Lily Evans didn't know what she had gotten herself into when she agreed to stay with James Potter over the summer break. Her parents were making arrangements for Petunia Evans, and Vernon Dursley’s wedding. Lily wasn't a fan of Vernon Dursley or his family, and she wasn’t a fan of the arrangements that Petunia had helped to make. Petunia, had of course found her Diary, which she had written, “I hate James Potter” on the first page, and so to tick Lily off, she purposefully made her stay with him. How will her summer escapades and rampant mischievousness change her life, and how will they effect her feelings for a certain, James Potter.
NOTE: ONLY FIRST POST IS FROM THE SUMMER, IT STARTS IN THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL.

Plot Information:

In the beginning Lily isn't fond of James Potter or his actions, but in the end she warms to him, and eventually the school year begins. This begins in the tail-end of the summer, but the first post is a basic motticum of emotions that Lily felt in the beginning of the summer before her new experience evolved into a whole new destiny. A Destiny that included a certain James Potter, as her new-found-love in her last and final seventh year at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Please when you join, do not ask for a character if you do not intend to stay in the RP for more that one or two posts, and if you so choose to join please inform people when you must leave. It will be most helpful.

Also, please use full sentences in this RP for example when your character laughs say laughed don't speak outloud saying LOL. This RP takes place before text speak was invented.

Dear Diary,
Petunia has made me stay over-summer with the Potters, how weird is that? She got a hold of my Diary that I forgot at home over the school year and in it, the first words were "I HATE JAMES POTTER". I feel really bad about it now, because I know I don't Hate James anymore, he was so oddeningly kind to me over the past month. We've only got three more weeks of summer break left, and I wonder what will happen between us considering my change-of-heart and his so clear obsession with being around me and wanting to well, date me.

PS. I think I might possibly like him.

Lily read the note she had written the week before and smiled, today some of her friends were showing up and they were attempting to help her through the end of the month and the end of the summer break. She really loved the Potter's home it was such a beautiful building with a magical inside-litterally, the inside was enchanted so its expanse was much larger than that it looked like it would be from the outside. It looked quaint from the outside, and on the inside it was quaint, but still oh-so-lavish.

Lily walked out of her room in the Potter's home putting her Diary on the end of her bed and locking it quickly. She walked down the stairs and out the back kitchen-door of the house. Where a small crystal-clear pond was visible there were no creatures like Giant Squids or Grindylows in the water here it was so beautifuly an Azure water. She walked to the waters edge and looked at all the small fish swimming around, she loved watching the water as much as she loved dazing off into fire-places.

She heard a slight hoot and looked up seeing a tawny owl with a letter about its leg. Taking the letter and opening it, she realized it was the Hogwarts leters.

Reading the letter she almost screamed. "I'VE GOT HEAD!" She yelled out in shock, she was head girl for her year. Head Girl! She wondered who Head Boy would be and assumed James would not be him, if it was James she would probably feint or blink at him repetatively saying "thats impossible!" Because it really was impossible.

She smiled and heard the door bell ring, walking to the door and opening it she smiled welcoming all the visitors into the home, it wasn't like James's parents would mind. They were constantly off on buisness, which made it possible for them to--well, have many moments alone in their large home. One morning, she had woken and found him gazing at her, and as she stood up, he walked over and planted a kiss on her lips. That was the day she realized she had feelings for him. The day she realized she actually was quite fond of James Potter.

"James?" Gin asked, her eyes getting rather wide, her throat making an odd nervous squeaking sound. "Are you serious? You think that would distract them or make them think of cursing us to oblivion?" She asked, biting her lip it wasn't that she wouldn't want to, it was just James Potter had suggested it. Which meant he figured her signs out, which meant Sirius probably knew and didn't want to tell her that he didn't like her back. Her mind was frantic.

Peter looked over to James, then to Remus, and in a hushed whisper spoke. "So what do you think they'll do then? Eh?" Smirking.

"I'm not serious, I'm James. Remember?" James said smirking as he had said the age old horrible pun. "You walked right into that one Gin!"

"But yes, I was being serious. I thought it was a good idea." James shrugged. "If you don't like it, I'll get Lily and make out with her. Probably won't work out as well but... If you guys aren't comfortable with making out."

Remus chuckled at the sight of Gin's face. He whispered back to Peter. "I think they will. They can't resist a chance to kiss."

Gin didn't mean to do anything that would deter anyone who possibly liked her from telling her, but she was shocked. Very shocked at James' offer. Even more at him suggesting Lily.

Lily had finished dinner, and looking to Mj & Mary, she smiled, "I'm just going to go see whats up over there - I mean, Sirius and Gin looked happy and then, well they dropped hands like dropped. I'm going to go er - investigate." She said with a smile, as she walked over to James's side.

"Hey Love, what did you say with my name - and who were you saying should snogg?" She had walked into the most importune part of the conversation.

"Sirius and Gin, as a way to distract Snape and Cat for the prank." Peter answered, not even looking at her. "The other option was you, and Gin - which might be a little too...yeah not good they don't exactly like Evans do they?"

