After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

Hermione smiled back at him, trying to seem calm and cool. But, inside, her heart was beating abnormally and she felt herself starting to get nervous. "Okay... well, if they're allowed..." She said, looking up at him expectantly.

Fred didn't wait for her to change her mind, closed his eyes, and lowered his lips to hers. He paused, his lips just a second from hers to savor the moment. He wanted to forever imprint the moment when his lips met hers. Finally, Fred kissed his Mione. He brought up one of his hands to hold the side of her face, as he kissed her lower lip, then her upper lip...

Even though Hermione knew he was going to kiss her, it still surprised her. Never, in her whole life, up to about two months ago, had she ever imagined being kissed by Fred Weasley. She just kind of stood there, butterflies in her tummy, and feeling kind of dumbstruck, and began to kiss him back, feeling oddly self-conscious of her kissing skills. Fred had had all of those girlfriends... and she had, well... Viktor... and Ron.

Fred had kissed... a fair few girls in his time. Some good.. some bad, but not one could come close to comparing to the one he'd just had. Finally, not wanting to over do it, even though he probably could of kissed the rest of the morning, he pulled back. He opened only one eye to have a peek at her. Her rosy red cheeks brought a smile to his face once more.. "Nice to see I'm not alone in the nervous department.. though, I have to say, you have nothing to be nervous about..," Fred said, rubbing his thumb over her chin.

Hermione smiled and laughed a little bit, trying to rid her nervousness. "You don't have anything to be nervous about either..." She said, taking his hand in hers and swinging their joined hands back and forth.

Fred grinned his usual goofy grin, and took Hermione in his arms once more. He just couldn't seem to be able to keep his hands off of her. Fred wanted to squeeze her into two. "Hermione Granger.. you have made me one very happy guy today." He pressed his lips to her forehead, and stepped back. "How about, now that I have that off my chest, we go down and join the others for a bite to eat. And maybe we can dig me up some proper clothes..," he said pointing to his bare chest under his robes.

Hermione nodded, and smiled. She'd do anything Fred wanted her to do, even if it was leaving this now so important and romantic place. She made sure she got a little glimpse of his bare chest before the started to head back to breakfast with the others.

"I saw that..," Fred said, a mischievous grin spreading across his face as he motioned to his chest. He laughed and wrap his arm around her shoulders and took to the stairs. But, like Fred so often did, he changed his mind, and instead of turning Hermione back towards the others, he turned and took a left, heading towards their former home, Gryffindor Tower..

"Fred, where are we going? The kitchen is that way..." Hermione said, as Fred steered her down a different corridor than the one leading to the kitchen. It looked like they were headed towards Gryffindor Tower. "Are we going to Gryffindor Tower?" She asked with a smile. It would be great to see their old home again, but, how would they get in?

"Well..yes. I changed my mind. I want you all to myself today," Fred said, sliding his hand down her arm to link his fingers with hers. "Old Fred just has to remember that secret way in.. If I only had that map." Fred said, stopping and looking left, then right. "Maybe we can sweet talk the Fat Lady..," and Fred started up the moving stairways.

"Good day, lovely Miss Fat Lady! You remember ole Fred? Sure you do..Well, if you wouldn't mind, I left my lucky tube sock in my old dorm. Do you think we could run up and get it real quick?"

"Password?" she replied.

"She's not going to let us in without the password," Hermione said, turning to Fred. "Maybe we should just go somewhere else.... Oooh! We could go to the library... oooh, or, you know, we could just ask dobby the house elf for the password, I'm sure he would-" Her words were cut off by the portrait giving a sueak and opening up, showing the too familiar entrance into the Gryffindor common room.

Fred looked down at Hermione, then to the open entrance, then back to her. "You know, I knew there was a reason I was so attacted to you." Fred crouched down in front of Hermione, so she could hop onto his back. "Let me do the honor of carrying you in, my brilliant girl. Then we can retrieve that magical tube sock, I left here so long ago."

Hermione laughed. "Oh, so you were serious about the tube sock? I thought that was just a way to try to convince the fat lady to let us in..." She did like Fred requested, and hopped onto his back, so he was carrying her, piggy-back style. She wrapped her arms around his front, holding on tight as they enetered the room.

"Would I joke about lucky tube socks?" he asked, carrying inside. Once again, for the first time in so long, Fred was inside the Gryffindor Common Room. Hundreds of memories flooded back as he glanced from the comfy sofa's, to the fireplace, to the tapestries he and George had once used as magic carpets. He let Hermione slide off his back, as he took it all in once more.

Hermione felt like squeeing with excitement. She ran over to her favorite chair that she would often sit in and do homework by the fire while Ron and harry tried to do their homework. She sat down and smiled, then pointed to the fireplace with her wand and lit a fire there. Everything seemed liek home.

Fred watched Hermione with utmost admiration as she crossed the room, taking it all in again. His eyes wandered themselves, over the fireplace, the large window in the back, the stairs up to the dorms.. He kind of wished George was here to see all this with him...

Fred crossed the room and stood beside Hermione's chair.. "Mind if join you, my fair lady?" he asked, bowing his head.

George had been goofing off with Dani for quite a while now. Her mother wandered in to gather breakfast, and George let the two of them speak quietly about the morning while he eyed Ron and Harry suspiciously. Why in the world were things so crazy that he was the most responsible one in the room, aside from Tonks? Tara's hair was wet, and George was smart enough to know what that meant. Must be nice to have someone to take a bath with after a hard day. And Ron and Harry smelled like alcohol. Ginny wasn't all bad, but she was making a fool of herself over Potter. And what WAS that hanging out of her pocket? George sighed and put his head on the table.

"Not at all," Hermione said, scooting over as much as she could, leaving plenty of room for Fred on the oversized, comfy chair. She stared into the fire and let out a deep, happy sigh, looking around the room. "It's quite nice to be in here."

Harry finished his breakfast and left his dishes on the table, glad that tghe house elves were there to clean up. He put his feet on the table and sat back, relaxing. He gave his stomache a pat and smiled, "Now I remember how much I missed Hogwarts food."

"Don't act like this is a pleasure trip," George scowled at Harry, then at Ginny, who was making faces at him. "I'm still mad at you for leaving the house. We all almost died while looking for the two of you."

Snape finally walked up to the Headmaster's office to discuss the morning's events. As usual, Dumbledore was calm and understanding, quietly accepting the fact that he no longer had an inside man. He seemed more concerned with Snape's well-being than anything else. After discussing their next course of action, he was excused and made his way back down to the dungeons.

Harry snorted. "Died, huh? How tragic. We were just out having a good time, away from that dreadful house. There's only so much one can take before Sirius's mum along with the dustballs that hide in every corner start to get to you." He took his feet down off the table and turned to Ginny. "Want to go for a walk?" He asked.

George scowled at Harry and Ginny's departing backs before turning to Tonks. "Don't worry about it, Tonks mate. You can't blame yourself for irrepressible idiots like us." He patted her hand before scowling at the door, a house elf, the toast...

Ginny jumped to her feet and grinned gratefully at Harry. "Yes, let's walk. I can't take all the glaring going on, considering how we're lucky we all got out of there. Let's go somewhere and do something that we can't tell my brothers about without them killing you. It'll be fun." She stuck out her tongue at George and pulled Harry from the kitchen.

Harry left with Ginny and once they were free of annoying brothers, he asked her, "So where do you want to go? It might be nice outside... we could take a walk by the lake or whatever." He started walking towards the entrance hall, without waiting for her to answer, knowing she owuld probably want to. "Or we could stay in here and explore a little bit? Not that there's musch left to explore after living here for seven years."
