The sixth and seventh year students in the Muggle Studies class have been given a special assignment. They've all been shipped off to a muggle camp, for two weeks, in order to live with and like muggles. They're to observe the muggles' ways of life and when they come back, they're to write report about what they learned. This also means that for two weeks they aren't allowed to use magic. They have to be extra careful to make sure none of them slips up and reveals the wizarding world.

Some students are excited and others . . . not so much. Living in small, cramped cabins without magic and the luxuries they're used to will be hard. But then again there's a crystal, clear blue lake that they can go for a swim in and the evening campfire ceremonies and a sky full of stars they can gaze at. Not to mention, there's no homework to be done [for now]. And then there's the muggles. Some of them are actually nice and not so different from themselves.

And so what'll happen within the two short weeks the Hogwarts students are there? Friendships will be made and maybe even some romance will blossom. The typical camp prank or two might create some tension but that's all up to us to figure out! So join join join!

“Yes I know.. but dear, you know how less good my marks are when it comes to Muggle studies, I needed come.. and the professor basically pushed me to this.” Well, maybe she was exaggerating a little bit, no one had forced her to do anything.. just deep down, really deep down, she just kinda felt like she wanted to remember how it was to live as a muggle.
That and because she needed the marks, of course.

Matthew rolled his eyes amusingly when he noticed his name wasn’t on the papers.. again.
Every year was the same thing, the woman always managed to forget to write his name down.
“Mrs, I start to think you have something against me. You always forget to write my name on the pa..” though, the boy stopped talking when he felt someone bumping into his chest.
Gez, someone really needed to buy a pair of powerful glasses.
Someone .. a girl. At least the person that apologized was a girl, he could tell that by the person’s voice.
“Man.. you bump pretty hard for a girl.” he said while he started massaging his chest with his right hand before moving his eyes to the girl.
Ah, it was a red haired one. So the bumping hard thing was all explained.
Red haired girls always bump/slap hard.. and he knew that very well.
“Rocio? Now that’s an uncommon name.” the boy raised before removing his hand from his pockets to shake hers. I’m Matthew. You are new here aren’t’cha? I come here every year and I’ve never seen you around..

"Cabin two," the counselor barked at Matthew before moving along to deal with other affairs.

"Well, it's a Spanish name," she said proudly. She tucked a lock of her red hair behind her ear and examined the boy some more. He looked nice enough. "And yes, I'm new here, just visiting for two weeks and all. But it's fun here, no? How about you show me around some, huh?" She had a sort of mischievous glint in her eyes. She always came off as innocent but was always breaking rules.

Belle chuckled lightly. 'I thought I did.' It shouldn't be too difficult, considering they'd already shared the Ravenclaw dorms. The only difference here was Camila and some muggles were around rather than their fellow Ravenclaw girls. A point Melissa pulled up herself, though it startled Belle that she still casually used the word "muggle" with them around.

'Still. It's surprising you went along with it, with your . . . opinion.' The hesitation was short, but there nonetheless. 'Well, we're all getting decent marks after this, hopefully. It should be an interesting two weeks.' Strange, different, but interesting nonetheless, as she'd decided before even getting here.

Not bothering to check it yet, she grimaced at the mention of a traditional dance. Not Belle's favourite thing to do.

She turned back to Nick. 'You any good at dancing?'

Nick gulped and said a bit lost for words "Yeah, something like that. But i don't think you'll embarrass yourself if there is singing at the campfire." Truth to be told he had never heard her sing so he had no idea if she was right about her singing abilities. Nick figured that maybe he had pushed her a little to far so he said "I don't want you to do anything you don't want. I just thought that singing could be fun."

It was with some relief that the subject changed to Brownies and basic skills. Remembering something he asked "Do you get to learn first aid too? How to bandage cuts and wounds? It seemed almost like he was trying to make her feel better about the possibility of singing . . . well, Belle so far couldn't tell if it was working or not but his offer to sing with her definitely had her interested. As far as she knew, he hadn't ever sung with her in hearing distance, if it all. 'Well, we'll see,' she replied, giving him a warm smile. Maybe, if he absoloutely promised to sing with her, she'd give it a go . . . the results would be decided at the time. Right now, it would be impossible to say.

