Ashleigh was so bored. All she needed now was sleep. Off went makeup, on went a little gloss. Changing from normal day clothes to an A&F tanktop and a green pair of Hollister sweatpants. Shoving on some beige Uggs (the real kind, not fake), she decided to wander before going to bed (staying up late was the new dieting.) But then she remembered - PERFUME. Yes. Smelling yummy was a priority. Applying her favorite (Viva La Juicy!) very carefully (all the pressure points. Wrists and back of knees would do for now.), she stepped outside and breathed in the musty hallway air.

So much for 'fresh air.'

Jeremiah heard the outside hall creak. Someone was out and about. Who really- he didn't care much about. Instead of even checking he went to the desk beside his bed and pulled the chair out from behind it. In one motioned sweep the chair left it's spot and now sat underneath the handle- blocking and locking the door from anyone who could possibly get in. Well really anyone could get in if they wanted to.

From there he remember unpacking was needed to be done. His trunk laid open with clothes, books, papers. Everything in there was neatly stacked as though he had just put it there. But he didn't. The first thing he took out was a black bag. You couldn't see what was in it- and really that was the point. When he lifted the bag, inside you could hear the clanging of glass come together quietly. For now it was stuffed in the side table by his bed as he unpacked the rest of his trunk.

Aiden sighed and put his book down-"Wereling" by Stephen Cole-- and looked in the mirror. What time was it? He shrugged and stretched, kicking off his shoes and changing into a red pair of new sweatpants his older brother gave him. He ran a hand threw his blonde hair (his form of brushing) and turned on the fan next to his bed. He went to brush his teeth quickly and decided maybe it was time to sleep. He would shower in the morning. He took off his shirt and let it lay at the bottom of his bed and crawled under the blankets. He felt unimportant--disconnected from the world. He guessed that was best, but he had no idea why. What was wrong with him? What was ever wrong with him?

Soon he fell asleep, trying not to dream about the regular, reacurring dreams of fire and his baby sister screaming for him. But it came. It always came.

Carmen opened her eyes as she heard the door close. Great, now was her time. She was going to pretend to be asleep until Queen Bee fell asleep, and then sneak to the bathroom to take a shower. But this was even better. She got up and quickly grabbed her clothes and radio and went to the bathroom, plugging the radio and turning it up a little more than she usually does. She stepped in the shower--happy she could at least listen to the radio and sing to it. She wasn't used to that. She even took an extra-long shower and dried her hair. She then retired and went to bed after putting her radio up, going to sleep almost instantly.

She couldnt be bothered with all the bickering between Malibo Barbie and Tall Dark Stranger from the start.She'd had enough of that.So she had just walked into the House,which was much more warm than outside,either that or she was just numb.She got into the house,looked at the rest of the residents and then departed to her room.

Here she was now.Sat in her room.She couldnt sleep,she never did.Though you couldnt tell.All in all,Maisy had it all going for her.The Blonde hair,the blue eyes,the figure everyone so badly wanted,and yet,she felt like there was something missing.She didnt want to be the way she was,and that was what she was thinking,while led on her bed,making drawings with her wand on her ceiling.She sighed.She had heard a creak outside,and that made her jump.She got out of bed and opened her now unlocked door and crept out,in a vest and trousers.

"Whos there?"she said,rather furmly.She wasnt scared,just asking a normal question

Jay Jay put his guitar down and stopped playing. He sighed, his room mate, Nathaniel, wasn't even here yet, so he got up again and walked down the corridor in his pajamas. A girl was sticking her head out of the door. He nodded at her, "Hey,"

She could sense someone was watching her and she didnt move.Maisy didnt even flinch,she just turned on the spot when she heard a deep voice.It was a boy,of corse.She looked at him."Hi.."she said to him.She walked out of the door way and over to the window to look outside.She looked at the boy."Im sorry if I woke you up"she said to him,then turning back to the window.She watched the night skiy just gloom over the house.

Jay Jay shrugged. "Don't worry about it, i wasn't even asleep, i was playing my guitar," He ran his hand through his hair wearily, then gave her a small smile. "What are you doing up?" he asked, joining her at the window.

She had her back to him while he was talking.She turned and nodded at hiim,"I know you were.."she said,with a look.She turned back to the window."I could hear you.."she said,she'd always had good hearing,more than what a muggle could hear,like an owl.She could hear everything.She glanced at him as he joined her."Just watching.."she said,"The Darkness."she said,glancing at him again

Livvy had left her bedroom as she walked around the corridors. She aimlessly wandered around. Nodding in acknowledgement at those around her, though not really caring. Livvy walked forward and noticed two people talking. "Hi," she said softly as she walked past them.

Garrett sat outside sitting at the lake, his feet dangling into the water. He just stared out into space. It wasn't many times when he had someone to confide in, and chances are, he would never be able to. He was practically going crazy living this way, but no way would Garrett admit it.

Maisy was looking at the boy,when another girl came up to them.She didnt blink.She looked at her and then looked away."Hi.."she said,with a stair out of the window.She sighed.She looked at them again,"Im going outside.."she said.With that she looked at the boy with a tiny smile,nodded at the girl,and left them talking.

