After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

Hermione's attention was drawn away from the littlge girl and over to Fred who was talking with Sinistra. She rolled her eyes and walked over to Fred, and grabbed his arm, pulling him away. "Fred... you are not supposed to leave this house... you could get yourself into trouble. Please don't go... even if it is to somehwere like Hogwarts, you are not supposed to leave," She said, trying to give the best 'sad puppy' face she could.

Fred opened and closed his mouth a few times and looked between the two women. He would of loved to get out of the house and strut up and down the drafty stone corridors of Hogwarts again, but he couldn't resist the face Hermione was giving him. Fred shrugged back at his former Professor, who didn't seem to keen on him going with her anyways, and followed Hermione up to the staircase.

"Well, if you are going to keep me captive here, we have to find something to do before I go nuts. Let's go check out one of those attic rooms and see what we can find...What do you say? "

"Okay," Hermione agreed. It could be interesting seeing what a house like this held in its attic. She lead the way upstairs to the attic and let Fred go in first. She followed him in and get out her wand and lit it. It was quite dark in the room, the only souruce of light being a small, circular window.

Fred pulled out his own wand and lit it, and shined it around the room. It was full of odds and ends of clothes and old portraits and basically junk. Fred picked up an old hat top hat, dusted it off and placed it on his head before going deeper into the attic maze. Books were everywhere. "This is right up your alley, Mione.." he said pulling a box out that was full to the brim with dusty, antique books. Fred looked over to Hermione, who seemed a little apprehensive about the books. "Come on over Hermione, and I'll read you a fairy tail, Riddle style."

He threw her a rather large, feathered hat and pulled a pile of books for her to sit on..taking another pile for himself as he thumbed through a book off the top.

Although the amount of books was amazing, Hermione couldn't help but be a bit wary of them.... After all, generations of dark wizards had lived here... However, she sat down on the pile of books Fred had pulled over. Maybe she would just watch him look through the books...

Fred put the feathered hat on her head and grinned at her. "Beautiful..." He had that urge again to kiss her, her cute little face resting underneath that large feathered hat... But the musty, dark attic of the Riddle House was anything but romantic, so Fred used his energy elsewhere. He flipped through several large books, all boring though. Getting frustrated, Fred started flipping the books over his head if the title wasn't catchy enough to grab his attention.

After flinging a rather large book over his head though, sirens went off. They were mind piercing loud and Fred's hands automatically went to his ears. He looked frantically at Hermione..

Hermione winced and covered her ears with her hands. The book which Fred had last thrown over his head seemed to have opened and let out a loud, piercining siren sound. She got up and went to where Fred had thrown it. It's pages were exposed, and she quickly closed it, not bothering to take a look at what the page it had been opened to said. Once it was closed, the sound had stopped.... Hermione uncovered her ears and picked up the book, looking at the title "Leaders of the Modern Wizarding World."

Fred was a tad afraid to take his hands down from his ears, but he figured he looked like sissy already and put them by his side. Looking at the book Hermione had retrieved, a look of confusion came over him. "Why on earth would that book have sirens or whatever that was? If Percy would of ever stepped a foot in this house, I would of said for sure he put the jinx on it so none of us would get any ideas about power....but he's never been here. Strange...."he said eyeing the book. It seemed every story he had ever heard from his dad about incidents from the Ministry with books seem to be rushing back to him. "Any ideas about what's up with it, Mione?"

"I don't know..." Hermione ran her hand over the dusty, brown cover of the book. It looked pretty normal from the outside.... "Maybe that's all it was... just a screaming noise... they used to have plenty of those book at Hogwarts... though, I never came across anything that detestable sounding." She looked for an author's name on the cover, but couldn't find one. She flipped it over, scanned the back cover, and then set it gently on the floor, not having found a name. "I'd say someone charmed that page... or even the whole book to make that... sound... whenever it was opened."

Tara was relieved when Fred changed his mind. She didn't want to answer to anyone on why she'd allowed someone under house protection to leave with her, and she didn't want to be slowed down in her task. Perhaps if she got Dani's things together fast enough, she could make a visit to the dungeons as well.

