After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

"I say we go for Tonks," Hermione said with a grin. "Now what shall we do? We don't have too many resources, seeing how we are bound to this house... but, you have the Weasley blood in you... any suggestionds?"

"Of course," Tara nodded her head, feeling a bit relieved. "I hate to bother him about something so menial, but I don't suppose he'd want a recurrence of today's events or even something more serious occurring." She noticed the sandwich clutched in Dani's hand and ignored the petulant scowl on the girl's face. "Why don't you finish your meal?" She looked up at Snape to include him in the statement.

Ginny grinned at Hermione's statement. She was sure her parents wouldn't be thrilled to know that Weasley blood equated to mischief and mayhem, but she also knew they wouldn't mind that much. "Oh, I don't know... not something that makes her feel self-conscious about being a bit clumsy. I think she feels bad about that, and I wouldn't want to laugh at her over something she couldn't help. Why don't we go and shorten all of her robes to knee length. Its a little risque, but only the family will see her anyway. I happen to know a hemming spell, and she might not even notice until someone mentions it to her."

"All right... let's do it," Hermione said. She was going to pull a prank on someone... she had never really done that before and felt quite... mischevious. "What happens if we get caught?" Hermione asked "Do you think she'll be mad?"

"Tonks? No... I don't think she'll be mad. I hope it makes her feel like part of the group, actually. But if we get caught... just smile big and look innocent. And blame the twins, of course," Ginny rose from the steps. "Let's do it now while they're all finishing brunch."

Snape walked over to the two SInistra's and picked up his half-eaten sandwich. "Why don't you join us?" he asked, gesturing with his sandwich to the tray still laden with food.

Tara thanked Snape and picked up a biscuit and a cup of tea. She juggled Dani a bit, who seemed quite content to sit in her mother's lap but was really unwieldy for the small woman.

Dani lost her scowl for a moment as she thought about having a babysitter. It could be really bad, someone like Old Mrs. Mumphis who lived next to Alanna. But it didn't have to be... not really. "Maybe Draco could watch me!"

Snape rolled his eyes. The girl was smitten with Mr. Malfoy. Looking away from the girl's face, he raised his eyebrows at Tara, whose daughter was nearly as big as she was. Dani seemed to be precariously perched on the slight woman's lap, barely able to fit. But, they seemed content enough.

Fred muttered a loud, "Finally," under his breath and took long, fast steps back to the mausoleum. But, despite how angry he was, not at George-but at just everything, he waited outside the door for him. He took the mask off and threw it on the ground and then counted to three aloud. "One...two...three..." and they burst in the doors. A man was bent over Alicia's body with his wand outstretched. Fred, pulling his own wand out said, "Don't....touch her."

"Darco?" Tara repeated, looking at Snape with laughter in her eyes. Her daughter wanted the once King of Slytherin House himself to nanny her about Hogwarts? What exactly was the world coming to? "You're doing quite the job in winning my daughter to Slytherin, Severus."

George made sure the man was listening to Fred before he rushed past his twin and knelt beside Alicia's body. She was so small now, whereas before she'd been larger than life. He felt at her neck, but the coldness of her skin told its tale. Alicia really was dead. George looked up to where Fred still was in a stand off with the Death Eater.

"I've done nothing," Snape snorted.

The Death Eater lowered his wand as a wizard with flaming red hair pointed his wand at him. The wizard's twin walked over to the girl to feel her neck. "You're too late, whoever you are," he smirked, lifting his wand once more and pointing it the twin with the outstretched wand. "She's dead and you two fool will be sharing her fate."

Tara raised an eyebrow at him and shifted in the chair so that Dani was sittting next to her as much as on top of her while she ate. "Really? I don't know many children who are raised Muggle that would come to Hogwarts and immediately desire to be placed in Slytherin. I'm sure you didn't mean to, but your charms, and Draco's, have won her over to the green." Tara smiled at Dani and stroked her hair. She wasn't at all sure the girl would be in Slytherin when she got older, but surely it didn't matter.

Fred saw the verdict on George's face of Alicia's fate. That just make him that much more angry and dangerous. "Shut up. Just don't say another word." Fred felt like he was going to break his wand with his grip on it. Sparks were already spewing out of the end of it, then Fred just exploded with curses at the man, the brunt of them hitting him in the face. Fred wanted to rush over and beat him to death, but refrained. He went to George's side and began lifting Alicia's limp body off the ground...Not paying any more attention to the Death Eater on the ground behind them.

