On Christmas holidays, Helena decided to head back to her grandparents neighborhood in Bulgaria, only to find that they had perished a few weeks before in a car accident.

But they left her their house and everything in it. So now, she's working on fixing up the place on her own, cleaning and renovating the old mostly.

The two-story Victorian is high-end, made with the finest cut wood, polished to perfection. It's quite large - a grand entry way, parlor, library, kitchen, and dining room on the first floor and five bedrooms and two bathrooms on the second - but she's loving having her own place.

Helena frowned speculatively at him. I fell for that once, and I won't do so again. She recrossed her arms and stuck her nose in the air in the opposite direction, but it didn't last long; she looked back at him grinning a moment later.

Chris turned back to Lena. "Who said I was joking." He said as he took off out of the kitchen and out the front door. Once out the door he jumped behind the corner of the house just incase Lena was behind him so she wouldn't be able to see him. Chris then grabbed a bunch of snow a made a snow ball. Ha ha now he just had to wait for Lena so come out.

Chris--- wha---? But he dashed out the door. Groaning, she ran after him. Helena just saw him go out the front door and, she sighed before she followed. Once outside, everything was still. She shivered on the porch and looked around. His car was still there. She stepped off the porch, wincing at the cold ground on her feet.

Chris heard Lena come out she must think he was going crazy or something. Oh well this was way to much fun, although it was probably mean but he could deal with that part of it later. He took a peak out from the corner of the house. There she was standing with her back towards him, oh this was going to be good. "Hey Lena." He said and throw the snowball right at her back. Man he was probably going to be die after this...

Helena heard her name and spun around just to get a snowball nearly hit her face - just below actually. Her eyes narrowed slightly and a sly smile crept up on her face. Oh, Chris. You are so dead. She sprinted towards him, piling snow into her hand from the shrubs she was running by and balling it up in her hand as she ran.

Chris laughed so hard when he saw that the snowball hit near Lena's face. That was not what he wanted to have happen. "Oh yeah? Bring it on Lena." He said as he watched her run after him. He started to back up but not before he had grabbed more snow in his hands.

Helena pulled her arm back to throw when she tripped over the hem of her jeans and landed face up at Chris's feet. Her eyes widened at the snow in his hands but she was laughing so hard she could barely breathe, so there was no way she would be able to say anything.

Chris watched as Lena tripped, and she landed right at his feet. He looked at the snow in his hands and back at Lena. Oh what to do what to do. He the throw the snow over his shoulder and laughed with her. He cruched down next to her. "You alright?" He asked but kept laughing with her. This was probably one of the funniest things he had ever seen.

Helena managed to nod and calm her laughter down some. Through the small amount that continued, she said, Yes, but you won't be. And she took the prepared snowball in her hand and smushed it into the side of his head.

What did she mean by.... Cold!!!!! Very very cold! "Oh. My. God!" Chris said jumping up to his feet when he felt the cold snowball get smushed to the side of his head. He wiped it off quickly but of course it was still cold. "Oh you are going to pay for that one." He said getting more snow and made it look like his was going to throw the snowball right on her face.

Helena roared with laughter at his reaction. It was so.... not him. More like American teenage girl! Her laughter absolved at once and the mound of snow he seemed to be threatening to drop on her. Thinking quickly, she rolled flat over and tackled him around the knees.

Chris heard Lena laughing at the way he reacted. Well you acted differently when you have a bunch of snow up against your head. He then felt Lena tackle him making him lose his balance and he landed face first. Gahhhhh! That was even colder. He rolled over to his back and wiped the snow off his face. His face was now red from being cold. "Thank you Lena so much for this." He said using a lot of sarcasm. He then took a bunch of snow and throw it at her.

Helena was still on the ground in laughter, not even minding the snow melting through her jeans and T-shirt. She tried to dodge his next throw, but it caught her on the side of her face. Still laughing, she picked up a fistful and threw it back at him. You're welcome, she said brightly before standing up and attempting to run back to the front of the house.

