After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

Surprisingly enough, Fred was the first up the next morning. He was tired because he had been up checking on Dani every so often. George had been up a few times himself, so Fred let him sleep on. He crept over to Dani's bed, and peeped over the top. She was still sleeping... Fred smiled as she lightly snored and was all balled up, thinking how he hoped he had ten just like her..

"So, it is the same for both of us, then..." he mused, pushing back the thoughts of Bellatrix from his mind; that witch was dangerous and Tara, whom he held, was her next target. He kissed her before hugging her close, just enjoying the moment while it lasted.

Tara smoothed her fingers across Snape's forehead, wiping away the lines of concern as she snuggled closer to him. "You're thinking about something unpleasent. You're worrying about me. Let me worry about me. All I want you to do it take care of yourself and heal. That's it."

Dani awoke at a small noise above her head. She cracked an eye and found one of those red-haired twins standing above her. "You're kind of creepy, you know," she sat up with a yawn and eyed George who was snoring away on the bed nearby. "I want my mum."

"Good morning to you, too, missy." Fred reached for her, so he could lift her to the floor, and not chance her jumping and hurting herself. With her safely on the floor, Fred plopped down right on top of George's sleeping body. "Well, I'll tell you what. I promise to go find your mother as soon as my sleeping beauty gets up, "Fred said prodding George with his finger.

"I can't help but worry when she has some sort of vendetta against you. You've never met Bellatrix," he said, brushing her hair back from her face. "But, perhaps for a little while. we can try and forget about those things and merely enjoy each other."

George jerked in his sleep. "I'm awake! I'm awake and... I can't breathe." He thrashed around, finally throwing Fred off of him enough that he could sit half way up. "Is it morning? Were you sitting on me?" He glared at Dani who shook her head and pointed at Fred. "Oh, nothing new there."

Tara frowned and sat up, her bare back to him. "I want to just live in the moment, Severus, but... I feel like there should be something I can do. I've never been in a situation where I just sit back and let things happen to me. I can fight her, or I can... I can brew polyjuice." She shrugged and looked over her shoulder at him. "I'm sounding foolish."

Snape sat up and slid his hands over her back and around to her front until he was embracing her from behind. Kissing her neck softly he said, "We will come up with a solution but, for now, while we are here and have the luxiury, let us try and forget to be ourselves and live in this moment."

Tara leaned back into Snape's embrace and let him kiss her neck. Her lips quirked into a small smile before she twisted a bit in his arms and pushed him back against his pillow. "You're supposed to be healing," she murmured, leaning over him with her lips brushing his. She twined her legs with his and pulled up the sheet. "Alright, I can live in the moment."

Snape wished he could always ignore his problem by simply spending an evening and a morning with Tara like this. It was better than what their previous arrangement had been, the connection they felt emotionally making the physical aspect that much more pleasureable. "I believe I can, as well," he whispered in her ear.

"Oh good! Look Dani, Tina woke up! Good morning, sunshine," Fred said, holding back a chuckle. "We have a request for you. We wish for you to accompany myself and the fair lady, Dani on a mission to find her mother. Do say you'll join us, Tina my good boy?"

George sat up and scrubbed his hand through his hair. "I've told you, Fred, you really need to stop sampling the merchandise before you're fully awake. Don't eat anything in your possession until you've had a shower and can see it clearly." He threw his legs over the side of the bed and scooped up Dani, cuddling her to his side as he stood. "Hey, Peanut. We going to find your mum?" She nodded.

Fred sniggered and saluted his brother. "Well, come on then, the kid has been wanting her mum for a while now. And the Weasley's are never one's to disappoint women. Even really small ones." Fred went to the door and flung it open. "Come along, come along. We have a mum to find."

Fred took the stairs, and headed off to the guest bedroom that was downstairs. He had assumed that's where she was staying, and he thought it was a good idea to wake her up with the safe and happy face of her baby. He crept the door open slowly, and ushered George, still holding Dani, in first.

Dani enjoyed being held by George, who seemed frozen in the doorway. Fred pushed on George and he stumbled forward, while Dani swiveled her head around to focus on her mother. "Mum! Professor Snape!" She tried to wriggle free but George wouldn't put her down. "I didn't know Professor Snape was coming. I slept on the upstairs bed with the twins, but if we were having a sleep over..." She wriggled again and glared at George. "Put me down." To the two very embarassed people in the bed, she asked, "Have you thought more about my baby brother, Professor Snape?"

Tara made a noise like "Eep," and she slid behind Snape and pulled the sheet up around herself. She hoped that somehow Snape would magically deal with this situation because she couldn't get beyond the fact that two former students and her daughter were standing in teh doorway while she and her lover were in this bed together.

Snape wasn't sure how to react but, with Tara cowering behind him, he knew it was up to him to deal with the situation. Ensuring that the sheets were strategically positioned, he looked up at Dani who had just asked about a baby brother, a rather interesting question to put to him at the moment. "Perhaps," he said, speaking to the Weasley twins. "You would be so kind to escort Miss Dani down to the kitchens." And to Dani, "Your mother and I will meet you down there."

