Lily Evans didn't know what she had gotten herself into when she agreed to stay with James Potter over the summer break. Her parents were making arrangements for Petunia Evans, and Vernon Dursley’s wedding. Lily wasn't a fan of Vernon Dursley or his family, and she wasn’t a fan of the arrangements that Petunia had helped to make. Petunia, had of course found her Diary, which she had written, “I hate James Potter” on the first page, and so to tick Lily off, she purposefully made her stay with him. How will her summer escapades and rampant mischievousness change her life, and how will they effect her feelings for a certain, James Potter.
NOTE: ONLY FIRST POST IS FROM THE SUMMER, IT STARTS IN THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL.
Plot Information:
In the beginning Lily isn't fond of James Potter or his actions, but in the end she warms to him, and eventually the school year begins. This begins in the tail-end of the summer, but the first post is a basic motticum of emotions that Lily felt in the beginning of the summer before her new experience evolved into a whole new destiny. A Destiny that included a certain James Potter, as her new-found-love in her last and final seventh year at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Dear Diary,
Petunia has made me stay over-summer with the Potters, how weird is that? She got a hold of my Diary that I forgot at home over the school year and in it, the first words were "I HATE JAMES POTTER". I feel really bad about it now, because I know I don't Hate James anymore, he was so oddeningly kind to me over the past month. We've only got three more weeks of summer break left, and I wonder what will happen between us considering my change-of-heart and his so clear obsession with being around me and wanting to well, date me.

Lily read the note she had written the week before and smiled, today some of her friends were showing up and they were attempting to help her through the end of the month and the end of the summer break. She really loved the Potter's home it was such a beautiful building with a magical inside-litterally, the inside was enchanted so its expanse was much larger than that it looked like it would be from the outside. It looked quaint from the outside, and on the inside it was quaint, but still oh-so-lavish.
Lily walked out of her room in the Potter's home putting her Diary on the end of her bed and locking it quickly. She walked down the stairs and out the back kitchen-door of the house. Where a small crystal-clear pond was visible there were no creatures like Giant Squids or Grindylows in the water here it was so beautifuly an Azure water. She walked to the waters edge and looked at all the small fish swimming around, she loved watching the water as much as she loved dazing off into fire-places.
She heard a slight hoot and looked up seeing a tawny owl with a letter about its leg. Taking the letter and opening it, she realized it was the Hogwarts leters.
Reading the letter she almost screamed. "I'VE GOT HEAD!" She yelled out in shock, she was head girl for her year. Head Girl! She wondered who Head Boy would be and assumed James would not be him, if it was James she would probably feint or blink at him repetatively saying "thats impossible!" Because it really was impossible.
She smiled and heard the door bell ring, walking to the door and opening it she smiled welcoming all the visitors into the home, it wasn't like James's parents would mind. They were constantly off on buisness, which made it possible for them to--well, have many moments alone in their large home. One morning, she had woken and found him gazing at her, and as she stood up, he walked over and planted a kiss on her lips. That was the day she realized she had feelings for him. The day she realized she actually was quite fond of James Potter.

Lily ran a hand through her hair, frantically it seemed as she waited to see if she could find any of her friends and let them know that well he wasn't half bad as it were. It was the first week of school the first years all sorted and well she wanted to scream at the top of her lungs because something in her life had changed and made it all Topsy-turvy - like her life was balanced on a see-saw. "Brilliant this is just brilliant -" she glared at the ground in front of her and began pacing. She knew exactly who she wouldn't tell - well the few people she wouldn't tell. That was simply James, and more importantly Snape. He hated him - and with good cause but she hated Snape because of how he had treated her at the end of the school year.
And he had the audacity to say she could stay with him over the summer. Dream on.

James headed out to the Quidditch Pitch for a good old ride on his broom. Head Boy activities had been murder of late.
Standing on the lush green of it, James blinked confusedly at the sight of Lily Evans standing in the middle of the Quidditch Pitch. He walked up to her, partly out of worry for what could have Lily acting so weird and also partly just out of general curiosity.
"Hey Lily!" James said as he drew near her. "What's going on? This is a bit of an odd place for you to be hanging out."
Lily looked up to James - her eyes wide with shock.
"Hey James-" it took her a minute to realize he didn't call her Evans. "You called me Lily I think that's the fourth time you've said my name." She joked trying to make light of the situation since it wasn't a big deal but it was big when it came to her changing her mind. All of a sudden.
"Yeah I'd say its odd, just needed fresh air - and didn't feel like getting splashed by a giant squid." She lied, but hoped he wouldn't notice. The squid only splashed people it didn't like. Like the entire slew of first year Slytherins.
"Its just different," she shrugged "You know both with being head girl at a school like this, and well my parents" her words trailed off her chin trembled slightly as she said the last part. She had after all stayed over summer at the Potter's because of a death in the family.

