After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

Tonks gave George a playful punch in the shoulder. "You aren't broken and there's no way I'm kissing your butt. I'm happy because..."

She got up and shifted the suit of armor to the side. Then, she pointed at the handle, "I found this. What do you think it is?"

George stroked his chin and stared at the handle. "Ah, yes, my dear Tonks. I've seen one of these before. I believe the natives call it a handle." He grinned at her and reached down to pull it.

"Why thank you, Sherlock," Tonks replied and poked her head in the door. She choked and pulled back out. "You'd think that the house elves would get in there to clean every once in a while, no matter how dead the man is."

"Augh..." George covered his face as a cobweb hit him. "Do you think anyone would notice if I did a few cleaning spells? My mum taught me well." He whipped out his wand and removed some of the dust and webs.

"Why, George Weasley, I never would have thought it of you," she replied, stepping into the room to admire his handywork. "I'm a mess when it comes to those domestic-type spells," she said, poking her wand at the desk and getting about half of the dust to disappear while the rest just blew up into her face. She sneezed.

George sneezed as well. "Come on, Tonks. Leave the housework to the men," he joked and cleaned up the rest of the dust. "I don't know what I'd want to see in here. I mean... he's dead. He doesn't use anything in here. He's barely interesting enough to wonder about." George gave a sigh and sat down at the man's desk.

"Well, maybe there's something interesting in here from when he was alive," she said, moving to one of the dressers and opening a drawer. She quickly shut and headed for the door. "On second thought, I think I'd like to see what Professor Sinistra's tower looks like."

George jumped to his feet and followed Tonks out the door. "I know where that is. What was that about? Get the creepy ghost willies?"

"No and I don't want to talk about it. You can go back in there and see for yourself if you want but, I'm heading for the astronomy tower, assuming that's where her quarters are?" she inquired as she moved swifty from the room.

George overcame his desire to see what had spooked Tonks and followed her towards the tower. "You have to go in first. I've already seen more of Snape than any man should. Sinistra isn't bad looking though." He felt that he was rambling and pretty much talking to himself, so he stopped.

Tonks stopped short and stared at George. "You don't mean... Did you really? Were they... at the same time or different times?" she shook her head and then, waved her hands in front of her, shaking her head. "No, don't tell me, I don't want to know. How...? No, nevermind, I don't want to know."

"Steal my glory?" Harry said, puffing his chest out in mock proudness, "You have no chance... no one is as good as Harry Potter at being an auror.... especially since I sort of failed my first written test they gave me anyway," He added, laughing.

Hermione laughed. "You were not supposed to test your little... puking pastilles or... fainting fancies or nosbleed nougats or whatever you were testing on the younger students! Or any student for that matter. I was just doing my prefect-ly duties, Sir Fred," she said.

"I suppose you're right. George and I used to be so immature. But now we've grown up so much, you know. Why, we haven't tested anything on anyone for like a whole week now!"

Fred hopped and pulled Hermione with her. "I want to see the girl's dorm. I don't think I ever made it up there successfully. But I'm not a student now, so the magic shouldn't get me." Fred looked determinedly at the stairs and headed towards them.

"How many times did you try to get up here?" Hermione asked, running ahead of him and ascending the stairs. She went about half way aup and turned around to watch him, seeing if the stairs would let him up.

George looked at Tonks with a light of amusement in his eyes, although he grimaced. "Whatever you think it is I'm talking about, you're right. You can't imagine the horrors of it. Whatever could the good professor be thinking? Snape?" He gave a full body shudder and ran right into a wall.

Ginny laughed too. "There is no way I"m letting you help me become an Auror, Mr. Potter. I don't want your poor test-taking skills to rub off." She frowned then and added, "And I don't want anyone's favoritism because I'm associated with you. If I'm going to do this, it'll be on my own merit."

Tonks just stood in the hallway with her mouth slightly open. What an awful thing to have walked in on. And what was Professor Sinistra thinking? "I suppose everyone deserves to have someone," she mused, covering her mouth to prevent herself from laughing when George walking into a wall. "Oh, George, are you okay?"

She ran over to him and put her hands on his shoulders, standing on tiptoe to stare at his face and see if he'd hurt himself. She'd had her fair share of broken noses from walking into things.

George put his hand over Tonks' on his shoulder. His voice was quite serious when he asked, "Why is it that when I'm with you I'M the clumsy one? I'm going to get quite seriously hurt pretty soon and you haven't done so much as tripped over the stone floor." He shook his head and smiled easily, breaking whatever serious moment might have existed. "Maybe Snape DOES deserve to have someone, but should it be someone as pure classy as Professor Sinistra? If she weren't so much older than me, maybe I'd take her out myself."

Tonks wrinkled her nose at him. "I'm not clumsy all the time, you know. I can go whole days without incident... sometimes. And Snape and Sinistra... Maybe there's something Professor Sinistra sees in Professor Snape that none of us can see because we're too busy concentrating on his being so bat-like and mean and nasty, and greasey-haired...." Tonks slowed her speech and her eyes went wide.

She blushed furiously and covered her mouth. After regaining her composure she said, "Good morning, Professor Snape."

George bit his lip and grabbed Tonks around the waist as he spun to see Snape standing behind him. "Good afternoon, Professor. I'm glad to see you made it back to the castle safely. I trust you found the signal from Fred? Good. Now, sir, if you'll excuse us, I'm just showing Tonks here all the broom closets in the castle." He turned to look quite seriously at Tonks, leading her down the hall a bit. "Now, this next one, Tonks, is great for hiding from Filch in the middle of the night. We even used to store some snacks there just in case. There's lots of room for any... maneuvering you need to do as well."

Tonks blushed at George's excuse for why they were up there, though she didn't know why but, she played along. She nodded as he described the ammenities of the cupboard and cast a quick glance over at Snape out of the corner of her eye to see him standing there will his arms crossed, watching them. "Maybe we should look at the broom closets in the next tower, George," she suggested.

"No, no, my dear Tonks," George assured her. "This is the best broom closet of the bunch. I'm sure we're not in Professor Snape's way. He's probably on his way to see Professor Sinistra to... discuss the morning's events. And SHE'S IN THE KITCHEN," he shouted over his shoulder loud enough to make several portraits jump and a suit of armor to drop its mace. George winked at Tonks and pulled her further down the hall.

He didn't bother to speak with Weasley nor Tonks. They weren't worth bothering with, even if they were snooping around Sitara's tower. When he heard that she was in the kitchen, he waited until the two were around the corner before heading in that direction.

"That was subtle, George," Tonks replied as she was dragged down the hallway. "But, really, is your nose okay? I've broken mine a couple of times on some nasty walls. They just jump out in front of you sometimes."

George sank onto a bench and put a tentative hand on his nose before giving Tonks puppy dog eyes. "Will you check it? It really hurts. I'd hate to ruin my good looks, but worse... if it sets wrong, then Fred and I won't be identical anymore. How will we fool people if my nose is crooked?"
