After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

Fred and Hermione apparantly had it all figured out, so Fred just kept quite and stuffed his face with as much pie as he could. He watched Hermione carefully, and she hadn't touched a bite yet.....She obviously didn't trust his cooking.

Fred had just shoved another huge bite in his mouth when George offered to re-enact the Ginny-Harry kiss, and made a huge spectacle, that was ignored, of choking. Fred and George both were huge flirts, but with Hermione? She was pretty....but she was Hermione. The same girl that threatened to give them detention every other day in their last year at Hogwarts. Hermione was just not for Fred, but if she floated George's boat, then Fred guessed that was ok....

Fred, finally catching a second to actually get a word in between the two, " I think hexing his lips off is a most superb idea. Maybe his groping hands as well...." Fred said waving his own around. Fred got up and moved went to look out the window. He looked up the street then down the street. He squinted in the distance....Surely that couldn't be.....it was.

"GEORGE! Come look at that snake! I'm going to go kill him!!" And Fred started pulling on his robes...

Harry handed Guin to cone after he paid and she felt pretty much as gleeful as a child. She felt so foolish acting like this but she couldn't help it. "Oh why not outside, it looks a bit crowded in here anyways." She told him with a smile as she walked out of the store with her cone in her hands and eating the ice cream extremely slow, savouring every moment as if her last.

Hermione was startled out of her thoughts when Fred yelled. She got up and walked to the window, equally as surprised as George seemed to be. That girl looked familiar... had she gone to Hogwarts? Yes... her name was... Guin, as she recalled.

They walked into the sunlight and Harry looked at Guin with a smile, it was good to be with an old friend again.He noticed she seemed to be enjoying her ice cream, that made him glad. They ate in silence, and when they were done, Harry noticed Guin had some ice cream near her lips. "You have..." Harry pointed on his face to where it was, but she seemed to not understand, so he took his finger to her cheek right next to her lips and wiped it off for her.

George himself pulled on his clothes, feeling as if he were moving in a dream. Surely Harry wasn't the cad they had all been pretending to believe he was. Harry seemed so upstanding and honest, but there he was in front of Florean's standing closely with a woman and touching her in an almost intimate way. As soon as they were both dressed, they headed down the stairs of the shop, Hermione right behind them.

Ginny honestly felt her heart break when Harry reached out and touched that girl's face. She had always thought she would get angry in a situation like this, one in which the man she loved, the one who said he loved her, proved to be false. But she wasn't angry, she was hurt and she felt absolutely sick to her stomach. She needed to get out of the street before she revisited her breakfast and made a public spectacle. Fortunately, the twins' shop was right across from the ice cream shop, so she hurried through the door, ignoring Dobby's call to her and running right into someone on the staircase.

Fred was the first down the stairs, taking them all in almost one leap. In his rush he didn't see Ginny and the two had a major collision. Fred picked her up from the floor. "Sorry Ginn....I didn't see you....." He passed her on to Hermione, "Here you take this.....George, let's go." And before the two girsl could say anything else edgewise, the twins had the door open and the little bell ringing.

They appeared in the street, and it was like one of the old cowboy movies Fred had seen in Muggle Studies. It was a showdown, Fred and George against mystery girl and Harry two-timing Potter. "I'll pull the girl away, and you may have the honors of beating the stuffing out of him.."

"Thank you," George replied, glad he got the more satisfying job. The two young men moved with purpose across the street. "Oy, Potter," George called. "I told you what would happen if you hurt my sister, didn't I?" Harry looked up and had no time to react before Fred had moved the girl away from him. "I should do this properly like a Wizard, but the Muggle way is so much more worth it." He hauled back and slugged Harry right in the jaw, knocking the younger man down. George stood menacingly over Harry, daring him to get up.

Ginny was shoved into Hermione's arms as the twins ran off to go injure Harry... or whatever they planned on doing. Hermione set Ginny standing up and looked at her. Her eyes looked dim. "Ginny... what's wrong?" Hemrione asked, althought she knew perfectly well, "Are you okay?"