"No but that doesn't matter," Gin sighed, "I mean - ugh i'd have to well talk to Sirius about that in person first because I don't want to ruin a friendship over a prank. I mean yeah right, um don't listen to me I'm just shocked that you even brought that up Potter!"

Lucien walked over to the group in time to hear the part of either Gin or Sirius kissing or Gin and Lily. He laughed, "Nah, I'd vote Gin and Sirius." He chuckled. "Seems forced otherwise I mean at least you two -" and his mouth was suddenly covered by his sisters own palm.

Gin couldn't believe he almost gave it away again.

"Fine I get it, bye Gin - guys" he smiled and ran off to the Common room where he found Alex. "Alex why didn't you stay down in the great hall and throw it in her face by flirting with her best friend?" He asked.

"Uh, I meant Lily and me guys. Not Lily and Gin." James pointed out. He smirked as Lucien almost revealed something that Gin wasn't happy about. Could it be Gin's crush on Sirius?

"How about we just get on with the prank? Instead of discussing this." Remus sighed, resisting laughing at how ridiculous the conversation was getting.

"I second getting on with it so you four should decide who goes out there." Peter chuckled, then looked over to Remus, his eyes darker than they were meant to be. "I hope they get it over with." He chuckled, still in the back of his mind the words playing on repeat were not even a rat would date you. not even a rat would date you. not even a rat would date you. not even a rat would date you. not even a rat would date you. not even a rat would date you. not even a rat would date you... and so his mind began to widdle away until eventually it would resemble that of a severely depressed man - or Swiss cheese.

"Oh James, I don't know if we would shock them - I mean they knew you liked me and Cat already saw us kiss." Lily pointed out, because they had kissed in the great hall before he left to come out here.

She couldn't help but laugh as Lucien left - sometimes he was a little bit of an idiot.

True still those words hurt like nothing she had ever experience and when the purebloods were going to throw mary into the water severus was the one who stood up and protected her. He even had gone in after her into the water even though he did not know how to swim. She hugged herself a bit and ate. “you know snape, you were the first to talk to him, and you are probably his first love. “ she mumbled with food in her mouth. She then swallowed and yawned. “Dumb jetlag still tired….” She said putting her head down. “Gin what are our plans against Cat?” she asked her friend. Then she smiled. “we can dump chocolate and some peanuts on her and have MJ chase after her.” She said with a grin. “that would be a sight since MJ never runs out of energy. I went running with her once and she had seven laps around the school before she stopped, and that’s only because she got into trouble for going into the forest…” she said remembering how she had stopped at one lap around the whole school.

She laughed and raised her head. “we can always call Maylin by her middle name.” she said with a grin and knew how much MJ hated her middle name. “Bokshil right?” she asked.

MARY WE SAID WE NEVER EVER, EVER; WOULD SAY THAT NAME!!!” Maylin protested and pouted. “lily she promised, and she broke her promise.” She said with a small cry. It was the name her mother had given her, but for some reason it made her sad. It made her feel lonely. “you promised mary mac!” she then begun to sing.

Mary followed and listened. "Well as far as distractions go, lily and james would shock people, but it would not work on Severus. "Right then," Gin spoke blushing all the while. "I'll go talk with him then." She shot Mary a quick thankful smile, walking over to Sirius, "so what do you think?" She asked biting her lip.

She gave him a quick nervous smile, tapping her finger on her leg as she spoke with him. "Sirius, um, about the idea James gave wh-er, what do you think of it? Did you hear it?" She was babbling, sighing she ran a hand through her hair.

Mary had, planned a devious plan to get both Gin and Sirius to kiss, but from the looks of it. James had beat her to it. She sighed sadly a mastered planned would be wasted and the ductape that she had bought to tie both of them up was going to have to be used to something else. She looked at Remus and wondered what him and Peter were talking about. She looked at Sirius and gin and smiled as she put her hands in her pockets to get her gloves on. still tired and cold, but she was beginning to adapt again.

Lily looked over, to Mary and smiled, with a laugh she spoke, "So, Mary too bad the little duct-tape wonder you told me about isn't going to be needed. I might end up using it on them anyways if this doesn't happen."

Lily sighed, she noticed Mary was shivering and took out a quick potion - a warming potion.

Oh and Nathan wants us to keep her on a leash with the sugar she might have diabetes." she told her and grinned as she saw gin. "Also there are other things that we can do to get them to kiss by force or willingly." she told her with a smile and took the potion. "thank you Lil's." she drank it and felt a bit warmer."i come from a warm place, and then I come here to snow and cold weather ahh the things i do for you my best friend."

"I know love," Lily smiled, giving Mary, a quick hug. Then, looking over to Mj she waved her over she didn't want her to be alone. I mean, what wee friends for?

She couldn't help but smile at what Mary said about the ductape, it was true that was an awful lot of tape to buy. "Anyways, Mary, I think they'll do it on their own soon." She hoped.

James groaned. "Can we pretty please get on with the prank?" He asked, almost begging. He was having prank withdrawal symptoms. He needed to prank, or a huge block of chocolate that he wasn't paying for. It would be just cheaper to prank.

"I have the potion ready and everything!" James whined.

