After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

"Yes, you'll be leaving as soon as the others get here," Dumbledore said, noting that those present had all of their belongings (at least those who had some left). "I've taken the liberty of having some of your and Ginny's things brought over to the house from your apartment, Miss Tonks. I'm afraid, however, that it was a bit too much of a risk to go back to Grimmauld Place and get anything that was elft behind there.

"Not clue," Ginny replied in confusion, but the door swung open for them. They climbed the spiraling staircase to find a group waiting for them in the office. "Erm... what's going on?"

George studied the two of them before finally responding. "We're changing locations again. Some of your luggage is coming from Tonks' place but the rest of us have to figure out that stuff again. I"m getting really tired of it."

Tonks looked over and smiled as Ginny and Harry walked into the room. Only two more left and they could be on their way. "Where are Fred and Hermione?" she inquired, hoping they would hurry up; she was anxious to get going.

"You know, Mione. I think you're right." Fred steadied Hermione, and hopped down off the bed. He turned to offer her his hand to help her off, then they were off. Fred gave the girls' dorm one last wistful look, and down the stairs and out of the Common Room.

"Can't be sure, but let's go knock on old Dumbledore's door. See if the others are already meeting with him. " Fred intertwined his fingers with Hermione's and lead the way down to the second floor.

"Changing locations? To where? What about all of our stuff at Grimmauld place?" Harry asked.

Hermione traveled with Fred through the halls until they came to Dumbledore's office. The door was open and voices could be heard form the office. They went up the stiars and walked into the office to fidn the whole lot of them standing there, minus Ron. "What's going on?"

"I'm afraid your things will have to remain at Grimmauld Place until such a time as it is safe to go back and retrieve them. In the meantime, I have taken the liberty of making sure you have a few necessities," Dumbledore replied in answer to Harry's question then, he turned to smile at Miss Granger. "Ah, good, we're all here. Now, it's time you were all off and safely settled in the new house. Just remember that once you leave the protection of the house, I cannot guarantee your safety..."

George turned at the entrance of his twin and gave both Fred and Hermione an intense look of concentration before turning back to Dumbledore. "None of us would be foolish enough to leave the house, sir. Not this time. And despite your claim that there will be nothing there to give us away this time, we'll be on our best behavior." He nodded and grinned and Dani, bouncing her on his knee."

"Where are we going?" Fred asked, sitting himself down in one of the bigger chairs, and pulling Hermione with him. "And here I thought we were going to be camping in your floor, Sir..," Fred said jokingly. "George and I have always wondered who would win in a pillow fight against you..," Fred said, looking up to Dumbledore.

Dumbledore smiled at George and then, Fred. "I think you might find me a worthy opponet," he winked before standing up straight and walking over to a cabinet where he extracted a large inflatable ring. He placed the ring in the center of his desk and said, "Now, gather round everyone and take hold so I can activate the portkey."

Tonks stood up and took hold of the ring at the same time Professor Snape had done the same. She smiled at him as he sneered at her and then, she turned her attention to George. "You coming?"

George flashed a quick smile before putting his hand on the ring as well. "Consider the alternative. Staying behind here... alone." He watched as Tara helped Dani to put her hand on the ring before adding her own hand.

Ginny eagerly stepped up to the ring and added her own hand. Perhaps this next place they were to stay in would be better than Grimmauld had been. Of course... Harry didn't know what he was up against if he thought she was merely kidding about wanting to share a room with him.

Fred lifted up Hermione and they both walked over to join the others. "I like this. It's like a blind adventure. Going somewhere.. but not a clue where!" Fred placed a hand on the ring and his other around Hermione, waiting for the jolt.

Once everyone was touching the ring, Dumbledore tapped it with his wand, "Portus," and the group disappeared. he smiled and sat back behind his desk.

Snape looked across at Tonks and had just enough time to nod at Tara before he felt the tug at his navel and they were transported to a fairly large kitchen.

Tonks loved all modes of wizard transportation and port key was no exception. A lot of people disliked it but, she actually enjoyed the strange pulling sensation in her stomach. And despite her clumsy tendancies, she had mastered the ability to remain on her feet once she arrived at her destination. She let go of the ring and began to survey her new environment like a good and observant auror. "Know your environment," had been one of the mantras instilled in her during auror training.

George landed on his feet and noticed immediately that Tonks was taking in the room around them. Taking his cue from her, he pulled out his wand and eyed the room warily.

