After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

George looked at her in surprise. It was generally acknowledged that he was the more laid back twin, and to hear Hermione's opinion that he would twist the world to his desires. "You must not know me about as much as you don't know Fred," George finally responded calmly. "I'm not trying to twist the world. I'm trying to save two people I care about who are following their hormones instead of their brains. I'm not asking you to chuck Fred aside, Hermione. I'm asking you to be as clever as I've always thought you and to actually THINK about this. Stop feeling and think."

"George, all of my life people have been telling me to stop being so brainy.... So I do it one time and follow my feelings, and now I'm being told to stop. I have thought about this. You wouldn't know if I've thought about this. Fred and I are certainly not rushing into anything, and I want you to think about this, too. Be a little open-minded," Hermione said. "But, if it turns out that something does happend between Fred and I, I think it would be best if you stayed uninvolved.

George slid off the counter. "You're asking me to stay out of my best friend and brother's business. If you saw Harry doing something you thought might be wrong, you'd be the first to tell him your concerns. In fact, I've heard you do it numerous times. I'm tired of you acting like I'm the bad guy when I'm just trying to help. Maybe you need to take a hard look at yourself before you start calling me names, because I'm sick and tired of your double standards. I'm a bad guy for accepting a drink from my brother, but he's fine for offering. I'm impetuous and bad for breaking rules, while Fred, who initiates it, is what? Charming and lovable. I'm wrong for trying to help the people I care about, but you're justified for sticking your little freckled nose into everyone's affairs. Get over yourself, Hermione." He stalked out of the room and into the drawing room, where Harry rubbed his head while Fred drank.

Fred shrugged at Harry and threw himself down in the big lounge chair. "Not much more we can do mate. Just hope for the best and when she gets back we put her on a leash in the back yard. And I think I'm going to have start supervising your visits with her....Discussing whether she was ready,"Fred mumbled to himself and threw back another large swig from the bottle.

George turned up in the room with him and Fred made a big deal about turning his chair to face away from him. "Don't talk to me right now. I'm enjoying myself and I don't want to hear what Mr.Relationship has to say." But, Fred did hold the bottle over his head and just over the top of the high backed chair for his brother to get.

George accepted the bottle, took another swig, and passed it back over the chair before settling on an ottomon lying down. "You can be as mad at me as you want, Fred, but I'm not trying to ruin your life. I'm just trying to help in my own screwed up way." He reached over and took the bottle again, before handing it back.

"I thought I just told you not to talk to me..that I was trying to enjoy myself? Because I can't enjoy myself when my best friend and my object of infatuation can't be in the same room together. I like her George. A lot. I know it's kind of screwy, but I'm a screwy guy. So, let me sit her and get drunk and enjoy myself. " Fred snatched the bottle from George and chugged it and passed the last little bit back to George.

George shrugged and finished off the bottle. "Well, if you can't beat them, join them, I guess," he muttered, tossing the bottle to Harry, even though it was now empty. "We're both goners, Fred. Let's just leave it at that. Women are going to be the ruination of the once grand Weasley twins. Might be fun, though."

Fred slumped down deeper in the chair and hiccuped loudly. "Nothing could bring the downfall of us. Nothing. I'm surprised at you...Where's the faith in your favorite brother? You're stuck with me I'm afraid.."Fred could feel the alcohol hitting his stomach and his started to unfocus. His speech had turned slower and more slurred. "Just out of curiosity, you didn't say anything too bad to Mione did you? Like, if I were walk in there, she wouldn't be in tears..? Because I don't want to walk in there, actually, I don't think I can walk in there.." Fred giggled and hiccuped.

"Trust me," George looked on in amusement at his brother. Fred obviously had had a lot more than he had, although the room was a bit fuzzy. "I took a lot more punishment from Hermione than I gave out. That girl packs a mean wallop, and she doesn't pull her punches." To George, it pretty much was going to roll of his back like water off a kneazle. Lots of people didn't like him or his choices, but it couldn't stop him from being himself. It was too bad the current person wanted to date his brother, but it didn't hurt him.

