20 years after Harry Potter banished Voldemort from the wizarding world, he comes back with a plan to control Middle Earth. Now it is up to Harry's daughter Joely and a group of our favorite Lord of the Rings characters to stop that from happening.

The day of her graduation from Hogwarts, Joely is sent to Middle Earth, where she befriends King Aragorn and his son, Aerosepth, who is assigned to protect her. But when Aerosepth and Joely fall in love, he is sent away, will they ever see each other again, and will Joely be able to stop Voldemort from taking over the world?

Aspeth smiled alightly at Idril, trying to get her to calm down a little. "Father." she said, greeting him as she turned her smile away from Idril.

Orion nodded, "Well, seems that she could have waited a bit, she hardly knows half of what happened." he said scowling.

Idril glared at Orion. "Well, if I hadn't been there, you wouldn't have been able to describe what happened!" she shot back, still glaring at him.

Aragorn stepped in. "I heard her part of the story, and it seems sufficient enough. But, I have also asked for yours, so your rudeness was unneeded," he said to his eldest son. "Remember, even the most uninvolved person may have noticed something that you didn't," he said cautiously. "How about we all head to my rooms, and we can discuss this further," he said, and began to walk down the hall.

Falsath sighed and looked at Aspeth. "Maybe you should stay here to talk with Idril, and I'll go with the King and Orion and see if we can get this situation sorted out," he said, kissing her on the forehead. "I'll see you later," he said and walked off with Aragorn.

Aspeth nodded to Falsath and smiled at her father as he walked off, looking at Idril, she shook her head, "That was handled nicely." she said, walking off to sit in a bench underneath a tree, the days events had begun to take their toll.

Orion didn't speak at all when they walked, instead he looked straight ahead, not daring to glance at his father.

Aragorn watched his son and soon they reached his rooms. Opening the door, he let both men in before he shut it behind them. "Alright, what happened?" he asked, sitting forward in his chair.

Idril finished stripping off the armour, working on the leg armour now. "What do you mean? Or are you just being sarcastic?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. Her temper was beginning to simmer down. "Are you alright?" she asked, putting the armour in a pile and coming to sit next to her.

Orion looked over at Falsath, "Do you wish to tell it, or shall I?" he asked.

Aspeth smiled, "I was being sarcastic, and yes, I'm all right, a little tired though." she confessed. looking at her friend, "I say the two of you avoid eachother for a while until you both have cooled off."

Falsath shrugged. "We should probably each tell it from our own point of view...we may have each seen something different," he said with a shrug. He went on to describe what he had seen to Aragorn. "Alright, I guess you're turn," he said with a small smile to Orion.

Idril nodded. "Well, its not like we planned this 'get together'," she said bitterly. "I don't even understand what's gotten into him! I haven't done anything to upset him, and its not like I've hurt him or anything! He should at least be thankful that I showed up when I did!" she said, sheathing her sword a little too roughly.

Orion nodded and told his father everything that he knew, "What do you make of it?" he asked.

Aspeth smirked, "Calm down." she said, putting her and on her friends shoulder. "It's going to be okay. You know how Orion gets at times, he has theses temper tantrums, we both know this."

Idril nodded, looking down at the ground. "Yes, but that was always when we were little, and very rarely have I been on the receiving end of one!" she said, tears suddenly gathering in her eyes. "I guess this means he doesn't have any feelings for me," she said with a small laugh, wiping away the sudden tears. "And you know, I was just starting to like the idea!" she said, shaking her head.

Aragorn sat back in his chair, taking in all the details that his sons and Idril had described. "Well, its seems these men weren't prepared at all for a fight, even thought it seems as though they were looking for one. It was their sudden disappearance that has been eating at me the most...you say they just disappeared? No trace of them at all? No hole where they had been?" he asked his sons, very curious.

Aspeth sighed and hugged her friend, "I thought you said that you didnt like him." she asked softly.

Orion shook his head, "No sir, we didn't find anything."

Idril grinned. "Well, one always dreams of being a princess," she said with a laugh. "And, Orion and I have always gotten along to certain extent..." she said with a shrug. "And, if it was true as you said, that he liked me, then it might not have been so bad," she said with a smile. "I mean, you and Falsath are so happy...I just hope one day I can get a happy marriage for myself," she said with a grin.

Gandalf had returned to the balcony that he and Aragorn had been standing on earlier in the day. As he looked out, something felt different. Nothing appeared to a person's normal vision when they looked out at the beautiful landscape, but something was different to him. Quickly, he left and headed to the King's quarters. "Aragorn," he said, walking into the room. "A darkness creeps on the edge of my mind, a great trouble comes," he said, eyes dark.

Aragorn stood as the door had opened, and now began to pace as he heard what Gandalf had to say. "It seems that it has already begun, old friend," he said, and described what had happened to Gandalf. "It seems as though these men...we using some strange form of magic at least, but weren't very skilled in combat, is that correct?" he asked his two sons.

Aspeth smiled and wrinkled her nose, "Its not all that it is cracked up to be." she said with a laugh. "He will come around." she added, feeling like a broken record.

