After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

"An emergency test of what?" she asked, skeptically, though there was a twinkle in her eyes. "Oh what the hey? Sure, I'm game."

"I need to test out if you'll still let me kiss you," George responded quite seriously, cupping her face with both his hands. He waited a moment before he moved in and brushed her lips with his own. "Do you feel the need to beat me?"

Tonks giggled. "Um... no... Should I?" she asked, her hands placed on his hips to steady herself. He was actually a good kisser and if it hadn't been for the age difference... It wasn't that great but, it still gave her pause.

Ginny frowned at Harry. "You thought the old one was love too, Harry. I wish you wouldn't even joke about me losing you to another woman. Except I wouldn't be as passive as Elizabeth was. I'd scratch her eyes out and seduce you again. You wouldn't know how you'd be able to live without me."

Tonks wasn't pushing George off and she looked happy enough, but there was trouble written around her eyes. "You wouldn't promise that you'd let me keep on kissing you, so I thought I'd make sure you were still happy about it. I was considering testing you out all day." He smoothed a furrow on her forehead with his thumb. "You look thoughtful."

Tonks shook her head and looked up at George, smiling. "I was just thinking about how you tasted with mustard," she lied; she knew she was being unfair with the whole age issue. "I think I'd like to taste you with ketchup sometime. Maybe we can have chips with supper."

There was a tinge of dishonesty to what Tonks was saying, but George was too affected by her words to really consider it. "You should taste me with chocolate," he murmured before releasing her and grabbing up her hand. This was a bit frightening to George considering that he was rarely serious about a girl. But Tonks made him feel deadly serious and completely goofy at the same time.

"Oh, I wouldn't want to ruin the taste of good chocolate," she laughed and walked over to the broom closet with George. She pointed her wand at the lock and the door swung open. "Now, let's see what Madame Hooch has got in storage for us."

Ginny gave Harry a look that clearly said she thought he was mad. "Who would I run off with, Harry? Neville? Snape? Dumbledore? I've loved you since I've known you. How could anyone compete?"

George pulled two of the nicer school brooms from the mass. That was saying something, since most of them were outdated and well-worn. "It isn't looking good," George handed her the better broom and headed off for the pitch.

"It's better than nothing," Tonks said, optimistically, putting a leg over the broom and kicking off from the ground, not bothering to wait until she got to the pitch. The first thing she noticed, after getting over the exhilarating feeling of being airborne, was the fact that the hair flying into her face was black. She immediately rectified the situation by changing it to a spikey purple and then, took off to try and fly loops around George.

George laughed as Tonks looped him before he climbed onto his own broom and took off behind her. "I'll race you to the posts," he shouted over the wind. She was already up to speed but facing the wrong direction and George took off like a shot.

"Fred - King of the Girls' Dorm." He gave his chest a pop with his chest to make him look and soundly manly. "You - Mione - Queen of Girls' Dorm" he motioned for her to stand up with him and beat her chest too.

Snape looked up at a clock on the kitchen wall. "We have a couple of hours yet, before we need to speak with Dumbledore. Perhaps it would be wise to begin packing; I suspect we'll be moving to whatever hideaway he's constructed relatively quickly after its location is revealed," he said to Tara while looking at Dani who was being fawned upon by the house elves.

"No fair!" she cried, pulling her broom around and taking off after George who had a considerable advantage considering the fact that she had already been going quite quickly in the opposite direction. She was catching up and lay herself flat on her broom, stretching her hand out so until she grabbed onto the tail of George's broom.

Tara nodded and rose. "Are we all going to the same place again? I find it hard to believe we're easier to hide in a large group, but I"m sure Dumbledore feels safer knowing we're all around to protect one another. Regardless... Dani!" The girl looked over and rose to her feet, dropping house elves off of her lap. "We're going to go and pack what we can so that we can move tonight. We might have to make a stop at the Room of Requirement though, because a lot of our robes and clothing were left at the house." She thought about the few toys Dani had brought from her old home that were left there as well.

George felt his broom slowing and he looked over his shoulder. "That's cheating, Tonks! You can't catch a ride with a speed demon like me." He leaned forward and pulled into a steep dive, hoping she'd let go out of fear.

"So?" she shouted back at George. It took everything she had to keep hold of his broom when he took to a steep dive but, when she started sliding sideways off her broom, she allowed him to slip through her grasp, abruptly stopping her decent by pulling up hard on her broomstick. She watched as George finished executing his dive before breaking out into applause.

Harry laughed. "Well, I did always see Snape as a threat to my love life. I can't really pinpoint it, but I think it may have something to do with the greasy hair and batlike qualities of the man...." He said.

Hermione giggled and climbed up on the bed with Fred. He looked so silly standing there, and she would bet she did too. She stood with him, a smile on her face, but she didn't beat her chest like he did. That was just a little too silly....

George pulled up and looked over his shoulder. Tonks was stopped and was clapping for him. He gave a dramatic bow, acting as if he were about to fall off the broom before looping over and coming up again. Swooping around to fly beside her, he laughed aloud. "That's so illegal, Tonks. Do you cheat at everything?"

They entered the castle and Ginny linked her arm with Harry's. "You figured me out. I"m in love with Snape, but I know I can't compete with the beautiful Professor Sinistra. So I'm settling for you, even though you're merely sexy and handsome and the love of my life. Not to mention that you're quite the lover."

"Me? Cheat? I never cheat," Tonks said, faking a look of complete bewilderment while she shook her head. "You never gave any rules to how we were supposed to get there and you were the one who started the race while I was pointed in the wrong direction."

George shrugged. "I'm a blatant cheater. But you're supposed to be the good girl. What's sacred in this world if the good girl cheats?" He gave a mock sigh of dispair. "You've ruined all my ideals."

"Now whatever gave you the impression that I was a good girl?" Tonks replied. She reached out and patted his shoulder. "Poor George had his world come crumbling down."

"I do not know what Dumbledore had in mind but, it seems we are all going to the same place," Snape sneered at the thought of being cooped up with the children again. "Shall I meet you in your room once I've gathered my own things?"

ooc: We need a plot.

Something where everyone gets involved and stuff. Like, I know there's the whole Bella/Snape/Tara thing that I want to see resolved but, how does that fit in with everyone else? hmmmm.... Perhaps a kidnapping of young Dani would get Fred and Hermy, Harry and Ginny, and George and Tonks out of their personal love bubbles and interacting with other characters. It just seems so blah when we have 9 characters to RP and they are all paired up and hardly ever interact with anyone else, even when we try to get everyone together in the same place... *brainstorms*

How about... they nab Snape and then whoever is with him.... or nab someone in an attempt to get Snape. We can see how that scene plays out. Then everyone can band together to go retrieve them, which means we'll need to have some clue as to where they are. Otherwise, we'll wander around in circles. Then we can go save them, kill Voldy, and end this thing... or something like that

George laughed and pulled his broom into a steep dive. He pulled out of it just above the ground, rolling off his broom and landing on his feet. "Come down, Tonks. I hate to shout at you."

She was amazingly nimble on a broomstick, despite her clumsiness on the ground, and mimiced his movements exactly until both feet were on the ground and she started walking over to him, tripping over the broomstick she held in her hand. Tonks laughed and sat on the grass, pulling some of it up and throwing it toward George. "What were you going to shout to me?"

George pulled a handful of grass and put it in his hair. "I was going to tell you how adorable you looked with the wind ruffling your long dark hair, but then I realized you'd changed it back to something outrageous." He fell backwards in the grass. "Why do you do that?"
