"JAMES!" Brian yelled from the 99th time. What was that guy still doing? They were suppose to be in the camp already.
"James! We're going to be late! Hurry up, for God's sake!"
Brian was a calm guy. He hated to arrive late somewhere and didn't like the others to do tht. Being the owner of a very smart brain and a cool BMW, he was now impatient, something unsual in him.

James Templeton left his house in his cool and relax way of walking. He was proud and knew how to play his cards. With his friends, he always knew what to say so they wouldn't be mad.

After one hour, they finally arrived to the camp.
Brian loved it at first sight. James looked around like it there was nothing special on it. He couldn't undertsand his friend most of the times.
They left the car and headed to the other guys and girls already there.
"Hey." they greeted.

"Hi," said Rocio with a beaming smile. "I'm new here. Actually my friends and I are all new." She gestured to Derek and the group with him. "And we're not sure where to go or what to do. Could you help us?"


Derek snorted at Belle's absurd comment about it being fun. "Fun? Fun? You grew up as a muggle. You're used to not having magic. I didn't. I always had magic with me and I always want to have magic with me. No one asked me if I wanted to be here," he said defiantly. "And get off my shoulder." He shrugged her off and crossed his arms once more.

Rebecca smiled at Josh saying "Well, you're here its a start. For here on camp can only grow on you."She had to admit to herslef that he had grown a lot more handsome over the year since she last saw him.

Rebecca followed Josh's gaze and sighed under her breath "I hope the new campers won't be as troublesome as last years. I still dream nightmares about the door to my cabin locked from the outside." She shivered involentarily just thinking about last years camp brought up memories.


Nick gave Dalton a long stare "Get sick? Do muggles get different diseases then us? At the moment i wouldn't mind if camp was cutten short. I wouldn't mind at all." Nick stood looking out over the campsite that was going to be his home for the next two weeks. Turning to Dalton he said "Yes, its plain torture not having our wands at our side." Thinking he asked "Have you brought you're trunk or used the muggle bags our professor mentioned?" Remembering he added "Rocio is going to see if the muggles know what we are supposed to do now."

Rebecca turned to Lakelyn saying "I'm all right. Not thrilled at the moment, but camp always grows on me." Rebecca fiddled a little with her brown her and then asked "Why does you're father throw you out of the house, Lakelyn? Does he think you need to get out more meet people?"

Rebecca poked Josh lightly in the side and asked suspiciously "Josh, What on earth gave you the idea the me and Lakelyn need babysitting?" Does he think we have grown so pretty that we need protection?


Nick turned as a cheerful and excited Isabella joined him, Dalton and Derek. Giving her a long glance he said muttering "Bella, why are you so cheerful? Its nothing cherry about not being able to use magic for two whole weeks? And are muggles really that fascinating? Aren't they just like us but without magical lineage?"

Rebecca nodded and smiled broadly at Lakelyn saying "I totally agree. We don't need to be babysitted, but maybe Josh does? He has grown quite handsome don't you think Lakelyn?And we need to do our friendly duty to see to it that he doesn't get hurt." Turning to Alice she smiled saying "Hey, Alice! I see that you are excited about camp? Thats good. Maybe you're excitement will rub off on me. I haven't found the camp spirit yet."

Isabella laughed "I'm cheerful because it's an adventure! Ofcourse they're fascinating! They survive their entire lives without an ounce of magic!" She sounded amazed by her last sentance then let out a slight sigh "Yeah I suppose, but they survive without magic . . . plus, they have muggle sweets, I love muggle sweets."she giggled.

Alice smiled back "Yeah I am. Don't worry, you'll get in the camp spirit soon enough . . . give it a day or two." Alice looked around still smiling, oh how she loved being outdoors.

"Fascinating?" muttered Derek as he glanced at Isabella. She was much too happy for his liking. He didn't know how he was going to get through this painlessly. "They're not fascinating. They're making my life hard at the moment. I would call that anything but fascinating," he grunted.

Practically falling out of the shiney SUV, Alice grabbed the top of the car door to steady herself, her flowery dress never totally white. She was actually being allowed out of the house with Ethan! Slamming the door behind her, she thrust her bag at her older brother with a grin. "Hold this for a sec." She muttered, moving around to the back of the car to get her bigger bag. Dragging it out and retrieving her other bag from Ethan, she moved away, a grin still spreading over her features.

