On the day of July 26th is Hady's fifteenth birthday. After spending months planning it with her friend and fellow Snakette Maggie the day has finally arrived. It's a beautiful day with the sun shinning and the yard set with multicolored banners and streams as well as balloons in every color. Hady even made sure not to have to much green or silver around even though there was nothing wrong with a bit of house pride outside of Hogwarts!

The large in ground pool is just screaming for you to dive right in for a refreshing swim or float about on one of the floaties. Take a turn down the slide or sit under the small fountain or near the little waterfall. Whatever you decide just so you end up in the water at some point throughout the day.

Tables are laid out around the yard holding tons of food or drink both wizarding and muggle alike from cauldron cakes and chocolate frogs to pizza and chicken wings as well as pumpkin juice and sodas. Yes there's even fruits and veggies along with dips and cookies and candies too, so surely you could find something you like!

From somewhere unknown there's even music playing so dance the day away with a friend or on your own if you choose. Even if you can't dance get up and dance anyway it's all about having a good time.

Clearly it's a day to be enjoyed. Swim, eat, dance and hangout with friends. Afterwards feel free to remain for the for the sleepover either inside the house or outside under the stars. Sleepingbags will be supplied to anyone that may have forgotten theirs or that decided to stay last minute.

YAY! She HAD one! Lux beamed then stuck her tongue out at Adi. Fish tail indeed. More like hard work and speed.

It had been a pretty tight race from what she could see, so they had all done an amazing job of it. "Thanks, guys! This was a girls victory that I'm sharing with Hady." She put an arm affectionately around her Snakette Sis. They had gotten at least one win here and they were going to see about a second one very soon. They were all game still, right?

"Let's go for round three!" And then there would be the boyfriend race of course.

"Lux totally won due to her fish tail just like you won before cause you're so tall!" Hady declared grinning at the three older friends. Surely her reasoning was completely silly but that didn't keep her from sticking to it. There was a playfulness in her eyes as well as the fact that she was laughing that showed she was simply being childish here but really, who cared?

"Yay!" Hady smiled wrapping an arm around her big sis in return. Would the boyfriends be racing now or would there be a round three to break the tie between boys verse girls? Either way she was up for anything. Even a snack break if they were ready for one!

Adi continued to bob in the water, his grin still in place. "Yeah, Lux. Congrats! You can gloat all you want because Benny and I are going to take you girls down again.'' Cue him tossing a wink at his boyfriend. "Right, Benny?'' Hehe. The Hufflepuff liked that Lux was sharing her win with Hady. Just look at the birthday girl being all happy. That's the way he liked seeing her.

"Okay, get ready to give me and Benny all the chocolate stuff!'' Well, him mostly since Benny was more of a sours guys. Adi took up position again, ready to get started on round three. "You girls all set to go down?'' he called. "Ready to win this one, Benny?'' After ensuring everyone were in position as well, he began the countdown. "One, two, three!''

Annnnnd off they went!

All this big talk was doing nothing at all but making Hady laugh. Now if this had been the intention then they all clearly got an A+. However it wasn't and she was supposed to be swimming. Easier said then down when one was unable to stop laughing.

"Not gonna happen Adi!," she declared between small fits of laughter. By the time the counting down had started Hady was taking in large breaths of air through her mouth and then slowly out through her nose in an attempt to calm down. Failed attempt at that.

On three she took off swimming still occasionally laughing and possibly swallowing water one or twice due to this resulting in making herself cough and then laugh even more. Nice work on this race there Hady.

Giggling, Lux hugged Hady and then stuck her tongue out at Adi. She was having so much fun and knew that the birthday girl was as well. That was the most important thing since this was her special day and she absolutely deserved it. The only thing that would have made things better would be if Bay was there but she would be seeing him later on and he'd hear about everything that had happened.

Getting herself into position, she waited for the third race to begin. As Adi counted to three she pushed herself off the side of the pool and propelled herself though the water usI got her non-existent mermaid tail. It was impossible to see who was in the lead but she was hoping that it was Hady. Despite her competitive nature she was being a good friend.