Showing his more sensitive side that he usually leaves for moments like these, James walked up to her and pulled her into his arms. Maybe he was taking advantage of her slightly, but he was really trying to console her.
"Thanks James," Lily smiled as he hugged her the warmth from his arms made her feel safe. Safer than she ever had in the arms of any other boy. And that wasn't much to compare to.
"You know what," she said feeling stronger as she slowly, and most regretfully pulled away from him even though all she wanted was an even bigger and more elaborate embrace.
"We should be friends - and you know not pretend." Lily chuckled, "You know it would be better after all with well the head girl and head boy duties...also because I did pretty much tell my only friend at this school to leave me alone and never speak to me again." She chuckled, remembering how she had yelled at Snape.
"I have to say, I shocked myself then with how I responded," she was babbling and not because she didn't want to cry - that finished the second week at the Potter house. She babbled because she was nervous - her ears turning red...luckily with red hair its not as noticeable as with lighter red's Lily's was very dark as it were.

James resisted asking her out as he stared at her babbling. On the advice of his friends, James had decided on a new tactic the previous year to getting Lily to go out with him. Being nice.
Surprisingly, it had been working so far. James made a mental note to thank his friends for the advice by buying them all a large slab of Honeydukes chocolate next Hogsmeade trip.
"You want to go to Hogsmeade with me." James suddenly blurted out. Damn, what happened to trying to resist? James thought to himself, mentally hitting himself over the head.
"Ugh... sorry... Old habits die hard!" James said quickly, backing away slightly.
"No its fine James, really," Lily couldn't help but smile as he too began to babble. "I would love to it'll be a good break from having to be all prim-and-proper and you know head of school-ish." She chuckled nervously.
"I have to say, even though every day god a little bit annoying in fifth year and all - your persistance at asking me to go places with you - even go to the shrieking shack is commendable." She chuckled knowing she was shocking him beyond a doubt, after all it had been annoying before she got to know him.
"Besides - we were able to stay civil together this summer whats a small trip to hogsmeade going to do." She chuckled nerves yet again. Right as she chuckled the loud booming crack happened - that is thunder.
"Ruddy rain already in the season?" Lilly asked aloud as the rain began to fall to the ground. In that instant she was almost entirely wet.

James felt his heart miss a beat. She hadn't hexed him! And she was agreeing to go to Hogsmeade with him. He gave her a charming smile before he groaned, a rain drop hitting him on the nose.
Rain. Seriously. The rain had to ruin his pleasant chat with Lily. Pulling off his robe so he only had his uniform on, he gave it to her.
"Get under it to help protect you from the rain. I'm not fussed with the rain, if anything I love it. Everything's better in rain. Quidditch, my hair, pranks." He gave her a short smile before starting to jog for the castle. He may love rain but lightning was out of the question. If he got fried his hair probably wouldn't last.
Turning around to see if Lily was following, James ran backwards for a bit, enjoying the feel of the rain on his face.
Lily thanked James as he handed her his cloak - immediately pulling it around her not exactly because it would protect her from the rain. More because the smell of it was exactly like James. It was a soft, kind smell, a smell that reminded her slightly of her amortetia scent when Slughorn had done the lesson on love potions. She ran over to where James was and couldn't help laughing "Don't hurt yourself" she yelled over in a playful voice as she ran closer. "Plus side of the rain means we can get hot chocolate from the kitchens." Lily laughed - no one in the school knew she was familiar with the kitchens. She was, she would head down on cold nights and grab a hot chocolate - the house elves sometimes got mad because they wanted to brew it and she woudn't let them do it alone. She would make them some as well which they never seemed to drink.
Still there was a slight hiccup in her plan of running back to the school and that was she was clumsy. As she ran her foot began to slip in the now sloshy grass - her knee wavering slightly.
Then it happened she tripped - only inches from James at the time which of course made it perilous for him as well. She landed face - to - face with him as he had been running backwards. Something he was good at, and her not entirely. All she could do was laugh. "I'm sorry James didn't mean to well ruin your uniform." She appologized still laughing and smiling as she did so - because more nerves than anything else.

