After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

Ginny rushed up the stairs and grabbed Neville into a tight hug. It was gratifying that he didn't recognize her with the black hair, maybe no one else would too... but they'd still be suspicious of anyone entering the shop. "The fool of an Auror who brought you to Grimmauld did a bloody poor job of explaining things to you, Longbottom," Ginny answered ferociously. She pulled him into their apartment.

"Whoever killed Luna has put everyone living in this building in danger, Neville. I'm sorry I pulled you into this, but you need to come with me. Now. We need to apparate back to the street in front of Grimmauld. Can you picture it?"

Neville saw Ginny run up and he gave her a hug. She seemed on edge but serious when she moved him back into his room to talk to him.

He nodded when she asked him to picture the street out side the headquarters of The Order. "I think I've got it," he said to her....."oh, should I leave a not for Dobby, he's been really worried too, although I don't know where he wanders off to."

"Fine, fine..." Ginny agreed, casting her eyes at the door in trepidation. "But we need to hurry. And you can't tell him where we are and..." She thought she heard a noise from the shop below. "Hurry!"

"Yeah, alright..." George led the way down the hall to the room all the girls were sharing. He stared at the four trunks and the clothing already spilling from them and threatening to overtake the room. "Erm... I think this one is hers." He led the way to a familiarly battered trunk.

Christmas had come early in the eyes of Fred. Ginny deserved some sort of punishment for her attitude lately, and Fred couldn't think of anything that better to let her know her place than strowing her underwear in the garden. "Um..I don't want to touch them..."Fred said eyeing the trunk he had just opened. "Let's see..Fred looked around the room, then clamped his hand firmly over his mouth. Hermione. In her bed. Fred pointed to her, trying to get George to look.

Fred tiptoed over to her. She was sleeping peacefully, not stirring a muscle and just looking angelic in Fred's eyes. He shook his head at his own thoughts, but lifted the blanket to cover her shoulders. He grabbed an empty bag and moved quietly back to George's side. George obvisiously was one step ahead of him, and had his wand pulled out already. Fred opened the bag wide, and George sent the underwear flying.

Elizabeth had just started talking about her old potions professor Madame Blonberg when Ginny muttered goodbye and ran out the door. Elizabeth shrugged, not really too sad to see Ginny leave, as the conversation had been rather strained. She resumed chopping vegetables, and kept an eye on the pot of water, which was simmering on the stove.

George rolled his eyes as Fred went over to oogle Hermione while she slept. Once Fred returned to his side and they could FINALLY get back to business, he quickly filled the bag. It disturbed him in a way to see Ginny's underwear. Last he had known, she was still a little girl and her underwear had reflected that. She certainly wasn't a little girl anymore. "This is something I certainly could have lived without seeing," George grunted as her trunk was finally free of all underwear. He didn't bother to lower his voice, and Hermione shifted in her bed.

The two boys moved over to see if she was still asleep. George took the opportunity, while Fred was busy fussing over Hermione's still sleeping form, to levitate the underwear from Hermione's trunk into the bag as well. Maybe a little embarrassment would make Hermione want to stay away from his brother. She ought to realize what she was getting herself into, if Fred wasn't going to be wise about it. "Can we GO?"

"alright, alright, don't rush me," Neville answered , his hands shaking. He quickly wrote out the letter for Dobby and pplaced it behind the counter in an area he knew the Shop elf would look. "Okay, I'm ready," Neville announced, out of breath. GInny grabbed his hand and the two started down the backsteps when Neville suddenly stopped, almost pulling Gin over with him. "Wait, I almost forgot." Neville broke his grip with Ginny's and ran back into his room, grabbed his wand and cloak and returned to grab ahold of her hand for security.
"Alright, I'm ready....sorry" he said apologetically.

Fred agreed whole-heartedly about Ginny's undergarments...the last time he had seen them, they had Pixie and faery prints on them...Fred nodded to George, and they left the room with their bag of mischief.

They went through the kitchen, where Fred grabbed an apple, and left through the back door. Now out in the garden, Fred was already feeling much better. George opened the bag and looked down at its contents. "I'm not touching them....we can use our wands." And the mischief began. Fred was swishing underwear, filling the air multi-colored garments.

