Fyo was watching her, oh yes he was. If she was going to tackle him, he knew he had to be ready. Mostly because he had told her he would expect it, no matter when she did it. Hmmm....

"Yeah, dehydrated," he said. "But it's going to be awesome once the water's been added," he laughed. He knew that from earlier experience, you know. Non-vegetarian stuff? "As in - chicken?" Fyo asked. "Why not, Butterfly?" There had to be some chicken cream soup in all those food supplies, yup.

Torin was hurt now when Fyo started yelling at him. He was doing a real Torin pout now. He got up and headed right over to the campfire.

Maybe he had been too harsh? Fyo bit his lip a bit as Torin came over, looking slightly down. "Here, roast these," he said, handing Tor the basket of smores. "But please don't run off with them," he added, with a sort of grin, as he tried to get his best friend to smile.

Alice had to hide her overly enthusiastic face when she had planned the right time and place of tackling him. Tackling her Lion. Ofcourse Yes. Leaving that thought aside Alice grinned, "Well..sounds good. but I'm not talking about chicken soup, Fyo." she paused, giggled, "Have you ever heard about worm soup?" she asked and showed the worms around their packages on the ground a bit away from them. "Green worm soup!! Sounds cool na?" she laughed as threw her head back. Then she stood up and sitting inbetween Fyo and Torin now.

He had no business to touch her Fyo and called him Lion. No way. She moved closer to Fyo and snuggled to his side.

He looked up when Fyo joined him. Taking the bucket, he smiled weakly. "And what would you do if I did run off with them?" he asked as he reached in and grabbed some to roast for them. God, he loved smores.

Fyo turned to Butterfly, not sure if he had heard her correctly. Who in the name of Merlin's pink shoe didn't like smores? Butterfly maybe, Fyo guessed. "Don't you like them?" he asked her, a little uncertainly.

She was back to happy, awesome! Fyo smiled slightly, sitting up straighter as he listened to her talk. His eyes widened at the mention of the worm soup though. Ewww. "You're joking," he began, before looking at the ground and realizing there were a few insects around. He smiled slightly, picking up their baskets and placing them a bit closer to the merry campfire.

"They won't come any nearer," he laughed. "The heat of the fire is going to keep them away." To his surprise, she had just stood up and found herself a seat between.... him and Torin. Fyo looked at her, slightly confused. "Everything alright, Lis?" he asked, placing an arm around her.

"I'd sit here and cry," Fyo laughed. In reality, he would probably chase Torin, but he was pretty sure Torin was already aware of that. Fyo reached out to grab some of the bread dough, and began to wrap it on a stick. When roasted to golden-brown bread, this dough was going to taste awesome.

"Drop them on the ground and you are going to regret it," Reese told him. Was she afraid to hit? Of course not. They weren't at school, so she didn't have to worry about getting detention with Kazimeriz. Yet, there still was that Henry dude. What would he do if she hit Torin?

She raised her eyebrow at the next sentence that came out of Torin's mouth. All she said was, "Huh?" That did NOT make any sense at all.

Reese gave Fyo a little smile. Torin should know by now that he shouldn't get between her and chocolate and s'mores had chocolate. If it was chocolate frog that Torin was hiding, he would already have been hit. Unfortunately, s'mores aren't chocolate frogs...nor will they ever be chocolate frogs. "You should get one," she told Fyo. "There are some good sticks over there." She pointed in the direction of the place she had got her stick from.

She blushed when Fyo mentioned giving Jack a kiss. Gosh, what was up with Torin and Fyo? First, Torin wanted them together. And now they are together, Fyo wanted them to kiss. "You don't even know if I want to kiss Jack or not," she said. Was she ready to kiss Jack? She wasn't too sure about that.

She turned back to Torin for a few moments and then she heard Fyo say he got the s'mores. "WHOO!" She exclaimed. She would have clapped her hands, but she was holding a stick at the moment. She pointed her stick closer to Torin when Fyo ran behind her her. "You are not getting them back," she told him.

O___O Torin was pouncing on THEM!

Reese dived to the left, so that Torin would pounce on her too. She dived right into the ground and she stayed there for a few seconds before she moved her body to where she could see Fyo and Torin. She watched Torin as he started tickling Fyo and then Torin started talking about Bunbury.

Charming? Beautiful? Hair is like sunlight? Ew. It was not right for Torin to be saying this about his Professor. She stood up from the ground and wiped the dirt off her shorts.

"Can I knock some sense into him now?"

"Yes, let's have some dinner," Reese agreed. She walked near the campfire and sat her stick down. She was still going to keep it just in case she needed to hit Torin with it. Seriously, she did NOT like hearing Torin talk about Bunbury over the summer!

Reese took in a few deep breaths and turned to Torin. She was about to pick that stick back up and just give Torin a few good hits with it. "Torin," she said. "Stop it! Just, stop it! You know how crazy you are sounding right now? What if I started talking about how pretty a Professor's hair was? What would YOU think to that? You would think I was crazy, wouldn't you? So, just stop it."

After talking to Torin, Reese turned her attention back on Alice. She laughed a long with her when she mentioned having a Badger in a Snake Pit. "Yeah," she agreed. She glanced down at her shoes as she listened to the girl ask what year her brother was it. "He was a second year last year. But, he's going into his third year this year," she answered. "He's name is Jake Upstead. You might know him, you might not." She shrugged.

"Good idea," Fyo agreed. "I really am getting one, just wait a second." He stood up, for once not dusting his clothes as he did so, and went over to where Reese had pointed. A few, broken branches lay on the ground and, shining his torch on to them, Fyo selected one that looked quite like a random, non-pointy stick.