Watching his sister was more like watching the tide change. But, she was easier to grab in ones hand. Moving slightly slower than she, Ethan followed her towards the main camp area. This better be all it was cracked up to be.

Lakelynn looked at the two. "Honestly I dont' think that anyone can be worse than the campers last year. Its just not possible" She said looking at all of the new people. She had to admit, they looked like they'd be interesting to get to know.




"I'm not sure I think they get milder ones than us." Dalton said with a shurg referring to Nick's question. "I brought the bags and things. I was worried that everyone else would bring them so i didn't want to stand out even ore you know?" Dalton said with a chiuckle. "What about you?" He asked.

Josh had definatly become much more attractive since the last time she saw him. SHe then turned and listed to the conversation that Rebecca and Alice were having. "I think mines growing, but I still haven't excactly found it yet" SHe said with a smile.

Isabella nodded "Fascinating." she smiled, why didn't anyone else see the wonders of the muggles as clearly as she did? She sighed and looked at Derek again "Oh come on grumpy, cheer up."

His gaze travelled to rest on the group she gestured to for a moment before flittering back to her. Leo shoved his hands into his jeans pockets, glancing around him. 'You know, that's a good question. I'm not entirely sure myself of what we do.' Useful, Jones. Very useful.

Belle smirked widely, pulling away from him as he shrugged her off. 'So what if I grew up as a muggle? You'll have to learn to drop your magic sometimes. It's rather easy, actually; just pretend you never knew about magic. It's like . . . you're the lead in a school play but you have to make your lines up as you go along. Improvise.' She shrugged herself.

She grinned at Isabella. 'Exactly! The muggle life is absolutely fascinating, how they get on without the luxuries we do! It's incredible to think that they can do so much without magic!' She nudged Derek in the side with her elbow. 'So put up with it. If you don't like it, at least pretend to so you don't bring everybody else down with you.'

Isabella grinned back. "Thank you!" she smiled and looked around "Shouldn't we be interacting with them?" she practicaly jumped up in joy and excitment.

"Oh," said Rocio. "Well, you can come along and help me find out," she suggested. "I believe they're supposed to assign us to cabins to stay in and such?" She remembered the professor mentioning they'd be staying in cabins. Girls on one side of the camp and boys on the other.

"And what if I don't want to pretend?" Derek muttered. He wasn't the type to go with flow. He liked having things his way. "And stop ganging up on me!" He looked at both Belle and Isabella. "You lot can go talk to the muggles yourself if you want to. You can't make me go." He gave them both an I'd-like-to-see-you-try look as if challenging them to make him go talk with the muggles.

Belle winked at the other girl. It seemed she hadn't been the only one rather excited to spend time amongst the muggles properly, with no hint of magic used.

She frowned, thinking. 'We can interact with them.' She turned expectantly to Derek.

'Sorry.' Leo shrugged, glancing around him at the others he could see. 'That's generally the rule with camps. It's usually one of the first things found out, no matter where you go.' Okay. So he'd had his fair share of camps over the years. More than his fair share. He didn't really care.

Belle giggled lightly. 'You're going to have to, because you're stuck here for two weeks, remember? It's a part of life; learn it, live it.' It was all too simple, in her mind; two weeks with no wand, no magic, just the simplicity of muggle life. 'Think about it; no having to remember incantations or wand movements, no worrying you've said something wrong and will end up spurting water when you meant to just levitate something . . .' So much more fun was the muggle's way!

She glanced sideways at Isabella, one eyebrow raised. Ganging up on Derek seemed like fun right now. 'Who says we're ganging up? We're just showing you you've got the wrong perspective on this thing. And you will talk to muggles. Maybe not right now, but you have to at some point. Especially if you're sharing a cabin with them,' she reminded him with a smug look on her face.

Rocio nodded. "I see," she said. "Well, my name's Rocio," she said extending a friendly hand to him. Now was as good a time as any to start making friends with the muggles. "What about you?"


"Just because I have to share a cabin with them doesn't mean I have to talk to them," he insisted firmly. He wanted to get through these two weeks fast and he would do it without talking to muggles. "I'm not talking to them and no one can make me talk to them. Most people find me intimidating in the first place, so I doubt they'll talk to me either."

