After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

Harry had started to walk the other way, and when he came to the Wealey twins' store, he sat down on the ground in front of it, head in his hands, thinking. What should he do? Do what he feels he needs to do... talk to Ginny and find out what she feels... or pretend nothing happened and go on living like he never felt anything?

He decided what he would do. He figured if he sat outside the store long enough, Ginny would come out. And for the moment, he didn't really mind sitting there by himself... even if he would wait for an hour... he wouldn't mind.

Ron nodded and turned his head to look at Elizabeth. Elizabeth, he noticed, was a little bit inattentive. He watched her carefully and, soon, asked her, “Are you all right?” He waved his hand in front of her face. “Um… Elizabeth?” He put down his hand, gazing back at Hermione.

“Um… okay then, we’ll get a bowl of soup,” he said hesitantly. He moved his eyeballs towards Elizabeth one more time. He wanted to know if she like soup for lunch.

"That's pathetic," Ginny commented, joining Luna on the sagging couch. "Must have been males living here last. We can go shopping, or I suppose we could get some kitchen supplies from my mum. She has an abundance, and I have to go see her to tell her where I am anyway..." Ginny did not relish the idea of going to see her mother after not going home yesterday, but she hadn't received a howler, so... she couldn't be THAT mad.

"Maybe we could get a new couch too," Ginny said as she slid off the couch when one of the legs crumbled beneath their weight. "This one has too much character for my tastes."

"You can get whatever you like, Ron, I'm not that controlling," Hermione laughed. Elizabeth seemed to be off in her own world, watching the other people interestedly in the restaraunt.

"We could do that," Luna said, slumping onto the floor after the couch's collapse. "However, think we should probably magic the sofa legs until we can afford something new. When did you want to go see your mother?"

Luna had never really met any of Ginny's family before, with the exception of Ron and now, George. She wondered what Mrs. Weasley would be like. Being misunderstood and the victim of prejudice, herself, Luna made it a habit to never form opinions of people without at least meeting them, first.

“In that case,” Ron said with glee. “I’ll get myself some pasta.” He grinned as he left the ladies on the table. He walked slowly towards the counter, thinking, now, about Elizabeth. He ruffled his hair and talked to Old Tom.

"Oh..." Ginny hedged a bit, not wanting to go and deal with her mother, but knowing it was inevitable. "Soon. Today? Now?" Ginny shook her head. "Unless there are other and more pressing things to do. My mother's dishes aren't going anywhere, unless Ron is planning on getting married now too and needs them to set up his own place. I wouldn't put it past the lot of them and their cliquish little secrets."

Hermione ordered herself and Elizabeth some soup and then took to worrying about Harry. She hoped he hadn't done anything drastic... but she trusted him He would do what was right for him...

Harry knew he could wait, but now decided he had to talk to her before changing his mind and deciding that he didn't want to talk to her about this. He stood up and walked into the joke shopm looking around cautiously for the red head.

"Forget about them, Ginny. Just for the afternoon. Let's go visit your Mum," Luna said, simply, jumping to her feet and smoothing her skirts.

"Fine, fine," Ginny said, telling herself that at least it would be just Mum. None of the boys or Harry and Hermione should be there. The two apparated with a loud clap.

"Back so soon, Harry?" George asked the young man with a twinkle. "What can I help you find today? Some Skiving snackboxes? Perhaps some of our Fowl Fripperies? Or is it a moment with my lovely little sister you seek today?"

"I need to talk to Ginny..." Harry said, "And before you get big brother defensive on me... I just want to talk to her." He hoped she was still around, he knew he was going to have to do it now or never. "Is she here?" He asked hopefully.

"Hmmm... there is not before big brother defensive, Harry. I was big brother defensive the second my only sister walked through that door with everything she owns looking miserable. In fact, I was big brother defensive when I heard you were engaged and I knew that Ginny needed to know." They both heard a loud noise from above them. "And as for whether or not she's here... she isn't. She just left. But that leaves you free to talk to me," George's smile had a particularly predatory cast to it.

Dobby was stirring in the back room when he heard Harry's voice inside the shop. He came around the corner thinking he came back to see him but stopped when he heard George talking to him. He knew better than to interupt George when dealing with a customer, even if it was Harry. The last time he interupted both George and Fred, his ears ended up been extended so long that he had to wrap them around his head several times to avoid stepping in them. So he just walked out where Harry could see him and waved letting Harry be the one who could open a converstation with him or not.

