Hey everyone! I’m Ashley for those of you who don’t know me. I have been gone for a while but now I’m back and have decided to start another RP!!!!
Its Christmas themed so just hang with me!

Twas the night.....

The Holly Home is a home that was started for the students of Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang to go when they can’t go home for Christmas. Whether you don’t feel like going home, your parents don’t want you to go home, or you have no home to go to the Holly Home is open.

Mrs. Pinkler is the old woman who created and takes care of Holly Home. She is the old grandmotherly type that everyone loves.

This year Mrs. Pinkler finished getting everything ready for all of the students to come. Everyone arrived and was having the times of their lives. Until one night, the children found Mrs. Pinkler dead. Not only was she dead but she was murdered. They knew for a fact that no one that other than the children had been in the home. Who had done it.....

She turned back to Carter. Sure some of his puns were slightly over the top but over all she really liked the guy. SHe gave him a smile before looking down at the sketch that he was referring to.

"oh that one?" she said looking at it. "That was my younger sisters first day at Beauxbatons, she was scared out of her whit" She told him. THe picture was of a small girl sitting on a bench in a bustling courtyard with a frantic face. "She was furious with me for drawing that one" Noah said surpressing a small laugh.

Robert watched as Isabella,malvina and Elaina talked.he was beginning to like Isabella.she seemed to be a really nice girl.he would certainly have a nice time this christmas.
So what are your christmas plans here? he asked looking at Malvina and Elaina.he remembered that last time they had a skit of sorts that they made up and performed for Mrs.Pinkler which was so much fun.

"It sounds lovely," Malvina said with a smile. "I've lived in Russia all my life, except for attending Durmstrang and here for Christmas. My parents own an estate that's been in the family for centuries. It's just outside Anadyr, the main city of the Northermost part of Russia. It's always quite cold..."

"My plans are simple," Malvina said with a shrug. "Enjoy this comparatively warm weather and not get coal, once again, for Christmas." And ignore the constant reminder that her parents neither loved her nor cared enough to make sure she had actually gone somewhere for Christmas break.

All girls were one thing and one thing only, that was complicated. And in his book if girls were only one thing that meant they were simple. (yes that was extremely confusing, I know)

"See first you say that you like someone who is peaceful and calm like you" He paused for a second, "Which the more and more I talk to you, I'm starting to believe that you are less peaceful and calm by the minute" He told her quite frankly. THen Finn continued. "But at the same time you want the dark, mysterious type." He said still looking at her. "Now it might be just me, but those two don't excactly go hand in hand" He concluded.

Rob just nodded his head.he didnt have much of plans as yet.he would just chill around and enjoy his time here with his friends.

Her smile warmed him from his head to his toes and Carter could only smile in return. He returned his glance to the sketch and smiled at her description. "Poor girl," he said, remembering his own first day at Hogwarts. He laughed at her statement, but quickly smothered it as he realized Noah was doing the same. "I can imagine... if I had a sibling I would not have wanted them to draw me on my first day... not to mention my awkward first year self would be frozen in a portrait forever," he joked. "But this is really quite good- I'm sure your sister is complimented as well," he said as he continued looking through the pad. "Which one is your favorite?"

"Not necessarily better use," Carter said with a small smile. "Just, different." He nodded and waved as she departed. "Until next time," he said with a smile as she walked to the kitchen.

Noah didn't even have to think about which one was her favoirte she quickly turned to about the middle of the pad and found the one she was thinking of. It showed a beautiful woman with dark hair about the age of thirty holding a small baby that was wrapped in a blanket and alseep in her arms. Standing beside the woman was a small girl about six years old (the classic french child in her cute dress and huge bow that topped off her long brown hair) that looked over the cute baby. Behind her a sofisticated looking man had his hands on the little girls shoulders with a large smile on his face as he looked to the woman. "This on by far is my favorite"

"Well that's good," he said, but didn't continue as Noah began flipping through the pages. Finally, as she stopped he blinked in surprise at the artwork before him. It showed a family, at least what he presumed to be a family, concentrated all on the woman and the baby she was holding. It was a beautiful scene and each of them looked as if they could simply step off the page.
"Wow..." he breathed, and no joke would dare enter his mind that that point. He remained marveling at the sketch until he finally looked over to Noah. "This is absolutely brilliant. I can see why its your favorite... did you know them?" he asked. For the first time that night, his voice was completely serious. No flirt, no jokes, just a 7th year Ravenclaw.

