After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

Luna yawned and the two girls started following their luggage up the stairs to their room. "We'll get it all sorted later, Ginny," she said, putting the key in the lock and opening the door. "I'm rather hungry and tired right now."

Hermione could see Harry was a little... angry... or disappointed. Being his friend for eight years, she usually knew just by glancing at him what he was feeling at the moment.

Harry leaned against the counter, "She left. She was so angry that she left," He said, sadly. He still could not believe she actually did that. Actually, he did believe it, Ginny was a fierce one, but he did not want to believe it.

The girls enjoyed a simple dinner at the Leaky Cauldron before retiring to their room for the night. It wasn't homey like the Burrow, but Ginny found them very charming - probably a product of feeling free and an over active imagination. She settled into the slightly hard and musty smelling bed with a deep sigh of satisfaction and pulled up the moth-eaten blanket. Everything would start tomorrow. A whole new life as an adult. She fell asleep quickly.

Elizabeth tried to keep herself busy while Harry talked. She had finished making dinner, so she started to put out plates and cutlery. She set out the big bowl of pasta and sauce in the middle of the table and helped herself to a bowl.

Everyone else had some too, then Elizabeth did the dishes, and went to bed exhausted, but she still had trouble sleeping. She stared at the ceiling for a good hour and a half before drifting off into a dreamless sleep

Mr. Weasley explained everything to Mrs. Weasley, she was so upset that Ginny didn't return to the burrow. Said something about sending an owl right away to find out where she went. Arthured consoled his wife and the two went inside carrying the laundry magically folded it up and went to bed.

After dinner, Hermione thanked Elizabeth for a wonderful meal and headed up to Ginny's room, where her extra bed was. She changed and then slipped under the covers before quickly falling asleep.

Harry had trouble sleeping. He just wished that he could talk to or see Ginny. Tonight. If he could just have more organized time and could sit down with her... he was convinced everything would be okay. As he drifted off to sleep, and in and out of consciousness, his thoughts were still filled with Ginny, therefore causing his dreams to be too.

George was up early, fronting and stocking the shelves magically and hoping he could convince Dobby to run the front of the store for the quiet early hours. George wanted some time back in the stockroom to see what could be fixed and what needed to be replaced from yesterday's blast. Dobby didn't like working with the public, though, feeling a bit self-conscious amidst all the wizards and witches. The bell rang at the front of the shop, and he called out, "We're not open yet."

"You're always open to me, git," Ginny called back as she rounded the corner, towing Luna along behind her. She smelled the air and grimaced. "What happened in here? Did you forget laundry day again?"

George made a face at her and continued stocking the shelves. "Ha bloody ha, Gin. We had a bit of an accident. In fact, Fred is off buying us supply to make up for his little... clumsiness. What are you doing here at this hour? Did you have to sneak past Mum or did she make you a four course breakfast? And.. um..." He looked quizzically at Luna. He recognized her, but... what was she doing there? What were either of them doing there?

Hermione awoke early, before anyone, and got ready for the day, pondering over any other pssible locations for the wedding and how she would have to talk to Ginny sometime soon. As she walked into the room where she and Elizabeth had last done their planning, she picked up the book of invitation styles and started looking through it while sipping a cup of coffee.

Luna walked into the Weasley boys' shop behind Ginny. A house elf tried to tell them the store wasn't opened and Ginny scolded him. As Ginny started talking with her brother, Luna's attention drifted to the various objects on the store's shelves. She wandered over to one of them and began examining some of the items, picking them up and turning them over in her hands as she hummed to herself, completely oblivious of anything else that was happening in the room.

Elizabeth slept in half an hour later than she would have normally, she thought it was probably due to the difficulty she had getting to sleep the night before. She got up, dressed quietly, put on her slippers and went down to the kitchen for a coffee. When she got to the kitchen, she realised the jug was freshly boiled, so someone else must have been awake. guessing it was Hermione, Elizabeth got her cup of coffee and walked down the corridoor to the living room.

