After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

"You'll save us all a lot of time if you'll wait outside," Tara pointed at the door. She waited until Snape had gone before she hustled Dani back to her own room to change. Tara herself changed quickly but took several long moments to stare at the lovely robes. She had never owned anything so nice, and the fact that Severus liked the way she looked in them made her smile. Dani reappeared, and the two joined Snape in the hall.

Snape paced in the hallway while waiting for the two Sinistras. When they finally emerged, he managed a small smile. "Shall we go?" he asked, offering an arm to Tara.

Dani willingly took Snape's arm while her mother stepped to his other side. She was almost giddy with the idea of going out, beginning to feel house bound despite their visit to Diagon Alley the day before. "This is great. We're like... a family." Tara cried not to cringe and avoided Snape's gaze.

"I suppose we're a family of sorts," Snape surprised even himself by saying as they walked down the stairs. "I thought we'd go to the Three Broomsticks for dinner."

As much as Tara enjoyed Snape's company and wanted to explore whatever it was she felt for him, she stiffened a bit at his comment. Of course, he was probably wanting to reassure Dani and keep from any more ugly scenes, but it was a bit too fast for her. She didn't want to get hurt, and she didn't want Dani to get hurt, and thinking of themselves as a family this soon was dangerous. Even still, she continued down teh stairs, listening to Dani agree to the plan happily.

"Take it easy, Tonks....take it easy. We're not far...I can still see the house, and you walked up all the way up here. Me and Hermione were just going for a ride on my broom." This was ridiculous. Fred was grown now, and Tonks wasn't that much older than he...he didn't need her telling him he couldn't even stay within view of the house. "Well, seeing as we're not allowed to breath around here anymore, I think we should go Hermione. Come on..."Fred took both of her hands, and led her to his broom. "Ciao Tonks." And Hermione and Fred flew back to the house...

Snape had glanced over at Tara and noticed the look on her face. "The people who live at Hogwarts are very much like a family," he clarified, as that was very much true. Dumbledore had been more of a father to him, when Snape had finally allowed him to be, than his own father. He considered Hogwarts his home, even if he despised the vast majority of the people who came through.

Tonks sighed and flopped down on the hill after Fred and Hermione left. She was making a horrible mess of things. Perhaps she was trying too hard. She ran her hands through her hair and allowed her elbows to rest on her knees while her head remained supported by her hands.

Ginny slid back down the drain pipe and into the garden as she saw Fred and Hermione land nearby. With a menacing look on her face, Ginny grabbed Fred's arm. "Where are Harry's glasses?" She pinched him through his shirt and shot Hermione a look that implied she was in trouble too.

Tara nodded in agreement. "That is true, Dani. We all eat together and work together. We take care of each other like a family does." Dani seemed pleased enough with that answer, and Tara lapsed back into silence.

Elizabeth wandered out into the garden to see what was going on. She adjusted the hem of her skirt and looked at Ginny and Fred with interest

Fred shook his head so that Harry's glasses fell down on his face. "I don't know where his glasses are. Firstly, I don't keep up with Harry's belongings. He should be more careful as to where he keeps his stuff. And, secondly....I'd help you look for them, but I can't see a thing with these things on.."Fred reached out his hands and tried walk around again. He bumped into Hermione, then Ginny, then the side of the house, then walked all the way over to a figure he presumed to be Harry...and put the glasses on them. But, upon further notice...he realized it was Elizabeth. "Ah....found your glasses, Harry!"

Elizabeth felt slightly embarrassed as Fred put Harry's glasses on her, but was smiling anyway.

"Very funny Fred" She said as she took off the glasses and held them out to Ginny.

"You're so funny, Fred," Ginny scowled at him and grabbed the glasses, then removed her ribbon forcefully from Hermione's hair. "Both of you. Hilarious." She marched back to the bench where Harry still sat, putting his glasses on him. Before he could react, she turned on her heel and headed into the house, slamming the door behind her.

Tonks sat on the hill a little longer before apparatig to Diagon Alley. Still in her stocking feet, she tripped and stubbed her toes several times as she wandered over to Gringotts and picked up some money before finally heading to the shoe shop. She wore the shoes out of the store and right into the ice cream shop where she sat in a corner with her butterbeer float.

The rest of the walk to The Three Broomsticks was unremarkable. The three found a booth towards the back of the pub and Snape took a seat where he could clearly see the entrance.

