20 years after Harry Potter banished Voldemort from the wizarding world, he comes back with a plan to control Middle Earth. Now it is up to Harry's daughter Joely and a group of our favorite Lord of the Rings characters to stop that from happening.

The day of her graduation from Hogwarts, Joely is sent to Middle Earth, where she befriends King Aragorn and his son, Aerosepth, who is assigned to protect her. But when Aerosepth and Joely fall in love, he is sent away, will they ever see each other again, and will Joely be able to stop Voldemort from taking over the world?

Falsath stared at Aspeth. "You're leaving?" he asked hoarsly. He felt numb, almost like someone had just dumped the coldest river water on top of him. "You can't leave... its not safe out there! We were just attacked, right outside of the castle walls yesterday, and you want to leave?" he asked, his voice in a forced whisper. "Who's going to protect you on this trip?" he asked, crossing his arms.

Idril shook her head. "If they are as powerful as Joely mentioned, we would have noticed something by now," she said, looking straight into Orion's eyes. "They may just be planning what their next move is," she said, looking at Joely. "Or, maybe there's something about this place that lessens their power," she suggested.

Joely nodded. "That's possible, but I really don't know what... I've never heard of anything like that before," she said. She sighed, missing her father and mother. They had experience with this sort of thing, not her. Her own father had fought Voldemort and won... why wasn't he here with her? She put her hand to her head, a headache increasing from a dull throb.

Idril caught the motion. "Okay, time to take you out of this," she said with a small smile. "Once we get you fully healed, we can discuss this more... for now, there's nothing more we can do," she said. "Can you walk? I think you might be more comfortable in my rooms, that way their Highnesses won't have to worry too much and you won't be woken by them," she said, offering a hand to help Joely up.

Aspeth felt her heart sink. She was hoping that he would take this better than he had, but she was wrong. "Falsath." she said softly, placing her hand on his cheek. "Please calm down." She took another breath, feeling as though it was getting hard for her to breathe. "I need to sit down." she added quickly, putting a hand on her head as she looked for a bench.

Orion nodded as Idril talked. He was starting to think of all of the bad things that could happen, even thought they were safe in the castle. "That's probably a good idea." he told her, "In case something might happen, it will be good for you to have her close by."

Falsath sighed. He hadn't meant to get this emotional about it... but his wife just seemed to like to surprise him lately. He walked with her over to a banch and sat down beside her. He took her hand, massaging it as she got a chance to breathe and he got a chance to think. "I know you're worried, but I don't think it would be best for you to go riding... especially a long journey like that!" he said. "And if its just you and some guards..." he shook his head. "I just don't like the sound of it," he told her.

Idril looked up in surprise. Orion sounded like the Orion she had known months ago... not the one she had been arguing with all day. She wasn't sure if he meant good for Joely to have her close, or Idril to have Joely close, but she didn't care. "What? Nervous that they'll come after us?" she teased Orion as she helped Joely out of bed. She shot him a teasing smile before they walked out of the door. "I'll be back to get her clothes...Good night lads," she called, closing the door softly behind them.

Joely looked back to smile at Aero. She wanted to try and wave good-bye, but she was starting to feel really weak. "How long have you known them?" she asked weakly.

Idril smiled. "Well, my parents and I travelled back and forth from Rohan, another country, throughout my childhood. When I was old enough for school, Aspeth, the woman I was talking with earlier, and I were in the same class. We'd been friends before that, but we have been best friends since then," she said with a smile. "So, basically I've known her brothers for just as long... although for awhile it was only through routine teasing," she said with a fond smile.

Joely smiled. "I know what that's like... I have some siblings of my own... both older and younger," she said, laughing weakly.

Aspeth smiled softly as she rested her forehead on his shoulder, enjoying the feeling of him massaging her hands. The way that he babied her was nice at times, it made her feel so very special. "I think that it would be best this way though." she told him, "The Elves are excellent healers, if something were to happen...." she stopped and took a deep breath, "Then they would be able to help the baby, and me as well."

Orion watched as Idril and the girl walked out and looked over at Aero, "I'm going to bed." he said with a sly grin. "Need to be well rested for tomorrow."

Aero nodded as his brother walked out, and realized that Idril left the girls clothes beside the bed, feeling that it wasn't right for her to have to walk all the way back for them, he picked them up and started after the two.

