After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

Ginny sighed and slid off of Harry's lap. She stood in front of him uncertainly. "I love you too, Harry. And I think that's enough, but I can't live like this. I can't... I can't be in fear all the time, wasting away in a Dark house. I want a life, Harry. I want a family and a life. When do we get to have that?"

Draco finally mustered up all his courage and he stood in front of Dumbledore's office and knocked on the door.

Snakes traveled in S-shaped trails and right now, he felt like he had been cursed with Jelly legs. So inappropriately appropriate.

"... Professor Dumbledore...?" He was grateful that at least his voice was steady, betraying a calm he didn't feel.

It took him a moment before he realized what the young Dani was doing. He gave her a brief hug before she scurried off with her mother. Waiting for the door click closed, Snape walked into his bathroom and slipped out of his soiled robes. Turning the water on so hot that it nearly burned, he stepped into the shower and allowed the hot water to cleanse him.

"Enter," Dumbledore said, hearing the knock on his door just as he appeared in his fireplace.

He was just stepping out as the door opened and Draco Malfoy walked into his office. "Ah, Mr. Malfoy. Come in and have a seat."

Hermione was pulled into a hug by Fred and was completely relieved that he wasn't angry at her for not leaving him alone. She stayed in his embrace, loving the feeling of protection and comfort she felt with him. Though she didn't want to, Hermione pulled away from the hug after a few moments of silence, and looked at Fred. However, she still was holding Fred's hand in hers.

"I want that too.... I don't know when we can get out of here, but I can promise you that someday we will. We won't be stuck here for our lives," Harry said to Ginny, standing up, too. She was making him feel short by standing up while he was sitting.

"Thank you, professor." Draco felt a little awkward. He hadn't spoken directly to the Headmaster in a little while now and it felt a bit odd. He couldn't say he felt intimidated, but he felt a bit overwhelmed. He sat down and took a seat and wondered where to begin. Should he just explain why he was here or what?

For once, Draco Malfoy was speechless.

Ginny felt vaguely dissatisfied with Harry's answer, not because it wasn't what she wanted, but because she was used to acting by nature. She wanted to do something; she wanted to make this dream of theirs happen, but there was nothing she could do right now. People all around her were dying and for all she knew, the next could be someone in her family or Harry. She didn't know how to express what she felt, and she didn't want to do it in front of all those people, so she simply stood in the kitchen of the house she hated so much and stared at the man who was the only thing who could keep her there.

Dumbledore brushed himself off and sat himself behind his desk before he settled down to studying the young man seated across the desk from him. He was so much like the young Severus, though with brighter hair, he smiled to himself. "What is troubling you?" he prodded.

Guin waved her hand in a motion that said enough, "Today is today...and that was yesterday." She said as she looked at him. "I thought I already said that we weren't gonna talk about it." Guin said with a small smile. "And I guess I'm glad you like me....as a friend you know." Guin added off handedly.

Harry took Ginny into a hug. "We'll get out of here soon, and we'll live our lives and have a family..." He pulled back a bit, looked at her and smiled, "With red hair and green eyes..."

"I... misplaced some very important documents that were entrusted to me when I returned from the DE meeting. I tried summoning it and I couldn't, but I felt a strong pull that led me to your office. I'm not sure what it means, but I thought I might see if you would know." Draco opted for honesty. There was no sense and no point in lying to the Headmaster and if he couldn't be honest to Dumbledore or Snape, then he couldn't be honest to anyone.

He clasped his hands together. He thought about telling the headmaster about the meeting itself and about the killing, but it didn't seem quite right to just... mention it right out of the blue. He involuntarily shivered as he remembered the feel of the Dark Lord's eyes on him.

Fred sighed when Hermione pulled away. He was afraid he had stepped over the line holding her like he had, but she held on to his hand still. She was such a comfort to Fred. Ginny had been a huge help, but there was just something about Hermione that just made all the rage and guilt and anger disappear.

Clearing his throat, Fred said, "Let's save what I did today for another day. How about, we lay down and you tell me what you did today." Fred scooted to the far side of his bed and grabbed the small blanket at the bottom of his bed. Fred was afraid that Hermione would think his intentions were anything but innocent, but surely she knew him better than that by now...

Dumbledore nodded. "I actually have the documents you are speaking of. I found them in the Entrance Hall and thought I'd hold them for you," he said. "But, before I get to that, I was wondering if you could tell me anything about what happened at the meeting."

George offered Guin a crooked half-smile. "I'm glad you don't hate me. I thought I'd have to actually do your laundry and carry you around the house. I wouldn't have minded carrying you around, but... I'm fairly horrible with cleaning spells. My mum makes me do it all the Muggle way because I tend to set things on fire. You're lucky you avoided it altogether. So... mates?" He stuck out his hand as if to offer a handshake, then displayed his palm to show there were no tricks.