Harry sighed. He really wanted to talk to Ginny, but George was her older brother and Harry knew he cared about her just as much as he himself did. "George... I was scared to tell her. I don't know why exactly... but... now I do... and... I just didn't want her to feel... well, it ended up backfiring anyway, and I know I was stupid... but I just really need to talk to her. Do ou have any idea where she went?"

"Potter! You're giving me a headache. What were you scared to tell her? Why don't you slow down and start over? I don't know where she went, but if she wants to hold down this job, she'll be back soon." He pulled up a stool and settled in. "Dobby, bring us some tea, please," George called to the elf lurking in the corner. "Now, you pretend I'm Ginny, and let's see what you have to say." George fluttered his eyelashes at Harry, who looked revolted.

Dobby hurried into the back room and fetched some tea and a plate of biscuits he returned to George and Harry, "Dobbys has your tea, sirs, can Dobby gets you anything else?" he asked while bowing.

Harry couldn't help but laugh at George whose impression of a girl could not have been worse. He tried to take him seriously, but for the moment, he couldn't. After he calmed down, he thanked Dobby and turned to George.

"Okay, first, I was scared to tell her that I was getting married. And then I kept putting it off and that made me more scared... each time I put it off." Now he had to respond to George asking him to talk to him like he was Ginny, "Sorry, George," He said laughing, "I can't..."

"You want to tell her why you didn't tell her? That's lame, Harry. She knows why already. And she's also a big girl now, although none of us will admit it, and she's capable to taking good or bad news. Is that all you wanted to talk to her about? It seems kind of a pathetic reason to blow off your very lovely fiancee and two best friends..."

Neville got back after lunch and unlocked the register after putting the magic sign on the door away. He pulled out the watering can and, using his wand magiced around the room to water each of the inhabitants of the shop. While this took place he began reading his manual on the treatment and care for a new breed of tulip-like flower that Mrs. Arbor had ordered. "Purple" he said in a loud clear voice and the tuplip turned a beautiful shade of violet. Neville smiled and then said, "red". Where the petals were purple, scarlet now appeared. Neville laughed out loud at the new plant. He placed it prominantly on a shelf in the front window with a sign that announced it's arrival.

"No... no... I just..." Harry stopped. He felt like he could cry. "I'm confused. Too much is going on and I feel like I have too little time to sort things out. I have to worry about how Elizabeth feels and now I feel bad for making Ginny upset the other night... and... I was so stupid... but... I'm just confused." He looked at George hoping he would be understanding for a moment and not be defensive of everyone but Harry.

Elizabeth was staring at a very happy looking older couple in the Leaky Cauldron. She realised she was being kind of anti-social, but she was thinking. The couple she was looking at seemed very much in love and happy. Elizabeth tried to see Harry and herself in the future, would they be as happy? Her train of thought was interrupted by the arrival of the soup.

Elizabeth drank a large spoonful and immediately felt better.

"mmm, this is good soup" she said to Hermione.

Looking at Harry, George wanted to be his sarcastic or flippant self, but he didn't have the heart. The poor man looked miserable, and, even though it was mostly self-induced, George didn't feel like taunting him would make either of them feel very good.

"Its a confusing time," George shrugged. "No one can fault you for feeling overwhelmed, but... don't let your feelings of pressure or whatever cause you to give Ginny any hope when there isn't any."

"Yes... it is..." Hermione said vaguely. She had traced Elizabeth's stare to an oler couple and she noticed the almost wistful look in her eyes, watching them. Hermione seemed to be thinking something over and let out a sigh.

"Don't be daft, Potter," George said, finishing his cup of tea and setting it down roughly into its saucer. "If you need to know how Ginny feels, all you have to do is ask her. She's never been one for hiding behind fences. And if you need someone else to say what is as plain as the nose on... well, on Ron's face, then you're not as smart as I thought you were."

He turned to look for Dobby to clear the tray. "Now, that's all the brotherly advice you get from me. Bill and Percy were always the big ones for advice, and Charlie is Ginny's favorite. I'm not really your brother, and all this touchy-feely stuff is making me want to take a Ton-Tongue Toffee and choke to death on my own tongue." George left without another word and began to work on magically stocking more shelves.