She saw Hermione sitting on the couch, looking at a wedding book. Elizabeth sat down next to her and said "Good morning"

"Morning, Elizabeth," Hermione said, tossing the book to the side. "I was thinking of maybe going into Diagon Alley today... maybe dress shopping? Would you like to go?" She asked, not yet mentioning that she might want to go visit Ginny.

Ginny looked down nervously at her feet, and George felt suspicious. "Actually, George... we've come to talk to you about the flat. The one for rent. We'd like to live there. I just... you should understand, George. You and Fred needed to get out on your own, and so do I. Plus, I can't bear to go home and stay with all those... wedding plans going on. Do you know that Harry is getting married?"

George cocked his head at his sister. It wasn't possible... "Did you just find out?" The thought made George, who was normally the more easy-going of the twins, quite mad. This was his baby sister, his only sister, and... she looked like she was doing alright. "I can't just let you have it, Gin. Fred and I need the income..."

Ginny interrupted. "Don't be daft, George. We intend to rent it from you. I just need a job first, and Luna has one..." They both turned to look at the girl who was shaking an object next to her ear.

"LUNA!" George tried to spring across the shop to stop her, but the cannister exploded in her hand and out sprang a bunch of monkeys playing musical instruments. George put his head in his hands tiredly. "We'll hire you here, Gin. We need the help. I'll take Luna upstairs so she can see the flat, and you can start now. By cleaning this up." As he spoke, one of the monkeys rolled a bass drum into a display. He quickly pulled Luna up the stairs, leaving Ginny alone in the store with Dobby hiding somewhere.

"Sure. I'd love to. I need some fresh air, sometimes I feel a bit cooped up here. We can visit that boutique we were looking at the brochure for yesterday. I'll meet you back here in 10 minutes"

With that, Elizabeth ran back upstairs, still trying to be quiet. She surmised that Harry and Ron were still asleep, and she was relieved. Harry had been acting kind of strangely last night, and Elizabeth just wanted to have a nice relaxing shopping day. She knew Harry wouldn't want to come anyway. She had a super quick shower and got dressed. She put her shoulder length blonde hair up into a ponytail, applied a small amount of make-up, then made her way back downstairs.

Hermione was ready to go by the time Elizabeth returned back downstairs. "Now... you wouldn't mind if we dropped by to see Ginny really quickly, would you?" Hermione asked. "I mean, she has to meet you sometime, and I know Harry wanted her as a bridesmaid..."

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. I would like to meet her. Are we going to go by Floo powder, or Apparate?" Elizabeth, trying to change the subject. She was sure Ginny was lovely, but seeing the reaction on Harry's face last night, she thought that Harry's future wife might not be top on Ginny's to meet list

"Let's apparate," Hermione said, noticin that Elizabeth might be a little nervous about the whole Ginny-meeting idea. "Don't worry about Ginny, she's really nice."

Ron was already awake just before Elizabeth checked his bedroom. He was deep in thought after what happened yesterday with her one and only sister, Ginny. As soon as Elizabeth exited from the room, he stood up and changed to muggle jeans and shirt. He decided that he would like to visit Ginny, just to make sure she was fine.

He opened the door quietly, looking at Harry who was sleeping. He grinned and closed the door. He sighed and slowly went downstairs, yawning uncontrollably.

Harry woke up later than he normally would have, however, he did hear Ron wlak into the room, probably checking to see if he was awake. Once Ron left, Harry groggily got out of the bed and reached for his glasses. He put them on and suddenly everything that happened yesterday came flooding back into his mind but for the moment, he chose to forget that, and changed, then walked downstairs where he found Ron and the girls, who looked like they were going... shopping.

"Morning Elizabeth, morning Ron, Hermione," Harry said with a yawn as he walked into the kitchen."

"Good morning Harry, Ron," Hermione said with a smile. "We are going to Diagon alley today to go dress shopping... and we might visit Ginny if we have the time. You two are invited to come of course, but you know that the bride's dress can't be seen by the groom until the wedding day."