Idril opened the door to her rooms. It was nice, and (as stated earlier) the bedroom had a balcony over their own courtyard. Idril's rooms, when you first entered, had a small common room where she could invite friends to just lounge around. In a small side room, there was an area to prepare food, either from scratch or food that came from the kitchens. Idril also had a spare bedroom other than her own, because friends of hers from Rohan often visited. She helped Joely into the spare room, where the bead was neatly made and an open window let the cool night air in. "I hope this will be comfortable, and if you need anything, I'll be right across," she said with a smile.

Joely smiled when she saw the room. "This is wonderful," she said, looking all around it. She quickly laid down on the bed, her head slowly stopping its painful throb. "That walk took a lot more out of me than I thought... I don't know what's wrong with me," she said with a sigh.

"That I can answer," Idril said with a smile. "You had a horrible gash on your head... I'm not sure how you got it, possibly in the forest, but its healed now, and you just need to rest as it does so," Idril said with a smile.

Flasath nodded slightly, knowing that would be a significant factor. He put his arms around her and thought his own thoughts, allowing his wife to do that same. "I really don't think its a good idea... but I guess I can't stop you," he said with a sigh.

Aero knocked quickly when he reached Idril's door, and waited for her to answer. With his luck if he walked in, he would accidentally see something that he shouldnt.

"Couldn't you come along though?" she asked, reaching out her arm to rest her hand on his shoulder, "Idril wants to come, you know how she is, any chance to be in Rivendale." She picked up her head, "And you have to be there when the baby is born." she added with a small laugh.

Idril heard a knock and stood up from where she was sitting on Joely's bed. "Try to get some sleep, I'll be right outside if you need me," she said with a warm smile. She walked out of the room, closing the door most of the way, only leaving a small crack. Walking over to the door of her rooms, she opened it to see Aero. "Ello Aero, come on in," she said with a smile.

Joely settled down into the soft bed. It wasn't as big as the other one, but it was quite comfortable. She settled her head down on the pillow and sighed in contentment as she slowly drifted off to sleep.

Falsath smiled. "Well, I think with this new threat, I may have to remain here for awhile, and try to help straighten things out... I just hope it doesn't lead to war," he said softly, his voice forlorn. "I will try to come down as soon as I can, how does that sound?" he asked, kissing her forehead. "What about Falcrin? Is he going with you, or remaining here?" he asked her.

Aero chuckled as he walked into Idril's room. "Here." he said, handing her Joely's clothes, "I didnt want you to have to walk all the way back to get them yourself." He looked around the room to make sure that Joely wasnt there. "How is she?"

Aspeth sighed, she knew he wouldn't be able to come with her, but she really wanted him to. "I guess that will have to do." she told him trying not to look disappointed. "But I hope you can at least be there for the birth." she added. "You shouldn't miss it." Falcrin? She hadnt thought of that. "Speaking of our son, we should be getting to bed." she said taking his hand, "I guess he will be coming with us. I can't very well leave him here with all of this going on."

Idril smiled in thanks as she took the clothes. She carefully hung the strange garments on a hook on her wall, before answering. "Thanks, it did save me the trouble... do you want to sit down Aero? I can make us some tea..." she offered, already getting the teapot out. Even if he didn't want any, she knew she was in the mood for some, and then warm water would be left for the next morning. Once she had things settled, she took a seat. "She's doing well... well, as well as I would hope. She was still dizzy, but she's asleep now," she said, her eyes carefully watching Aero's face. "Why the sudden interest?" she asked, raising an eyebrow, a teasing smile on her lips.

Falsath nodded. "Alright, I will do my best," he said, taking her hand and squeezing it gently. "Yes, bed sounds like a good thing, especially after a night like tonight," he said with a sigh. "How do you think the others are getting on? I hope that Orion and Idril aren't waging another war," he said with a small smile.

Aero shrugged innocently. "The worst thing about being the youngest is that no one really tells me anything, so I've taken it upon myself to find out as much as I can." he told her, then he looked down, twiddling his thumbs, "And.... well..... there's this strange pull I have towards the girl, it's like this force that pulls me closer to her." He looked up at Idril with a helpless smile. "I cant stop thinking about her." he confessed.