Ginny looked around and smiled at Tara, who was fussing around Dani. "This is a nice change of pace." The house, or what they could see so far, was open and airy, and Ginny figured she could willingly spend whatever remaining time here. As long as they weren't stuck in a hole like Grimmauld.

"Yes, I think this house will do quite nicely." Tara couldn't move past her mothering instinct, and Dani had had a long day. "I don't mean to be a spoilsport, but perhaps we should organize the room situation so that Dani can get to bed now."

Snape did not want to get involved in whatever debate there would be over the sleeping arrangements. So long as he got a bed in a quiet room, he did not care where anyone else slept. Of course, he wouldn't mind staying with Tara but, he figured she would know his preferences so he decided to look about this house Dumbledore had arranged for them.

Tonks brought her gaze over to Professor Sinistra. "How many rooms did Dumbledore say there were?" she asked, scratching her head while she thought about the sleeping arrangements. "We could do boys in one room and girls in another with private rooms for the professors..."

"We could all just sleep together in one big bed. Us Weasley's are all about tight spaces and sharing beds. Would be a unifying experience," Fred said, resisting the urge to drape his arm on Snape. "I guess I'll share with George."

"Now, wait..." George protested, not keen on sharing a room with a million people if he didn't have to. "There are five rooms. Even if the professors get one each, that leaves three rooms. You stick all the girls into one and all the boys into another, and that leaves ONE room. I think Fred and I should get our own room."

"You can't have your own room, twit," Ginny piped in. "I want to share a room with Harry."

"How about Fred and George in one room, Harry and Ginny in another room, Professors Snape and Sinistra get a room, and that just leaves Hermione, Dani, Ron and I with two rooms to split between us," Tonks suggested.

"Um.. No. No you will not be sharing a room with Harry," Fred looked over at Harry as if daring him to protest. "Absolutely not. I won't have it and if I have to stay up all night in the hall guarding doors I'll do it. No way. We'll George's way. I'm for it and he's for it and our votes count two each so we win."

I still don't have the faintest as to where they are.

"Fred's right, Ginny love. If you won't listen to your older brothers, who have the power to tie you up or dismember your boyfriend, then you should think of what Mum would do to us if we let you share a room with Harry. We should have Fred and I in a room, Harry and Ron, Hermione and Ginny, Tonks and Dani, and the professors in the last room. And that's what we'll do."

Ginny stomped her foot and squeezed Harry's hand tightly. "That's idiotic. Harry can share a room with me, Fred can share with Hermione, and Ron can go in with George. Don't tell me what'll we do as if you are in charge." Ginny looked to where the two professors stood.

Tara didn't want to get dragged into the middle of this fight, so she averted her eyes and made a show of rummaging through the cupboards to check supplies.

"Fred and George Weasley have spoken, Ginerva. Don't act like a brat and do what you are told. You will not be sharing a room with Harry and that's that." Fred nodded significantly towards her. "Don't make me and George embarrass you in front of all these people.."

Ginny frowned severly at all of them and crossed her arms, her chin jutting out stubbornly. "I'm not a child, and there is little you could do at this point that would embarass me. You aren't giving anyone else in the room a chance to answer. What if Tonks wants her own room? What if Ron and Harry don't want to share a room? Why do you think you're in charge of me or anyone else?" She looked at everyone else, hoping someone might come to her aid.

"I don't see why she can't share a room with Harry," Tonks spoke up, moving stand by Ginny and placing her hands on her hips. "And I don't really care where I sleep, but thanks for thinking of me, Ginny."

Fred glared at Tonks. "You want to do the exact opposite of anythign we say. If George and I would have said, 'Please go jump in the bed with Harry', you wouldn't have done it. You're spoiled and bratty and I'm just not sure what we are going to do with you. I don't want to deny you going with Harry now.. becuase you're likely to leave again." Fred sighed and walked over to her, and wrapped her inot the biggest hug ever, making sure there was absolutely no way she could wiggle away.

Ginny looked up at her older brother and put her chin on his chest. "I'm not spoiled and bratty, I just love him and want to be with him. If you say no, then... I'll listen to you, but I'm not going to run anymore. That was stupid and I realized how much it scared me when I didn't know where Harry was this morning. I couldn't put you through that. Now... can I breathe please?"

ooc: Let's just assume Ron IS with them... I was stupid and totally neglected to post him. Sorrry. =/

Harry took to studying his surroundings while Ginny argued about the sleeping arrangements. Sure, he wanted to be in the same room as Ginny, but he was afraid that if he spoke up he might not be around to be able to do so....