"Alright, alright, now we only need to be patient" Lily laughed, "James you do know that Sirius and Gin are discussing the distraction method. Who knows what will happen." She smiled.

Lily looked over to James again, and smiled, reaching out her hand, she placed hers on his shoulder. "James, you know I love you right?" She asked even though she had never said those words before - so he wouldn't know he'd never know until she told him. She then, smiled and added a quick, "but those two look scared, lets give them a minute to work this all out."

Gin's eyes hadn't fully returned to normal they still had that shine of shock and almost fear in them. Boy was she ready for Sirius to tell her what he heard if he heard anything - why had she covered Lucien's mouth? She couldn't have just let him speak?

"Oh fiddlesticks" she cursed, kicking her foot to the ground. Not meaning to sound annoyed, she was just nervous.

"Okay, they can have a minute. Aww, come here." James said as he smiled, grabbing her in a big hug and kissing her. "I love you to!" James admitted, still hugging her tight.

"Lets leave Gin and Sirius to their discussion and go talk over there." James said pointing to a bench a little away.

James's exclamation of I love you too made Lily realize what she had said - still, deep down she didn't know she was always the type of person who had to have love proven to her through some gallant action - and that gallant moment would happen soon, very soon. Lily smiled at James, "Alright love, lets go then," she smiled as she walked over to the bench, holding onto James's hand. She could tell he was happy and that he was saying the truth when he said he loved her - but still proving it would be worth while if ever she began to doubt it. But, today she didn't doubt.

She smiled at James, and took a seat on the bench. "James, how long have you loved me?" Lily asked the weighty question, her eyes filled with a hunger for knowledge - and it was more a passion to know what he truly felt for her and when. Because, after all she had called him arrogant all the years before, if he felt he loved her then, she might feel sorry for that might, just might.

James thought about it. "Well in third year it was just crushing until around fifth year when I was a little more serious about it and was crazy about you. But I began to truly love you just this summer. Remember that day at the beach? That day." He answered.

James smiled at the memory of it, him, Lily and his friends all mucking around at the beach. It had been nice.

"You mean the day that we first kissed?" Lily asked blushing fuschia, she bit her lip and smiled, "that was a really nice day it wasn't until then that I realized I really did like you - it was more after the kiss because I actually felt something even though I said I didn't then." She sighed, "I was -ugh just nervous you know, scared you'd not accept it. I should have just told you then right would have made more sense?"

"Yep. That day rocked! You thought I wouldn't accept that your feelings had changed? Puh-lease. I've been pining after you for 5 years! I've been ready for you to finally accept me for ages!" Or maybe that was an exaggeration.

"Ok, it did surprise me a bit. Besides, you not telling me was fine. Had we gotten together on the holidays Sirius would have been lonely if we became all coupley. And he would have bugged us about it. At least here we can let Remus control him." James grinned at her.

"So stop feeling bad. I'm alright with you totally hating me all those years. What's past is past!" Hmmm, that sounded kind of... Philosophical. Feeling smart, James gave a proud smile.

"Really James I knew it was a long time but I didn't know it was since second year." Lily joked, nudging James playfully in the shoulder. She knew what James had said about the summer might have been true, but things might have been better had she been able to bring another muggle-born friend with her. Namely one Ginerva Kensington.

Lily smiled over to James, with a soft look upon her face, she spoke "James, you know as well as I do that Mr. Lupin doesn't have to protect Sirius and keep himself occupied for one there are more girls here, and not to mention there's Kensington." Lily nodded her head in the direction of Sirius and Ginerva. "I mean its obvious isn't it?" She asked not bothering to elaborate.

Lucien walked over to Alex, "dude, she's not going to stay with him and you know that. This will wash over fast." And maybe, Lucien was right - however he was usually very and oh so utterly wrong with these types of predictions. For Lily would be with James till death.

Leaning forward she gave him a kiss on the cheek.

Severus had been working on a new potion after Cat left and the time seemed to fly and before he knew it it was dinner time. He put his stuff away and bottles the finished potion. If it worked it was supposed to make one very ill for about 24 hours, vomiting, high fever and all that but no potion should be able to counter it. He bottled the potion and heaed up for dinner. There he saw Cat kiss Austin on the cheek, awe, how cute. Atleast she finally gave up on him. Cause his heart, well.... He walk over to Cat and Austin and said, "Hey you two lovebirds, mind if I join you?", Severus said taking a seat and piling some food on his plate. He then scanned the room for Potter, he did not seem to be there yet, oh well. He hoped he had not come and gone or he would have to wait to test his potion in the morning.

"I think the marauders are planning some devious prank." Cat exclaimed how they had all been in for dinner and then suddenly one by one they left, she even mentioned how Sirius and Ginerva had held hands for a little bit. It was cute, but nauseating. "It made me want to vomit." She exclaimed with a huff.

"I slip this into the pitcher of pumpkin juice at their pumpking juice and everyone of them will be ill for 24 hours. It is supposed to dissolve completely and be odorless and tastless. I guess we shall see tomorrow. And yeah, Gin and Sirius getting close, that is nasty. But not nearly as nasty as James Lily eh.". He really hoped he was not the only one on that.