Ginny had pulled the ribbon out of Hermione's hair quite harshaly and Hermione winced. It wasn't that big of a deal... it was all in good fun... She frowned, watching Ginny walked inside and turned back to Fred to see what his reaction to Ginny's... overeaction would be.

Harry straightened his glasses on his nose and blinked a few times as the world came back into clear view. He stood up and walked inside, following Ginny... she seemed to be more upset than she should be.

Fred rolled his eyes and threw his arms up. Then he ran after Ginny, yelling at her in his mock voice of her. But, he caught the door in his face and staggered backwards. "What a drama queen..."Fred said rubbing his nose.

Fred moved back over close to Hermione and put his hands on each side of her shoulder, looking at her from different angles. "You know..that ribbon did look better on you than grouchy britches." Fred grinned stepped back from her, looking for something else to get into. He couldn't let his mind wander off to yesterday...or the fact that Dumbledore was coming for Alicia's body today...he had to keep himself busy. "WHere's George, you think?"

When Fred spoke, there was an awkward pause, causing Hermione to think maybe Fred had started to let his mind wander to things maybe he didn't want to think about. "Fred, you know... if you need to talk, I can listen... just so you know," Hermione said. He still had his hands on her shoulders and she surveyed his eyes.

Tara helped Dani to order some food before ordering herself. This was pleasent, and she was just beginning to settle into the rhythm of just being together when she noticed a man at the bar staring at their booth. "Severus," Tara pretended not to see and put her finger lightly on his hand before removing it. She didn't want to be overt in her physical contact. "At the bar..."

Ginny heard the door shut behind her and she whirled around to face Harry. There were tears on her face and she tried to look angry still, but instead her face just crumpled up. "Of all the selfish and stupid..." She searched for words before hitting the counter and half-turning from Harry again. "I was kind of an idiot out there, wasn't I?"

As Snape ordered his meal, he took note of the people in the pub. It had been very foolish of him to take them here. He ignored his 'friend' at the bar until Tara discreetly brought his attention back to him. "Yes, I know," he said, appearing unalarmed as the food was brought to the table. "Just enjoy your meal, Tara."

Tara obediently settled Dani into her meal and began to eat her own meal. The man at the bar was unnerving her, and she finally had to push the food away and sip silently on her glass of water. Dani ate with relish and smacked her lips over the butterbeer before pushing the bottle away and sitting against her mother with a sigh. "Can we look around before we go back to Hogwarts?"

Snape considered the request while he finished off his meal, taking note of Tara's full plate. "I'm not sure that your mother is feeling well enough to look around today. Perhaps you can explore another time," he getting up to the pay the bill.

He stepped up to the bar in order to pay, bringing him in direct contact with the man who had been watching them. The man smiled and laughed, "You've been holding out on us Severus."

"I've been holding out on no one," Snape sneered but, noticing the man's glance at the table, he elaborated. "It is new."

"I'll say it's new," the man chuckled. "I can't say I'm not surprised Severus. Though, I must ask, how did you do it? Surely she's not with you of her own free will?"

Snape paid the bill and turned to leave but, before he did so, he sneered, "Stay away from them, Lestrange."

"Now, now, Severus, afraid I'm going to steal her away from you? You should know better than that."

Snape shot him another look before going back to the table. "Let's get back to the castle," he said to the two Sinistra girls.

Harry stared at Ginny. "Uh... what do you mean?...acted like an idiot...?" He asked, tentatively, hoping that he hadn't missed something.

Elizabeth, realising that she was outside with just Fred and Hermione, who were talking to each other, felt like a third wheel.

Having just seen Ginny, then Harry go inside, she didn't want to go inside either.

Quietly she turned and walked off down the garden to see what vegetable were around.

Fred's eyes wondered up to the window where he knew Alicia's body had been kept, then back to Hermione's face. Shrugging, he said shortly, "No...I don't want to talk. His eyes darted to the door, "But I do want to know what's up with that grouch of a sister I have. You don't really think she's mad because you her ribbon looked so much better in your hair do you? " Fred asked, totally baffled. "No offense...but girls are strange."

"Girls ARE strange... Though I am one, I can surely agree with you on that... I'm not sure exactly what Ginny's upset about..." Hermione said, staring at the door. She turned back to Fred. "Give her time, though... you know, you and your brother both annoy her a lot.
