"Alex- please, can we go talk?" she asked him, looking up into his eyes. Alannah was in love with him- she knew she really, really was. She couldn't just let this go. She couldn't. She watched him, waiting for his response, before saying. "Do you... why can't we try? You told me you liked me and now..." she said, sighing- she knew she'd well up with tears soon. She tried to smile up at him- "I really, really like you Alexander. Really." she said quietly.

Rose nodded, definitely she said as she carried on drawing, adding in a hook nose of the picture, yeah I idolised it on Medusa she nodded, it would of been funny but at that current moment in time she couldn't laugh at all. Really? She asked, raising an eyebrow, I saw myself more on the streets of diagon alley she said, actually laughing this time. She shrugged, been better she said, bowing her head back over her work, you?

Cindy smiled and watched her finish her drawing, "Diagon Alley or the carnival....they are both fun," she said with a shrug, she sighed as she heard Rose, "I'd be a bit better if we weren't stuck in this cabin with Albus.....and everyone else." She ran a hand through her hair and looked at the picture of Scorpius, she laughed lightly.

Roxanne sat in the corner for what seemed like hours waiting for Lily to emerge. But she never did so Roxy got over it. Lily could throw her tantrum all she wanted, but quite frankly Roxanne was too old to deal with it.

Pulling out her wand she began to conjure small birds in the air. She had them fly and flit about until Rose and Cindy caught her eye. They were talking in low voices over a piece of paper that Rose was drawing on.

This sight made Roxanne sad. When she had attended Hogwarts she was very close to her younger cousin. They did everything together and Roxanne saw her as her little sister. But Roxanne graduated and got responsibilities that did not warrant much down time with her cousin. They had grown apart to the point where Rose did not even tell her anything anymore. For god's sake, she told Lily, little Lily, about her problems with Scorpius.

Who was she to complain though? She and Rose where three years apart and in school that doesn't seem like much, but when you compare a teenager still in Hogwarts to an Auror there was a difference.

Roxanne looked down at her wand and sighed. When the snow had fallen Roxanne had gone in the other room and tried everything she knew to get out. The problem was they were under some serious mounds of snow. She could just apparate out, but her side along apparation would only allow three people to travel with her. The rest were under age and could not escape. Besides if she apparated out there was no guarantee she would be able to find her way back. Apparation was tricky. So she had to sit here with all of her family and others waiting to be rescued. This was not Roxanne's style at all.

Roxanne continued to watch Rose and Cindy remembering when things were simple between the two of them.

Teddy glanced at Roxanne. He ran his hand through his hair. He couldn't believe what he had done. He felt like such an idiot. Ugh. Teddy glanced over at Cindy and Rose. It seemed liked he wasn't the only one with a problem. And now they were stuck in this stupid house! Teddy was more than upset. He missed his best friend and basically ruined his chances with her.

Victoire slumped down in a corner, crossing her arms over her chest and glancing from Roxane to Teddy. She was still angry, as angry as she'd ever been, but she missed them. BOTH of them. Sure, she and Roxane had never been super close, but they were family, and it was terrible to fight with family this way.

And Teddy, Teddy was her best friend. And she missed him a lot too. Maybe she was over reacting, but she didn't FEEL like she had. She was hurt, really hurt, and couldn't place WHY his flirtation gave her that feeling.

Roxanne looked over at her younger, beautiful cousin and back to Teddy. She hated to sound like a stupid teenager, but it wasn't fair. Victoire had always been the most beautiful and most sought after out of all of her cousins. Every boy in the world was at her fingertips. And yet she had fallen for Teddy. It wasn't that Roxanne blamed her at all. But truth be told she was hurt.

Being the rough and tough girl had always left Roxanne boy-less. When she was in Hogwarts she had one boyfriend who ended up using her to get to her younger cousin- Rose. Of course Rose never knew but the hurt was still there. And now Teddy, she had had feelings for him since they were children, was choosing his cousin after they had kissed. And everyone was mad at her. How was it her fault? Should she just not care at all? Be like her father who after he had lost his brother just went through the motions? Everyone just assumed she was to blame and honestly she was getting to the point where she was starting to believe it.

