After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

Tara scowled at the three of them standing there like mute beasts. "Honestly, Mr. Potter, it hasn't been that long." She left a quivering Dani by the stairs and strode to the curtain. With George pulling on the other side, they soon had Mrs. Black quieted. Tara heaved a sigh and gathered Dani back into her arms. "Do you suppose we could get some water?"

Ginny smacked Tonks hard with the pillows, and took a beating of her own for several minutes. "Truce, truce," she gasped for breath. "You know, its a good thing its just the two of us. I'm pretty sure the twins have had fantasies like this before. Only we'd be wearing little pajamas and I would be tall, blond, and not their sister."

Tonks fell over in a fit of uncontrollable giggles at the thought of the two of them pillow fighting in a ring with the twins eating popcorn and cheering them on from the stands. "I... can't... breathe..." she gasped in between deep breaths and giggles.

Fred, somehow or another, was left alone in the kitchen. He also seemed to be the only on his toes about someone unexpected bursting in on their turf. But, as usual with Fred, he was wrong. It was only Professor Sinsistra and a little girl. "Hello, hello Professor!" Fred made a big deal of welcoming her from the kitchen doors. "You'll have to excuse young Mr. Potter. He's having a fit of delirium. It's sad really. But maybe he can find his way to the kitchen and get you two some water.."Fred shook his head and bent down in front of the young girl. "Hi kid. I'm Gred. What's your name?"

Ginny giggled and propped the pillow behind her back. Tonks was laughing so hard tears were running down her face. "Honestly, Tonks, you'd think you didn't know about males and all their strange fascinations. Or maybe I just know way too much having been raised in my own personal zoo." She shrugged and laughed again.

Tonks wiped at her eyes, wondering how many of the tears were from the sheer hilarity of the moment and how many had merely leeked out due to other things. "I think I needed that," she replied, her throat sore and her chest hurting from her outburst. "I do happen to know a little something about men. Not much, mind you, but something. I just never really pictured your brothers like that... Though, why, I don't know."

Dani watched her mother move into the kitchen before turning to the man who had introduced himself as Gred. "I'm Danika Sinistra. I'm a witch," she nodded to affirm her statement. "I've seen you before," she looked at him with suspicion. "You were talking to Mr. Dumbledore with that girl. The tan girl."

Ginny waved her hand. "They're not as bad as boys go, I suppose. Both of them were too busy with their plotting and mischief to be really interested in girls enough to get into big trouble." She had a sudden thought and looked at Tonks again. "Do you have a boyfriend? Any flat rules about clearing out and such?"

"No, no boyfriend," Tonks sighed and threw the jumper in the corner. "So, no worries about that."

She got up and walked to the door. "You want some popcorn? It's about the only thing I've got for us to snack on until we go shopping tomorrow."

Fred's eyebrows raised at her proclaiming herself a witch. "Well, Danika Sinistra the witch, I must say it's spiffing to meet you. A real witch eh? That's impressive. You been a real witch long?"

Ginny hopped to her feet and hauled herself out the door after Tonks. The swift shift in topic had her confused, but her stomach was growling. "Popcorn sounds very good right about now." She perched on the arm of the couch, watching Tonks prepare the corn. "I've lived with lying siblings my whole life, Tonks. You don't have to tell me anything, but I want you know I noticed the subject change." She slid back over the arm, her feet sticking up in the air.

"You noticed that, huh? So much for top marks in Concealment and Disguise," she laughed. "Well, it's a long story that's not really so long but, surely felt that way."

Tonks finished popping the corn and flopped down on the couch, causing half of it to fly out of the bowl but, Tonks was quickenough with her wand to avoid a big mess as, just before the popped kernals hit the ground, they levitated back up and into the bowl.

Dani looked unsure. "I... I think maybe I've been one for a long time. At least since I was little. I do weird things. I made my hair blue, and once I exploded a pillow. But they aren't REALLY weird things. They were magic," she was very patient in explaining things to the red haired young man. "Gred is a weird name." She clapped her hand over her mouth and looked horror-stricken. "But that's okay. Danika is a weird name too," she added in a whisper.

"Nice catch," Ginny nodded appreciatively and grabbed a handful of popcorn. It was very good, and she realized that all her adventure in stealing her clothes had made her hungry. She settled back again, looking at Tonks expectantly. She didn't know if Tonks would actually tell her story, but she knew that she was more likely to do so if Ginny just sat still and kept quiet.

