The mouth of the road is barren, characterized by huge rocks and crumbling boulders that leave in one’s mouth the taste of dirt, rusting metal and steady, very very dusty erosion. You breathe, you cough. The sky is orange, ready to kick up a sandstorm anytime. All is dust.

The fork in the path opens up two routes: The left comes to a dead end, a wall of rock and sandstone, and the right leads onwards, farther into the rocks, and you find that the scenery begins to change. Shrubs seem to sprout of the ground, trees commence to rise. Within fifteen minutes, all is green.

Welcome to Forest Delgo.

Delgo starts with a cheerful green clearing but, as you go inwards, the trees begin to grow thicker. There is the smell of wet mud in the air, and you know from it that, somewhere, there is water. Farther in, the starts of a stream begin, and the water gathers speed, transforming into a pure, gushing river as it goes on. Much, much deeper in, there is a waterfall but, for now, you can not see it.

Vegetation is, by no means, scarce. The trees are pretty thick, happy types that do not scare in the least, even at the points where they shut out much – or all – of the light. There are songbirds around but, deeper in, there are other creatures, perhaps wilder, perhaps tamer. Not where you stand, though.

Where you stand is nothing but green land and blue sky.

Hmp. Viad was enjoyin' this. He paused now an' then to bite into the delicious smore he had roasted, but it was soon finished an' he was singin' with all of his might again as he held another stick over the fire, absolutely unaware of what was goin' on between that Fyo kid and Alice girl.

Fyo's keen gaze took in Uncle Henry as they sang, took in the way he was enjoying his snack, and the boy could not help feeling satisfied. He could say that, for once, all of the people present were having fun, even the Moustache!Man - errr, Uncle Henry.

He gave Butterfly's hand another squeeze, really wanting to lean in a bit and get some of her warm cheek with his lips, but he decided against it - If Uncle Henry was enjoying himself, for once in his lifetime, Fyo definitely did not want to ruin it for the gruff but - beneath that hard exterior - loving man.

Fyo felt - there was no other word for it - amazing. It was good, really good, to be seated here, by the merry, roaring campfire that lit up the otherwise-sable; to be seated here as tiny droplets descended from the dark clouds to remind him that they were in the great outdoors.

He just hoped Torin and Reese were having as much fun as he was - Uncle Henry, for one, was. Fyo's gaze wandered, every now and then, to the Moustache!Man, and he had to smile at the way UH was singing along. It would not have taken a genius to tell that the man was - what was the phrase? Ah yes - "sweet" on campfire singing. Hehehe.

Viad grinned to himself as the song began to come to its close, decidin' that he had definitely enjoyed it. Strange - because, since this campin' thing had begun, those kids had hardly let him enjoy anythin'. The stick was still over the fire, an' Viad grinned again as he sang.

Alice really really liked this. This trip, being with her Lion, friends, tent, Campfire and oh..yes Uncle Henry too. Her fingers automatically went to rub on her bruishes. He was a kind man inside but very rough exterior like a Jackfruit. Mhmm.

Fyo could tell she was feeling the same as he was. But what was he feeling? Love? He had still to decide what love between two people was. If it was feeling someone was a larger, more beautiful, more trustworthy part of your life than you yourself were, then he was definitely feeling "love."

He repeated the closing lines of the song, before finally letting the tune die down. "I love you," he half-whispered to Lissy, slightly leaning towards her as he spoke. Then he turned his attention towards the poor, neglected vegetable soup, letting its flavour wash in his mouth.

"You should try this," he told Lissy with a grin, offering her a spoon alongside his own bowl. Same bowl, YAY! "It's more delicious than I thought it would be." He turned to Uncle Henry. "You want some, Uncle Henry?"

In a separate bowl, of course. Mwaha!

Viad's ears were back to their usual super keen selves the moment the song ended. "Good job," he told the Alice girl gruffly, mostly because she was the one who had started the song. "You kids did a better job than I would have expected...... kids like you to do." What he had really wanted to say was "annoyin', little brats like you to do" but (it was wonder that) he decided not to.

He looked at the Fyo kid again when the boy asked him if he would like some vegetable soup. Viad frowned for a second, wonderin' what to say. For him, vegetable soup was often a campin' must, because of all the nutrition it provided. "Fine, I guess," he said after a moment, tippin' some of the thing in a bowl. "It had betta taste good, kid."

"I think it tastes delicious," he said with a shrug, when Uncle Henry told him the soup had better taste good. "I don't know how you like yours, though. Do you, like, have something extra with it?"

By the second she heard his half-whispering words, Alice couldnt help but said, "I Love you too" a bit loudly, ignoring the fact that there were other people around them. Especially his uncle, love-hater. Alice blinked twice and looked down at their linked hands pretending to nothing had happened.

Soup! Was he serious about the soup now?! Alice took a glance at the his soup bowl, ignoring her own bowl, she took a spoon and scoop some. She stretched out her hand upto his mouth, "YOu first" she grinned.