Pulling herself over to Victoire she said, "Look I'm sorry... for everything that you think I wronged you about. Your my baby cousin and I don't want to be like Lily and fight with everyone."

Sarah woke up with a start from her long, unsuspected nap on the couch. She must have fallen asleep while waiting for the perfect swoop-in moment! She wiped her bleary eyes, then looked down at her hands. She saw a black smear on them, and quickly realized what it was. MASCARA SMUDGE!

She ran to the bathroom with her hands covering her eyes, bumping into people all the way there. She knew she probably looked stupid, but she would've looked MORE stupid if she had been a sprinting raccoon!

Victoire almost felt like eyes were upon her, but she didn't look up to see if she was correct. She was thinking, in her own little bubble at the moment.

Why WAS she so upset? With the veela blood in her, Victoire could have anyguy she wanted, and in some ways, it was hard. She didn't WANT the losers coming after her, she wanted a good solid guy who would actually care about her. And in some ways, she found that in Teddy. As her best friend.

So why was it such a betrayal to her that he kissed her cousin? It wasn't like they were a couple, hell, Victoire didn't even think she cared for him that way. But...well, wouldn't that be the reason she was reacting the way she did? Wouldn't that explain she was so hurt? And so angry at Roxane? It wasn't HER fault Teddy was attracted to her and not Victoire, and it's not like she could have known Victoire's feelings, when she herself hadn't even known.

Interrupted from her thoughts when her cousin approached, Victoire pushed herself up from crouching position, shaking her head slightly, "No Roxane...You shouldn't be sorry. I...well, I should. I'm the one whose been acting like a spoilt brat. You didn't do anything to deserve such treatment." If Teddy was interested in her, Teddy was interested in her, it didn't mean it had to affect Victoire's relationships with them both.

Right?

When Victoire responded she looked over at Teddy and then said to her cousin, "He likes you. He's always liked you. And I never meant anything to him. If you want him... he's yours." It was the hardest four sentences she had ever said in her life. But they were all said in truth.

Roxanne was never meant to be the girl who wore the wedding gown and got swooned over. She was never meant to get a happy ending. And she had known that for quite some time. It did not bother her as much as it made her sad. Victoire would grow old presumably with Teddy have fat, cute babies who would slim out to be gorgeous and have the world at their disposal. Again, that wasn't Victoire's fault. It just was what it was.

"Look, I'm sorry about what happened between the two of us with Teddy. I knew that he had liked you when we... well I'm sorry. I knew then as I know now that I am not like you Victoire and you deserve some happiness."

Alannah sat down in a nearby chair- wondering if anyone would even notice she was there. Why wouldn't they though?! She was stunning- if only Alex was noticing that- then life would be a lot easier for her right then!

She sighed and watched what was going on- pulling up her legs onto the chair and playing with her blonde waves absent mindedly. She pulled out her make up bag and started on that.

While Sarah was in the bathroom, she had a major epiphany. As she tried and failed for the 509438760921837056273 time to draw a perfectly straight line of charcoal eyeliner on her upper lid, she got fed up and threw the tube across the room. It bounced off the wall and landed in the trash, and at that moment, she realized that Alex was just a boy and that this was not a reason to make enemies with Alannah!

What a mature, responsible, adult-like thing for her to think of. Of course, she knew, deep down, that Alex was really in love with her and that he was just too kind to make Alannah this upset, but pshhhhft. She could forgive him for that! Feeling as though she were a knew person, she wiped off the rest of her makeup, stepped outside the door, flashed a smile at Alex, and sat down across from Alannah.

"Hey. Sorry for being such an annoying butt in the kitchen. I was just kind of tired," she said, apologetically.

