The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches…born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies…and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will power the Dark Lord knows not…and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives…the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies…
As soon as he heard this prophecy, one of Voldemort's followers reported to his master. Voldemort went over to the Potters' house, killing James and Lily and trying to kill Harry. But there was no way of knowing if the prophecy applied to Harry or Neville Longbottom.
What if Voldemort went after Neville instead of Harry? What if Harry had been a normal child, growing up with his parents in a wizarding community? What if Neville had been the one that was orphaned, and was raised by his grandmother as a famous wizard? How would Harry and Neville be different? How would the events that happened during Harry's first year at Hogwarts change? This is all up to you.

"Be careful of Nargles dear!" he called out to her.
Luna smiled steadily taking a step. She then began to gently skip down the narrow aisle. All of the compartments were full. She made it to the of train and smiled at Neville. "Hello Neville." Luna greeted him in her usual day-dreamy voice. "How was your summer?"

Katherine was very nervous, this was for sure the day she had been waiting for a while now, after saying good-bye to her family and getting to the train she knew things would never be the same again.
Katherine couldn't find a compartment on the train, then she noticed a girl with the lightest shade of hair color she'd ever seen, that girl was talking to a boy.."Oh, come on Katherine! This is no time to be shy..and there are no more compartments empty" she said to herself, and then "Hi!, my name is Katherine, do you mind if I stay with you?" she asked the girl with the lightest shade of hair color..

That's a cool name!" she said, and noticed the girl's earings, "Well, my summer was quite alright, until I went to get my things for Hogwarts, that was the highlight of the summer" she continued, she still remembered the way she felt when going into the magical world, that's something no one could forget, at least not her.
"And how was your summer Luna?" she asked, perhaps someone had a better summer than the one she did.."Isn't this exciting!" she said "I mean, coming to Hogwarts...I'm the first one in my family to go there", after saying this she started to feel nervous again, there was no one to tell her what to expect..

Ron had managed to break away from his mother's grip and make off towards the train. He knew no one, so he had no idea where to sit.
He wandered up and down the corridors, looking quite lost. Finally, he saw an emptyish compartment with three people in it.

"My summer was lovely. Dad and I tried to go muggle fishing but the fish wouldn't bite dragon flesh." Luna stated with barely any expression on her face. "I suspect Nargles were behind it." she nodded her head smiling.
"Oh yes, it is quite exciting." Luna looked out the window to see if they weer getting close to Hogwarts. "A muggle-born? How interesting!" she grinned at Katherine. "I for one am fascinated my muggles. But I must warn you, some people aren't so fascinated." Her happy face turned cold.
Another student walked in. "Sure." Luna smiled scooting over to make room.

"Nice to know that not everyone likes muggles" she said in a lower tone...then, she remembered the other word she wasn't used to "Nargles", "Those things aren't so nice after all, if she suspects those were behind her lack of catching the fishes" she thought, and her mind wandered about what a nargle would be, it sounded like something you should be very carefull about, "Umm, Luna? You said nargles, what are nargles?" she asked her, and looked at her waiting for the answer.
Her eyes slightly turned to see a red-haired boy sit in the others empty seats, he sure looked he had already gone looking for seats in the train, after all, there were all almost taken. He spoke.
"Hi Ron, I'm Katherine, nice to meet someone else that does likes people like me" she said, with a smile, "Although I'm not very informed of why others call me that" she continued "I mean, I know that it's because no one in my family is involved in magic, but it sounds like a weird word to me".

Now that the nargles thing was out, the new boy had Katherine's attention, and while listening to Luna she thought that the boy's family might be quite popular, since he was linked instantly by the surname Luna has just said, "Maybe they all look a like" she thought, and her mind instantly pictured a red-haired family.

Katherine stood there, listening to both Ron and Luna while thinking that in the wizarding world families are quite known, she was amazed at that thought "It's like almost everyone knew everybody" she said to herself.
Yet, another interesting word suddenly was spoke: Quibbler.
"What's the Quibbler?" she asked, she loved to find out stuff and to learn new things, especially if those were common within wizards, because now she was one person in that unknown world.

Hermione kissed her parents good-bye and boarded the train. She had her favorite book under her arm and a big smile on face. She looked for an empty apartment to read in. Since all of them were full, she choose one that was loaded with people, btu decided to asked anyway, "Excuse me, Can I sit with you?" Hemrione had no clue who anybody was, but hopefully she could sit with some poeple and make friends.

"Well, I'm not sure in which I'll get, the only I think I wouldn't like is the Slytherin one, I did not hear well of that one" she remembered what she'd heard back at Diagon Alley about some people who were in Slytherin and were not nice.."I can't wait to know in which I'll get sorted into, I just hope that maybe I'll be with either one you" they were the only ones she'd met so far.
Then a girl entered the compartment, Katherine responded, "Yes, of course you can" and then made room for her..
