It was nearing the end of the Summer of 2062. Naturally, one of the busiest days for Diagon Alley, with the many witches and wizards roaming around to collect their new school supplies and everything. This was the first time for Javy, who remained quiet throughout it all.

"Why don't you get yourself some nice robes to help you fit in more." His mother would gently suggest, before bestowing the few money they had. Javy knew better than to argue, since it wasn't a regular occurrence for him to have money to spend. "Your father and I will be waiting back at the Pub when you're ready to go." She last said before he was left alone.. alone in front of Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions. It was literally only a week ago that he had to hear all about being a wizard and how different of a life he'll have than his muggle family. Lucky him.. supposedly.

Pocketing his money, since he found the idea of holding it out in front of others to be stupid and just asking to be robbed. He was in no rush to go in just yet, instead taking in all the shops surrounding him. Javy was going to need to get use to the area eventually, after all. So standing around to loiter he did.

YEAH, man. INK. It was BORING. Piers sighed. Oh well. He took a sip of his pumpkin juice while Javy talked about what he wanted to do next? "Clothes?" he asked. "What'ya wanna do with that?" Did he want to MAKE clothes? Or just, like, change the color of them or something?

Piers peered over at the newspaper Javy had and listened to what he said. Oh, yeah, some cool witches and wizards were muggleborns too. And they were FAMOUS. "See, I told you you were cool." He grinned at his friend from across the table. At the mention of a napkin, Piers looked at this now slightly dirty pants... and shrugged. "Oh well." His mum wasn't here to tell him to use it, so he didn't really care. Ha. At least he showered and stuff!

The fourteen year old Javy was feeling content today. He laid over on his stomach on the grass outside. It was his favorite area where a lot of trees circled around. The best part of it was how secluded it was without it being in the forbidden forest. No one knew this spot, except four people and was keeping it that way.

Flipping through the pages of the book, his drank in the information on the pages. It was for his new class. Care of Magical Creatures. Now that he was a third year he could take electives in addition to his core classes. The chance to play with the animals while outside? It was a no brainer to Javy whether to take it or not.

Boy, did Piers have NEWS to SHARE. And there was only one person to share it with. Well, there were a lot, but Javy had to be the first to know, of course. So he went to the one place he knew where to find him. Out on the grounds, in the secluded little grassy area where he always was.

His usually swagger was replaced by jogging as the thirteen year old neared the general area. Spotting Javy with a book (naturally), Piers jumped over the body of his best friend and plopped down on the grass next to him.

"Guess what." Do it, guess.

The more pages Javy flipped over, the more intrigued and somewhat disgruntled he felt. He was on the dark creatures side and some of the pictures showcasing the victims were the equivalent to a muggle's view on a train wreck. A breeze flew over him suddenly as his curls flowed with the wind momentarily before he could sense a solid object land near him.

"Hello Piers.." Not looking up until he told him to guess, making him glance up to see his excited look. "You're pregnant.." Shrugging, "I don't know, tell me." He even bookmarked his book before closing it to show he was interested in finding out now.

HAHA. So funny, Javy. Aw, he wasn't even going to give a real guess? Piers was mildly disappointed at his friend's measly attempt, but he was in too good of a mood to wait and demand a better guess at the moment.

"I've just snogged Sally Van Straten." Piers grinned from ear to ear. If Javy knew anything, he HAD to know that Sally van Straten was the CUTEST girl in third year. She had long blonde hair and ALL the boys wanted to snog her. [b]"I've got myself a girlfriend. A REAL ONE. The FIRST one EVER. He was already ahead of the rest of his house, too. You know, if you counted a sloppy, wet kiss a proper snog. A thirteen year old boy did, though.

Javy blinked. Sally Van Straten. He knew of her and her popularity, so to speak. Curiously though, "Really? How was it?" After all, once you kiss and tell you better add explain to that rule. She was easy on the eyes, but not so much on the ears in his opinion. A little too materialistic for his taste. Wait, what? Piersie got a girlfriend now?

"Oh.. so you're dating her?" He was a little surprised. The thought of dating didn't cross his own mind with all the fun he already had. But all of a sudden, he wanted to have a girlfriend too. It was a strange yet happy feeling that they would share another thing in common. He smiled at this new thought before clapping his shoulder, "That's great Piersie. Congratulations."

That's what being boyfriend and girlfriend meant, right? It also meant he could copy her homework and stuff too.

"Yup. Sure am." Piers kicked his legs out from under him and flattened himself on the ground beside his best friend. "What are you reading THIS time?" Something probably boring. Again.

Magical Serpents? Piers refrained from snorting. He found much of what Javy read to be boring. Actually, he found most reading in general boring. But he wasn't one to laugh at his friend. Tease him occasionally, of course, but not make fun of his interests. Piers peered over Javy's shoulder to look at the photos of the serpents totally destroying their prey. "Wicked," he said with a small grin.

That grin soon faded and quickly turned into a rather confused expression. "Take her? Who says I'm taking her anywhere?" Why would he take his girlfriend anywhere when they could just..... not... go anywhere?

His head slowly looked right up at him, one of his eyebrows pushing upward. Really? Looks like he'll have to spell it out for him. "..She might want to go out sometimes too don't you think? Like a date, perhaps." Bah, he didn't feel like poking fun at his friend's intelligence again today. "There are some great places to be alone outside of the castle like the candy shop at Hogsmeade or the Astronomy tower or.." Suddenly it hit him, "Or.. well, you know what I mean."

Blinking. Why was he feeling so inclined to help him? He usually enjoyed seeing and hearing him make his own mistakes beforehand. "So.. how'd it happen? You and Sally getting to be on snogging terms." He was curious, after all.

Well, that answered his own thoughts, given his expression. Javier nodded in his oh-so-patient manner. "Mhmm.." Why must he always point his good friend in the right direction? Oh right, cause he would do the same.

"Too bad you just did.." Tsk, tsk. Wooing techniques? His face turned into that quivocal-don't-know-whether-to-laugh-or-look-angry-expression. "That's not what I was wanting know." Whatever, he waved off that wink. "I got other more important things to worry over than dating." Picking up his book to get back to his section. Hmph.
