After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

Snape could see her reluctance and wasn't quite sure why he needed to confirm his susicions, whether it would make any difference... This whole conversation must be a sign that he was spending too much time around Albus Dumbledore. "I understand the difficulty you must have in telling me this but, can you tell me how you were punished?" he asked, as gently as he was able.

Fear lit up Dani's eyes before she could keep Snape from seeing and she stared hard at the floor. She gave a quick jerky shake of her head to indicate that she couldn't talk about. She didn't want to. She deserved whatever happened to her, but it didn't make it easier to talk about. Still... the price of being disobedient to Snape... what if they were the same as being disobedient to Alanna? Dani licked her lips and refused to look up. "She hit me." Her voice was a whisper.

Snape nodded. "That's what I thought," he said, standing up and kneeling in front of Dani. He placed a hand on her shoulder and raised her chin with the other. "I will not strike you and nor will your mother," he said before standing up to lead her back to the kitchen.

Dani slipped her hand into Snape's as they walked back to the kitchen. It was a new idea to her that she wouldn't be grabbed or struck simply for saying the wrong thing or being in the wrong place. She didn't have the sudden desire to test this new freedom; to the contrary she wanted to deserve it. She wanted to be so good that their kindness to her would be warranted. Once in the kitchen, Dani rushed to give her mother a hug before slinking back to stand by Snape again. Her mother looked at her oddly before smiling.

They walked back to the kitchen where Tara was overseeing the cleanup. Dani ran to her mother but, surprisingly, came right back to stand beside him. He sneered at the twins and merely stood watching the process from teh doorway, though it seemed the worst of it had been charmed back to the way it had been before the explosion of eggs. He'd have to have a private talk with Tara later about his chat with Dani.

Hermione watched Snape take Dani away... apparently she wasn't doing a great job of trying to clean the girl up. So, she turned her attention to the boys and Professor Sinistra and couldn't help but giggle when she threatened them.

Tara watched Dani scurry back to Snape in wonder, her eyes rising to lock with Snape's. Some burden had lifted from the child, and she was curious as to what it was. In the meantime, she had certain disaster to circumvent. Tara finally looked away from Snape and eyed the remnants of the eggs. "How about I make the omlettes, since it appears the two of you have no idea what you're doing?" George scurried to the table and sat down eagerly, rubbing his stomach in anticipation.

Fred groaned, and nodded in knowing exactly what Professor Sinistra had meant. He was going to make a smart remark about picking her up at seven....but with his Mione standing there, and not to mention the return of Dani and Snape, he decided silence was golden. He strode past Hermione, placing a hand on her waist to take her with him and sit at the table.

Snape moved into the now, relatively, clean kitchen and sat down with Dani at the table where they could watch Tara work. He ignored Mr. Weasley and Miss Granger. "Do you need any assistance?" he asked Tara.

Tara tossed an easy smile over her shoulder as she worked through the kitchen. She was very at home with Muggle cooking and had no difficulties at all with cooking without magic. "You forget, Professor, about our annual jaunt to Italy."

Dani perked up a bit at the mention of the trip. "Mum does all the cooking. She's pretty good, although she burnt the chicken once. But that was mostly my fault because I wanted to go walk in the water and she went with me." She grinned at the memory before asking, "Can you cook with magic too?"

"Of course one can cook with magic," Snape replied to Dani before glaring over at the Weasley twins. "Though some lack the necessary common sense to do so."

Dani grinned at Snape and cast a look at the twins that let them know she had understood the criticism. "Mum taught me to do some cooking. I can make grilled cheese and... sometimes I blow things up in the microwave."

Tara shook her head as she finished cracking the remnants of the eggs into a bowl and throwing out the shells. She left the whisk mixing the eggs on its own while she searched for more cheese and any vegetables to add. Dani had a penchant for culinary messes, and if Tara had thought about it sooner, she probably would have realized her daughter's magical abilities based on some of the 'accidents' she'd had. "Anyone opposed to mushrooms and tomatoes?" She held them out specifically to Snape for perusal, hoping he'd give her the naysay if they were poisonous.

"Microwave?" Snape inquired, realizing this must be some sort of muggle cooking device. Upon hearing Tara's question, he looked over at the mushrooms. "The tomatos and mushrooms look appetizing."

Fred nodded at Professor Sinistra. He wasn't about to make a special order omlette when she had just threatened his manhood...

"A microwave! Dad has a couple of those. We haven't figured it out really.... but George have come up with some other uses for them." Fred said proudly thinking of the microwave they were currently using as a safe buried deep in the back yard.. "Oh and by the way, Dani was very good last night. As you can see, she's in one piece after an entire day with Uncle Gred and Forge. Not bad, eh, Professor?"

Harry decided he was bored and that it was time to see Ginny. But first, he would have to make a trip. He heard Professor Sinistra downstairs and there were way too many people down there anyway who would most likely try to stop him from using the fireplace as his method of transportation, so he apparated straight to Diagon Alley to a dark street he knew was usually deserted.

He walked to a flower and candy shop that he knew had some interesting stuff. He started looking around, not the least bit concerned about his safety. After seeing tulips that tried to bite anyone who touched them and silver magnolias that released a perfume that made the holder of them fall in love with the next person he or she laid eyes on, Harry decided that just some simple roses might make Ginny happy. He walked over to where the roses were and noticed theat they had the most selection here, by far. There were so many colors and textures. Who had ever seen rainbow-colred roses? Or ones made out of glass?

After looking at the flowers for at leas twenty minutes, he picked out a dozen of ones that he felt suited Ginny's personality, as well as hair color, perfectly. They were bright red-orange. He paid for the flowers and headed off to see Ginny...

Tonks woke up rather early the next morning to find Ginny still asleep. She managed to walk own quietly, only tripping on the rug after she had closed the bedroom door. Moving to the kitchen, she realized they still hadn't bought any food and thus, had nothing for breakfast. Figuring Ginny would be safe enough alone for a little bit, Tonks aparated over to Diagon Alley where she tripped and bumped into Harry who was just walking out of a flower shop. "Wotcher Harry," she said, straightening up. "Sorry about that."

Harry was surprised to feel the body of someone collide into him. He looked up and realized it was Tonks.... His heart sunk. she would surely make him go back to Grimmauld Place. He quickly hid the roses behind his back. "Oh... uh... hello, Tonks. I was just... uh... out for a walk?"

"Why are you wandering about?" she asked, spotting the flowers behind his back and smiling. "Well, I guess I know why but, does anyone know you are here? You know you are taking quite a risk being out here, especially all alone. Maybe you should tag along with me while I get some groceries and then, we can head back to the apartment and you can fix Ginny some breakfast..."

Harry smiled, happy that Tonks wasn't mad. "Okay, I guess that sounds good. I'm not that great at cooking, but... it can't be hard to make breakfast. Plus, I hear women like it when you cook them meals."

Tonks laughed, glad she had figured out a way to keep him out of harm without getting him mad like she had with the twins. "Alright then, to the market we go," she said and took off towards the grocery store where she picked up all the necessities- toilet paper, break, milk, butter, eggs, chocolate, etc.

Harry and Tonks left the store carrying a few bags and walked down Diaogn Alley towards Tonks's place. "So... how is Ginny? I miss her a lot, even though I just saw her last night..." Harry said.

Meh... we need some direction/ redirection/ inspiration because this RP is floundering in nothingness. Let's come up with a plan or just close things down.

OOC: Perhaps we should do Christmas? And...I thought we were doing a thing with Grimmauld, and it was no longer going to be safe...perhaps we can wrap that and Christmas up together as one big bright shiny present...
