After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

A smile crept across Luna's face and she laughed. "Oh, I'm certain he meant it, Ginny," she said and then, turned to start deciding where to put things away in the kitchen.

"Well, that's where you come in, smart girl. I need you and Ron to clear off for a while, and take Elizabeth with you. Or leave Elizabeth to Luna and I. Luna is helping too. I'll just use my Weasley charm on her, and she'll follow me around until we've figured out what needs figuring out." George looked at Hermione thoughtfully. "I knew you had it in you, 'Mione."

"Yes, dear, I'm sure you're right," Molly accepted the hug from Harry, then made him stand in place as she tried futily to flatten his hair. "And I'm sure Ron will find someone nice. And I'm sure whoever Ginny marries will be lovely as well. Maybe that nice Dean Thomas. I DID like when she was bringing him around."

Ginny grabbed a stack of pots and pans and lugged them after Luna. "You think so?" she said hopefully. Her expression turned dark quickly. "He can't just love me all of a sudden, Luna. He's engaged to Elizabeth."

Luna gave Ginny a look of amused exasperation. "Do you really think this was just sudden?" she laughed, turning back to putting away the kitchen equipment. "And, as if you kissing him wasn't clue enough, how do you feel about Harry?"

"Ugh," Ginny groaned. "I love him. I'm totally and completely batty," she pounded her head on the counter several times before discovering that it really hurt. "Did we just leave Hogwarts yesterday, and all this has happened to us in one day?" She shook her head, but discovered that made her now aching head hurt much worse. "Next thing you know, you'll be taking up with Malfoy, Luna."

Luna gave a snort. "I don't think I'll dignify that with a response.," she said, stretching. "We really need to find another flatmate. I wonder if we should put up some signs or... Isn't Neville Longbottom working around here? Do you know if he's found a place?"

Ginny squinted her eyes in thought as she tried to recall what Neville had told her before he left before the Leaving Feast. "He was trying to get a job in a shop in Diagon Alley, so he could be around here somewhere. I suppose he might be looking for a place to stay. There really aren't that many flats here; mostly just families that own the stores and little shops." Ginny looked in the now empty box. "Shall we go and find out?"

The day went by quickly and before she knew it her and Bill were having dinner and then it was worning. Guin was still dumbfounded about hearing that Harry was getting married and during dinner Guin made sure to ask Bill tons of questions. But sadly to no avail Bill knew as much as she did making her wonder even more about this 'new girl'. All she knew was her name and that harry and her had hit it off from the beginning. Even though, Bill and Guin seemed to be both wondering about Ginny...Guin had been told by Bill that she had found out just the day before. Guin knew ever since her Hogwarts days that something was on between then and this sudden engagement made her want to go back even more.

Another day at the site began and Guin couldn't wait till she was back at home.

Luna brushed her hands together as they finished and looked over at Ginny. "Alright," she said. The two girls straightened up a few things on their way to the door, locked the flat with a password, and wandered downstairs through the shop in order to exit the building.

"Okay, I suppose that sounds reasonable enough..." Hermione said with a smile, "I'll think about this and maybe we can come up with some more details." This would be perfect. Hermione told herself that she was not trying to sabatoge a wedding in any way at all, but was acting as a sort of messenger of true love. "So, how are you finding Luna?" Hermione asked, she knew that Luna was somewhat strange and wondered wat the other Weasley boys thought of her.

Harry looked over Mrs. Weasley with a forced smiled on his face. "Do you know if she's with anyone right now? Is she still with Dean?... he's nice..." He said, still setting silverware next to the plates on the large table.

Ron stood up from his chair and said to Elizabeth, “So what do you want to do? Sit around?” He pushed the chair inside the table. “We better follow Hermione or we could walk around or we could go back at the burrow and wait for them.” He pulled out of his hands, remembering something. “Sheesh, I have to go to the medical shop. Stay here if you want.”