Hermione thought that not talking about what happened today was a great idea. He would talk about it when he was ready, she was sure. She laid down, and Fred pulled a blanket over the two of them. It did feel kind of strange to be in this position with Fred, but it didn't matter at the moment, because she knew this was comforting to Fred. Once they were settled, Hermione talked. "Well, I woke up this morning and went outside. It was very sunny out... I was up before anyone else was... just after sunrise... it was quite pretty. I sat, thought a bit, read... and wrote for the morning. Then, I heard people getting up... Ginny joined me outside. We talked and were planning on pulling a prank on someone. She was planning most of the details, seeing as how she's related to you." She smiled.

"If they all looked like you, I certainly wouldn't mind it," Ginny grinned at him, admiring him. She moved back in and gestured for him to lean down to her smaller height. "I want to start this life soon. I want to start it very soon." She let him take that as he would and walked out the backdoor.

Guin smiled and shook Georges hand. "Mates." She was a bit awkward now, shaking his hand. Were they really friends now? Guin smiled at herself, before the twins had stepped foot in Grimmuld she had been ready to hate and ignore them till eternity. How easily it took something like this to change a persons thinking and views. And how easily was she now friends with George, almost laughing she spoke again. "More tea?" She got up and poured the tea into their cups, how much tea would they actually go through?

Harry was standing there as Ginny walked away from him. He had a mixture of emotions that he was feeling. Surprise, at what Ginny had just said, confusion... had she really said that? And intrigue.... He followed Ginny out the backdoor. "You want to start this life soon, huh?" He asked when they were out in the sunshine.

"You were going to prank someone? I'm impressed. It wasn't me for the underwear instance was it? That's what is was wasn't it? You were just trying to get a peep at my and George's underwear....Mione, I'm surpised in you! If you wanted to see them, you could of just asked. Heck, George and I will sign a pair for you and give it to you. What's your favorite color?"Fred asked grinning at the pink in Hermione's cheeks.

Hermione turned pink, but laughed and hit Fred playfully on the arm. "No, of course it wasn't to get you back! That would have been good, though..." She stopped talking, before she said something about Fred's underwear that she didn't mean to.

Relief made the gunmetal grey eyes soften and Draco sat back a little. The last thing he wanted to do was relive the meeting, but he complied with the Headmaster's request.

"Two people were punished for failing to kill Ginny Weasley. They... brought with them a girl named Alicia, who was supposedly a friend of Ginny's... information of some nature was extracted from her and... she was killed." His voice was flat and mostly emotionless and devoid of the characteristic drawl; only his eyes betrayed how he was feeling and they were tremulous behind the opaque silver.

"I also spoke with another DE and very briefly with the Dark Lord and it would also seem that I am under heavier suspicion." He hadn't intended to mention that incident, but the words just seemed to flow out of his mouth. He shook his head slightly.

Remembering something else, he added, "The Weasley twins also managed to sneak in somehow. I caught them and told them to leave, though I'm not sure what happened later."

"Bloody foolish gits." He couldn't help muttering, the drawl returning to his voice, and he rubbed the bridge of his nose.

"I think I've had enough," George admitted, pushing the cup away. "Is there anything to eat? No, wait!" He jumped from his seat and escorted Guin back to her seat. "I still how you a little servitude. Let me find YOU something to eat. Are you hungry? I make a mean... sandwich." His face was hopeful.

Ginny turned on Harry once they were outside, finally free to express herself where Guin, George, and Elizabeth weren't all somewhere nearby. "Harry, I don't want to pressure you, but I'd marry you tomorrow if you asked me. I know we can't do that, and I guess I understand that. But it doesn't change how I feel about you and it doesn't change that everytime you get near me, I feel like I'm going to just burst into flames."

Harry listened to Ginny. What she was saying was awful bold, but it was how she felt... and the truth was Harry would ask her to marry him tomorrow if they weren't so young, if they weren't stuck in this house, and because of a few other things that factored in. "You'd marry me if I asked tomorrow?" He asked in an amused way.

Dumbledore merely nodded in acknoledgement, his face and eyes revealing nothing. He would need to speak with Severus soon but, knowing the man, he was back in his quarters trying to distance himself from anything that had happened before he came to speak with him if nothing pressing had occurred. Hopefully his insistance on Severus going with Sitara had had the desired effect. If Severus would just let himself have what Dumbledore knew he and the two Sinistras wanted...

Shaking himself out of his thoughts he looked back at Draco. "Is there anything else on your mind?" he asked.

"Actually... yes. I was wondering if you might have advice on... my current situation. I didn't intentionally land myself back at Hogwarts, but here I am. I also have other... obligations." The Slytherin boy's face flinched slightly. "I must take care of them as well. However..."

Draco found himself at a lost for words. This had been so much easier to talk about when he had framed it all in his mind...

Ginny was suddenly embarassed by her forthrightness. She tried to play it off. "Well, of course... who wouldn't want to marry Harry Potter, the Boy-Who-Lived? He's famous, he's handsome, and he's so single." Ginny rolled her eyes and turned her back to him. "Don't laugh at me."