Then noticing Lily was on top of him laughing, he split a grin. So she had been the cause.
"No problem my fair lady, glad to have stopped your fall! I think I need a hot chocolate though." He said, wincing at the end as he rubbed his neck. He sat up slightly.
He looked at where she was lying on him and back up again at her face. "Uh, mind getting off me?" He asked.

Oh how that made his blood boil. He scowled as he walked on. He came across a freind of his and an idea popped into his head. All the Slytherins had been bullied by James, maybe they would beon board for little revenge scheme. Severus walked up to Austin and said, "Hey mate, would you like to help me prank James potter?". Theodore was skulking around the platform, letting his shoes scuff the floor here and there. He appeared to be quite tired, but that was probably because he didn't get too much sleep last night. Excitement, probably. His parents had already left by now, and Theo decided to hang around out here before he got on the train. He didn't like trains, they made him feel so ill and apprehensive.
After about 5 or 10 minutes of standing around doing nothing, Theo decided to flick his Slytherin scarf round his neck because it kept undoing itself, then boarded the train. He boarded it carefully, of course. Once he found an empty compartment, he looked out of the window and smiled. This was his seventh year! Theodore Primavera was becoming one of the ultimate BOSSES of Hogwarts. Heh.
Now... who was going to come and keep him company? He'd hope that he wouldn't be alone for much longer.

It was time for Collette to head off to school. With her hands in her pockets, Collette let out a loud sigh. She was loking forward to heading to school after al anything was better than home. And when she meant ANYTHING she meant ANYTHING. A trash bin would be better than home in fact, Collette had pondered the idea of living in a trash bin. She then came to her senses and realized it was honestly a TERRIBLE idea.
Hands in her pockets, Collette finally approached a compartment, smiling at one of her seventh year friends."Hey."She said to Mr. Theodore. "Mind if I sit with you, yeah?"She asked with a brow raised. Her leather luggage was in her hands as she spoke.
Ugh. School. Why did she even bother? Lauren had a perfect scowl on her face as she boarded the train and yanked open the door of a compartment to see a snogging couple. Disgusting. She rolled her eyes and slammed it. Didn't they know that love was just a made up story? It didn't exist. She continued to walk through the train rolling her eyes at the lovey dovey couples and, ugh, pathetic stuck ups. Finally finding an empty compartment she closed the door behind her with a loud bang, locking it with a slight wave of her wand and a silent charm.
The last thing she needed was visitors or people who decided to make her day even worst. And it hadn't even started yet.

Dumbledore thought heading to the train would be an idiot idea - and well here she was - she and James had apparated to the Hogshead the day before.

James grinned at her. "Thanks." He said, standing up. Noticing her anxiety, he grimaced slightly. "Bored and waiting for your friends? I understand. I haven't been able to prank anyone for a whole... Uh I mean, I just really want to see them..." Nice save James.

Raven had been looking for Lily everywhere where was she! She wasnt on the train...And she didnt know why....Was Lily not allowed to come back due to the attack on her parents?Raven didnt know at all...Raven was a Ravenclaw so she didnt know if she was at Hogwarts...She heard that she was on the Qudditch Pitch..When she was near by she yelled Lily! Are you there?Raven really didnt want to walk all the way up there and figure out that she wasnt there....

Lily had caught the words prank someone and let it slip, after all it did depend on who it was. "Prank Snape all you want." Lily whispered playfully as she held out her wand and quickly cleaned the mud off of James and his clothing.
"And I want to see my mates as well it'll be a blast to see them." She smiled. Chuckling softly, she added a quick "James you can definitely well be a prankster with well prank Snape if you like." Lily chuckled running a hand through her hair.
"Raven?" She heard her friend calling her name and smiled, turning she saw her. She wasn't speaking all that loudly at all.
ooc: they are arriving later, if they want to Lily had to be at school ahead of time.

James stared at Lily gobsmacked. "Seriously! you are giving me free reign to pranking Snape! YES!" James shouted, excitement clear on his face. He didn't even notice that Lily had magically removed the mud on his uniform.
Before running off to prepare a prank, James looked at Raven and Lily. "Do either of you know where Sirius, Remus or Peter are? Or even just Snape. I can solo prank!"