"Are you sure you can handle Dani?" Tara turned to George, who was eyeing the child with apprehension. "I'll be back soon, and she's very good at amusing herself. Just don't let her touch anything dangerous and do NOT use her as an experiment. I know all about your experiments, George Weasley." With that, she kissed her daughter, threw Floo powder into the chimney, and stepped through to the Hogwarts staff room.

Dani studied George for a moment before she crossed the room and sat on a chair next to him. "My name is Danika Sinistra, and I'm a witch. You're George Weasley, and I believe that's true because my mum said. The one who looks like you? He said your name was Tina, but I think he enjoys lying to small children." She would probably have said more, but a loud siren from upstairs drew her attention. "What was that?" George grabbed her around the waist and held her like a football under his arm as he hurried towards the attic.

Ginny squealed as she tried to get away from the merciless stream of water. "Uncle, uncle!" she finally yelled, her wet hair plastered to her face. She was dripping wet. "What is that thing?"

"It's a water pistol," Tonks replied, blowing the end of the muzzle, laughing as she did so. "Muggle invention. It's not too bad, though a little less convenient than merely squirting water from you wand which doens't run out of water. But, if you don't have magic, it is a pretty ingenious way to get your friends wet."

Fred shrugged and straightened his hat on his head. If Hermione, the definant smarter of the two, wasn't worried, then neither should he. "Well...I think we should stay away from the books...But I must say, Mrs.Black had an extraordinary fashion sense.." Fred said exaggeratedly as he threw one of her scarves around his neck. He was strutting about puting random pieces of her clothing on and throwing pieces back to Mione for her to put on when George caming running. He had Dani tucked away under his arm like a rag doll. "Tina old boy! Due come join us!" He threw him a large, white, frilly dress he had just considered puting on...

Harry trudged up to his room and took a seat at the old, somewhat moldy and dirty, desk, that stood by the small window. He grabbed a piece of parchment, a quill, and ink and started writing to Ginny. However, when he put the quill to the parchment, he found he wasn't quite sure what to write. How did you write that you wondered if the reason why someone moved was because of what you did?

He sighed and started the letter.

Ginny,

I hope you're having fun wherever you're staying. It was really quite considerate of you to tell me yourself that you were going to be leaving the house. I am very glad I didn't have to hear it from someone like one of your brothers. Have fun living away from me.

He hadn't started the letter thinking that it would be somewhat spiteful, but that was how it ended up, and he did not have a problem with it. Harry got Hedwig out of her cage, tied the letter to her foot, and sent her off through the window.

Hermione had been laughing at Fred and herself because of their silly appearance when George and the girl named Dani appeared in the attic. She blushed, because, at the moment, she was wearing the big, pink hat, a zebra-striped scarf, and some wild boots with rainbow-colored stripes and heels that were at least five inches tall. She took of the scarf and hat and hid them behind her back as if she was doing somehting wrong.

Tara appeared in the staff room looking quite the worse for wear. She was covered in grime from the fire and her robes were a bit dirty, but she didn't care. Stepping out of the staff room, Tara turned her body to go up and pack for Dani. Her heart took over though, and she found herself heading towards the dungeons instead. There was something wrong with her to be so dependent on Severus at this point. She wanted to see him and touch his face and smell his musky scent. She felt she wasn't quite complete until she had done that.

George set Dani down. "Don't touch anything," he ordered and she scowled at him good naturedly. "What was that noise? Did you break something? Find something brilliant to steal and make our own?" He grinned at his twin and seemed to not really notice Hermione, who was doing her best not to look embarrassed by her attire. Silly girl... Fred belonged with a girl who relished silliness. George flipped up a parasol with his toe, opened it, and handed it to Dani to play with.

Ginny laughed. "Well, I think its just brilliant." She would have said more, but a familiar owl flew in. "That took less time than I thought it would," Ginny admitted, feeding Hedwig a few kernals of popcorn as she untied the note. In part, she had wondered if Harry would even notice she'd gone. The tone of the letter surprised her. It was so like Harry to blame her for things, but it wasn't like him to be so confrontational about it.