Alannah looked up from her compact mirror at Sarah, oh, so she's decided to be nice to her now! Let's guess Alex is somewhere in the room, Alannah looked over and noticed him, oh what a suprise- seriously, why was Alex stringing Sarah along like this? She knew he was in love with her, so why is Sarah still in the picture after all of this. She felt real bad for Sarah.

She snapped shut the mirror and shoved it back into her make up bag, she looked back up and smiled at her as best she could. "It's cool" she said pretty bluntly- Sarah hadn't made the effort earlier, so the only reason Alannah could think that she was doing it now for was Alex. And Alex was soon to be Alannah's- well, hopefully- and Sarah should just give up and walk away.

She pulled out her lipstick and expertly applied her trademark bright pink pout. "So... I guess we're stuck here..." she said, sighing deeply. She was still constantly on the verge of tears about Alex- why couldn't he just make up his mind or something- why was he stringing them both along like this? It was beginning to give her a headache.

Her Daddy was a rock star for goodness sake, and yet she still couldn't get the guy she loved?!

She smiled her dazzling 100 watt smile at Sarah again- "How are you... anyways?" she asked kindly, trying to strike up some kind of conversation.

Sarah watched as Alannah applied perfect lipstick. Without a mirror?!?! Secretly, Sarah was kind of in awe. She could barely apply lipstick with a mirror!

"Yeah. I just hope it gets cleared out soon. This kind of sucks. I'm good, I guess. How about you?" she asked, politely. She looked toward the snow covered windows and willed it to melt. She felt so desperate to get out that she even considered attempting to melt the snow with her laser-beam eyes. *coughIfshehadsomecough* But, that wouldn't be very attractive would it? OR, maybe Alex would be impressed! Hmm... tough decision.

Alannah pulled out her eyeliner pen and her compact, carefully drawing on her slick cat eye look- perfect. She threw them back into the bag and looked at Sarah- "Oh, i'm alright. Freezing though!" she laughed, pulling her cardigan further around her- she'd changed into some skinny jeans- so at least she didn't have those teenytiny shorts on anymore. "I like snow, but not when you get trapped by it!" she said, sighing, wondering if they'd ever get out of there!

Maybe she should try and make friends with Sarah- she hated having enemies, and without Alex in the equation they actually got on okay.

"And, If the snow keeps us in for much longer, i'm going to miss Daddy's first show in a couple months." she said- kinda annoyed about that. She loved watching her Dad's sell out concerts with his band, Killer Dreams- and she hated missing them.
Everyone loved her Dad- he was handsome, talented- and he was an amazing guitarist and singer.

"But if we're out on time, you should come... it'll be fun- and of course, I get the best seats in the house." she said with another of her trademark smiles, deciding to invite Sarah along.

Yeah, Rose said distractedly, it would, but she'd prefer the freedom of Diagon Alley, where she could be where she wanted, but there was still freedom with the carnival. Her mother would be pleased. Of course. She rolled her eyes, her mother had high aspirations for her. Too high. Yeah, yeah she nodded, seeing that she had seen her black humour in her drawings. Oh yeah. Black humor. Major black

Rose looked up as she saw Rox look at her, what? she shot back at her, she and Roxy had just grown apart, she didn't talk to her. Not anymore, she was always looked down apon by Roxie and she couldn't stand that. That was why they wern't friends any more

Victoire eyed her cousin, shaking her head slightly, looking from her cousin to Teddy and back. "Rox...he's my best friend...I...I don't think he's interested like that. But I appreciate it." And she did, that must have been hard for her to say. Not being able to resist the temptation, Victoire gave her cousin a hug, squeezing her slightly.. "Maybe we should just let him make a move. And whatever happens...happens. We be happy for each other way. No guy, not even Mr. Theodore Lupin, is going to break our family up again. Deal?" Because Toire was thoroughly convinced she was just his best friend, and she wasn't losing the two of them because of petty jealousy.

Even if it was over the most amazing guy.