Fred giggled loudly and stupidly. George wasn't being funny, but it was hilarious to Fred. "But...she's beautiful, George. Just stunning. Don't you think? She's going to be so mad when she sees me though..."Fred went into another fit of giggles and fell in the floor. "I bet, that she could come in here and beat me to a pulp, probably like I deserve, and I'd still be head over heels for her. Did you hear that George? I'm head over heels for her!" Fred raised his legs high in the air and flat laughed out loud at himself.

"You're a complete git, that's what," George rose from the ottoman and pulled Fred by his heels towards the couch. His head bumped the table, but he didnt' seem to notice. "I guess I don't have to worry about discouraging you from being with Hermione when you're so intent on ruining it yourself." He hefted his twin onto the couch with a grunt and sat on his legs.

"I'm not going to ruin it. She's seen me drunk and still seems to like me. It's you that is dead set on me marrying you and us living happily ever after. And, as pretty as I'd look in a dress, I just don't think Mom would appreciate it much..,"Fred said breathlessly from the giggling and be hauling. "I just don't get it though..why you don't see what I see. She's ...hot. And, George..she's brilliant..and fun..and she's like a challenge for ole drunk Fred." Fred draped his arm over his eyes and put a his other arm over on George. "You don't see me telling you who to date. And let me tell you...you're the one that is going to lose a limb or something more with that Guin."

Hermione gaped open-mouthed after George as he left the room. She thought he hadn't even listened to her... he probably hadn't, the git. He was so stuck in his opinion.... She left the room in a huff. On her way to the stairs, she passed the room in which Fred and George were in. Apparently they had enjoyed that bottle of firewhiskey. She rolled her eyes and stomped up the stairs to her bedroom, even angrier. She flopped on her bed and buried her face in the pillow.

Harry watched the twins in awe... they were bad normally, but drunk Weasleys? That could never be good. He looked down at the empty bottle. "Thanks for saving me some, guys," Harry commented srcastically. He left the room, walking back to the kitchen and deposting the empty bottle in the waste bin.

Fred pushed George off of him at the sound of someone coming in through the doors, but ducked down quick when he saw who it was. He knew Hermione would be disappointed in him...but he just wanted to have a bit of fun. Fred could tell she was highly irritated and sunk back down in the couch. He cringed when he heard the door upstairs slam shut. "I should go say something to her...and not a word from you, Dr. Love. "

Fred, still completely intoxicated stood and waverd a bit. Finally his eyes caught up with his balance and he headed for the stairs. THe first few were trickey and he bumbed his shins more than once, but he regained the hang of it. Fred knocked lightly on her door and pushed the door open, but pushed to hard and went flying into the room. He laid sprawled on her floor and the room was going in cirlces. "Hermione...? Don't move..I'll come to you..." And Fred scooted himself across the room on the floor over to her bed..

Hermione sat up and looked down at Fred. He was pathetic, but adorable nonetheless. She watched him scoot acorss the floor and come to rest in a sitting position on the floor near her bed. "What?" She asked in a aslightly annoyed voice. She wasn't angry because Fred was drinking, ti was just why he was doing it and that combined with George being a complete close-minded git.

Fred shrugged and pulled his upper body up onto her bed, resting his face on one of the throw pillows. "Don't know. I just didn't want you to be upset. THough, I guess me being a drunken bafoon is helping that any." Fred couldn't keep himself up on the bed, it was just taking too much energy so he just slid back down and took the pillow with him. "But, it's what I do when I don't know what to do, if that makes any sense.." Fred closed his eyes, the light was bothering him and his eyes weren't exactly working anyways..

"There are other ways to deal with not knowing what to do. I often find talking with someone helps," Hermione said. "I'm not upset... that was a lie. I am upset. George can't understand that I have feelings for you and won't accept it. He thinks I'm still a little girl and I can't make my own decisions.

