20 years after Harry Potter banished Voldemort from the wizarding world, he comes back with a plan to control Middle Earth. Now it is up to Harry's daughter Joely and a group of our favorite Lord of the Rings characters to stop that from happening.

The day of her graduation from Hogwarts, Joely is sent to Middle Earth, where she befriends King Aragorn and his son, Aerosepth, who is assigned to protect her. But when Aerosepth and Joely fall in love, he is sent away, will they ever see each other again, and will Joely be able to stop Voldemort from taking over the world?

Falsath smiled and sat next to her. "That's good...I always worry about you, you know that," he said, brushing a stray lock of hair back from her eyes. "How is the girl?" he asked, nodding over to the girl who still lay on the guest bed.

Idril smiled at Aragorn as he entered. "How is Queen Arwen?" she asked, slight worry in her eyes. "I'm just about to finish the healing that Aspeth already started," she said, going over to the fire to get the pot that was now boiling. Cups were also in the kit that she got from the cook, and she quickly put together some tea for Aspeth. "Here you go," she said, handing it to her with a wink. "I added some sugar, so it shouldn't be bitter," she said with a smile. She walked back over to the fire, close to Aerosepth. "She's too drained...she's exhauseted from the healing," she said with a grimace. "She doesn't have the energy to snap at him," she said with a smile. She gathered all of her supplied and went to sit by the girl's head, then began to work.

Aerosepth nodded quickly, following Idril back to the girl's side, "How do you think she wil heal?" he asked, not looking away from the gash on the girls head.

Aspeth smiled and took his hand, kissing him softly before she took a sip of her tea, "I know." she said, resting her head on his shoulder. "I'm not sure... It's going to be a close one, we will have to stay up with her all night." she said.

Idril sighed. "Well, if I am quick enough, she should heal just fine and be conscious by morning," she said with a small smile. "It just won't be pretty..." she said as she threaded her needle. She spread out a towel under the girl's head and then wet a second one. Slowly, she cleaned out the partially healed wound on the girl's head. Then, she took the paste she had prepared that was composed of various herbs that the cook had given her. After that was finished, she began to stitch up the wound. "You may want to look away from this Aero," she said, grinning at the use of his nickname.

Falsath gently stroked Aspeth's hair. "Well, then I guess the soup that we ordered will do wonders," he said with a grin. "Hello Father," he said as he saw Aragorn.

Aragorn smiled at Idril. "She's fine, she's just resting right now...she'll be fine in the morning," he said with a grin. "Hello Falsath, how are you both doing?" he asked, noticing how white Aspeth looked.

Aerosepth shook his head, "I've got a strong stomach." he said, but his smirk slipped when she started, you dont think that she can feel that do you?" he asked, feeling worried as he held her hand tightly.

Aspeth smiled at her Father, "I dont know about poor Falsath, but I'm doing just fine." she said, which was not a complete lie, but she didnt want anyone to treat her differently.

Idril shook her head. "Part of the herbs I put in numb the area I'm working with...also, you're sister's healing also helps to numb any pain until it wears off," Idril explained, working quickly but carefully. She didn't say much after that, averting all of her concentration to her healing work. She was glad that she had been taught different healing techniques...some even from Aragorn. She thought back to the story that her mother, Eoywn, had told her, like how Aragorn had healed her after the battle at Minas Tirith.

Falsath chuckled. "I'm doing just fine," he said, putting his arm around Aspeth. He looked over at Idril and Aerosepth. "Looks like they're having a good time over there," he said sarcastically.

Aragorn smiled, catching a wiff of the herbs in Aspeth's tea. They were all good for healing and restoring strength. "I'm guessing Idril gave you that," he said with a smile. He turned and walked over to where Idril was on the bed, and went on the opposite side. Taking the bowl of the paste from the place next to her, he began to spread the dull green paste over the places that Idril had stitched. "You are putting those skills to good use," he said to Idril, smiling slightly.