Swim, swim, swiiiiiiim!

Adi would show those two girls! Benny had better, too! LOL! He could still see Hady laughing in amusement and Lux sticking her tongue out at him from before even though what he was actually seeing was water left, right and center; no matter where he turned his head. Occasionally, he caught sight of his 'competitors'.

Was it just him or did this lap seemed longer than the ones before? Adi inwardly shrugged and continued swimming. Where was that edge so that he could slap it in victory?!

So wait, there was another race of all four of them before he and Adi were to race on their own? Benny hadn’t made the original plans but it looked like he was being held to it. Time to see if one of the two previous winners, one from each team, continued their luck or if someone new hit the wall of the pool first. Maybe they hadn’t just won because of their tallness or mermaid tall after all. Or maybe the tallness rule applied to him as well as mentioned earlier.

“Right…” he agreed to Adi’s gloating over the girls. “Going to try,” Benny added, getting into position with the rest of them awaiting the countdown. Once the boyfriend hit three, the dragon kicked off and dove underneath the water, eventually coming up a distance away and beginning his strokes and kicks across the pool in earnest. He lost track of his position, simply swimming along, and getting surprised when his outstretched hand came upon the awaiting edge. The older boy suddenly righting himself to avoid the rest of him hitting it.

And then he turned as he cleared his eyes of water only to spot the other three coming up behind him.

He had won?!

Laughing and swallowing water and coughing was currently not the way to win a race. Luckily this was just for fun and nothing was actually riding on her victory or failure.

Shorts bursts of speed between her laughter was alright. At least until she coughed and water was in her mouth again. It didn't slow her down though and her hand finally hit the side of the pool just after Benny's. She looked up at her friend, water dripping down her face and grinned at him. The boys had won and really she didn't mind it one bit. The only thing she cared about was that they all had a good time. "You two gotta race still!" she declared gesturing between Adi and Benny as she pulled herself up out of the water to sit on the edge. Let's see who won this one!

Who had won?

That was the only thought on Lux's mind as she finally touched the edge of the pool that marked the end of the race. From what she had seen in the water it had been Benny but it had been a little hard to tell. Despite her title as a mermaid she hadn't been blessed with perfect vision while swimming. It was a slight disappointment but something that she could easily live with. Congratulations were in order at any rate. "Way to go," she told her friend while giving him a thumbs up. They had all won at some point or another seeing as she had shared her victory with Hady.

"Yeah! I hope you two aren't tired," she chimed in with a smile, seconding her Snakette Sis' comment. They weren't going to back out, were they? Swimming could be very tiring so she would definitely understand if they decided to call it a day. Maybe she had more energy than Adi after all. Hehe.

Adi FINALLY found the other edge of the pool, slapping it with his left hand and immediately pulling himself straight so that he bobbed in the water. "Who won?'' he asked as he rapidly shook his head to get water out of his hair. He knew it was definitely not him. Nah, he had been slow this time around.

Oh! Benny had won! Adi could hear Lux congratulating him. WOOT! "Way to go, lover boy!'' He was super pleased! "Told you guys that we'd win!'' He stuck his tongue out before grinning over at Hady. "The birthday girl gets her wish!'' Mhmm! Anything for her. "You ready, Benny? Or you need a break?"

Swinging her legs back and forth from her spot on the edge of the pool Hady grinned at them all. Her older siblings. The three of them...yes Benny as well now. He was something to Adi which meant he was something to her. Even if the older boy didn't fully know it.

Inching backwards a little bit she pulled her legs up out of the water and tucked them underneath herself. Couldn't have no one smashing into her when they won now, could she?

"If you're all tired and need a break we could get some frogs!," she laughed directing this mainly towards Adi. Noway would he turn that offer down.