"Well, let me tell you about my brother George. He's so mad with jealousy that I nagged you before him that he can't see straight." With a more sober mind, Fred would of probably wallowed in Hermione's words of her saying she had feelings for him, but he didn't. He was concentrating on all the wrong things. "And....you are a little girl. You're my little girl." Fred reached for her hand, feeling across the bed with his eyes still closed, and pulled her, quite ungracefully down in the floor with him. With his inhibitions out the door, Fred wrapped both of his arms around her and put his cheek against her forehead...in seconds...he was in a very, very deep sleep.

Hermione sighed. Fred was asleep now, so she stood up after grabbing a pillow and situating it under his head. She grabbed a blanket from her bed, too, and draped it over him. She walked over him to her bed where she laid down, staring at the ceiling above her.

Fred woke up an hour or so later. His cheek was drool stained and his face was lined with indentions from the pillow. He sat up, feeling stiff from head to toe and a major headache pounding his behind his eyes. Squinting around, he recognized himself to be in Hermione's room..Fred tried to remeber why he was here, or even better why he was on the floor, but to no avail. He groaned a little as he raised himself to his feet, using the bed for help. The room was much brighter than Fred would of liked, so he closed the eye that was closest to the window, and caught Hermione with his other eye. She was looking at him, but not saying a word. Fred ran a hand through his hair, which by now was a much bigger mess than usual. "Um..hi." Fred opened up his other eye, but squinting was a must. "I think I need to appologize for whatever is going on here..." Fred sat down on the edge of her bed and pulled one leg up on the bed, while he turned to face her. "Have I mentioned how good you look in that color?" Fred said admirably, a faint grin creeping on his face..

Hermione looked up at him, not moving and listening to him. He had seemed to have forgotten why he was there, not surprisingly. "Even though you don't seem to know what it's for, your apology is accepted... and, thank you," She said, smiling at the compliment.

They finished eating their pizza and Tonks leaned back in her chair, a hand on her stomach. "That hit the spot. Thanks for coming with me, Gin," she sighed. "So, you want to get some clothing while you gather your courage to return to the house to gather your belongings?"

Dumbledore sat behind his desk and listened to Severus' report of what had happened on the trip to Hogsmeade. "I'm afraid, Severus, that you will be unable to attend the trip to Italy. In fact, I would very much like for Sitara and Danika to remain here as well. It seems Nymphadora encountered some difficulties at Grimmauld Place. That, combined with the compromised safety of the Sinistras compels me to have them stay at Grimmauld Place for the rest of the summer. I assume you can make suitable excuses to the Death Eaters for her absence."

"Yes, of course, Headmaster," Snape responded, without emotion and left to inform Tara that the Headmaster wished to speak with her.

He walked back up the tower steps for the second or third time that day, he had begun to lose count and knocked on the door.

Ginny heaved a great sigh. The food had been delicious, and for a few moments she had felt light and carefree. Now, the world sank back down on her. "I suppose it would be ridiculous to have Dumbledore leave all his important tasks to retrieve the clothing of one very highly strung girl. No need to gather my courage. We might as well get this over with."

Tara opened the door to find Snape standing there. She had left him not that long ago in the Entrance Hall, and she was more than a little surprised to see him. She was happy to see him nonetheless. Opening the door wider, Tara gestured for him to enter. "Dani is taking a nap. Everything arranged with Dumbledore?"

"Yes," he replied, deciding to go ahead and tell her of his discussion with Dumbledore rather than have her goin gin to meet him unprepared. "He's arranging for you and Dani to stay at Grimmauld Place for the rest of the summer. He's afraid your safety has been compromised by my stupidity this evening."

"Are you sure?" Tonks asked but, one look at Ginny and she knew the girl was resolved. "Do you want me to come with you to get your stuff?"
