&&BACKGROUND

Hundreds of children have attended Hogwarts. Although many stay throughout the whole year, there are some who do not. They are known as Echos. Simply because they apply and reapply and ect. These kids have issues with their home life, whether it be parents getting sick, going to Azkaban, themselves needing to attend St. Mungo's for reasons not clarified to the school.
Abuse, being Physical, Verbal, or Emotional happens to these children. So Hogwarts has created a 'safe house' in best form for the kids so their education could be fulfilled. Witches and Wizards need proper training.
This miniature school is about twenty miles from Hogwarts, about half the size. They have the same classes, accept their beds and meals are offered year round.

&&PLOT

We will be focusing on the main idea of the life for these kids. They want to learn, but some may have attitude problems, emotional problems, or anything of the sort.
I ask that we only have sixth years.

HISTORY
In Wexford, Ireland on January 1st, 1992, Lacey Margret James was born. Her parents, Margret and Jonathon were young and in love. It only took four years until the arguing began. Arguing turned to fighting. Fighting turned into Screaming. Screaming turned into one leaving for days at a time. Then it came to Lacey and her father, all alone. He drank, abused her, used his magic against the law, and ended up in Azkaban. Margret came around when that happened, her new boyfriend lived in Dublin, and they soon after became engaged. When Lacey wanted to know why her mother just up and left, Margret would turn it around, and ask why Lacey was such a terrible child. Everyone said it was Lacey's fault that Margret and Jonathon separated, at least, that's what Lacey thought. With troubles at home, shortly after Lacey began wizarding school, she was plucked out several times. This would've been a problem, accept Lacey was always ahead. She called it 'Preparing to leave'. Preparing got harder when the school work grew, and shortly after it started, she fell behind. Now getting a chance to live somewhere stable year round, Lacey jumped, and her mother and step-father happily shipped her off.

Lacey doesn't talk much. She is close to being completely mute, although it's just a mixture of being shy and fearing rejection.

Jay Jay walked into the great hall, his hands deep in his pockets. He noticed a girl sitting alone, he vaguely recognised her from somewhere, and then he remembered. She was the girl who had listened to him play music, she had stood in his doorway and listened, and he'd pretended not to notice. He'd heard her name thrown about a bit, it was something like...Livvy?
He shrugged to himself, then walked over to her, "Hey," he said once he'd reached her.

Alex was curled into the wall, unaware of the goings ons inside until a clamor erupted. Sighing in noticeable irritation, he pushed his earphones in more securely until his brain pulsated with the beat of the bass. Having already demolished half of his slice of pumpkin bread, he threw the other half in the bushes to decay. He couldn't stomach much more, nausea was already creeping upon him as he thought, quite drearily, of the day awaiting him. So far, he thought a certain control was settled securely over him, everyone was at a safe arms-length distance. There was that one mishap with the dark girl, what was her name?, and the screaming match with Lacey and Princess, but that was it. However, being boxed in a room with a handful of crazies wouldn't do wonders for his unstable psyche. By the end of the day someone was going to sleep with a bloodied face. How'd he love, just LOVE, to tear our Princess's hair, break Lacey's delicate little bones, fight any of them. Alexander just wanted to go. He didn't need freaking Hogwarts. He had enough knowledge to support himself, get into runespoor egg dealing, whatever. An angry hiss whistled between his teeth as a girl and a boy joined him outside, and feeling invaded, he stomped indoors, staring steadily down. Stomping harder than necessary, he allowed his feet to guide him until he ended up in the library, amongst musky pages. His heartbeat settled to a more rythmic tattoo and finding a corner, Alex settled into it, a black and white ball amongst the faded book spines.

Garrett smiled as they walked outside. It was beautiful outside. Sunny... cool though. "I just love this place," he whispered softly.

Livvy heard someone call her name, but didn't look up. She wasn't used to people calling out her name. Her name was practically foreign to her. But she noticed that someone stood next to her. Livvy looked up and saw a boy... it was the boy that played music. She wore a puzzled expression. "Uh... hi?"

"Uh...hi yourself," Jay Jay said with a small, discreet smile. Extremely sociable this one, he thought sarcastically to himself. But he could hardly talk, he normally remained silent, unless he was singing, so he didn't blame her. "I'm Jay Jay," he said with a nod.