He escaped from the bar; going directly to the new opened shop. He entered inside and felt something cold. But then, a warm breeze passed him. Creepy, he thought. He smiled at the shoppers and walked towards the counter.

George smiled. "Lovegood? She's something totally different altogether. I haven't figured her out yet but..." They were interupted by the sound of feet on the stairs. Turning, George watched as Ginny and Luna trudged past, looking dirty and sweaty but bent on a mission.

"Ginny? You do realize that when I hired you to work for the store, I wanted you to stay here and do things?"

Ginny stopped short on her way out the door. "We're going to find ourselves another flatmate. You know... more money for rent that goes right into your pocket." Ginny smiled warmly at Hermione, who had been one of her closest girlfriends during her fifth and sixth year at Hogwarts. The Common Room had been remarkably bare her seventh year with the Trio and the others in their year gone. "Hey, Hermione. How's it going?"

"Ginny never tells me anything. I only find out who she's dating through second hand sources most of the time. And, seeing as how she's been away from her brothers and you for a whole year, none of you have any fresh gossip for me. She could be engaged herself and no one would be the wiser," Molly shook her head in exasperation at her daughter's willfulness.

"Well, Harry, dinner is nearly ready. What did you say you did with the others?"

"Hey Ginny," Hermione said, smiling back, "I'm kind of busy with planning and the sort. How are you? We should really get together for a day... Ihaven't seen you in so long..."

If Ginny was dating soemone else, she would have told him, Harry thought, then answered Mrs. Weasley, "They were eating lunch when I left, I think, but they didn't really say when they would be back..." He looked unsure as he surveyed the food she was preparing and the set table.

Ginny's eyes lit up. She had worried that Hermione might not want to be friends anymore, just as she had worried Harry wouldn't want to, but here it seemed they were both being friendly. "That sounds lovely. I'll be here in the shop most days if you want to stop by and kidnap me. You're welcome to come with us now. We're hopping down to see Neville." George looked a bit murderous and Ginny grinned cheekily. "You never said we had to have female flatmates, Georgey."

"Well, I suppose we can keep it heated until everyone shows up. We'll be done soon, anyway. Did you all manage to get your shopping done, or do you think you'll have to go back later in the week?"

Luna hung back a little from Ginny, her eyes wandering to the shelves, as she spoke with George and Hermione. She laughed at the look on George's face when he heard who they were considering as a flatmate. "We should probably get going before the shop closes," Luna observed.

"No, that's alright, I planned on getting some shopping done, but I guess I'll just go back to the burrow soon... plus," She added, looking ack to George, "We were having an interesting discussion."

"Well, I think they got the dress, naturally I wasn't involved in that..." Harry sighed and messed up his hair again, "This wedding stuff is stressful.

Ginny shrugged and left the shop with Luna, waving at Hermione. "I didn't think Hermione had enough in common with George to hold even a passing conversation. Ah, well... do you know the name of the shop he's working in?" she asked Luna.

George watched the two girls disappear down the street before turning back to the intriguing Miss Granger. "Now, madam, where were we? Ah, yes, you were about to impart to me one of your brilliant schemes and make me marvel at your quick mind."

"Well, of course, dear," Molly laughed as she rolled her eyes over Harry's hair. It was a natural extension of his own stubbornness, and she'd have to accept it along with the boy she considered just like her own sons. "Weddings are very stressful, but the goal is always there. You know that you'll have a lifetime to be with the one you love and to unwind from all this stress, so it doesn't seem nearly so bad."

"Well, for this one, I think I am going to need some time to think on it..." She looked up at him, she could tell he thought that this type of plan would work, "Do you really think this will prove what we're all thinking?" She asked.

A lifetime to be with the one he loved... it hit him. Was he ready to spend a life with Elizabeth? Forever? "What if... well... is loving spending time with someone and loving their personality the same thing as true love?" He asked Mrs Weasley.