She nodded. 'I only stayed for the first two weeks of it, but my friend Shayna, who went with me, finished the course and ended up with another badge on her sash.' She shrugged. It hadn't been her choice not to finish the course; more like she had recieved the Hogwarts letter before she'd had the chance to. 'What did you cousin say? Did they go to a group like Brownies?'

She shrugged again. 'Like you, depends on the dance . . . but I try to avoid every dance as much as is humanly possible.' It wasn't the same issue as her singing; she knew she could dance some of the more popular dances, courtesy of Michael, but she just didn't want to. 'Well, I guess that's something else to - maybe - embarass ourselves together with if it's not one of our preferred dances.'

"I'd say 'Don't Worry' but, being James friend I think you should worry." he said to Alice0's brother. He didn't like to see his friend's behavior, though.

"I think I'll join them." Brian said. First, he liked the girl. Second... well, James was... James. He'd probably find some palce near by and... that were things Brian didn't want to think about it but james spent at least half of his life snogging with some girl. He didn't like Alice to be 100th girl to fall in love with James even after he stops talking at her.

James looked around and relied with a confident smile.
"Of course. Come with me." not even he knew where he was going.

"I think that's a damn good idea." Ethan replied sourly, watching them go. He'd already developed a slight like of Brian, and a major dislike of James. How was that possible in less than half an hour?

Giving James one of her nicest smiles for removing her from her scary brother, Alice responded with, "Oh really? Because I'd like to know about this place before I start to live here for a few weeks." Totally unaware that her sentence made hardly any sense.

James send Brian some angry looks.
He placed an arm around Alice's shoulders.

Okay, so she jumped just a small amount when Brian appeared at her other elbow, but keeping a straight face, she replied, sweetly enough, "It's Alice." Then turning away from him to the boy who had his arm around her shoulders, she giggled and replied, "Do you now? Sounds... Fascinating."

Hyperventilating was possibly the way to describe Ethan at that moment, so, he simply turned around. "Your sister is sixteen, she can think for herself." He repeated to himself in his head, not even listening to the conversation that was going on behind him. "Your sister is sixteen...

A little caught off guard by Brian's manner, but with a little reluctance, Alice slipped out from beneath James' arm and pushed her finger against his lips, "Go, go unpack, I'm sure you can show me later." Then, straightening her strapless dress, she bounced back to Ethan, who for his part was looking remarkably better.

"Extremely glad to see you again." Ethan muttered, taking his sister's hand and leading her towards the parchment that showed where they were all sleeping that night. To his... Immense happiness, he wasn't in the same cabin as the twerp who'd been hogging his sister. "You should go to your cabin." He continued, a little happier now she was away from James.

Okay so, of course he wanted to meet girls, but that one just appeared of no where with her unusual name and her red hair.

People around Melissa only knew a part of the motives why she disliked muggles so much.
They knew she used to live with muggles and that now she lived only with her father at the wizardry world.. and that was all people needed to know.

"Hopefully ?" the red haired eyebrow's popped up. " We must get decent marks. " But of course they must! They were there.. at some stupid muggle camp.. without magic.. and they couldn't let anyone know they were witches, obviously.
So, basically, they were risking a looottt.
Well, at least Melissa was.
"Well, I can not deny that.. I suppose it is going to be interesting.. still, two weeks is way too much time." One day would be surely enough. "I only hope everyone keeps their about close about magic and everything."

"Or do you just not want to show me around, hmm?" she asked. Her eyes still had that glint in them; her smile was sweet and innocent. "We could explore together. I hate being all alone." Besides, this guy looked like he could be a lot of fun. And she liked having fun. Even if he was a muggle, she didn't care--he was still a boy and that was enough for her.

"So, come on, accompany a girl while she gets to know this place?" she asked. "Not that you have to, but we could get to know one each other that way. Making new friends is always fun." Her smile widened.

Belle grabbed herself a handful of grapes from behind her, chewing on one thoughtfully. 'It's good to know you've let people know over the years.' Even if Belle may not have heard it verbally, it had certainly been suggested physically at times . . . and Belle was also very good and picking up negative opinions about muggles.