Guin had been so into her ice cream that she didn't notice Harry had swipped a bit of ice cream of her cheek, "Oh thanks." She smiled. Then about seconds later both Guin and Harry seemed to be faced with the Weasley twins, they looked mad. Guin was pushed off the seat and was held back by who seemed to be Fred by what his brother called him. "What...? What the...." And before she knew it Harry was slugged and Guin let out a small scream. "Why'd you go do that for?" She yelled at George. Guin was so confussed.

Harry was on the ground, his face seeming to be pounding with pain before he knew what was going on. His eyes watered as he attempthed to open his eyes, his glasses sideways on his face. George was standing above him looking very grim and intimidating. He blinked and mouth wordlessly and painfully.

Ginny looked at Hermione without really seeing or hearing her. She felt like she was separated from her body, and that was a good thing. "I'm fine," she said, almost without even realizing that she had responded to the question. She blinked. "Hermione?" Without another word, she melted into tears on the other girl's shoulder.

Fred had grabbed the girl probably a bit harder than he intended to, and immediately loosened his grip on her arm and waist when she spoke. Fred also realized who the girl was.....Guin, the girl that had been with Bill.

"George did that because Harry is a brainless git that doesn't seem to be able to withstand from hurting my little sis. He's lucky that's all he's getting...."

"Get up Potter...you look like a fool laying there in the street. Care to give us another elaborate explaination of what you're doing with her?" he said nodding to the girl he still had a grip on.

Hermione held Ginny against her as she cried into her shoulder. It would appear as if she didn't know why Ginny was doing this, so Hermione tried to look surprised. She was quite glad that Ginny couldn't see what Hemrione could, for she saw one of the twins punch Harry in the face and Harry fall. Her stomach gave a little jolt and she twitched, but didn't say anything to Ginny.

Guin was confussed but then the confussion subsided when she remembered something, didn't Ginny have a crush on Harry during their school days? With that aside Guin looked at Fred with a serious look and poked him, "I do have a name thank you. And we did not do anything!" Guin yelled so that George could possibly hear. "I think you both have it so wrong..." Guin said rolling her eyes and sighed.

Ginny pulled back abruptly, trying futilely to wipe her eyes and compose herself. Hermione didn't know about her stupidity over Harry, and this would all seem very bizarre to her. "I'm fine," she began but a glance from Hermione had her looking over her shoulder, where George was standing over Harry, who was holding his face and sitting on the ground. She may have been mistaken about Harry, but she still cared so much for him and afterall, this was between the two of them.

"George, no!" she was yelling even before she was out the front door, trying to stop him from taking older brother vengeance too far.

George was prepared to go after Harry again when suddenly Ginny was shouting and hanging from his arm. "Get off, Ginny," he grunted, trying to shake her loose.

Hermione sighed as she watched Ginny run to where all of the commotion was. She walked slowly to where they all were, not wanting to be in the middle of anything.

Harry slowly got up. Seeing Ginny's face gave him mixed emotions. At first he felt so happy, like he could smile, but he couldn't, physically. She seemed to be hurt and Harry's happiness faded. Had she seen Guin and he? If so... she couldn't have thought they were being anymore than friendly. "Nothing was going on..." Harry said, holding his jaw. "Aren't I allowed to have friends?"

Fred was still clutching Guin, even through the very hard poke he had just taken from her in the ribs. "Sheesh woman, give me a break. Can't you see I'm a little preoccupied with the scummy object of affection of my little sister? You'll forgive me for my informalities....Guin."

Then Ginny came out. It hurt Fred to see her so upset. He couldn't decide which girl to hold back, both seeming not to care to give him a good poke, or in Ginny's case a kick, whenever they felt. But, he kept his grip on Guin.

As Harry finally got to his feet, and started muttering his idea of a good excuse, Fred felt a new surge of anger flow through him. " I hardly call caressing Guin here just friends. Potter....frankly......you suck. Ginny deserves so much better than you..."

Ginny turned on Fred, ignoring the scene they were making on the street. This would so appear in the Daily Prophet tomorrow. "Weasleys Attack Boy Hero" "Why don't you let ME decide that, Fred? Who made you King of the Weasley Clan?" Despite her blotchy face and red eyes, her eyes sparked with anger and she looked more like herself.