"If we die, I'm going to kill you," Ginny muttered under her breath as they hit the street. "Now... do you have the picture in your mind?" At his tentative nod, Ginny released Neville's hand and disappeared with a loud crack, reappearing in front of the house on Grimmauld Place. If Neville appears alright, she will have only been gone about 10 minutes - it was likely no one had even noticed. She took a deep breath and looked around, waiting for Neville to arrive.

George admired a small pine tree he had been working on. It was strewn with several bright pairs of underwear, looking almost festive in the middle of the dark garden. George would never have thought it possible for someone to even create a gloomy garden, but the Black family was serious about their somber hues. "It's kind of sad that it looks better this way," George shrugged. He bit back a grin as Fred flew a particularly bright red pair of underpants onto the low stone bench. Those were definitely from Hermione's trunk.

Neville felt bad for causing Ginny so much of a burden...."I'm trying to see it ," he said but before he could get a good picture of it in his head he heard a crack, and as Ginny let go of his hand, she was gone. Neville concentrated on what he remembered about number 12 Grimauld Place, Worn down shingles, crooked stones steps, chimney was falling to one side, windows all closed......

He closed his eyes and apparated with a soft "crack"

Seconds later he felt his bottom crash on the hardness of a dirt and cobblestone street. He hesitantly opened his eyes and found himself staring up at Ginny, who was waiting for him at the steps to the headquarters of The Order. Neville stuck his hand out and Ginny helped him up, "thanks," he said grateful that he didn't mess this up.

Hermione woke up and blinked a few times, having the distinct feeling that someone had been in the room. Her suspicion proved to be true as she got up from the bed, which the covers had been pulled up, and saw her trunk open. She steped anxiously over to it and peered inside, looking frantically through her clothes. She realized what was missing and started to leave the room in a hurry, thinking she would find Ginny and ask if she knew anything about it.

Hermione passed the bedroom window on her way out and saw something that surprised her and made her heart sink, as well as her cheeks flush. She stormed out of the room and downstairs, and outside to where Fred and George were. "What are you doing?!?" She looked at them both in disbelief and she felt a burning threatening her eyes.

Ginny was so relieved to see Neville that she almost swept him into a tight hug without even considering where they were. She decided to hold off, knowing that the two of them weren't safe even yet. Pulling Neville up the steps, she closed the door behind them in and turned the lock with finality. "We made it," Ginny whispered, careful not to wake Mrs. Black. She jumped on Neville, wrapping her arms around his neck and squeezing him tightly.

George was a bit disappointed to see Hermione, considering he wanted to be wrapped up and long gone typically when a prank went down. It didn't matter though, because the look of wrath and humiliation gave George a moment's pause. Ginny was used to these things, plus she had Weasley resiliance. Hermione was an unwilling victim in all this. Still... if she looked at Fred like that, she wouldn't be looking at him in any other way... George stepped back so that the brunt of her fury was focused on Fred.

Harry had been sort of aimlessly wandering about the house when he thought he heard someone come in the front door. He walked to the entrance of the house and saw Ginny and Neville. He gave a quiet cough and said, "...Hello..." The position of which they were in surprised him in a way, but it was Neville, after all. "Did you go out somewhere, Ginny?"

Ginny dropped to the floor and stepped away from Neville as if she was burned. "Harry!" Ginny's voice was too loud, but she dropped it immediately, grateful they hadn't woken the portrait and brought the whole house down to watch. She gestured into the drawing room and both men followed her in. "Look... look who's here, Harry. Its Neville. He went back to the apartment for a bit... but now he's back." She conveniently left out the part in which she left safety and manually retrieved him.

Harry nodded to Neville in greeting but quickly turned his focus to Ginny, "How did he get here? He didn't have help from anyone, did he?" Harry asked, hoping neither that Ginny had gone out nor that she would lie to him.

Ginny scowled at Harry. He wasn't going to let it lie. "He sent me an owl and I returned one. I guess that could qualify as help, I guess." She hoped he wouldn't prod any deeper. She was only just skating the line of truth and fiction now.