Hady was next after him and Benny watched to make sure she was okay. There did seem to be a lot of laughing and coughing going on. “Thanks,” he remarked as Lux congratulated him with a thumbs up. Alas the Slytherin appeared good as she turned the attention to him and Adi, the dragon’s gaze falling on said boyfriend as he managed to bring up the rear of the pack before causing him to color ever so slightly with one of his nicknames in public.

Alright…let’s not make it too noticeable.

Not like he had much time to dwell as Adi himself echoed the girls’ questions about their own race. “I’m game now if you are,” Benny remarked giving his other half the option in turn. He had already done three races after all in comparison to his own two, so it was understandable to be maybe a little winded. Plus there was an offer of a chocolate frog break from the birthday girl.

What a tempting offer! Chocolate frogs always tempted Adi as did any sweets but the prospect of another race sure did appeal to him! He still had loads of energy left. He bobbed happily in the water and nodded at Benny. Got it, boyfriend! And Lux LOL Pffft! He didn't get tired so easily!

"I think I'll save those Frogs after race, Hades!'' They would be perfect for him to regain his energy afterwards. Adi positioned himself at the end of the pool. "Ready, Benny? Three laps? How much ever you want... or how many the girls want.'' He himself didn't mind one bit the amount of laps. THIS WAS GONNA BE FUN!

Wow, Adi much really be into the idea of racing against his boyfriend because he had refused the offer of Chocolate Frogs. Lux's eyes widened slightly in surprise because she KNEW just how much her friend loved them. Really who DIDN'T love Chocolate Frogs? They were the best candy that had ever existed in her opinion And the thought of them was making her hungry. Oops?

Getting her mind off of food was hard, but she managed to focus all of her attention back to her friends. "Three laps sounds good to me!" Surely Hady would agree with that? They didn't want their friends to get TOO tired after all. Especially Adi, who had been in the water longer than Benny...

Hady laughed softly from her spot up on the side of the pool. This race had probably been one of the closest and even though she hadn't won any of them she didn't care. The point in it was that they all had had a good time.

Benny and Adi were going to race now though! "Sounds like a plan!," she agreed grinning at her big brother. The mention of laps had her shrugging her shoulders. It was really all up to them. Three didn't seem like a bad number however if that's what they wanted to do. "Whatever you two want to do is good by me!"

She hugged her knees to herself resting her chin on her arms. She couldn't wait to see who would win this one!

So they were going to race now instead of later. Fine by Benny. However, three laps? He hadn’t thought their race was to be anything different than the previous races. Not that it was a big deal but it was an adjustment especially since he wasn’t all that aware of just how to turn while swimming. So here’s to hoping he didn’t wind up crashing into the wall in some way during the process. He was still ready for this race of theirs.

Benny looked between Adi and Lux in the pool and Hady sitting on the edge of the pool awaiting the final call. And why was a certain redhead all wide-eyed at what was going on…hmmm? There wasn’t much time to dwell on it or even question it as it seemed most if not all of them were in consensus. They would be racing and racing for three laps up and down the length of the pool.

“Well then I think we are ready,” he remarked, moving into position to start this thing. There he would wait until Adi was in position himself and the countdown begun before taking off for the first lap.

Adi could see the surprise on Lux's face when he refused the Chocolate frog off for the time being and grinned. It was nice to know he could still surprise his friends. Sooo, it looked like the girls didn't mind the number of laps they did. Three seemed to be the choice though. He looked back towards Benny who was already settling into place.

The guy hastened to do the same. IT WAS RACE TIME AGAIN! "Ready, Benny? On three! One... two... three!'' Annnnd off he went! Swim, swim, swim! Adi was doing his best but in all honesty, he didn't care if he lost. Benny was someone he didn't mind loosing to. Mhmm.

Hady rested her chin on her knees her hazel eyes trained on the boys still in the pool. Even with her offer of chocolate frogs being turned down for the moment she was excited. This was bond to be a good race.