She turned to Harry. "You have to admit it looked a bit incriminating, Harry. We were gone for three days, and we return to see you with this girl, eating ice cream, and... you touched her, Harry. It looked familiar." Her words seemed to accuse, but the tone and the look on her face said clearly that whatever Harry told her, she would willingly believe.

"Ginny!" George tried to put her behind himself, wanting a clear shot at Harry again. "You don't have to talk to him; we'll take care of this. That's the whole point of having big brothers. We weed off the gits and leave you with brother-approved men."

Snape was on his way down to Knockturn Alley when he saw a crowd begining to form out in front of Florean Fortescue's. He sneered at the sight of the Weasley twins; they were complete nightmares. Hurrying past before he could get caught up in the.... Rolling his eyes and sighing, Snape stalked into the middle of the commotion and dragged Potter to his feet. "What do you think you're doing?" he hissed in Potter's ear. "You shouldn't be exposing yourself like this. There are other people risking their lives to keep you safe," he continued, sounding bitter.

Letting go before he aroused too much suspision, Snape sneered at the children who seemed caught up in some drama or another before sweeping down the street, making a turn, and disappearing down Knockturn Alley, his cloak, billowing out behind him.

Guin sighed and rolled her eyes again and almost poked Fred again but controlled herself and spoke aloud for all of them to hear. "Seriously people...Harry and I didn't do anything! I just got here yesterday from Egypt and today all I wanted to do was get ice cream. Sheesh one year away from home and ice cream is all I wanted I never knew it would end up like this!" Guin ranted to them. "And anyways why in all hells are you hurting him? He just broke his wedding off for goodness sakes!" Suddenly all was clear about Harry and Ginny.

Everyone froze, including several random by-standers who were really paying too much attention to their conversation to be polite. George lost his defensive stance and Ginny could slip around him so that she was standing right in front of Harry. She stopped short of grabbing him and kissing his face off, however, because she knew she had just wounded him with her lack of trust. Her face was full of hope and she whispered, "Really?"

Harry was quite surprised when Snape seemed to appear out of nowhere, and he blinked a few times, in confusion, watching him walk away. His mind returned to the situation at hand as he heard Guin defending him and saw Ginny very close asking if she was telling the truth. Harry nodded, looking Ginny in the eye. It felt better not to talk, and sometimes words weren't the best way of communication.

"Wait a second!" Fred said, letting go of Guin and stepping in front of her. "What do you mean the wedding is called off? One day your engaged, the next you aren't? And what the devil did Snape just do? You all are just too much for me...."Fred scratched his head and looked around the group, then took a few steps away...

Ginny was at a loss for words. She heard Fred yelling and shook George off when he grabbed her shoulders. The look on Harry's face was precious to her, and the world closed down until they were the only two people standing on that street. A part of Ginny hadn't dared to hope that all of this talk with Harry, all her years of pretending that someday they'd be together, and all of his sweet kisses had actually meant something. Ginny wanted so much to be in Harry's arms at that moment, but she knew that the Wizarding world was watching them and that already the actions today would soon be public knowledge. Poor Harry- always on center stage.

"Do you want to go into the shop?" Ginny asked, pointing at the twins' store.

"No, Ginny," George grunted and crossed his arms. "I don't want him in my shop." He knew he was being a bit petty, but he was confused. There was little in the world that frustrated George like being confused. He felt better because Fred looked equally lost, and the girl that Fred had just been holding was just looking thoroughly disgruntled.

Guin was about to hit both of the twins now but with held and stood by Fred arms crossed. Since the boys seemed to be getting on her nerves Guin spoke up to George, "Don't be such a child! Let them go in, they need to talk. Sheesh the things guys know nothing about." Guin then pushed both Harry and Ginny together and towards the shop. They both stood confussed and where about to go after them when Guin poked them both in the back, "Let them be." She added.

"But....that.....our....wait...."Fred was standing close to George now, mouth agape, trying to form some explaination for what was going on. But before Fred could string a couple of words together that made any sense whatsoever, Harry and Ginny were off into his shop, with Guin pushing them from behind.

"George? What just happend here? Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that our shop and our little sis both being over taken?" He said pointing." I knew we should of moved to the States; we might of gotten a little more respect there...Who does that Guin chick think she is? And Potter?? I need a drink.