"Of course it's not what I was goin' to say," Viad snapped, his moustache bristlin'. The nerve of that kid! "I was going to say annoyin' little brats, if you must know, but I decided not to because you've been behavin' a little betta for the past ten minutes." Or was it five? Probably five. You couldn't expect kids who HUGGED an' had surprises that included girls afraid of SPIDERS to behave for ten minutes. Nope, no way.

He swallowed a spoonful of soup, takin' his time to decide what he thought of its taste. It was good, but Viad believed it could have been more nutritious. "I don't have somethin' extra," he told the Fyo kid. "But I always have plenty of vegetable in it. You kids think campin' is fun, don't you? Well, it's not fun for me because I have a serious job of it, kid. That's why the vegs are necessary - if you only have time for two bites, you have to make those two bites worth somethin'. You get that?"

"An' you!" He pointed at the Alice girl. "Must you do that in front of me, girl?" he growled. KIDS!

We're friends, we're here to enjoy, we can't help it!" But Uncle Henry was pointing at Lissy, now. Fyo shook his head, deciding this was an absolutely hopeless case.

The soup. The veg soup again. "Fine," Viad snapped, finishin' the bowl in one, huge swallow. "Fine, I like it. Anythin' else, kid? AN' STAY AWAY FROM THAT GIRL, FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE! She's not your friend, is she? IS SHE?"

Alice grinned and nodded at Uncle Henry. Wait..why was she nodded?! Great. No. "Well..no uncle, actually i'm afraid to even breathe in front of you..." she giggled mildly and took a quick glance at Fyo sneakily.

She looked back at him properly now, "I'm sorry, I just couldnt help myself from saying it aloud" well only a bit aloud actually. She saw him swallowed the soup, her eyes following and moving down from his lips to lower neck when he did that. She licked her bottom lip, unawaringly and shook her head as if she woke up from the lil sleep. "Aw..Thank you Fyo" she said and took the soup into her mouth and laughed as he mentioned about others inconvenience over their mushy behaviour. "We should help them, really..." she added and looking at the campfire excitedly.

Well, he had certainly enjoyed singing, and now was eating soup. Yummy soup. It was really nice right now when it was starting to get late and a bit chilly. He wanted some smores, but felt it was best to finish his soup first.

And for once in his life, he was so engrossed in eating - as he was famished - that he didn't pay any attention to what was going on around him.

Torin Baked Alaska Kane was..... freaking him out. Why wasn't Tor talking of Bunbury? Like, a whole lot? What was wrong, here? "Bad!kitty!" Fyo called out, reaching to poke his best mate. "What's wrong? Don't you want anymore smores?" He held one in front of Torin as he spoke, for effect.

Then he turned to Fyo an' glared. Really hard. "You know fully well who I mean," he said. "I mean the Alice girl, an' you know it, kid."

Sleeping? That actually sounded like a good idea at this moment, because all the food was definitely making him drowsy. Fyo grinned to himself, more because he had noticed Uncle Henry's look towards Alice than anything else, and let his mind wander to WarmFuzzy figments of imagination.

"Yes, Uncle Henry, I know who you mean," he said, with a slight smile. "You know I can't help it, don't you?"

Torin Baked Alaska Kane was..... freaking him out. Why wasn't Tor talking of Bunbury? Like, a whole lot? What was wrong, here? "Bad!kitty!" Fyo called out, reaching to poke his best mate. "What's wrong? Don't you want anymore smores?" He held one in front of Torin as he spoke, for effect.

Alice covered her mouth, laughing as bent down her head at the conversations between Fyo and Uncle Henry. Fyo was really in funny mood today. Surely. Alice struggled to control herself from laughing loudly. No more provoking.

She looked back and forth at them and smiled, after somewhat she could able to uncovered her mouth Only to hug Fyo. She was helpless. Her eyes were dreamy. "I know Lion" she said in low tone, determined to behave good atleat in front of this woodyman. lol.

"Helping them means.."she trailed off, thinking, "Well..stop feeding to each other" her eyes were dancing and glinted in the brilliant light of Campfire.

ButterLionhug, RAWR. Fyo held Butterfly for a second, feeling like he had not hugged her since forever. Which was, of course, not true, because he had hugged her pretty much an hour or so ago. He could never get tired of ButterLion hugs, though. They were just too.... mmRAWR!

Helping them meant not feeding each other? Fyo blinked, then suddenly laughed. "Silly," he called her, briefly sticking his tongue out at her in a very child-like way, before turning to Torin. "Did you hear that, bad!kitty?" he asked, picking up a spoon, scooping up some soup into it, and offering it to Torin with a laugh. "Let's eat!" Tee hee.

Fyo turned towards Lissy, realizing she looked sort of lost, now. "Earth to Miss Winchester, earth to Miss Winchester," he said, smiling slightly. "You look like you're thinking of some faraway fairytale, Butterfly," he told her, gently poking her forearm. "Me love you."

ANd Uncle Henry was telling them that they needed to hurry up. That dude seriosuyl needed to learn how to chillax.

"Okay, after you read that poem." And before Fyo could reply, he had dashed to the tent and headed over to his bag. He had the poem in there somewhere. It was in his scrapbook.

When he found the book, he ran back out and gave it to Fyo, opening it to the right page. "Read it."