Dani tried to protest but George tucked her under his arm and pushed past Fred into the hallway. He was down the stairs faster than he would have thought possible. Once in the kitchen, he sat at the table and continued to hold Dani, now in his lap. He had this terrible urge to pluck out his eyeballs and throw them in the fire, but he didn't think that would help. He blinked rapidly and ignored the squirming child.

Tara groaned and pulled the covers over her head. "You can go downstairs. I'm staying right here until either Dani goes off to university or I die. Whichever comes first." She burrowed down as deeply as she could go and tried to hide.

Snape pulled the sheets down, attempting to get to Tara who seemed to be huddled at the bottom of the bed. He placed his hands on her upper arms and pulled her up so that she was nearly sitting in his lap. Brushing the hair away from her face he whispered, "You need to come out of hiding at some point, might as well make it sooner rather than later. Unless you think you've done something wrong."

Tara twined herself around Snape, clinging tightly to him. She would never want him to think that she regretted being with him, although it was certainly not the safest choice she'd ever made. "The only wrong I've done is allowed my daughter to be witness to it. I don't even care so much that those Weasleys managed an ogle. But she's my daughter and... I don't even know what knows and doesn't know about a woman's relationship with a man. I want her to understand that this is..." She stroked his cheek with her thumb. "This is unexpected but lovely. Its something to celebrate, not something to hide, and yet... we must hide it."

"I'm not sure she's old enough to truly understand. She thinks this was a slumber party, though in some respects, I suppose it was. Though she did mention the little brother again..." Snape responded, still holding onto Tara. He still wasn't entirely sure how to deal with that child. She was so different from any other child he had ever encountered. He knew how deal with those who hated and feared him but, having a child who seemed infatuated with him was entirely new territory. "Perhaps it woul dbe best not to think on it too much right now, in the heat of the moment, and just head down to breakfast."

Fred followed Geroge out, his mouth still feeling like it was dragging the floor. He, had just seen one of his hottest teachers....naked. But the whole image was so messed up when he added in Snape's old white wrinkly body. He shuddered, as he took a seat across from George. "I don't know if I just gained bragging rights, or mentally scarred myself."

George looked at Fred as if he were crazy at first, but then he realized that Fred was correct. As strange and wrong as seeing Sinistra with Snape had been, he'd still seen Sinistra. Granted, she was covered in a sheet, but these things really left little to the imagination. He wondered how she'd flown under his radar when he was in school, because George definitely would have been willing to do a little extra credit if he'd realized how pretty Sinistra was. Still...

"Shh..." George gestured at Dani, who was sulking on his lap. He wasn't sure talking about what they'd just witnessed would be the best for her right now, although she was strangely unaffected by it. He turned at the sound of Sinistra and Snape entering the kitchen. Sinistra went straight to the cupboard and began to make a large quantity of toast. Dani finally freed herself and went to her mother for a hug.

Snape thought he might have to drag Tara down to the kitchen with him but, once he'd convinced her to go down, she composed herself as much as possible and came with him on her own. As they stepped into the kitchen it seemed all eyes were on them but, Snape ignored them as he watched Tara busy herself with an overabundance of toast whiel Dani lept from Georges lap to embrace her. Still ignoring the Weasleys, Snape set about putting the kettle on for tea.

Fred just had to put his head down when the two 'adults' entered the room. He knew better than to laugh out loud, so he just buried his face in the crease of his arm. He knew with one look at Snape, he'd be rolling in the floor laughing. With his face still buried, he said, "Hey George...?" George answered with a "What?" "Well, I was wondering something. You remember that charm we learned in ...oh....what was it...first year? The one that locks doors so people can't burst in, and the one that doesn't require much but a little wand wave. Even the 'busiest' of wizards can perform it. It simply has slipped my mind. Do you remember it?"

He was surprise but, that didn't prevent him from seething at Fred Weasley's taunts. "That is quite enough, Weasley," he sneered, placing five cups on the table and sitting down, his arms crossed over his chest.

Snape sat, looking at neither of the twins but, unable to avoid seeing them unless he walked out of the room, which he had no intention of doing. Anticipating another round of 'subtle' remarks, he pointed toward Tara and whispered in a dangerous voice, "Do not embarrass her."

Tara gathered all the toast onto a plate and brought the teetering stack to the table. She settled herself, Dani draped as much as she could be on one side and a knife in her free hand. "Butter?" she asked the table at large, her usually calm face a bit pale and vulnerable looking. She looked remarkably young and Dani patted her cheek with a hand and nestled into the crook of her elbow.

Snape took a couple pieces of toast and the offered butter from an extremely anxious looking Tara. He wanted to kick the twins out of the room but knew that would only give them further ammunition and may make things worse for Tara and Dani.