Noah was staring down at the page. This sketch always caught her in a trance. She could sit there and baffle at the beauty of the man and woman for hours. This was the perfect family. What had happened.

She was still staring intently at the sketch as she heard Carter's voice. She looked up him and was slightly shocked at her seriousness. "Yes" She answered him. Her eyes looked back down at it once more as he asked if he knew the family "It was mine" She told him her eyes not leaving the sketch.

Carter didn't see her shocked expression, he was still studying the sketch before him. It looked like it could be a photograph, except for the stray pencil marks here and there and signs that an eraser had been taken to a few sections.

However, he had to look up as she said it was her own family. "It looks like you're all really happy," he said warmly. "Are you the older girl here- or the younger one?" he asked, his fingers hovering over the two he had mentioned. He knew she had said she had a younger sister... but it was possible that she had an older one as well.

"Yes we were" Noah said to Carter, her eyes still lingering at the sketch pad. Finally though she looked back at him. "I'm the older one" She said to him. "The baby is my sister Scarlett" She said keeping her eyes on his this time instead of looking back down.

Merlin how she wished that her family was still in tact like it was in the sketch. She could barely even remeber the good times. And poor Scarlett didn't have any recognition of them at all. But on this note she stayed quiet.

Carter met her eyes and he saw such a range of emotion in them he was speechless- and that only happened rarely. "Another topic for another time," he said quietly as he returned his eyes to the sketch. "It really is quite beautiful- it had better be in a museum someday... otherwise, I'll be coming after it myself," he said, unable to resist trying to make her smile.

Noah knew that Carter had seen that there was much more to her story than what was seen on the surface. She really hadn't planned to get into that serious emotion conversation. Especially on the first day she met the guy. She stayed quiet when he mentioned having that conversation another time.

However when he spoke of it being up in a museum she gave him a soft smile, meeting his eyes. "You really are good at that you know" She told him. "You have a way of making everything okay, making people feel better" He probably knew all of this, but it never hurt to tell someone.

Carter grinned and decided it was best not to comment at the time. He gently closed her sketchbook and slipped it back into her bag. "Well, I don't know about making people feel better, but I know for a fact that chocolate always helps... come on, let's get some from the kitchen," he said, standing quickly. Then, he turned to offer a hand down to help her stand up. Not that she needed it, but he was back to his usual self. "Would the lady like to accompany me?"

It was getting windy and cold then ever
Come on lets go in and warm ourselves up in front of the fire Robert saud rubbing his already gloved hands.
come on Isabella, Malvina and El. lets get moving.
cozy chat by the fire is any day better then stuttering words in cold outside he said smiling and led the way for them to return back in the house.

Malvina rolled her eyes, though a smile graced her lips. "Pansies," she muttered, wiggling her glove-less fingers tauntingly. She followed Robert into the house, easily shedding her jacket and hat. She had to admit, she fire looked inviting...

Robert walked back with Malvina,Isabella and Elania into the house.he removed his thick coat and muffler and put them on the stand nearby.he removed his gloves and put them in the coat pocket.he walked into the living room which was slightly deserted.he walked and sat in front of the fire and placed his hands above the fire so that his hands would warm up a bit.

Izzy raised her eyebrows as he called her by her full name. She didn't know he knew her last name!

"I am? Well, that's a first. Ususally, you confuse me!" She said with a grin.

But then as she came to his supposed conclusion, she gave him a mysteriuos smile.

"You're absolutely right. But when I said mysterious, I didn't mean 'bad boy' mysterious. I meant more of a 'I don't know your history' mysterious. Does that make sense?" She said with a half laugh. She was starting to confuse herself.

"I guess I'm tired of the whole 'calm and peaceful' persona. I want some...adventure," She exclaimed with a grin.

"I usually just do things on impulse here. Trying to be different than my normal self sometimes", Elaina smiled.

Peter walked out of the kitchen after he had eaten his full of cookies and made his way back to the lounge. He saw Carter with a girl he didn't recognize and thought he'd leave them to themselves and he turned around and made his way towards the fire.

He saw a bunch of people and recognized a couple of girls that were sitting there, they were fellow Hogwarts students.

"Hiya, may I join you guys?" He said in mock politeness and took a seat beside one of them.