"Don't be sorry. You kissed, so what? I'm the idiot for getting so worked up over it. I was completely ridiculous. I had no romantic claim over Teddy, I still don't. Our relationship has always been purely platonic. In some ways...well, I should be thanking you. But I can't, because I'm sorry that in all this, when I was thinking only of myself, YOU got hurt as well. I'm sorry Roxy." And then from another look from cousin to best friend, Victoire frustradly ran a hand through her hair.

"And I think...it's time I make an apology to someone else as well...We okay?" But she didn't wait for a response, she through a smile at her cousin before tentavily approaching her best friend. "Teddy?"

Almost as if on cue, Sarah shivered. She was wearing heavy flannel pants and a faded Michigan Wolverines sweatshirt, along with Uggs and a hat, but she was still freezing! "Ohmygosh, me too!," she managed to say as her teeth involuntarily chattered. "I think I have super thin blood or something, because it's not this cold!" She grinned at Alannah.

Alannah then said something about her father. A show? Hmm... what could she mean? OH WAIT! Sarah remembered! Alannah's dad was a famous singer! HOW could she forget? That was insanely cool!

"Wow, for real? That would be absolutely amazing! I love Killer Dreams!" Sarah replied, enthusiastically. She grinned at Alannah. How lucky was she?! "So what's it like to have a famous father?" she asked, genuinely interested. Her father worked at Gringotts. What a normal, boring job. Imagine having a father who was a singer in a famous rock band! Suddenly, she realized she had gone almost 10 minutes trapped inside a house with Alex without even acknowledging that he was in the room! Wow!

Alannah smiled at Sarah, noticing her Uggs- she gestured that she'd be a second before she went and grabbed some of her own to put on- ooh that was so much better.

"What's it like having a famous dad? Well, it's awesome! But... but, it does have it's downsides... sometimes, I wish he was just... a normal dad! Y'know- normal average job, so i'd actually be able to see him once in a blue moon!" she laughed, smiling at Sarah again- "I appreciate everything that he's gotten for me, and our family... but, it just sucks sometimes." she admitted, sighing and looking at Sarah. "What do your parents do?" she asked with another, actually... genuine grin! Whoa, was she actually, really having a genuine, friendly concersation with Sarah- were they actually becoming friends? This would be... could be good! Maybe friendship was better than fighting over Alex, but she just would never be able to let go of these feelings for him- he had to just talk to them both, or let them both go.

Teddy had been staring at, well nothing really, when he heard the oh so familiar voice of his best friend. "Victoire!" He turned to face her. He gave a small smile. It was good to see her without her seeming angry.

"Vic, look I'm really sorry! I never ever meant to hurt you in anyway. I did something crazy and stupid and I'm sooooo sorry!" Teddy knew he was rambling but he wanted to get everything of his chest. "I never truely had feelings for Roxanne. I only had feeling for my best and truest friend."

Roxanne watched the two talk from afar. She was sad to see Teddy speak of her like she was nothing. Only Victoire mattered, but she knew that somewhere deep down. She would never be anything to anyone. It was the role she played in every relationship... second best.

Looking at Teddy she sighed. He was still angry at her for his choice to kiss her. He led her on and he got her cousin mad at her. Although she knew deep down that it was his fault every last piece of it she could not help but feel responsible. Because, well, she always was.

Victoire scuffed her shoes on the ground awkwardly, too ashamed of her actions to even look up at her best friend. But when she heard the excitement in his voice she glanced up, focusing in on his face before she gave him a hug. "I'm sorry Ted. I've been a complete and irrational....Diva." That was a good word to describe her ridiculousness over the entire situation.

Pulling back she shook her head, "No Ted, you don't need to apologize. I was stupid. I mean...I don't have any claim on you. It wasn't my place to get so upset in the first place...I don't know why I did it." Well she DIDN'T know why, now she did. "It wasn't crazy and stupid, you kissed a pretty, smart, funny girl. I shouldn't have been mad, I should have been trying to be HAPPY for you and Rox." Not being a total JERKKKK, like she had.

And then her breath caught, hearing him, and she watched him. "What?" Her? He liked HER!? But...weren't they just best friends?