She walked out into the night,just in a vest, and some thin jogging bottoms that hugged her small hips and long legs.She saw another boy,sat by the Lake."Water not cold?"she asked,walking towards him.She couldnt feel the cold,she never did.

Livvy just watched the girl leave and nodded her head in return. She sighed and sat down in front of some stranger's door. She was too scared to go into her room. They had told her they removed her mirror, but obviously, that wasn't true, and Livvy didn't dare go in.

Garrett looked up with a startled look. It'd been a long time since anyone had talked to him, much less acknowledged his presence. He nodded his head and gave a small awkward smile. "Nah... Nice and warm," Garrett said, looking away from the girl. That was partly true.

Maisy nodded,and sat next to him,she bent down and ran her hand through the water.It was warm,again,maybe she was numb.She was out in a small vest and joggers.She looked at the water.It seemed to at peace,not something she was familiar.She looked at the boy,"Why are you out here?"she asked him

Garrett thought about his mother and whether or not she missed him at all. She probably didn't. That's how it was all the time. Garrett turned his attention to the girl. "Oh.. no reason," he said, shrugging. "Just trying to gather my thoughts I guess," Garrett said. "You?" Garrett secretly congratulated himself on not making himself seem like a total idiot in front of the girl.

Maisy nodded,she could see that he was thinking.She felt sorry for him,she hoped she didnt intimidate him,her sudden forwardness towards him.She looked at him."Oh.."she said,"Yeh,pretty much the same.."she said,"Though I didnt come dressed for it.."she said,looking down over herself.She sighed,"Never mind.."she said,looking at him."Im Maisy.."she said

Garrett nodded his head and looked away. He listened to her carefully and thought that maybe she was okay. She probably wasn't like the rest. Unwillingly, Garrett's lips cracked into a small smile. "Garrett," he said, turning back to her and stuck out his hand awkwardly.

Maisy looked at him.She watched his reaction to her comment about her name.She looked at him.Garrett.She'd never heard of that name before.She looked at his hand and she too, smiled,though she didnt mean to,she just smiled.She took his hand.It was firm,very manly like."You dont look like you belong here Garrett.."she said,as a compliment.She felt weird.She had smiled and she had said a compliment

Garrett eyed Maisy cautiously. Her hand was smooth and delicate. Garrett chuckled softly at her comment and dropped her hand. "Gee... thanks. But I guess it's true. I could almost say the same for you," he said quietly.

Jay Jay watched as the girl left and walked outside to where another boy was sitting by the lake. He ran his hand through his hair wearily again, gave the other girl a small smile, then walked back to his bedroom. His guitar lay on his bed, and for once in his life, he actually wanted to play it, so he picked it up, the soft wood cold against him, and began to pluck the strings, singing softly to himself:

Livvy just nodded her head at the boy and then the boy left. Funny how it seemed that she was always the only one left. She sighed and set her head back against the wall and thought. Then... music was playing. It was very... beautiful. And such a beautiful voice. Livvy wondered who it was.

Unconsciously, Livvy stood up and turned her head left to right. Normally, she wouldn't have venture towards the source, but this time it was different. Livvy walked towards an open door that led to a bedroom. And inside, she could see that boy again, playing a guitar and singing along. Livvy smiled, despite herself and sat outside the door. How beautiful, she thought.

Maisy could see he was thinking about her, the way he cautiously looked at her, gave her the impression he didnt trust people alot.She looked at him as they shook hands."Your welcome.."she said with the smallest of smiles.She for some reason had smiled more in the last half an hour than she had in 2 years.She looked at him,"Thanks,its weird how things arnt always how they seem.."she said to him

Garrett smiled and nodded his head as he looked up at that sky. "I just love this place. I can actually think and no one's ever there to judge you," he said, softly. He looked back at Maisy. It was rather interesting. This night turned out to be full of surprises. Garrett didn't feel... so alone... anymore.

Maisy could see there was some sort of sarcasim in there.She laughed a little.First time.For ages.She looked at him and nodded,she understood him."I know what your saying.."she said looking away from him."I feel free.."she said"Its nice.."she said looking at him again."I dont feel alone anymore.."she said."I feel like there are people here who I can relate to ... which ive never been able to do before."she said,sighing.

Garrett looked at her, startled. She understood how he felt? Never, had that happened before. Many were too mean to care and those that were too nice, just didn't know how to help him. "You do, huh? Yeah... I feel... so... like I'm the only one in the world and no one cares," Garrett said to her. "How come?"

Maisy looked at him.He was clearly shocked.She smiled slightly."I can read your mind, and no you not alone.."she said to him with another sigh.She looked at him and smiled,"Yeh,I do.."she said,"Your not the only one in the world and, for what its worth,even though ive only just met you, I care.."she said,"My life..well it was more than just abnormal,Ive never cared about anyone,and even if I did,Id get hurt,but this,this is different.."she said.

Garrett smiled and sighed. "Huh. Guess I'm not. Thanks for caring," he said, looking at Maisy in the eye. Then he glanced away. But at the sound of Maisy's voice, Garrett had to look at her. He was curious. "What made you think you'd get hurt?"