Leo's eyes flashed down to Rocio's outstretched hand before his own reached out to meet it. 'The name's Leo.' No harm getting to know someone else, was there? No, he didn't think so. He shook her hand lightly once before dropping it again. 'So where about d'you come from, Rocio?'

Belle shook her head. 'You just don't understand, do you?' she asked, placing a hand reassuringly on his shoulder. It didn't matter to her he'd probably shrug it off like he did her head earlier, but hey. 'They will make conversation with you and you'll have to talk to them. There's a little thing called manners you might have heard of? I bet the muggles are just as enthustiastic to make new friends as Isabella and I are, so . . . go figure.' She winked cheekily at him before dropping her hand.

'By the way, you're not as intimidating as you think you are. Not in my opinion.' Intimidating? Pah.

"Well, I'm only here for two weeks," she said evasively. She had to be careful not to reveal what she really was. "So have you been to this camp before? What's it like?" she asked him curiously.



"You know what?" said Derek. "Why don't you go and socialize with the muggles, eh? Now's a good time to start making new friends, right? You run along and play with the poor muggles." He then gave her a small shove towards where Rocio stood talking to a muggle not too far from them. Maybe if he got rid of her, she'd stop bothering him about . . . everything.

He couldn't help but notice the way she didn't directly answer his question, but decided not to comment on it. She was allowed her secrets; anyways, he'd only just met her so he didn't plan on prying too much just yet.

He shook his head. 'First time, but according to my dad it's supposed to be good. Though admittedly we have very different tastes, so . . . who knows?' He shrugged casually. 'I suppose we'll find out for ourselves in a little while, though.'

It was the small shove that put the smile on her lips, though she'd felt the urge to after his words. Touchy, touchy, she chided in her mind while refraining from allowing the smile to develop into a bout of giggles.

That probably wouldn't be the best idea with a currently annoyed Derek.

She quickly regained her balance, before taking purposeful steps towards Isabella, though keeping on the other side so she could show Derek she wasn't planning on annoying him again any time soon . . .

. . . at least not right now. Give it half an hour and her mind might change. As may his - though she was very doubtful about that bit.

'Hey, Bells. How about we go find another muggle we can talk to?' she asked, deciding not to go to the muggle she'd been shoved towards in the first place. Besides, the poor guy didn't know he was already talking to a witch - three might be a little overwhelming even if he didn't know. She'd give him time.

"Oh, so I guess you can't show me around," said Rocio. "Come on then," she said, "why don't we have a look around the camp ourselves? Talk to some other people." She took his arm. She wasn't the shy sort at all. "We'll learn loads that way."

Derek let out a relieved sigh as Bell seemed to be done with bothering him. He turned his back to her hoping she wouldn't come by later to bugger him some more about talking to the muggles. He didn't need that now.

'Sorry,' Leo apologised again. He would help if he could, but the fact he was probably just as new as Rocio and her friends wasn't exactly working out in his favour. Stupid parents.

He was about to nod when she took his arm. Slightly surprised, he cleared his throat. Okay . . . maybe not one of the shy girls. Well. He was likely to end up spending time with Rocio over the course of the two weeks, so he might as well put up with it. 'Who to first?' Darn, how many people were there here right now? He could see a few stragglers and a few groups.

Now he really wished he'd come here the year before.

"Well, I could introduce you to my friends first. They're really nice, I'm sure you'll like them." She grinned and then led him over to the small group where Dalton and Belle and everyone else stood. She didn't let go of him even after they had joined all the others.

"Hey guys," she said. "This here is Leo. This is his first time here at the camp as well."

Derek merely grunted and didn't say much else.

"That there is Derek," Rocio informed Leo. "He's a bit touchy and moody, kind of like a girl, but once you get to know him, he's alright. I've known him for years. Once of my best friends, he is. But for some reason people find it hard to believe."

James and Brian were looking around. The first boy started conversation right-away with the girls.
"Hello, there." he said. For his bad luck, or not, the first one he talked to was a witch. Not that he knew, of course. James didn't believe in magic. "How are you? I'm James." he said introduccing himself.