It didn't matter who won really just so they were all having a good time. Race first. Food after. That was the current plan. With the guys taking up their places she remained where she was however. No need to move at all. "One...two...three!" she counted along with Adi out loud as the boys swam through the water.

Now who was going to win this one?

Adi moved in beside him at the edge of the pool making Benny aware of staying far enough away when they swam to not hit the boyfriend accidentally. He nodded in acceptance of the offered count before the former badger and the birthday girl both set about counting them towards the start of the race. At the count of three, the dragon kicked off from his position and began swimming across towards the other side of the pool with Adi right beside him.

Stroke…stroke…stroke.
Kick…kick…kick.
Stroke…stroke…stroke.

Eventually they came to the other side and Benny slowed down as he tried to turned around without actually stopping his overall movement. It was easier said than done but he managed to start off back down the way they had come to begin lap 2.

Man, it sure was a good thing he worked out every singe morning. Well, ALMOST everyday since Benny liked it sometimes when he slept in. And Adi did sleep in some days since his boyfriend wanted that. But later on during those days, he managed to set sit ups and push ups done. Thank the great Hippogriffs for sit ups. His arms were strong. Hehe.

As he neared one end of the pool, he sort of did a rotation so that his legs went upwards and towards the edge, hitting it and he was able to push himself off and able to continue on without stopping. It wasn't the first time he had done that rotation thing. Anywho, he had started on lap two and just behind Benny.

As both Adi and herself gave the call of 'three' the race began. She grinned watching as the two boys swam the length of the pool nearly stride for stride.

"Keep going! You two are awesome!," Hady cheered them both on clapping her hands. This was going to be a very close finish she was sure of it. It didn't matter who won all she knew was everyone deserved some food after this...or maybe cake. Cake and chocolate frogs.

Well, this was a lot fun.

Lux watched eagerly as the countdown started...AND THEY WERE OFF.

The former Hufflepuff cheered on her best friend as he came up just behind Benny. Nothing personal, of course, she was just closer to Adi and wanted to see him pull through. Honestly she would be really happy for whoever had won. At least she and Hady had their victory earlier and that was the important thing as she was the birthday girl.

Kick---kick---kick.

Benny was quickly making his way back across the pool and Adi was easily sensed beside him in the water with his own splashing. And then there was the vague awareness of the sounds of Hady and Lux from their more permanent spots above the surface. It did help spur them on, or him at least that he was aware of and he continued swimming.

He thought he had made a better move against the wall this time around as he flipped to begin the third and final lap of their little race. However, a few inches away from the turn, it was clear he had made a mistake, swallowing some water in the process. Benny coughed and tried to continue, swimming a few more feet before finally having to stop and straighten. The dragon clearing his airways as his head fully broke the surface.

Cough---cough---cough.

Were those cheers he heard from Lux and Hady?

Adi couldn't really tell if it were from them or from the others at the party. Whoever they were from, it fueled Adi on further. He continued swimming, repeating the same movements as with the laps previously to turn in order to complete the final lap.

The splashing of water around him and the vague cheers made it difficult for Adi to hear his boyfriend sputtering and coughing. His left hand reached out to slap the end of the pool. "Who won?'' he asked looking around. He expected to see Benny close by but... ah, there he was!

"Benny?! You okay?'' Adi was concerned, yo!

Of course she was cheering on the boys. Both of them. No playing favorites for her. She might be super close with Adi but she liked to think that after having worked with Benny in class once and him being with Adi she had grown closer to him also. Anyhow she was cheering them both on.

Her shouts as well as Lux's appeared to be spurring the swimmers on as they continued onto the last and final lap! It was getting so close now! Who would it be, who would it be?!

Hady saw the big brother closing in and passing Benny up. All the movement, excitement and splashing of water made for a good show. It also made things a little tough to follow. She did notice Benny stopping however and then realized it was due to him coughing. Had he swallowed water? "Are you alright there Benny?!" she called from her side of the pool. Sorry Adi she'll confirm a winner after making sure he was okay.
