After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

Snape hadn't realized how much he needed Tara's touch until he had it and he didn't want it to end. But, all things end and it seemed the good things, the enjoyable things, always ended sooner than the trials, the pain, and the unhappiness. He tried to forget what had happened earlier that day, and had succeeded for a while, but now that he was laying in bed with Tara cradled in his arms, one of her arms draped across his chest, he couldn't help reliving it.

Tara watched the worry crease Snape's brow, and she put up a gentle hand to press the lines away. "You're thinking about things. What in particular keeps you comingback to that pensive, desparate look?" She curled against him, maintaining eye contact as she hoped he'd tell her something that she could actually help him with.

"Bellatrix Lestrange," he sighed. "I've behaved foolishly and recklessly, like some lovesick Gryffindor. I should have known better than to compromise my standing by being seen with you in public and staying with you at Grimmauld Place."

She stroked his temple with light fingertips. "We're all entitled to a bit of selfishness in our lives, to a bit of tunnel-vision where we forget about the consequences and live for yourself for a bit."

"And now you can? I'm not suggesting you're only thinking of yourself, but what's fair about putting aside any of your own desires for all of the greater good? Why does the happiness of everyone else mean that you have to be unhappy? Do you feel there is something wrong with us being together?" She shifted away from him a bit to better read him.

Tara made a face at Snape and rolled even farther from him. "If you've given up on life and on your ability to make a difference, then there's nothing I can do to change your mind." She grinned devilishly then and rolled back to throw an arm and a leg over him. "But if you think you've done everything... I'm not done with you yet."

Snape caught the mischeiveous look in Tara's eye and actually felt himself smile. "So, you aren't done with me, yet? And what possible use could you find for an ex-spy now in hiding like me?" he asked.

She propped her chin on his chest and considered him carefully. "Well, I could keep you penned up in my quarters to be my own personal slave. Or I could figure out a way for the both of us to be useful in the Order. Or I could just love you and see how that turns out. What do you think?"

"I think I could stand your last proposal," he replied, brushing her hair back from her face. "Though you do have me quite intrigued. What sorts of things would you be ordering me to do if I were to become your slave?"

Tara grinned at him with that same mischievious smile and sat up, reaching for her robe again. "You'd bring me breakfast in bed every day. You'd bathe me... you seem pretty good at that already." She shrugged into the robe and worked on the buttons, her back to Snape. "You'd polish my telescopes. You'd braid Dani's hair. And if you didn't, I'd tie you up." She turned and winked at him before rising from the bed.

"Somehow, I get the impression you'd like for me to refuse," Snape said as he stood to dress himself. "I suppose it's time to check on the children..." He wondered if he was really needed for that venture. Though he was loathe to allow Tara to leave him, he didn't particularly wish to deal with them right now... or ever again.

Tara saw the look on Snape's face and smoothed it back again. "Will you stop making that sour face? You're making me feel like I should offer to be YOUR slave for a while. Why don't you go tell Dumbledore all about what happened while I check on the children?" She patted her stomach. "And I'll get some more food, since I"m hungry again already."

"I might be inclined to make my 'sour face' more often with offers like that," he managed to joke, pulling on his robe. "I'll go speak with Dumbledore and we can meet again later. Hungry again? Have I been poor host?"

Tonks had been enjoying her pancakes, sitting next to the little girl who seemed quite content when she heard George start to explain what had happened. Tonks put her elbows on the table and leaned her face into her hands while she shook her head. Her hair turned from spikey purple to a shoulder-length black as she tried to fathom what had happened that morning.

Fred hung back while the others sat to have some breakfast. He caught Hermione's hand before she followed him, and held her back with him. They slipped away pretty unnoticed. Fred put his finger to his lip and they snuck out the back, and out into a corridor.

Looking both ways first, Fred led Hermione off to have some alone with her.. "You alright?" he asked, softly as they hurried along.

Hermione shivered as they entered the cool hallway, but kept a firm grip on Fred's hand which was warm enough to heat the rest of her body. "Yes... I'm fine. I'm just confused as to what really happened. I was really worried about you. You are okay, right?" She didn't wait for an answer before she embraced him tightly in a hug.

Fred was taken a back at first, with Hermione taking him in her arms. But, he quickly wrapped her up tight in his arms. He picked her up and spun her around, then placed her back down on the ground. "I don't think I could be better," he said taking up her hand once more and pulling her along. "I'm not trying to rush you.. but I am. I've got somewhere I want to go before the sun comes up properly..." Fred hurried her along and towards a place he hadn't been to in years.

He took her up the back stairs, and around many corners, till they reached the Astonomy Tower. "I wanted you to see... George and I used to come up with whatever girlfriend we had for that week..," he explained. Fred walked her over to the edge of the tower, and out onto the balcony. The blazing sun was just rising over the horizon. Placing Hermione in front of him, he wrapped his arms around her shoulders and rested his chin on her head. "Not bad, eh?" he asked, that Weasely twinkle in his eye.

Out of her seven years at Hogwarts, Hermione had never been to the top of the Astronomy tower. And in all her life, she had never seen such a beautiful sunrise. She surmised that it may have to do with the man who was standing next to her. "Fred, it's... amazing... gorgeous..." She said, watching the sun slowly creep above the horizon.

"Mmhmm..," Fred agreed. Fred had been waiting for a moment to make his move on Hermione. He had wanted to kiss her for so long now.. And now just seemed right. But, he didn't know if he'd be able to get over his nerves or not. With any other girl, it would of been no problem. If they didn't like it, they'd usually just slap him and Fred would shrugg and that would be the end of it. However with Hermione, if she didn't want to kiss him.. he wasn't sure what he'd do. Fred thought it over in his head, and fought back and forth with himself.

Finally he decided. He knew what he had to do.. "Hermione..? I have something to ask you. And I want you to be perfectly honest. You tell ole Fred just exactly how it is,"he said, stepping beside her, so he could see her face. "Will.. um.. will you..," Fred stumbled.. his hands becoming sweatier and sweatier..

Hermione was brought back from her wistful staring at the sun by the sound of Fred's voice. She turned to him to see him all nervous, and she took his hands in hers, only to find that they were extremely sweaty. "What?" She asked, wondering what on earth he could possibly have to ask her that he got this uptight over...

"Well... I have something to ask you, but to be perfectly honest I'm scared to ask it." Fred took a deep breath, and brought both of Hermione's hands up to his chest. "Will.. youbemygirlfriend?" he mumbled, his eyes never leaving hers.

Hermione smiled. Fred's words had come out in a jumble, but she had heard them quite clearly and her stomach gave a sort of jumpof gladness. "I'd love to be your girlfriend..." She said the words, liking how they sounded... liking even more the fact of who she was aying them to.

Fred's grin spread wide across his face. He tried to contain himself, and not seem like he wanted to run around yelling for joy, but he couldn't help it. Fred reached down and wrapped his arms tightly around her waist, rubbing the end of his nose against hers. "You know... boyfriends get to kiss their girlfriends.. it's in the hand book..,"
