After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

"I shall think on it as well," Tara offered helplessly. "I don't understand how this could happen. How in the world could they have found us and entered the house?" Tara asked the question and was genuinely interested in the answer, but she also wanted to go and see Snape.

"I believe the answer lies in a book which lay in the attic of the house. I was unaware of its presence or I would have seen to it that it was removed. However, it was found by some young, inquiring, minds and opened. The book allowed the breach in security," Dumbledore said.

"Those children," Tara shook her head and wondered if she'd somehow managed to fail this small task of keeping Grimmauld Place in hand. They'd still managed to bring disaster down on their heads on her watch. "I brought Tonks along as well," Tara finally offered. "I suggest she stay with us for the time being. I... If you don't mind, sir, I'd like to go and check on Professor Snape."

The corners of Dumbledore's lips turned up a bit in understanding at her last request. "Yes, Nymphadora... I'll have to speak with her later on but, I believe she is off getting some much needed breakfast with young Danika and the other young people. In the meantime, I think it would be good for you to pay our potions master a visit. Perhaps you can persuade him to eat something, though I doubt you'll be successful; he can be ever so stubborn at these times."

Tara nodded at Dumbledore's words and rose to her feet. "Thank you, Headmaster. I'll look forward to your decision about what to do with the young people later. I suppose it would be too much to hope that Dani and I could stay here, but I think she is getting a lot out of the company of others." She left him then with a murmured thanks, pulling the door shut behind her. She made her way through the door and headed down to the dungeons directly, not pausing before she was knocking on Snape's door.

He knew Dumbledore would come calling eventually. He always called if Snape didn't report directly back to him. Still sitting straight in his chair, staring straight ahead of him, he said, "Enter."

Tara slipped into the room and, as was becoming her habit, stood by the door to gauge him. He didn't look harmed, although he didn't look wonderful. When he didn't rise to greet her or turn his head, she murmured his name and waited to get a better look at him when he turned to look at her.

It wasn't Dumbledore. He should have known it would be Tara; where else would they have gone to seek refuge once Grimmauld Place had been compromised? Snape slowly turned his head to look at her. She seemed somewhat hesitant and concerned. "I see you made it safely out of the house," he said, dryly.

He didn't seem particularly pleased to see her, which confused her a great deal more than she'd like to admit. "I see you did as well, which boggles my mind. I was beside myself with worry," Tara approached his seat, but still kept her distance. She didn't want to come and simper over him like he was an enlarged toddler. She wanted to hold him and be held, but that was for her own selfishness and she could live without it for now.

"Yes, I managed to get away," Snape replied. "I am safe... for the time being."

He sighed and turned his head away from her again. He had failed in his mission. He wondered what lengths Bella would go to find him and destroy him, for he knew she could not merely kill him, it just wasn't in her nature to be so kind.

Harry stood up and took Ginny's hand. "I think breakfast sounds like a good idea... I think I need some coffee..." He said, then looking over to Ron, who had fallen asleep in his position on the floor. "I'd say he does too, but I think we should just leave him there..."

"Let's go, then," Hermione said, getting impatient and being the first one to walk out of the door of the staff room. She still wasn't exactly sure what had happened at the house, but everyone was okay, and that's what mattered now. Maybe she could get Fred or George to explain what happened over a Hogwarts' breakfast.

Tara came and settled in a kneeling position on the floor by where Severus was seated. "You have to learn to trust me, Severus. Tell me what happened. Clearly, despite you sitting here so all in one piece, you're not happy with the outcome. Tell me what occurred this morning."

Ginny let herself be propelled from the room by Harry. She pulled him back to slow down as they walked. "I need food, but what I need a little more desparately is a pair of pants and some shoes. And maybe some clean clothes to wear." She tugged on Harry's arm and leaned against him as they walked. "Think of something brilliant, Potter. You'll be well rewarded."

"Ginny Weasley, if I didn't know better, I'd think you were asking me to join the new no-pants trend that seems to be all the rage these days," Harry said, laughing. "No, I know where we can go. So would you if you had thought back to the room we used in fifth year..." Harry steered her down a hallway, leaving the others to continue to the kitchens. They ascended a flight of stairs and went down another corridor and came to a blank wall opposite a painting of Barnabas the Balmy. "You say you need clothes... you know what to do."