Brian rolled his eyes at his friend. James was sooo predictable. He, on the other hand, didn't mind being alone. He looked around and picked a flower. Taking a small camera from the pocket, he began taking pictures.

Nick felt a little touched by Isabella's cheerfulness. Being grumpy was probably not going to solve anything or give a good impression on the muggles. "Muggle sweets? What’s special about muggle sweets?" he asked a bit curious but not so as though he wasn’t showing Derek respect..

Rebecca turned to Alice saying "You're probably right. In a day or two I will be a happy camper again." Looking around the campsite she asked "Have you seen any of the camp leaders? Don't we need to register somewhere like usual?"

Becca nodded "Yes, the campers last year was not very outdoorsy or friendly to say the least."Gazing over at the group on the other side which had grown since she last looked she said "Hopefully these new campers will be a lot more interesting and friendly to get to know." Smiling and giggling a little she asked curiously "Me time? Is parents allowed to have that?"Looking from Lakelynn to Josh and to Alice she asked "Should we start socializing with the new campers before we go and register?"

Nick nodded "Probably, we get all the same diseases the muggle’s get, plus the ones we get from using magic." Looking down at Dalton’s bags he walked over to a tree and took out his own bags from behind an oak tree saying "I had the same thought. I figured the bags were the right way to go. We don’t have to make it even more obvious that we are different." Nick saw Rocio approaching with a muggle guy and kept quiet. This wasn’t the right time to discuss with Dalton how they were supposed to hide their magical abilities. Rocio introduced Derek first giving him a colourful description. Not wanting to debate what Rocio would say about him Nick took a step forward and said "Nice to meet you, Leo! I’m Dominick. Nick for short."

Leo couldn't help but keep a grin off his face; it was infectious, and he felt his mood start to lighten up already at the thought of meeting other people - a very good idea when you didn't know anyone. And it didn't hurt Rocio kept on his arm.

He raised an eyebrow at her description of Derek, knowing almost immediately from the simple grunt that she was right. He needn't find that out for himself, at least not yet.

'Hi,' he greeted the group.

'Same here, Nick. It's great to get to know people!' Okay, so if he wasn't careful he'd end up acting like a toddler on Christmas Day, unwrapping their presents with glee. Well. He wouldn't get to that stage, because he wouldn't embarass himself in front of people he'd only just met.

Though Belle noticed the muggle Rocio brought up, she had to giggle at Nick's question. Flitting around behind him, she stood on her tiptoes to whisper her personal answer in his ear; 'Because they're different to ours and still absoloutely gorgeous!' It really was amazing that she'd grown up with it and yet still found it all so fascinating. That was just the crazy sort of person Belle could be.

Turning to the boy Rocio introduced, she winked at him once. 'Belle Lee. Don't get me mixed up with Isabella here,' she gestured to the other girl.

Excitedly pulling her brother towards the group of people that seemed to be gathering, Alice was almost in the thick of the comotion already, her dress flying behind her. Who cared that she didn't know anyone in this little gathering, she was happy enough with it. "Hey!" She said, a little loudly, but not enough to make anyone think she wasn't sane.

Ugghh, he was going to have to hold on to her for dear life in this case, as slowly as he could manage, Ethan followed his sister, his hand rapped around hers.

" I'm gonna miss magic . " Camila sighed as she walked beside her expressionless brother , " What's wrong with you ? " she said sounding annoyed " You haven't said anything at all about this camp . " she said looking at her brother as they walked towards the camp .

Nick glanced sideways at his sister and grunted , he didn't really like the idea of the camp but he was forced into this class in the first place by his father .

" I wonder where I'll find Rainie . " Camila wondered aloud looking at the group of people who where gathered together .

Nick approached the group with his sister " Hi . " Camila said looking for familiar faces " Hey Rocio . " Camila said hugging her friend then she spotted Belle , " Hey Belle . " she said hugging her too.

Nick merely nodded at them and smiled at Rocio & Belle .

"Hey, Nick, Camila," said Rocio as she turned to face them. She had let go of Leo's arm now and hoped the others would socialize with him. "Glad you two could join us. Won't this be loads of fun?"

Derek snorted as Rocio mentioned fun. But he didn't comment. "Hey," he muttered to Nick and Camila as they joined Rocio.