The Death Eater was knocked backwards and a bit shocked to have an array of curses shot at him but, he managed to regain his footing and his wand. The two red-heads were going to make off with the body. That was unacceptable. He would not be punished for failing in his duty. Aiming his wand, he shot a couple of curses, one at each of the wizards, slamming them into the wall and causing them to lose their grip on the body.

"Well, most children that come to Hogwarts come in the company of the older children who tend to wag their tongues, biasing the new students before they even step off the train," he countered. "But, it doesn't really matter.... Do you still have my bags from Diagon Alley?"

Tara blinked at Snape a few moments, adjusting to the sudden change in conversation. "Yes, they're in my quarters. I put the book... somewhere safe. I can retrieve them for you once we've finished eating. Or you could come with us and retrieve them yourself." She took a bit of sandwich and watched for his answer.

George hit the wall hard and heard the tear as his left shoulder came out of joint. He was grateful it had just been a blast into the wall, considering that the man could easily have Avada'd them and they would foolishly have never seen it coming. Fortunately, George was right handed, and he raised his wand arm and pointed it at the man, who was too dim witted to have polished them off when he could. Or maybe he liked to play with his victims. Either way, he'd made a mistake.

"You can't have her!" George shouted as the Death Eater moved to Alicia's body again. "Stupefy!" The man hit the ground dully, and George kicked him as he walked past. "You're lucky I'm a gentleman. Fred? I need a hand."

Fred's head smashed the wall, and much anything that happend after that was a blur. His vision was foggy and the world seemed to be turned upside down. He came out of it though at George's voice. Blinking a few times, he found his wand and and stumbled over to him and Alicia's body. They passed the body of the man, and George kicked him. Fred just didn't think that was enough. Concentrating hard, Fred waved his wand, and removed the man of all his clothes, and all his hair, then turned him a nice shade of green.

Fred picked up the other half of ALicia's frail body, and they headed out the open door. George counted to three and they apparated to Grimmauld...

He was torn. Tara's daughter seemed to have dissolved whatever arrangement they had had. But, he couldn't afford to put them at risk by continuing his associations with them. On the other hand, he still needed to present the Sinistra girls with their robes. Which begged the question, why had he purchased them in the first place if he had no intention of putting them at risk.

Snape sighed. "I suppose I could come up to retrieve them."

George landed in front of Grimmauld and managed not to stumble under the weight of Alicia's body. His arm burned and the pain was ebbing and growing even as he stood there. The two somehow carried her up the steps of the house and into the hallway without being seen, but George could go no further. His ribs still ached from the previous battle, and with his new wound, he fell to the floor. The clatter woke Mrs. Black, and the room was filled with screaming and yelling.

Hearing Mrs. Black's screaming, Tonks set down her glasses and walked out into the entrance hall where she met a sight which drained her face of color. She hurried over to the twins who had the body of a girl between them. "Where have you been? What happened? Who is this?" she asked over the screams.

Tara wished she couldn' read Snape as well as she could. But she saw clearly his impatience and desire for them to be gone. Dani had finished her sandwich and was nibbling on a cookie, and Tara placed her own unfinished sandwich down. "There's no need, Professor. I'll have Dobby bring them to you as soon as we get back up there. Thank you for caring for Dani. I'm sure we'll see you."

She seemed angry with him but, he was relieved that he would get his quiet time alone. He still needed to change out of his soiled robes and take a good long shower to symbolically wash away the terrible things he had done today in the name of espionage. "Thank you," he said, sounding more tired than he wanted to let on. "And it was no problem looking after Dani."

Fred was still seeing stars, and the trip back to Grimmauld hadn't helped his situation any. Fred tried to not look down at Alicia's face as they carried her up the steps and into the house. Fred collapsed alongside of George, seeing a new wave of stars and feeling a new wave of anger as the beast on the wall started screaching out. Fred saw Tonks out of the corner of his eye, but he didn't care nor did he hear a word she said.

Fred got up, pulled out his wand, and at the top of his lungs started yellling every curse and spell he had ever performed at the portrait. He was taking out all his frustrations on Sirius's ugly mother...