Idril smiled. "Well, I had a wonderful teacher," she said as she finished up. She watched as Aragorn finished putting the salve on the girl's stitched up wound. "That should do it...any advice?" she asked Aragorn.

The king shook his head. "None, in fact, I like how you put some of the salve down before stitching it up...that should help it heal faster," he said, studying the work.

Falsath laughed. "Master of both the sword and the needle...Orion should watch before he gets you angry again," he said, still chuckling.

Aspeth looked away from her tea at the sound of her brother's name. She hadn't seen him since dinner, "Speaking of Orion, does anyone know where he went?" she asked, her eyes searching over Idril.

Aerosepth smiled in greeting to his father, as he let go of the girls hand and sat down on a hair beside the bed, "I hope she wakes up soon, you know, because we need some answers."

Idril looked up hearing Orion's name. Seeing Aspeth's look, she shrugged. "How should I know...and I really don't care, unless he's looking for an apology, he and I won't be saying very much to each other," Idril said coldly, her temper flickering in her eyes. Idril's eyes softened as she heard Aerosepth's question. "She probably won't wake for another hour or so...and her body needs the rest that she's getting now," she said, exhaustion starting to show in her face.

Aragorn nodded. "If you look at the girl's face now, you'll see that it has relaxed. That indicates that she is no longer unconscious but in more of a sleeping restoration process," he said, smiling. "And you would know if you had paid attention to some of those lessons I gave you when you were younger," he said with a grin, laughter dancing in his eyes.

Joely no longer felt as if she were swimming through darkness. It was as if a hand had come down and pulled her out of the endless dark pit. Now, although she could only see darkness, she felt warmth spreading through her body, banishing the coldness that had tried to consume her. Coldness was still concentrated on one part of her head. She corrected herself, it was more cool then cold. She sighed, and fell into a dreamless sleep.

"The both of you could benefit from an apology." Aspeth shot back, her words felt like venom in her mouth, bringing her hand to her forehead, she sighed, "I'm sorry I dont know why I am acting like this."

Aerosepth continued to watch the girl, his eyes were soft as he thought of hw beautiful she was. It had hurt him before to see her in pain, but now that her face had softened, he felt relief.

Idril chose not to say anything as she heard what Aspeth said. Her anger, however, danced in her eyes like the flames of a fire. "He was the one who insulted me...not I to him," she said quietly.

Falsath sighed. "Now I think this palace has had quite enough bickering over the past couple days...we are all just tired and need some rest," he said putting a hand on his wife's shoulder. Suddenly, he heard a knock on the door. Getting up, he went to open it, revealing a servant boy with a pot of steaming soup and a fair amount of bowls. "Thanks," he said, and the boy soon left.

Aragorn sighed. "Really, the palace has had quite enough drama. You and Orion have both insulted each other...you hurt his pride," he said when Idril was about to protest. "At least for what I witnessed...and Aspeth and Falseth...you two have been at each other's throats as well. I know Aspeth is pregnant, and your mother was a little waspish too when she had you three, but that doesn't mean you have to bicker. And Falsath...don't worry so much about Aspeth, she can fend for herself, and her friends have her in good hands," he said, shooting a wink at Idril.

Aerosepth smirked, glad for once that he was not in the middle of the squabble. Content with that knowledge, he sat back and watched the scene.

Aspeth sighed, her cheeks burning, she had not meant to snap at Idril, it just happened. She listened half heartedly at her father, hearing him mention something about her being pregnant, and brought her hand to her still flat stomach.

"Well Father, what are we going to do with the girl when she wakes up?" he asked.

Aragorn sighed, not having meant to lecture everyone so much. Looking over to Aerosepth, he smiled slightly. "Well, once she awakes, we'll find out whether she is a threat or not. That will then determine what we do next..." he said, trailing off as he thought about the possibilities.

Idril sighed and accepted a bowl of soup from Falsath. When Aragorn was distracted by Aerosepth, she came over to sit by Aspeth's feet. She settled her green riding skirt around her so that it was the most comfortable, and then looked up at her friend. "I didn't mean to snap back...I have a horrible temper, and things have just been bad with Orion these days," she said quietly, so that only Aspeth could hear. "Anytime I try to make amends, he only makes the wound deeper, and I couldn't stand it anymore," she said with a sigh, looking into the murky depths of her soup.