Harry stared at Ginny. She obviously didn't want to give anymore details, and Harry wasn't going to pres the matter. At least not here and now. Maybe he'd get the chance to talk to her about it later. "Well, that's good then..." He nodded to Neville again, "Good to see you, Neville..."

"You know George....just how many pairs of underwear does one person need? Now I know why we went with out new robes for years...Ginny has to have three pair of underwear for every day...and four for the weekends."Fred laughed, but continued on...until Hermione showed up...something that he wasn't expecting..Sure Hermione would be all against them decorating the garden with Ginny's things, but she was looking lived. "Aw...come on Mione. Ginny deserves a little punishment. And you have to admit...the garden looks better than it ever has before.."he said sending a particularly bright green pair into a bush then spreading his arms wide, admiring their handiwork.

Hermione stared at Fred and felt tears now threatening to fall. "They're not all Ginny's!" She said, frantically grabbing her own underwear from various trees and bushes. She started to storm away, but then turned back and slapped Fred on the cheek. "I can't believe you..." She turned to George and did the same, but didn't say anything, just glared at him.

Neville felt himself being dragged up the steps and into the house. "Where did Ginny get all this strength," he thought to himself. As he entered the old run down house though he heard a familiar voice and was dropped from the hug Ginny was giving him. It was Harry. "oh, hi Harry," Neville answered. He was about to explain how Ginny had come back to the shop and retrieved him but he detected a look from her that said, "please, no details" so he stayed quiet while Ginny danced around the truth.

Fred stood dumbstruck-him mouth open, his cheek stinging, with no clue what had just happend. Not all the underwear were Ginny's? Why would Hermione keep her underwear in Ginny's trunk? Fred would just never understand girls. He glanced over to George. Something was up here....Fred knew that look. George was behind this, he could read that look better than he could any book. He was veryfamiliar with it, and used it at least two times a day himself. But, he couldn't be too mad at George..it WAS brilliant....but something told Fred that George had other motives.

Fred ran after Hermione, grabbed her hand and stopped her. His heart dropped as he saw the tears rolling down her cheeks. "Oh Mione...don't cry..." Fred lifted up the hem of shirt and wiped away the rolling tears. "I...well I think you have lovely underwear." That really didn't seem to help things. So Fred took another route. He took her by the hand again and took her out of earshot from George and sat her on the steps to the porch. "Look..I didn't know they were yours. I wouldn't of done that to you, Hermione. I wouldn't of....," he said using his fingers to wipe away the tears this time.

George stomped along behind Fred and Hermione, rolling his eyes. Fred was being a total moron over a silly little girl... a girl who was friends with their youngest brother. She was a sweet and, George supposed, pretty young thing, but she wasn't for Fred. Why was he being so oblivious?

"Excuse me," George brushed past the two of them on the steps rather rudely. "I'm going to go find some mischief on my own. And I won't feel the need to apologize needlessly for it." He slammed the door and glanced at Elizabeth making dinner in the kitchen.

Hermione wanted to be mad at Fred but she couldn't help but believe him; he looked so sincere and he was being adorable. She watched George pass them in a huff then turned to face Fred again. "So... why are my underwear out here?" She asked, her eyes still a little wet, and trying to fight the thought of how she wanted Fred's hand back on her face. He was so sweet to wipe her tears, she decided.

"Well..."Fred tried to think of a good reason as to why Hermione's undergarments were strewn all over the garden. He decided to with the truth. "...to be honest. I have no idea why your underwear are all over the garden. I was under the impression that only Ginny kept her underwear in that trunk." Fred shrugged and ignored George as he stormed past. WHat was up with him...and what mischief..Fred didn't want to miss mischief...

"I'll clean all this up. Don't worry about it....and please don't cry." Fred pulled Hermione close to him and rolled her into a tight hug. "Now you sit tight and watch. I'll have this fixed in no time. " Fred got up and started summoning all the underwear to him. He tried to ignore the fact that some of these underwear were in fact Hermione's and the lack of fabric on some of these....it was disturbing. He felt his cheeks flush as a particular skimpy pair flew his way and he put it in the pile. He was dying to know if was Ginny's or Mione's...but knew better than to ask.