Livvy narrowed her eyes slightly. Why was he smiling? She shrugged and just nodded her head, offering a small smile in return. "Hello Jay Jay. I'm Livvy."

Livvy merely shrugged at his question. "For the same reason why everyone else is here," she said, propping her head on her upright arms. "Never happy... never believing that your existence actually matters," she said, staring off into the distance. Then she remembered that Jay Jay was there. Livvy felt weird and uncomfortable. He was probably the first person she's actually talked to in... months... maybe years. Livvy laughed a bitter laugh.

Jay Jay nodded, and looked to where Livvy was staring. She seemed ok, a little unsociable, but he was the same, and she had a good point, everyone here, well certainly him, didn't see the point in living anymore. And then she laughed a bitter laugh. Jay Jay continued to stare where she was staring for a few seconds and then turned back to her, "You were listening to me play my music last night, weren't you?"

Livvy looked up and smiled. Now that smile wasn't a fake. She found herself fake smiling a lot these days. "Yeah... you're really good," Livvy said, smiling, recalling last night.

Garrett smiled. "Look, I'm kinda bad at this. So I'm not gonna beat around the bush. You wanna be friends?" he asked. He felt kinda stupid, but it was true. He didn't like getting nowhere and he was bad at this type of... social.. stuff.

Garrett grinned back at her and waited for her response. He hoped it wasn't personal or anything. He nodded his head as she talked. Seemed like he definitely wasn't the only one with problems like her. "Yeah.. my.. uh.. father had left us, me and my mum, when I was like five. She hated my father from then on. And, she hated the resemblance of my father, I had. So... she just.. ignored me. Pretended I wasn't there. Well, anyway. I caused some trouble at the previous school I went to, and here I am," Garrett said, scratching his head.

Adam sighed and threw his peice of toast down. He was tired of being a loner. But what was he going to do about it? Absolutely nothing. He looked up and at everyone, feeling a bit lonely. He stood up and walked out of the Great Hall and to where ever he was supposed to go, slinging his bag over his shoulder in the process. He looked around the hallways, observing.

Carmen looked up as she heard more talking around her. Oh, great. She sighed and stood up, walking quietly out of the room and to the foyer outside. She sat on the steps, not sure where to go.

Lacey nodded,"Sleep, if you don't feel well by morning, go to the hospital wing." She said warmly,"I'll be in the library, classes wont be for another hour, hopefully you can make it." She said, turning and walking silently out of the room and closing the door. Winding through the hallways she reached the place where nobody would usually go. A smile crossed her lips as she walked into the room, it was empty. At least she knew one sanctuary. Slipping over to a shelf she pulled a book out, to see a black figure in a corner. Dropping down out of sight she looked up at the ceiling. Then back down to the book. 'Dark Arts: The New Millennium Edition 7' By Rupert Wetred. Glancing around to see if anyone else had chosen to come, Lacey pushed the book open and scanned over things. This series had helped her create dozens of spells. Pushing the book shut, it ended up slamming, making her catch her breath. 'Please tell me whoever that was didn't hear that' She thought to herself, setting the book down on the ground and crawling around a row of shelves, hopefully out of sight.

Garrett looked at her and raised an eyebrow, baffled. He had handled it well. Boy, if she only knew. But she didn't. And it was Garrett's job to tell her. But he didn't want to... not yet. Garrett just smiled and nodded his head. "Heh... why thanks," he said. "But I assure you, I'm not at all different. And I'm sure... you'll learn how to deal with it..."

Maisy felt a happy tingling feeling in her stomach,it was nice,and it was sort of new to her,she never really got to get that feeling because not alot of good things ever happened to her.She looked at him,"Maybe,bit it'll take alot of time.."she said.She knew that things that were new to her always took time to get used to but Garrett,he grew on her.

Coheed woke up in her room. Lazily she started to look around the quiet room, and then her clock. 4 am? She though inside her head as she quietly got out of bed. She looked over at Lacey, trying to make sure she didn't make a loud enough creak the wake the girl.

Quietly Coheed took a step outside her door, and peered around the halls. Empty, good. She tightened up the jacket around her, and pulled her sleeves over her hands, and started to walk.