Orion nodded "Yes, its true." he said somberly.

Falsath nodded in agreement.

Aragorn continued to pace back in forth in front of the three people. "We'll have ton continue to the amount of patrols we make of the surrounding area," he said with a sigh. "And we'll especially have to examine the forest," he said, still pacing. "Orion and Falsath, can you go and talk to the captain of the guard and get that arranged? I've already sent a troop out to patrol the area where you encountered these...beings," he instructed them.

Idril smiled. "Yes, I know. But you know, they always have it in the old stories that my mom used to read to us whenever she'd have a break when we were little," she said with a smile. "Oh, I know he will," she said, noticing that Aspeth was repeating herself a lot lately. "But how long he'll take is the real question," she said, standing. "Well, shall we go for a walk? I still have some pent up energy," she said, shaking out her arms and legs.

Falsath smiled and stood with Orion. As they walked out the door, he shook his head. "Looks like we've stumbled upon something bigger than I thought," he said quietly.

Aragorn looked at Gandalf. "It looks like we may have another war on our hands, but there is no clear sign of what the enemy is doing, I think the best thing to do is to wait it out, and see if anything happens," he said, looking out the window. His hands were clasped behind his back, as the thought.

Gandalf nodded. "This seems to be a new type of enemy...we'll have to proceed carefully, and without any recklessness. We don't know what sort of powers this new enemy may hold," he said, coming to stand next to Aragorn.

Idril stood and walked next to Aspeth. "Well, I think I really need a distraction from all of this..." she said with a smile. "Do we know if your father is having the ball or not?" she asked, wondering if she and Aspeth could make their outfits or just get a design in.

Orion smirked, "As if we need another war." he replied, carefully walking outside, he was hoping that they wouldnt pass Aspeth and Idril becasue the girls would want to know what was happening and Falsath would most likely want to check Aspeth. He rolled his eyes when he saw them, and cast a glance to Falsath.

Aspeth shrugged, "I don't know any more than you do at this point Idril, I guess we will just have to wait it out and see." she suggested, her hand subconciously on her stomach. She had taken to walking like that when she was pregnant with Falcrin and she didn't realize it enough to stop. The funny thing was that whenever she did it, someone, if not everyone around her would ask if she wa feeling allright.

Falsath nodded in agreement. "That's for sure...we've had peace for many years, and most of the orcs have retreated and won't give us trouble again..." he trailed off as he saw Idril and Aspeth. Seeing that Aspeth had her hand over her stomach, he quickly walked up to her. "Are you alright?" he asked her, worry in his eyes.

"Well, maybe..." she trailed off as she saw Orion and Falsath come over. She glared at Orion, then looked away. She didn't want to start an argument, she was just beginning to calm down.

Aspeth looked up at Falsath and smiled comfortingly, "Well I was until you scared me like that." she said, putting her hand on his shoulder, "Why do you ask?" she asked.

Orion kept his eyes ahead on his sister's face and did dare not look at Idril.

Falsath smiled. "Well, you know me, I like to worry about you," he said, kissing her gently. "And also, you keep putting your hand on your stomach," he said, placing his hand gently on top of her's.

Idril leaned forward and whispered in Aspeth's ear. "Why don't you ask Orion about the ball? I can't...otherwise he'll freak out," she said loud enough so that only Aspeth could hear.

Aspeth smiled when she realized that she had her hand on her stomach, "I'm sorry." she said, "It's become a habit I guess." she added, kissing him.

She looked at her brother and smiled, "Have you come to a decision about the ball Orion?" she asked him.

Orion nodded, "We have decided to hold it when mom comes back. Why do you ask?"

"Oh just curious." she replied with a smile.

Falsath shook his head. "Well, you shouldn't worry me like that!" he said with a sigh. "It just seems to be one thing after another these days..." he said, shaking his head. "Well, Orion and I have to go and talk to the head of the guard," he said, smiling. "See you both," he called.

Idril smiled a little at Falsath, still not really being in the mood. She couldn't help but glare a little at Orion as he walked away as well. "Well, that was at least a little helpful...what color do you want to wear?" she asked Aspeth. "I'm thinking an Emerald Green..." she said with a grin. She knew Aspeth would give her grief because Idril always wore that color.

Idril smiled. "Now, why doesn't that surprise me?" she teased as they walked along. "You know what would be fun? If this ball was more of a costume ball, and we all had to wear masks," she said with a grin. "What do you think?" she asked, looking to Aspeth. She noticed that her friend looked a little annoyed. "What's wrong?" she asked, frowning slightly.

Idril smiled a little. "Sorry, we just all care about you," she said, quickly hugging her friend. "As long as you don't mention me, it should come across well," she joked, smiling for the first time. "Well, should we talk to the seamstress about getting our dresses made? She may know more about the ball as well...I would suspect your father would have talked to her to prepare for a mad rush," she said with a grin.

Aspeth nodded, "I know, but it is a bit tedious." she said, nodding, "All right, let's go, nice distraction for you." she added with a smile. She slid her arm through Idrils and smiled. "Lets go then."