Chris laughed when the snow hit him yet again in the face. He saw Lena try to get back to the house. "No you don't." He said as he got up and ran towards her. Of course he got right behind her and picked her up. "Now what are you going to do?" He asked with a shifty smile.

Helena was caught mid-run and was rather surprised to find herself dangling in the air. She couldn't reach the snow, and she had none, so she merely smiled and turned around to answer Chris. Her words faltered slightly at first at the sight of the snow in his hair and how it made him look cuter. But she would never admit to that. Sit here with puppy dog eyes and hope that you let me go? she finally asked, using her most innocent tones and widening her eyes the same.

Chris watched as Lena tried to make him let go of her. Darn it! She did those puppy eyes too? Chris was such a sucker for them. He sighed. "I guess I could let you down. But you're the one who has been throwing snow right at my face. Maybe I shouldn't." He said thinking out loud. "Alright fine I guess I will." He said putting her carefully back on the ground.

Helena smiled and brushed what snow hadn't melted through her jeans back onto the ground. Hey, she said, You did it first! But she was still smiling. She looked and saw that he, too, was pretty wet from the snow. She chuckled slightly and said, Why don't we go back inside? I just put some towels in the dryer.

Chris brushed the snow out of his hair. "So I didn't tackle you." He said smiling. "Yeah that sound great. I'm like so cold at the moment and very very wet." He told Lena and chuckled. She to was wet to bad he wasn't of age yet he could just pull out his wand and dry the two of them off. Well only one more month...

Helena laughed as they walked back to the house. Yeah, I am sorry about that, but hey - who could blame me? You were threatening to drop snow on my head, plus I did fall. Nearly the same. She shrugged slightly and closed the door behind them. You can sit down, I'll be right back.

She headed down the hall and into the door at the very end on the right. She opened up the dryer, and a few things flipped feebly once as she interrupted their cycle. They were dry, though, and very, very warm. She grabbed two and came back into the living room. She tossed him one. Fresh out of the dryer, Helena said and smiled as she pulled out a box of matches and lit a fire in the grate. She sat down on the couch and dabbed at the wettest parts of her.

Chris followed Lena back into the house. "Yes I can blame you. I know you fell but you tripped. You actaully tackled me down to the ground." He told her. "Ok." He said nodding as he sat down on the couch as he waited for Helena to come back.

Chris then felt something warm hit his chest. He smiled as he noticed a towle. "Thanks. It's so nice to be hit with something warm for a change." He said laughing as he took the towel and first dried off his hair because he was probably sure there was still some snow left. He then took it and tried the best he could to dry his tee shirt.

Helena chuckled slightly at his words and began squeezing the excess water from her hair. Well, at least I don't feel so bad about having been inside most of the day. The sun was beginning sinking lower outside the window when she glanced out it before settling back into the squishy couch.

"See it was a good thing I came over. You got to hit me with snow and see me acting like a girl. All in the same day." Chris told Lena and laughed. As he kept trying to dry himself up little bit. He actaully was glad he came over. He had to keep freaking out some much.

Helena laughed. You're definitely right, she said when the laughs had abated. I'll have to remember to hit you with snow more often. She smiled over at him as she pulled her legs up underneath her to get warm. So what have you been doing over break? - and don't give me you've been playing your guitar the whole time.

Chris chuckled. "Oh alright thanks. I guess I will have to get you first." He told Lena. He sighed when she asked what he had been doing. "Ok first I wasn't going to say that. I've been saying that to much people won't believe me." He told her. "True I've been spending time with family but I've also been spending time with Melinda." He said.

Helena chuckled slightly and was glad she had done so because it lightened the whole 'Melinda' thing. She said in her normal, casual tone, Well, that's good. At least the holidays haven't been boring for you. She smiled and shrugged slightly.