Most people might jump if something exploded next to their head but, Luna merely turned her quizzical look toward the monkeys now wrecking havoc in the store. Before she could attempt to freeze one of the monkeys in order to examine it more closely, her arm was nearly yanked clean out of its socket as she was dragged toward the stairs. Recovering from the shock, she pulled her arm back to herself and said in a dreamy, yet forceful tone only Luna could pull off, "I am capable of following you on my own, you know."

With that pronouncement, she followed George up the stairs and waited while he fumbled for his wand to unlock the door. "Passwords would be quicker," she muttered, running her her hand down the side of the door frame.

Ginny stomped her foot and looked at the monkeys, who were now flinging fake wands at each other. Halfway through the air, they would change into rubber chickens or other nonsense objects. "IMPEDIMENTA," she shouted, glad for once that charms had been one of her stronger subjects as the monkeys all froze. Picking up the tiny cannister they had come from, Ginny rolled her eyes. There was no way those animals would fit back into the container.

"Dobby," she called finally. "I need your help." Ginny ignored the frozen monkeys and began reshelving the stock with a simple banishment charm. She didn't even know what time the store opened. And working for Fred and George? Did she have a death wish?

George spun around and glared at the dimunitive blond with the big eyes. "You just... my shop... don't talk to me for a minute," he huffed before turning back around and slamming the door open with a flick of his wand. They entered the flat, which was remarkably well-kept considering the owners. There was a large main room with a kitchen off of it and four doors, presumbly three bedrooms and a bathroom. "This is the flat," George said a bit tersely. "Kitchen, bedroom, bedroom, bedroom, bathroom. There. You've had the tour." He turned to leave the apartment, hoping he wouldn't regret letting Ginny and Luna live there. Maybe he should owl Fred first?

“Good morning,” Ron said, approaching the ladies. He heard Harry behind him, turning his back, he added, “Oh, hello Harry. Morning to you too.” Still tired and sleepy, he sat on the chair located near the doorway towards the living room. He rested his head on the table, listening to his friends talk.

He raised his hands, telling Hermione that he would go to Diagon Alley with them. “I’ll go. Just wait up, okay?” He stood up and left the room for the bathroom. He wanted to freshen up his face.

Few minutes later, he went back brushing his untidy (now wet) hair. “How about you Harry? Going?”

Luna put her hands on her hips and pursed her lips. "I would have put them away if you had given me the chance," she said, sounding a bit hurt by his manner. She was used to this sort of treatment but, for some reason, she had assumed Ginny's brothers would have been a bit nicer. Luna turned away from George and began wandering around, surveying the apartment.

George turned and looked at the girl over his shoulder. While she was polar opposites from his sister, whom he loved dearly, there was something about the set of her shoulders and the stubborn tilt of her head that reminded him of Ginny. "Fine, I'm sorry. But this will be a good opportunity for Ginny to get acquainted with the shop. And you can start settling in up here. Do you need any help with your belongings? Where are they?"

ooc: Not to be nitpicky or whatnot, but I'm not sure how everyone is planning a trip to visit Ginny when they have no idea where she is. Yeah. Okay, that was nitpicky.

"And why do you think Ginny is in Diagon Alley, Hermione?" Harry asked after telling Ron that he was planning to go. She had never said last night where she and Luna were going. Harry had assumed she either went with Luna to her home or went to stay at the Leaky Cauldron.

"Well..." Hermione paused. She actually didn't know where Ginny was, but it was always an assumption that she went to stay at the Leaky Cauldron, but she could have gone somewhere else. "I don't know... I just... oh, nevermind, I guess I just didn't think. It was just an assumption. We still have plenty of shoppoing to do."

Ron looked at his two best friends talking about visiting Ginny in Diagon Alley. He had an instinct she would go to Diagon Alley because of his brothers, Fred and George. The owned a joke shop and Ginny might get a job there.

He cleared his throat and said, even before Harry could say something, “I’ll go and help you ladies then.”
