After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

Harry smiled. "I sure am," He linked his arm with hers and they left the room. He led the familiar way down to the Hogwarts' kitchen, eager to have a delicious meal and maybe find out about what had happened at the house.

"Then what would you prefer?" Tara rose to her feet, her impatience finally boiling to the surface. "Will you sit here and sulk that you can no longer play act as an evil minion, or will you accept that things have changed and figure out a different way to fight? You surely couldn't have believed that you would be able to play both sides forever."

George looked up from where he was simultaneously serving Dani and feeding himself. "What took you so long? You..." He eyed his sister and Harry suspiciously. "You changed clothes. Where did you change clothes? Were you there?" He pinned Harry with a sharp glance.

Snaped sighed and looked back up to the bit of space he had been staring at before. "I don't know," he said. "Of course I knew that my days as a spy were limited but..."

How could he tell her that he felt more of a pull of friendship with his fellow Death Eaters than with the members of the Order? Though he really had no friends nor family, he felt the Death Eaters filled that position in his life. He knew these people were not true friends but, he never really had proper friends, except if one counted Dumbledore. Snape shook his head. "I don't know, Sitara," he whispered.

"Uh..." Harry decided there wasn't a good way to answer George's question, so he avoided it. "Ginny changed because she was cold and her nightshirt was too revealing. I helped her to find some more appropriate colothes to wear." He pointed to her simple outfit.

Tara's eyes widened slightly at his use of her full first name. She frowned and pushed him back against the couch before sitting in his lap, her head curled against his chest. "You can push me onto the floor if you want to, but I don't know what to say. All I know is that I was convinced you were going to die, and it broke my heart. And now... here you are. Maybe this seems like a tragedy to you, but all I know is that you're alive."

George narrowed his eyes suspiciously at the two of them, but they hadn't been that far behind. "Too bad you didn't think to bring clothes for all of us. I'd like some pants as well." He was pretending to be grumpy, but he was glad they were all safe and Dani was making him laugh with her waffle antics. "Come and sit down."

"I did, silly," Ginny reached into the wrong pocket before she checked herself and reached into the opposite one instead. She regrew the trunk and opened it, showing that there was clothing enough for all. Ginny pulled the pair of sweat pants out that Harry had tried to give her ealier and tossed them to George. "Try these."

He didn't push her onto the floor, in fact, he merely held her to himself, straoking her hair as he leaned his head on top of hers. "I was trying to buy you time to get out of the house and I succeeded. However, the house was searched and some of my things were found in your room," he said, knowing that he owed her a bit more of an explanation as to what had happened. "I don't know why Bella didn't act there, perhaps she still wasn't certain that I had been disloyal. But, I could not face the Dark Lord. He would know for sure that I wasn't what I presented myself to be as soon as the evidence was presented to him and Bella voiced her suspicions."

"I think she's a little bit in love with you," Tara said thoughtfully. "Or she's got love and lust and winning all twisted up. How nice for you to have two women in love with you, although I'm not sure I can compare to her, despite her evil ways." She was teasing him, hoping to disarm him a bit with humor as she snuggled closer to him and pulled his hand into her lap to fiddle with his fingers.

No, they didn't compare. Snape could admit to himself that he was attracted to both women, even if he would never admit it to Tara. But, it was Tara whom he loved; he could never love Bella, despite the excitement a relationship with her was certain to bring. But, that kind of relationship was part of his former self. He was now a different person, a 'good' man and he desired a normal relationship with a normal woman. He closed his eyes and embraced her as she snuggled closer. "Bella doesn't matter; I only want you."

Tara put her hand on Snape's cheek and set back from him to look into his face. "That works out well, then, since I only want you. Now... to the matter at hand. Dumbledore is trying to arrange a place for us, but I think he'd prefer we all stay together. Any thoughts? Oh..." She silenced him with a sound kiss before encouraging him to continue. "I've needed that since I heard you were here."

Snape was taken aback by her sudden kiss. "I have no thoughts," he said, cupping her face with his hand and kissing her back. He just wanted to lose himself in her again; forget about what had just happened and be with her, worry free, if only for a few moments.

