel's chin gently. He made it so she was looking at him. "Mel I have forgotten about those lied you told me. I now know why you told me them. To protect me. And even if I hate being lied to, everyone does lie sometimes. I mean it's part of being human making mistakes." He told her smiled slightly.

Melinda slightly nodded, trying not to blush or anything embarrassing again. She felt more than weird that day. Visiting her ex-boyfriend...what a day..!! "Yes...I mean, it's just a country boundary to cross, not like if I came all the way from France...I think it's about eight...but of course, the reason that makes me come here is you and your family. I feel secure...again." She said, smiling wide to him. She took a deep breath and smiled when he promised not to do it again. It relieved her..."thanks..." She whispered.

ERr...she didn't remember. "Not that I can remember, unless you hit Jason someday...I'm sure I would have not forgotten about it." Melinda said, letting out a small giggle around. She listened to him speak about his reasons to not tell his parents about that emotional hit. "Your family loves you the way you are, any changes...sometimes...makes them happy. They always see that person who just hides those feelings away, so this was a surprise to them." She commented. She took a deep breath and smiled when he promised not to do it again. It relieved her..."thanks..." She whispered.

Melinda turned her head along with the hand pulling her to do so. She shook her head slightly. "But they have..taken us apart. Those lies...are killing me every minute of my life left." She said, slowly letting go of some tears. She could not bare to speak more about those days. They were over...

"Umm yeah it is only a country away." Chris said thinking about it. "It makes you feel secure? Well that is a good thing...I think." He said to Melinda and smiled.

He shock his head. "No I never ever hit Jason. I came close to it but I never did." He said. "Yeah see it is a change. And it could be good, and yet it could be bad." He said. "My grandfather-on my dad's side-he always tought me not to ever really show that emotion. Not that it's bad if girls do. But he didn't believe that the man was suposed to cry at all." He told Melinda. "And I guess it has just sort of stuck with me my whole life. My dad doesn't think that way. I he was just very suprised to hear that." Chris said to her. "No problem. I don't think my hand could take it again." He said and laughed softly.

"I know. I know they have." Chris said. And then saw Melinda cry. He put his arms around her, bring her into his chest. "It's alright, we are together now. And I promise we will someday be together forever." He said and kissed her cheek.

"It is..." Melinda commented, smiling. "I think the last time I felt like this was a couple of years ago, when Dante was no where around menacing Jade and me to ruin every effort she and her brother have made for my life to be sort of normal." She said, shaking her head...Melinda was still too confused.

"Well, see...your parents are surprised...yet glad that you show some emotions." She told him and smiled wide. "But you know...do anything else...swimming, dancing, singing, playing the guitar...something that makes that anger, those emotions go somewhere another force takes you." She said.

Thos promises...were they meant to be together?? It was something quite unknown. Someday, Chris would find a girl...better than Melinda. Or not. "Thank you...and I swear I will make everything in my hands to make it possible..." She said, hugging him back.

"Ah alright I see." Chris said. "Well it's good you have a place now where you do feel secure." He told her.

"Yeah they are actaully very glad about it." He said and smiled just as wide as Melinda. He then started to laugh when she said dancing. "Come on Mel. You know I can't dance to save my life. It would probably just get me even more angery." He told her still chuckling.

"Your welcome. And I will do the same. Because I don't want anybody else but you. And like I said I would wait forever if that's what it took to be with you again." He said to her.

"Oh, well...it's my case with dancing." Melinda said, laughing quite outloud, remembering herself not to ever mention Chris again the possibility to do so. "Your case, is Quidditch, music...that mostly make your emotions show in other ways..." She commented with a smile.

Melinda almost cried when she heard Chris say those things. He was...so loveable...!!! "I hope I don't make you wait so long..." She said, sitting straight back on the couch and smiling to him.

"Yeah your case. It's not that I hate dancing but I just can't dance." Chris told Melinda. "But mostly music." He told her and smiled.

"Yes but maybe it will be me who would make you wait. But that's only if you want to." He told her. He then put his arm around her shoulder then rested his cheek on the top of her head. He sighed. "I can't believe how much I've missed you." He said to her.

"What if..." She started to speak, more than a whisper it was. "...it was too much time to be waiting...?" Melinda asked him, quite worried of his answer. She now rested her head against his chest, still smelling like those woods she loved, and where they were. She smiled but then again frowned at the thought it was just too much from that boy to ask.

"I can't believe it as well...it's so great that I got to see you...incredible, I should say. I thought I would have to wait a long time to have this moment again." She said, taking deep breaths...so trying not to face him and wanting to kiss him again.

Finally it clicked in Chris's brain. What was he asking Melinda to do? Waiting for him till he was done with school, and even after that. And what was he saying, he wasn't ever going to date again. "Wait you're right. What am I asking you to do. Wait for me till God knows when." He said to her looking down as she put her head on his chest. "That's totally not fair at all. I'm sorry." He said.

Chris nodded. "I also thought this wouldn't happen for a long time." He told her but then stopped looking at her. He stared out the window. He was sort of mad at himself for trying to make Mel wait. He bit his lip but still had his arm around her.

Melinda just went all crazy...He was not getting the deal about waiting that long. "Hey...it's my mistake...I am going to make you wait so much time. For me, two...three years may go easly, studying and such...and that's how I intend to wait for you to end your school...but how about I take too long. I mean...if I want to do other things, if those things make you wait a little longer. That will be so unfair for you." She said, quite exhausted after trying to think too much, maybe.

Chris ran his hand through his hair. Like he does everythime he gets confused. "Alright I really thing maybe we should drop this subject cause I'm really confused. And time will tell all. And we should just wait and see what happens. He said to Melinda.

Melinda almost went into a breakout. She just was confused, really confused. As well as Chris, she could tell...by his expression and that sweet wrinkled nose. "...yeah, drop the subject." She said, trying to think of something else to talk about.

Then it came up..."Where were you...before you went to open the door,? because your clothes are a little humid..." She explained her question, taking his shirt, showing the marks of water splattered on it .

Chris looked down at his shirt. He saw all the marks. He laughed slightly. "I was out by the pool trying to play my guitat. Which is really really hard to do with my hurt hand. But Nick was in the pool and kept splashing me." He told Melinda and nodded.

Melinda felt so guilty about his hand being injured, that she just made an awwe face and tried to smile at him so cheering up would do. "Ooh, then...can we go outside by the pool...would he dare to splash me as well as I watch you play your music?" She asked him, giving him a kiss on the cheek and standing up. "Come on...I'll race you..."

Chris smiled. "Umm I don't know. But I cause there is only one why to find out." He told Melinda. "Alright alright. But do you think you have any chance in winning." He asked standing up. Chris then kissed her cheek."Go." He whispered softly into her ear as he took of toward the kitchen to the back door.