George shrugged. "Either way, it does some good. In the long run. If they spend time together, and Ginny figures out she doesn't really want to be with him, then she's over him. If she figures out that she does and he does too, then they can be together. The only problem is if she figures out she loves him and he doesn't love her back." He looked at Hermione closely. "You're his friend. What do you say? Does he care for Ginny?"

"You know better than that, Harry. You love Hermione that way, but you wouldn't marry her. There's a difference. The quality of the love is all different... you can feel it. Not to mention attraction and chemistry. Those have to be there too."

Harry went over a sort of checklist in his head. Well, he was attracted physically and otherwise to both Elizabeth and Ginny. As for Chemistry, he felt that Ginny and he had a little more than himself and Elizabeth But for the last one, as for just knowing and feeling what true love was, Harry didn't know. He had never experienced it before. But there was something about Ginny... it showed through when she kissed him. She was fierce, unpredictable, and Harry realized, impossible to give up. "Right... love is a good thing," He said outloud.

"Honestly, George, I really think that he cares for her. He doesn't tell me all his deep dark secrets, but we women have a certain amount of instict... intuition you could call it, when it comes to these things. And then there's the whole thing where he hasn't seen her in a year..." She thought about it, then said, "I don't know, it's complicated, but I think you're right, doing this could only end up positive."

Molly looked at Harry strangely. He was acting so peculiarly, and as much as she had been trying to ignore it and keep up with his line of thinking, she just couldn't get past the fact that he seemed to be wrestling with something. "Harry, dear? Is something the matter? Can I help you with anything?"

George grinned at her in a winning manner. He opened his mouth to speak, but a family entered the shop and he stepped out to assist them. He shot Hermione an apologetic look before proceeding to take them around the store and then ring them up. Once they were gone, he turned back to Hermione. "We need to get started soon. I was thinking of owling my brothers, but I want to wait until Fred gets back."

Something was the matter, but Harry didn't think that he could tell Mrs. Weasley or she could help at all. "No, Mrs. Weasley, why do you ask?... I'm fine," He said, trying to convince her. He didn't look her in the eye because he knew if he did, that was it, she would know, and she would persist in knowing what was wrong.

As George was helping the family, Hermione watched him, he was certainly cut out for this work. He was very polite to the family and was patient with the young child who insisted on touching everything in the store. When he returned, Hermione said, "Alright, that sounds good... I should probably go now... you know, back to the Burrow."

Ginny and Luna entered the shop that was cluttered with plants and planting supplies. Neville knelt on his hands and knees beside a large plant with lovely blossoms. "Neville!" Ginny called out, hurrying to his side. "We have a proposition for you," she added without preamble, reaching out one hand to stroke the blossom he was working on.

"Alright," George said agreeably. "If you think of anything, go ahead and owl me. You could also owl Luna, but she's living with Ginny and it might get a bit tricky. I'll do the same if we need your help with anything."

Molly had to let Harry keep his secrets. He was an adult and had a right to it, even though he looked a bit miserable. "Alright, dear, but you know I'm here if you need anything? Why don't you go ahead and get the beverages prepared while I finish up?"

"Okay, thanks, George," Hermione said, leaving the shop and feeling slightly evil. Here she was doing something that she would have never thought of doing. She had to be cunning... like a spy. She aparated back to the Burrow and walked in, ,completely forgetting she wanted to do other shopping in the first place.

"Alright, thanks, Mrs. Weasley," He siad as he started to get glasses out of the cupboards and Hermione walked in. "Hello," He said to her, "I'm assuming the others will be along soon, then?"

"I guess," Hermione shrugged as she said hello to both Mrs. Weasley and Harry, "I kind of left to do some other things."

Molly greeted Hermione warmly. "I don't understand how you all got separated. Harry's been back ages. He's been helping me get dinner ready like a dear, and he even had time to talk to Ginny in the garden. I didn't realize that Luna was such a nice child."