"I need to respond," Ginny excused herself from Tonks and grabbed a quill off the desk in the corner. On a scrap of parchment, she wrote back,

Dear Harry,

I wish I had said something to you, but you were so lost in another world that I couldn't even get you to respond to me. I've told you so many times that I couldn't live in that house, but I don't think you really believed me. Well, believe this. I love you, Harry. I want to spend every moment of every day with you. But not in that house and not waiting for Voldemort to find us and kill us. Come and visit me constantly and bring me flowers and woo me like a man should woo the woman he loves. And leave all the darkness that is keeping us apart in that awful house.

Snape opened his door, heading out to the library when he came face to face with Tara, her fist poised as if to knock upon the door. "Aren't you supposed to be with Dani at Grimmauld Place?" he asked.

Tara fisted her hand in the front of Snape's robe and resisted the urge to throw her arms around him. Why did she feel such sheer exhilaration at seeing him? And why did he sound like he was addressing a truant child? "I left her with the twins and Granger," Tara tried not to sound like a petulant child. "I told you I'd come back, but if you'd prefer I gather Dani's clothing and depart without seeing you, I can certainly accomodate you." She released his robe and stepped back.

Snape watched as the soot-covered Tara stepped back but, before she could get further than than, he grabbed the front of her robes, pulled her into the room, shut the door, and proceeded to kiss her.

Tara's eyes widened in shock, but they soon drifted shut as she lost herself in Snape's embrace and kiss. When he finally released her, she could only stare up at him, her face a mask of confusion and desire, liberally streaked with soot. "So, you don't want me to leave, then?" Her arms crept around his neck as if she needed to anchor herself in case he wanted her to go.

"It was rather childish of you to say that," he said with a slight sneer. "But, I'd be willing to let it go, depending upon what you are offering."

He began wiping the soot from her face with his hands, only really succeeding in smearing it. "Perhaps you should clean yourself up first. I can have a bath drawn in just a few minutes."

Tara made his sneer back at him. "Don't assume I"m acting childish simply because you don't understand me. Perhaps you need to become accustomed to having a woman and all her strange and beguiling ways around more often." She off set any harshness in her words by removing her outer robes and unbuttoning the top few buttons on her blouse. "A bath would be lovely, Severus."

Harry was laying on his bed when Hedwig returned sooner than he had expected. He took the letter and unfolded it, reading it quickly. He stared at the paper blankly. He was almost wanting for Ginny to be angry with him so he could have a reason not to write back or act upon what she had written. He had such an urge to go see her right now....

Ginny,

I love you, too. That's why I was so upset when you didn't tell me personally that you were leaving. I guess I understand, but, it really upsets me that I don't have you here to be with. I'm stuck with your brothers and Hermione, for the most part. Not that I don't think they are great, but they don't get me like you do.

Why was he always so unsure of how to react to Tara? On the one hand, he wanted to kick her out for being so impertinent and on the other hand, he wanted to lock the door, seal up the floo, and just throw her in the tub. He knew he should let logic override his emotions but, he dind't feel so bad allowing his emotions to lead him this time since at least he had actually made the decision to do so. He took off his outer robe and rolled up his sleeves as he moved toward the bathroom. "This way," he said, arriving inside and turning the taps in the rather large, silver, tub.

Tonks had disappeared, and Ginny knew another owl would be coming. It was like Harry, and she smiled when Hedwig went straight for the popcorn this time. "Silly girl, you're supposed to deliver THAN eat," Ginny took the parchment and stretched it out. Harry made her heart do strange things. She felt something deep and real for him, but she wasn't sure he really ever saw her. She wasn't sure he couldn't get the same things from some other girl.

Dearest Harry,

Whenever you say the word, I'll leave Tonks flat and you'll leave that house and we can run away to Hawaii. I'll buy one of those Muggle suits you talked about and we can get married on the beach and Voldemort will be long gone. But you'll never say the word, so for now, we have to live like this. You're so brave, Harry. So much braver than I am, for all that I"m a Gryffindor too. I love you for your goodness, Harry, so I can't be too hurt that your goodness is making you stay for this fight. I only wish I were worthy of it. I wish I were with you now.