She grinned again. 'You can bet I am.' Was it really that obvious to someone like Melissa who'd only just seen her that she was excited? Woops. Maybe she was making it a little too obvious - but she couldn't help it!

'I suppose it depends on how well we do here,' she shrugged, messing with the fruit in her hands, turning them this way and that and allowing them to run over her palm. 'If we do do well, then it's a must.' And if they all managed to get through these next two weeks without using a wand at some point it would be a miracle.

It's not that long! Belle wanted to cry out, but bit her lip. She well knew how . . . tempermental the other girl could be at times. But then again, speaking of keeping quiet . . . 'Speaking of which . . . I'm just grateful there aren't any of them in earshot, because you're using the words casually in normal conversation.' Now, if one of the many muggles was in earshot - cover blown, bad idea. Belle was grateful there weren't any at the moment.

Walking very slowly into his new place of rest, Ethan dumped his worn out blue backpack down beside one of the beds. If that boy tried anything else with his sister. BAM! Even if Alice didn't want it. Sure he thought that, but he was pretty floppy under his sister's will. She was almost everything that commanded his being. Like she did with so many other guys.

Ethan was so stupid. Alice grumbled, and left the cabin she'd been assigned to almost as soon as she'd put on a small black jacket, jut to cover up her bare shoulders. Slowly making a move towards the tall tree that Eth had been by, she sat by it, a dogeared copy of "Far From The Madding Crowd" in her hands.

Camila walked towards a tree nearby wher she saw an outline of two people sitting together , she motioned to her brother to follow her because he seemed to be rooted to the spot . As she and her brother reached the two people she noticed that she didn't recognize them from Hogwarts so she thought that they were muggles . " Hallo ."she said smilling at them

Nick followed his sister silently not looking at where he was going , until she stopped infront of two people , he looked up as he heard his sister saying Hi he saw that they were a girl and a boy , he didn't say anything .

Alice looked up long before Ethan did, even though she had a book in her hands, "HI!" She replied excitedly. Always as happy as ever to meet new people. Which was sometimes what scared them away.

Ethan eventually looked up from his sister's book, giving the two who'd just joined them a half smile, he watched his sister, she'd already got into trouble with his brain, he didn't really want it to happen again.

Camila smiled at the girl and was happy that she was nice " Hi , I'm Camila . " she said shaking the girls hand , & when Nick didn't make any effort to introduce himself she said " And this is my brother Nick . "

Nick looked up at the boy and saw him half smiled he tried to smile at him too and was glad he managed a smile. As he listened to his sister introduce him his wasn't ready to shake hands but saw himself shaking hands with the girl , he didn't let go of her hand immediatley , because he was looking at her face , then realizing a second late that he was still holding her hand he opened his hand firmly and turned to the boy to shake his hand .

Alice gasped slightly, then did her amazing trick of saying extactly what was in her mind, "Camila! That's such a nice name!" In her opinion, waay better than plain old Alice. Then realised that she hadn't managed to introduce herself, or Ethan yet, "I'm Alice, and this is my brother..."

"..Ethan." Ethan finished off for his hyperactive sister, laying a hand on her shoulder, just as a slight caution. Giving a small glare to Nick as he held onto Alice's hand for a bit too long, he took his hand, and shook it with perhaps too much force, then let it go as quickly as he'd taken it.

" Thank you . " Camila replied at Alice's comment , then she turned around at Ethan & shook his hand saying " And I think Ethan is a sweet name too . " she said smiling at Ethan and turning around back at Alice " So , is it your first time here ? " she asked her trying to make conversation .

Nick noticed how quick Ethan was in taking his hand , he was a bit shoked and confused as to what the reason is . He heard his sister saying Ethans' name was nice and nodded his approval and let his sister taking the lead of conversation while he looked at Alice .

Ethan blushed slightly as Camila commented on his name. He'd never though that anyone apart from his parents would find his name sweet. And he'd never thought that he'd blush infront of his sister too. "Yes, this is our first time here..." He replied, the words hanging uncomfortably in the air.