Falsath quickly handed out the bowls, and kept one for himself. After he was finished, he placed the soup close to the fireplace so that it would remain at a good temperature without losing all of its moisture. He came back over and took a chair that was close to Aspeth. He had listened carefully to Aragorn and was contemplating his words as he ate his soup.

Aspeth smiled, her eyes on the rising sun, "My brother is stubborn." she said with a laugh, "It runs in the family." she added, tossing a glance at her father.

Aerosepth nodded, looking from his father to the girl, "When is the ball?" he asked, seemingly lost in thought.,

Aragorn smiled at Aerosepth. "Why? Excited?" he asked with a chuckle. "You that it is mainly for your brother and your mother," he said with a smile. "It is tomorrow night...and it should be very interesting," he said, glancing down at the girl that lay on the spare bed.

Idril smiled. "Oh really? I hadn't noticed!" she said, laughing.

Joely groaned. She slowly emerged from her sleep and felt as if she had fallen down the steps of Hogwarts like she had in her first year. Well, more like she tripped on the false step. She smiled slightly at the memory as her eyes slowly fluttered open. From the sounds around her, it sounded like she had reached the party, although the sounds weren't familiar. Distant relatives, she thought. Her hands felt like lead as she brought them up to rub her eyes.

Idril caught the sight of movement out of the corner of her eye. Turning quickly, she watched as the girl slowly woke up. "Everyone..." she said, standing up and placing her soup on the closest table.

Joely rubbed her eyes, and suddenly realized the room had gone quiet. "Well, I've finally arrived...sorry I'm late, I couldn't find..." she turned her head slowly, feeling as though she were still in a dream. Her eyes opened wide as she realized she knew none of these people and didn't know where she was. "What's going on? Where am I? Why can I barely move?" she demanded, fear gripping her. These didn't look like deatheaters, but she would give it her all if they were.

Aspeth looked over at the girl as she sat up quickly, demanding where she was, she looked helplessly to Idril and her father, wondering who would be the best to answer her.

Aerosepth sat back when the girl suddnely woke up. "Er-" he started, looking shocked, "You're in Gondor."

"Gondor? Like the bird?" Joely said, thorougly confused now. "What country is this...time?" she asked, slowly searching her pockets for her wand. She wasn't sure that these people were bad, but she wasn't sure whether they were good either.

Idril frowned slightly. "We're in Gondor, in the city of Minas Tirith, in Middle Earth...at the start of the new age," she said, confusion on her face.

"Middle Earth? Oh dear...sorry, but I have no clue where that is," Joely said, feeling very dizzy. She collapsed back down onto the bed.

Aragorn walked up in two strides. "You've had a deep wound to your head and you need to relax. We won't hurt you as long as you don't hurt us..." he told her calmly, scanning her eyes.

Joely nodded and slowly drifted back to being unconscious.

Aerosepth looked at his father as the girl fell back against the bed. "Er- is she going to be okay?" he asked, slightly paranoid.

Aspeth chuckled, taking in the look on her brothers face, "She will be fine, she just needs to sleep off the healing." she said, looking over to Idril, "Next time she wakes up, we should try to get her to eat, maybe even change from those muddy clothes."

Idril nodded in agreement with Aspeth. "Yes, she'll be fine...what's with the sudden worry, Aero?" she asked, grinning at him.

Aragorn smiled, shaking his head. "Well, I think that is enough excitement for me...I'll be in the bedroom, let me know if you need anything," he said, grinning as he walked into the bedroom.

Idril sighed as she looked at their group. Then she turned to Aspeth. "Do you think we should get her out of the wet and muddy things now? I should have thought of this earlier, but it would allow her body to concentrate on healing rather than warming her up," she said with shrug. "Of course, that means that you boys will have to leave the room," she said, raising an eyebrow at Aerosepth and Falsath.