Aspeth smiled, standing up and taking his hand, "They seemed to be able to remain in the same room when we left, and the castle is not on fire." she observed, crossing her arms as a sudden cool breeze ruffled through her hair. Aspeth was about to turn away, starting to lead him back inside when she got a strange feeling. It shot up her spine and tangled in her chest, and she felt like she might explode. There was a rustling in the trees and she spun around again, her eyes searching the forest.

Idril smiled a secret smile. "I think that pull is called a crush," she said quietly, getting up to remove the pot of water from the fire. She poured out water into two mugs, and handed the mug of tea to Aero. "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone," she said winking at Aero. Because they had basically grown up together, she always felt like Aero was her brother, along with Aspeth (especially) being her sister. It was always fun to tease him, but also fun to be there for him. "So, what was up with Orion? You guys put him in an awfully good mood," she said, taking her seat.

Falsath gave a grim smile. "Not yet... then again, we haven't heard any yelling or fighting yet either, so I think (hope) the worst is over," he said, he face relieved. He put his arms around her when he saw her shiver. "Let's go..." he trailed off when he saw her face. "What is it?" he asked, looking in the same direction, immediately on the alert.

Aero blushed slightly, looking away from Idril as she spoke, it was weird for him to think that he had finally met someone that made him feel that way. "I finally see Falsath and Aspeth in a different light." he added, "Before now I awlays thought that his over protective nature was completely annoying, but now I get it." He looked back to her when she asked about Orion, "I just think he needed a little testosterone or something." he said with a shrug.

"I-I dont know." Aspeth admitted in a soft whisper, "But I got this awful feeling suddenly, like nothing I have ever felt before. An evil that our world has not yet known." she closed her eyes tightly when she didnt see anything in the trees. The wind began to pick up and was twisting her hair all around her face. Aspeth felt her knees suddenly give out, and she started to fall.

Idril blew out shortly. "Yeah..." she said, not really believe him. She smiled at Aero when he talked about Aspeth and Falsath. "Yes... women always dream of true love... and it is always wonderful when it happens. There are rocks along the way, but you know it when it hits you," she said, reclining back on her couch.

Falsath followed her gaze, scanning the woods for anything out of the ordinary. Suddenly, he saw Aspeth begin to fall out of the corner of his eye. As quick as he could, he caught her just before she landed on the ground. "Peth, are you alright... say something," he said, cupping her chin with his hand.

Aspeth tried to speak, but she couldn't. She couldnt move, open her eyes or even whimper. She was walking through a dark creepy forest, towards a bright green light, and then, everything went black.

Idril smiled at him and wrapped her hands around the warmer part of her half filled mug. "Well, I don't think she has a date to the ball...but you never know, a squirrel could have asked her," she teased him, grinning. "Don't worry about it, I'm sure she'll be glad to get out of bed at least... and its not as if you're bad looking," she said, trying to hide her smile.

Falsath lifted Aspeth up off her feet. He looked about worridly, wondering if there was anyone around in order to help him. Seeing no one, he began to walk as quickly to Idrils quarters as he could. "Hold on Peth, hold on!" he said, worry in every fiber of his being.

Aerosepth poked his tongue out at Idril "Yeah, you mock me now." he said, "But someday, you will-" he stopped and turned around, "Did you hear something?" he asked, standing up from his chair, "It sounds like someone in the hall."

Idril laughed. "Yes, I do mock you... you've always been like a brother to me, so I consider it my job!" she said in reply. "I will what?" she asked, before she too stopped and heard a noise. "Yes I did," she said, standing up. She frowned when she discovered she was disarmed. "Get a weapon of some sort... here," she said, tossing a knife onto the chair where he had been sitting. She didn't want to risk tossing it right to him. She took out a knife of her own and placed it in her boot. Quickly she went to the door and opened it. She was surprised to find Falsath with a collapsed Aspeth. "Come in... put her on my bed," she said quietly, opening the door for him all the way.

Falsath smiled gratefully at Idril and nodded a hello to Aerosepth. He walked in and around to Claire's bedroom and gently placed Aspeth on the bed. He was relieved to see that she was still breathing, but it worried him that he couldn't see anything wrong.

