After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

Ginny sat up and straddled Harry's legs, leaning in close enough that her face was mere inches from his. "You find me boring, Harry? That's a bad sign. Oh well..." She hopped off his lap and flipped her long hair over her shoulder. "Where shall we go then? We've lived here for seven years. It isn't exactly like there are new things to find."

"I don't find you boring," Harry said, standing up and going over to Ginny. She had tempted him with her brief seductiveness, and now she was playing all innocent-like. And he didn't like it. "I actually find you quite... captivating." He gave her a kiss.

Ginny kissed him back with more energy than she intended. "I know I'm a tease, Harry, and I don't know why you put up with me. I'm so scared by how much I love you. It just doesn't seem right that someone like me should belong to someone like you."

Ginny scrunched up her nose and cocked her head to the side. "Well, I probably won't be adorable for very long. I'll get old and cranky. And you'll still have to love me." She put her hand in his and pulled him towards the door. "Now... where shall we go?"

George grinned and put his hand over Tonks' on the quill. "One. Two. Three." He felt the pull on his stomach at the world swirled wildly around him, until finally he landed on a grassy hill. "Central Park, Tonks?"

Tonks shrugged. "I couldn't very well have us just appearing in the middle of a crowded store, now could I? Just because we're in another country, doesn't mean we can just forget about secrecy," she said, somewhat seriously. "Now, which way is it?" she asked, looking around, stepping in some trash, and falling on her backside. "Ouch. Not that way, I know that much."

George gave his hand to Tonks, helping her to her feet. "No, its over this way." He tugged on her hand and tucked it under his elbow before leading her in the direction of the toy store he had in mind. "There it is," he pointed to it once they exited the park, pointing across several lanes of traffic towards a huge building with a giant teddy bear in front.

Tonks allowed herself to be escorted along by George. She didn't get as many strange looks as she usually got in the office, the people of New York had a broader view of what was acceptable for hair color. "Oh, I know this store. My cousins went absolutely mad in there when we were visiting, they're muggles, you know?" she said, stepping up to the crosswalk and waiting for the light to change.

"I forget that your Dad was a Muggle. I bet you know loads of useful things about living and working with Muggles." The light changed and George headed across the street. "You know, the first time Fred and I ventured out in Muggle London, I almost got run over by one of these cars. They aren't much like the Knight Bus. Do I look Muggle enough?"

"Oh he's not a muggle, he's muggle-born. All the same to my mother's family though," she added offhandedly and quickly grabbed at the new topic. "I think you look perfectly muggle. The great thing about New York or London is that you could wear pretty much anything and people wouldn't think anything of it. Might think you're a bit odd but, that's about it."

They had reached the other side of the street and George looked down at his clothes. "I wanted to look normal, but I'm still wearing Snape's pants. I usually only try to look odd in the Wizarding world. Don't want to stand out too much out here. Now... where should we start in there?"

"I'll love you no matter what. Because you always be that girl who I met when I was twelve at King's Cross," Harry said, walking to the door with her. "We could go visit the squid. Oh, I know! We can go to the Quidditch Pitch."

"Let's start with stuffed animals. I loved my stuffed giraffe when I was Dani's age. Plus, they are just so cute," Tonks said, wiggling her nose and smiling, tugging on George's hand and pushing open the door to the enormous toy store.

Ginny laughed and poked Harry in the gut. "You were eleven. And... I don't have a broom with me." She swung his hand and followed him out the door anyway.

George followed Tonks through the store towards the stuffed animal. "A giraffe? You don't suppose they have any hippogriffs or chimaeras, do you? 'Cause those are the kind of stuffed animals I had." He picked up a pink and green dragon and looked at it quizzically. "They're kidding, right?"

Tonks giggled at George's reaction to the stuffed animals. This was going to be quite fun. She couldn't wait until he saw the remote control cars and aeroplanes... "Actually, George, you have to remember that we've tried very hard to cover up our magical secrets. Besides, they do that to everything," she said, holding up a purple horse.

George grimaced and picked up a furry pale blue dog. "I like this one. Its soft and it kind of reminds me of Dani." He rubbed it against Tonks face before tucking it under his arm. "How many of these should we get? Oh... a unicorn." He found a unicorn with a gauzy, shimmery material for wings.

Ginny dropped his hand and turned to walk in front of him, backwards. "You lie again, Potter. When I was 10, I was all elbows and knees and freckles. If you remembered anything, it would have been my inability to speak around you or my penchant for sticking my elbow in the butter. I don't know when you changed your mind, but I don't think it was love at first sight for you."

"I don't know," Tonks shrugged. "But, there's still a lot of store left and I'm not sure how much muggle money I brought with me."

She quickly patted herself down, looking for her money. After checking all of her pockets, she remembered the small one inside her right front pocket. "Okay, here we are... Except it's not American. I wonder if they can exchage it here..."

"Don't worry about it, Tonks. I was poor my whole life, but the store is doing pretty well. Let me do this for Dani." He pulled out a square of plastic. "They call it a credit card. You can get one at Gringott's now in the Muggle currency department. Its the most amazing Muggle magic I've seen." He tucked away the card and pointed at a huge doll house. "Oooo."

"Oh, you don't have to pay for all of it, George, I'll give you some galleons when we get back, they're a little too bulky to carry around in these jeans," Tonks said, looking at the card. "I never knew about those, though I think I remember seeing people handing them to my uncle at his pizza shop..."

She stopped talking when she realized George wasn't really paying attention to her, but was gawking at doll house taller than Dani. "They have lots of toys that are wicked expensive that no one would ever buy here," she said, walking around it. "But, it is rather magnificent, isn't it?"

"Yeah..." George listened to Tonks words, but he still stared at the dollhouse, and then at a different one next to it. "But I still want to buy it for her. That would look great in the corner of her bedroom. What do you say, Tonks? Can we buy her a dollhouse? A big one?"

Tonks smiled at George. He was too cute and so sweet with his wide eyes giving her a look of desperation, as if Dani might die if she didn't have a large dollhouse. "Sure, but why don't we find one a little more our size. Dani would need a stepladder to play in that one," she laughed and walked over to one about a quarter of the size (still huge) that looked almost like a small Hogwarts. "I think she might like this one."