Tara let their conversation fall to the wayside as Snape kissed her. His kiss was hungry and urgent... needier than she'd ever felt from him. He had needed her before, needed to feel wanted and desired, but this was a different need. She felt it as well, a proof of life and a proof that not only was she alive but that he was as well. She clung to him, the hand curled around his neck probably holding him tighter than was comfortable.

Snape snaked his other arm around her and held her close. The hand cupping her face gently stroked her cheek and he looked down at her. "I'm sorry for putting you in such danger," he whispered, knowing it was unnecessary but, somehow neeeding to apologize.

"In case you haven't noticed, Severus, I'm a big girl now," Tara smirked at him in a way that was eerily reminiscent of his own smirk. "I entered willingly into this relationship and I could have stopped at any point. I could still leave now and break my own heart, but I'm choosing you. Maybe you'll break my heart even yet, but I'm willing to risk it. I'm willing to risk it all, because I'm only starting to feel like I'm a real woman again. Its you and Dani... you've given me life again."

Snape didn't know what to say so, he merely continued to hold her, pushing back stray bits of hair from her face. Suddenly, he had an idea and his lips curled up at the corners. "It is still almost breakfast time," he whispered. "Perhaps you'd like to join me in a bath while we await the arrival of the house elves with a private breakfast?"

Tara looked confused for a moment, but the look soon left her face. Although so much had happened that day, it WAS still morning and she was actually quite hungry. For Snape as well as for food. She thought the idea of being near him, no matter where they were, sounded like the perfect solution. She tumbled ungracefully from his lap and pulled him to his feet. "I could use a good bath," the corner of her mouth threatened to quirk up and ruin the serious face she'd put on.

Snape allowed himself to be pulled to his feet and looked down at Tara as she insisted she needed a bath. He put an arm around her shoulders and quietly ushered her to the bathroom which was now slightly familiar to her. They weren't playing games this time, however, and after closing the door, Snape quickly moved to run the taps before slipping out of his outer robe.

While Snape started the bath, Tara pulled off the outer robe she had managed to scrounge during the rush earlier. She dropped it on the floor and looked at it ruefully. "I'm going to need to find something more to wear. That one is nearly threadbare and doesn't fit at all."

"I'm certain you won't be needing it for the bath," he said, attempting some humor but, failing to lighten his mood.

He walked over to her and placed his hands on her shoulders, kissing her briefly before whispering, "We can get you a new outer cloak."

Tara leaned into Snape, wrapping her arms around him as if she would steal is warmth if she could. She was tired of trying to make conversation, of trying to make things right. She was tired of words. "I really don't care about that cloak at all. I'll go around naked the rest of the day if you'll just hold me for a little while." She settled her head against his chest, the roar from the taps filling the quiet.

Snape held her like she asked, needing her touch as much as she had expressed needing his. "Well, I'm not sure it would be prudent to run around in the nude for the entire day but, for now..." he whispered and as he did so he slipped off the remainder of her clothing and lifted her up into his arms.

Tara curled up in Snape's arms as he carried her and placed her in the warm water. "Well, its a good start," she smiled and gestured to the rest of the tub. "Have I mentioned before how ridiculously large this tub is for only one person? You're very lucky you have me to help you get full use of it." She grinned cockily at him and splashed a bit.

"Something tells me," he began before his voice was muffled by his removal of his shirt. "That the Headmaster has been planning something like this for quite some time."

He stepped into the tub and settled himself next to Tara. Taking a sponge, he dipped it in the water and poured one of his potions into it, lathering it into the sponge. Then, he began to brush the sponge over Tara's skin. "This particular potion has soothing properties," he whispered in her ear as he continued his ministrations.

Tara leaned against him as he washed her, his words becoming a haze as she settled into the relaxing bath. Finally, he stopped speaking and she opened her eyes to look at him. "I think I could listen to you read me potions ingredients all day in your lovely voice. I'd still want you. That voice and those hands... I wanted them since the beginning of the summer." She blinked at him and sat up. "Either there's something in that potion or we've reached a new point of openness in our relationship. I'm saying all sorts of surprising things."