Falsath gaped at Idril. "You dare to imply that I would look! I have the most beautiful wife in the world...I look at no other woman that way," he said, crossing his arms.

Aerosepth shrugged "No reason." he said, standing up quickly, slightly blushing, as he turned his face away from Idril when she mentioned changing the girls clothes.

Aspeth smiled, standing beside him she leaned into his chest and hugged him, pressing a kiss to his lips, "Honey, the poor girl is going to be embarrased enough knowing that someone she doesnt know changed her clothes, she'll be even more embarrased if she knew you were in here, even if you didnt look." she said, running her fingers through his hair.

Idril smiled as she watched the two men. "Alright, out you go," Idril said, pointing to the door. "We'll give a knock on it, or if you wander off, leave it open a crack so that you'll know we're finished," she said with a smile.

Falsath nodded. "Alright, I agree with that," he said to Aspeth. He ran his fingers through Aspeth's hair and then walked toward the door. He shot Idril a look, although he really didn't mean it, and walked out of the room. He waited calmly for Aerosepth.

Aerosepth rushed out of the room, passing a quick smile to Aspeth and Idril. "We'll be right outside." he said, before closing the dorr, but leaving it open the fracture of an inch. In the hall, he ran his fingers through his hair with a sigh. "So..." he started, looking to Falsath.

Aspeth smiled at the men as they walked out, then she turned to Idril, looking down at the girl. "She is taller than me Idril, my clothes wont do her any good." she observed, rubbing her forehead.

Idril studied the girl as well. "She looks like she's similar to my height...we could try one of my dresses..." she said, looking to Aspeth to see if she agreed. "Either that, or we could borrow one of your mom's old dresses...does she still have that closet of stuff that she doesn't wear anymore? The one that we used to play with when we were younger?" she asked, thinking.

Falsath sighed and then smiled at Aerosepth. "Do you want to see if we can find Orion...he might not be happy if we delay till morning to tell him what happened tonight," Falsath suggested. He knew from his wife taking awhile to get ready in the mornings that it might be awhile before the women were done.

Aspeth smiled, walking across the room to another closet where her mother kept the dresses they used to play in. "Perfect." she said, pulling one of them out. "The poor girl is going to be so embarrased." she said, feeling bad, she knew if it were her on that bed, she would be so red. "Let's do this fast."

"I think he was in his rooms." Aerosepth said, stroking his chin, "Do you wanna go look for him?" he asked, starting to walk away.

Falsath nodded. "Sounds good...I don't want it to be too awkward," he said with a grimace. "So, what were you up to this afternoon?" he asked as they walked together.

Idril smiled as she saw the dress. "Its wonderful! I think she'll like it," she said, seeing a similar shade of the color under the cloak that the girl was wearing. "Well, I think she'll thank us for it once we explain," she said with a shrug. "And besides, it shows a friendly act...she was awfully wary of us," she said, making a face. "We'll just have to see how she reacts," she said, wincing at the idea of the task before them.

Aero shrugged, "We were just riding. I was going to ask you to come along, but for some reason Peth wouldnt let me." he said wrinkling his nose. "She is too territorial sometimes."

Aspeth smiled and quickly helped Idril change the girls dress, taking the muddy party dress in her arms, she called for one of the maids and requested her to wash it and lay it out in the room set aside for the girl. "There." she said, "Now she will be more comfortable at least."

Idril nodded. "Yes, and some of her color is coming back to her cheeks...that's always a good sign!" she said, smiling. "I guess I should let the boys in," she said with a smile. She went out into the hall, but didn't see either of them. She left the door mostly open, so that they would know it was safe. "They've gone off... who knows where," she said with a laugh. "So, finally some girl time," she said, laughing as she sat down onto a chair.

Falsath laughed. "Well, I have to admit I don't mind it very much," he said with a grin. The reached Orion's rooms, and he knocked on the door. "Let's just hope he'll be in a better mood than he was at dinner," Falsath said quietly.