Ginny smiled mischieviously at Harry. She was finally starting to wake up, and the situation was seeming more and more funny to her. "I think I look better without pants than you do, Potter," she laughed, pulling up the edge of her nightshirt to show a little more than was decent of her bare leg. "You have yucky hairy man legs and all." She dropped her shirt back down and paced in front of the wall thinking about her wardrobe back at the apartment.

When Ginny lifted the edge of her nightshirt, Harry stared, in a transfixed sort of way. When she pulled it back down, he was still staring, and was only brought out of his stupor by a door appearing in the bare wall. "Let's go and get you changed." He opened the door for Ginny and let her go in first.

Ginny stared at the large walls of clothing racks. "Why didn't I ever think to do this when I was at Hogwarts? I could have had a wardrobe to rivel Malfoy's with all this stuff." She rifled through the stacks of sweaters on a shelf before dragging a trunk out into the middle of the room. "You pick some things too, Harry, and we can grab some clothes for everyone else while we're at it." She began tossing items into the trunk, gauging that they needed some general trousers and shirts for the time being. She opened a drawer in one of the wardrobes and realized that the Room of Requirement had picked up on whatever Harry had been thinking about. "Harry!" her voice was supposed to sound scandalized, but she was laughing.

Harry walked over to the drawer that Ginny was looking in, and took a peek. "Oh..." He laughed and blushed. "Well, if you hadn't provoked me, by..." He mimicked pulling up a nightshirt. He took one last look at the things in the drawer and found a pair of gray, baggy sweatpants and matching sweatshirt folded on a chair. "You should wear these," he said, handing them to her.

Ginny laughed as he handed her the sweats. "I think I'm making you nervous, Potter, if you'd prefer me to wear sweats." She tossed the sweats into the trunk before grabbing a pair of jeans and a t-shirt that were more her size. Being cooped up with Tonks, who she adored but who made her crave Harry's affection and attention, was making Ginny more than glad to see Harry, but she was getting a bit carried away. She turned her back to him and pulled her nightshirt over her head before slipping into the clothing. Once she was dressed, she turned back to him and gave him a hug. "Did you get everything you needed?"

Harry watched in surprise as she turned and changed right there in front of him, without so much of a request for him to close his eyes. He knew he should have, but he couldn't help but watch and it didn't take her long anyway. "Uh... yeah, I... well... I don't really need anything right now... I'm dressed. And I don't need to get... undressed... I mean, get changed... you know." He finished, blushing.

"I've missed you, Harry," Ginny said seriously. "I enjoyed the flowers and the dates and the walks and all that, but I've missed seeing you all the time. I needed to be away from you and that house for a while, but the biggest thing I've learned is how much I hate to be apart from you. And when I see you now and see how much you... want to be with me..." Ginny rose on her tiptoes and gave him a soft kiss. "It won't be long, Harry. It won't be long until I'm ready to be with you, and you don't know how much I appreciate that you're willing to wait for me." She broke from his embrace then and snapped the trunk closed. Moving to the drawer that was still open, Ginny rummaged through it and pulled a few items out. "If it makes you feel better, I'll wear some of this stuff. Under my clothes."

"I've missed you too, Gin. But I think it's healthy that we aren't seeing each other every day. People who see each other all of the time tend to fight and get sick of each other. And now, when we do see each other, it's more special," Harry said, knowing it was the truth, but was only easier to say since he was here with her now. When Ginny went back to the drawer, Harry grinned. "I think I'd like that if you did... but only if you want to, of course.

"You did more than could be expected of most men," Tara said, trying not to sound impatient. Why was he here feeling sorry for himself when he now was safe from having to answer to the Dark Lord's call? "You will be in hiding with us now. It isn't a perfect situation, but you're alive. We're all alive."

Ginny shrugged and put the items in a jacket before slipping it on. "I think my brothers would have a nervous fit if I tossed those in the trunk," she grinned at him. "I want to, because then its like our secret." She closed the trunk and shrunk it, sticking it in the other jacket pocket. "Now I'm hungry. Ready to go?"

He looked down at her. She didn't understand and no matter how much she wanted to, she could never understand. "Yes, we're safe for now but, the danger is far from over. Even should the Dark Lord be defeated tomorrow, my old friends... they will hunt me down and destroy me."