Idril closed the door and followed Falsath into the bedroom. "What happened?" she asked, worry creasing her forehead as she checked over her friend.

Falsath retold what had happened and looked at everyone. "What can we do" he asked.

Aero watched Falsath bring his sister into the room and followed mutely. "Did she say anything that specifically stood out?" he asked. He noticed that there was nothing visibly wrong with her and looked over at Idril, "What about the baby?" he asked.

Idril nodded. "I'm checking that now..." she said. She placed her hand on Aspeth's stomach, feeling for any sort of movement. She smiled as she felt a gentle kick against the cloth and skin. "The baby seems to be all right," she said, thinking quickly. After a second, Idril ran over to her closet and thrust open the doors. She pulled out a bag from one of the shelves and then kicked the doors closed behind her again. She went back to the bed and opened the bag. She took out some sweet smelling herbs and then held them out for one of the boys. "The pot is still over the fire, filled with water. Could one of you put this into a cup and pour water into it?" she asked, looking at them.

Falsath frowned in thought. "She shivered, and then looked toward the woods... as if something were there.... when I asked her, she said something like... 'There's an evil our world has not yet known' and then she collapsed. I caught her, but she hasn't spoken or even opened her eyes since then," he said with a frown. He heard what Idril said about the baby and sighed in relief. There was hope... He watched Idril run back and forth like a madwoman. He then took the herbs she handed out. "I'll take care of it," he said, and quickly went into the other room to do as instructed.

Aerosepth wrinkled his forehead as he listened to Falsath. "An evil?" he asked, taking a seat beside the bed, "What do you think that means Idril?" he asked, He was relieved to hear that the baby was okay, but he was still worried about Aspeth, it wasn't like her to do something like this, she was a strong girl. It was scary.

Idril kept working as she listened to the the men talk. As Aero asked her a question, she shrugged. "I would assume it has something to do with Joelly and those Death-things that were here earlier," she said with a frown. "I have a felling that they're not gone... not yet," she said with a shudder.

Falsath came in, carrying the mug. "This smells sweet, I bet it tastes pretty good," Falsath said, trying to lighten the mood.

Idril took the cup from him gently, trying not to spill the hot liquid. "You would think so... but it tastes horrible," she said with a grin. "Luckily, Aspeth is asleep, so she really won't be able to taste it," she said with a small smile. "Can someone hold her up for me, so that I can give her a sip?" she asked, looking at Aero and Falsath.

Falsath nodded. "I'll do it," he said, taking a seat by the bed and proping Aspeth up gently.

Aspeth was slightly aware of a hot liquid filling her insides, it made her tingle all over and then her eyes suddenly flew open, her fingers gripping the sheets on the bed. "What happened?" she croaked.

Aerosepth continued to observe, until Aspeth opened her eyes and then he jumped, "How are you feeling Peth?"

Idril smiled in relief, and resisted the urge to hug her best friend. "You had us worried sick, that's what happened!" she exclaimed, smiling. "Now, you have to finish this... but don't taste it, or else you may not want to eat anything for awhile," she cautioned. After giving the rest of the mug to Aspeth, she set around making real tea for everyone.

Falsath was too overjoyed to speak. But he was finally able to get something out. "You collapsed... I brought you to Idril, and we hoped for the best," he said, hugging her gently. He couldn't stop smiling. "Yes, how are you feeling? How does the baby feel? What happened to you?" he asked her, worry still in his eyes.

Aspeth leaned closer into Falsath's arms and closed her eyes. She didn't know what had happened to her, but she knew that it was scary. "I'm no expert, but I think everything is all right." she said softly. Whatever had happened to her seemed to drain her of all of her energy and all she wanted to do was sleep.

Idril brought in four steaming cups of hot tea. They were the perfect temperature for drinking, so no one would burn themselves. "Here," she said, handing Aspeth a cup first. "This will help you get some of your energy back," she said, smiling. She then handed one to Falsath and Aero and finally took one for herself. "We were so worried about you... but I'm glad you're all right now," she said, taking a seat next to her friend.

Falsath took the tea gently, allowing Aspeth to still lean on him. He was overjoyed to have her back. But, this was one of the reasons he didn't want her to go to Rivendale. He decided not to bring up the subject now, and instead wait until she was fully rested and would see and think clearly.