Fred stood up and took a few steps back. "Then, I don't guess I'll tell you that my twin's name is Forge. Because Forge is a much stranger name that Gred or Danika and I'd hate for you to have hear that his name is Forge. He's touchy about his name.."Fred whispered and pointed to the George's back.

Dani nodded solemnly and vowed in her head to not make fun of Forge's name. It was a silly name, and she was thankful her mother named her something pretty and sensible like Danika. Dani was a pretty good nickname, as nicknames went. "You can actually call me Dani, 'cause everyone does. Even Professor Snape and Mr. Dumbledore call me Dani." She narrowed her eyes and looked at him suspiciously. "You aren't telling me lies, are you?"

Fred stooped back down so he could whisper to her. Looking straight in her eyes, he said, "Well, Dani...what would you say if I said yes that I was lying to you?

"I would say that was very mean of you and you should be ashamed of yourself. I'm only a little kid, and lying isn't a very nice thing to do. What's your name, really?" she demanded, looking at him as if he had just informed her he was going to steal the crown jewels.

"Thanks," she replied and began shifting a bit uncomfortably on the couch under Ginny's silent stare. "Right, so... Bob... I mean Robert," she made a face and stuck out her tongue. "No idea how or why we started going out with one another. We used to go to the pub a lot after work. He didn't like it when I called him Bob. But, anyway, he's the reason why I had to come and live with you guys at Grimmauld Place. See... I wasn't so much evicted from my flat as I was thrown out of his... Literally, thrown... I don't suppose I'm a very easy person to live with. Just thought you should know."

She finished her haphazardly told story, having never looked Ginny in the face, and then became intensely interested in the popcorn in the bowl.

Fred's smile exploded across his face. He liked this kid a lot already. "Well, I don't usually tell people I've just met... for safety reasons. I'm a real popular and famous guy, you know, but...the name is Fred Weasley," he said moving even closer to her face and whispering importantly. "Not many people know, so you have to keep it a secret. And my brother...his name is Tina. But, like I said, he's very touchy about his name. He'll probably tell you his name is George or something ridiculous like that, but..it's Tina." Fred nodded animatedly to reassure her.

Harry mumbled something in the hallway and then walked slowly upstairs to write to Ginny.

Hermione had been watching Fred talk to the little girl, telling her humorous lies. Why were she and Professor Sinistra here, though? She walked over to Fred and the girl, whose name she heard was Dani. "Hi, Dani, I'm Hermione..." She held out her hand to the girl for her to shake."

Ginny chucked a pillow at Tonks' head, spilling the popcorn. She scurried to clean it up, and when she was settled back on the couch, she scowled. "Don't talk like that, Tonks. I'm sure you have your faults, but we all do, and I think you're just lovely. Besides, if there's anything I've learned from the mistakes I like to call ex-boyfriends, its that boys like to make you think they're their idiocy is somehow your fault." She nodded firmly. "Don't give up on men. Maybe they're worth it."

Dani shook the girl with the frizzy hair's hand, but she also scowled at her a bit. "Hermione? That's a very strange name. Now I'm sure that you are all telling me lies, and that isn't very nice." She stuck out her bottom lip and ran to her mother's side.

Tara watched her daughter scowl and was amazed that she seemed to have the Snape scowl well on its way to down pat. "Now, now, love... don't be rude. Fred was just teasing you. Why don't you play with George, who will protect you from the terrible Fred, while I go back to Hogwarts and retrieve all the clothing you forgot to pack?" She grinned as Dani glanced down at her bag of toys. "I'll just Floo back to the castle, get things in order, and I'll be back soon. Do you think you can take care of one 8-year-old child for that long, or do I need to hex you into submission first?"

"I'm appalled!" Fred exclaimed, before throwing himself on the couch in a damsel in distress manner. "Me? The bad one? I've never!" Fred rolled over and put his hand over his forehead dramatically. BUt, his ears pepped up when his former Professor said she had to go back to school. "Well, you know, Professor....I could escort you back to school. It would really be no trouble at all. Hermione and George can watch your lovely Dani. What do you say? Please?" Fred's voice was almost a plea. He'd do anything to get out of the house..even if for just a bit.

"I don't know... Maybe not forever but, for now, I give up on men," Tonks said, laughing genuinely. "But, you know, Ginny? You've gone and dumped our popcorn on the floor. What's to be done about that, I wonder?"

With that, Tonks conjured a muggle water pistol she had seen her cousins on her father's side using and began to squirt Ginny with it.