"Good one, isn't it?" he asked, coming back and showing off the thing to Reese. "Torin better be scared of us, now," he said with a laugh.

Perhaps Torin Kane's Bunz!mind did, after all, need a good whack. He, Fyo, would never hurt Tor on purpose, but this was just going.... too far.

Whoa, whoa, WHOA. Reese sure was fiery, today. No wonder, either, seeing how silly Torin was acting. Fyo continued to cook his wrapped bread dough over the fire, his stick of DOOM! lying next to him. He and Reese must look funny, he realized suddenly, roasting smores with odd-looking sticks at their sides. Hehehe.

"Let's just forget Professor Bunbury for a second, shall we?" he asked, looking around at all of them. "So.... who's good with campfire songs? We should have one, right now!"

What were these kids up to now? The Torin kid - who, once upon a time, Viad had thought was the most sane of them all - kept talkin' about someone who, by the sound of it, was his teacher. "ORDER!" Viad shouted, flailin' his arms. "You!" He pointed a finger at Torin. "Stop the chatter, or go to your tent to catch up on your beauty sleep - even though I don't think the Burybunnies will fall for you, even if you DO catch up on it."

He then turned his face towards the Fyo kid an' the new girl. "Put down those sticks!" he commanded, before realizin' the sticks had already been placed down. "I mean," he tried again, his moustache bristling. "Stop threatenin' the obsessed kid with the sticks!" The obsessed kid being Torin. "An' get on with your dinner!" he added, with a brisk nod.

He neared the campfire a bit more, beginnin' to roast what looked like beef packed in an elongated bun - of course, you never knew with Viad but he wasn't THAT wild a thing now.

The corners of Fyo's lips twitched and, biting back a laugh - it would only enrage Uncle Henry, further - he smirked at Torin. Because he couldn't help it, and because the idea of Torin catching up on his "beauty sleep," to impress Professor Bunbury, was more than just funny: it was hilarious.

His smirk faded when Uncle Henry turned to him, though. "I'm not threatening no one," he mumbled, making sure to keep his voice low.



The bread-dough wrapped around the stick was beginning to turn brown, now. Hint of golden in all that colour, too. Puuurrrfeccttttt! Fyo withdrew it from the fire, watching the bread-on-a-stick begin to cool a bit. This was going to taste SO delicious! Or so he hoped.

"I heard that," Viad growled at Fyo. He didn't have keen ears fo nothin', did he now? The man-with-the-'stache stretched his legs a bit, continuin' to roast his beef-meal, not really offended by what the Fyo kid had said. Once his bun was a pure deep brown, the beef inside it sizzlin' from the heat, he lowered it an' inspected it. It had turned out just the way he had wanted it to - which wasn't such a huge surprise, because Viad had done this a gazillion times before.

He bit into the bun, enjoyin' its taste. Nice. Quite nice.

"So who mentioned somethin' about a song?" he asked 'em all, sure that someone had mentioned a 'campfire song' a moment or two ago. "No one singin'? No one hear know how to have proper fun 'round a campfire?"

KIDS!

Fyo smiled slightly when Uncle Henry said that he had heard him. "I knew you would, Uncle," he said, realizing that, for once, he had managed to call Uncle Henry "Uncle" and not, say, fat rhino or - well, you get the gist, right?

He eyed Uncle Henry's "meal" for a moment or two, before replying with an "I did" in response to the man's question. "I suggested we should have a song." Because campfires just didn't sound fun without campfire songs! "Why don't you start one, Uncle Henry?" he went on, wondering why Uncle Henry did not, if he was so sure that he and he alone knew how to have "proper fun 'round a campfire."

Viad stroked his moustache, wonderin' what the Fyo kid was tryin' to get at. But it was, Viad decided, a fair question why he wasn't startin' the singin'. After all, he was the REAL campin' master here!

"Fine," he told the Fyo kid gruffly, finishin' up his bun. Then he began to sing one of the warm-up songs he knew so well. Those kids had better join in, or he was goin' to send 'em off to catch up on their beauty sleeps an' all at once!

Fyo nudged Reese, Torin and Lissy, one by one. "We need to join in, sillies," he told them all. "Or he's going to have a fit." He kept his voice low, once more, this time sure that Uncle Henry would not hear - the man was too busy singing; and Fyo knew that, once UH started singing, he had little or no ears for unimportant things - especially kids he found most annoying.

Once he had nudged everyone, Fyo joined in the singing with enthusiasm, the song being one he had often sung around campfires. Campfire singing was.... just too awesome! The fourteen-year old could remember the last tim he had went camping with his parents, now. Ah, memories.

"Join in, join," Viad called over the roar of the flames as he grabbed another stick and began to roast a smore over the fire. If any of them didn't begin singin' a song to follow the openin' one soon, Viad decided he'd start it himself. As long as they joined in, of course.

Alice shrugged, "I dont know, I just dont like them right from my child hood." She looked back and laughing hard at his expression when she made comments on worm soup. Poor Fyo. Was he really thinking she was serious about this?! Alice shook her head and nudged on his side, "Yeah. I'm just kidding. Ewwwwwww..who would like worm soup except Timon" she bit her tongue.

As she felt his arm around her and asking was everything alright, Alice nodded her head. "Yeah." Lie..absolute lie "It's just i feel like snuggling you" she said simply and snuggled closer to his side more.

For her surprise, they started to sing Campfire song. Awesome. She started hum eventhough she didnt know the lyrics exactly. Lalalala...mhmmm...


"Iknow, b'cuz one of my sisters ended up in Gryffindor house" Alice giggled and started to like this Reese girl quickly. She was harmless as far as Alice knew and thought. "Well..unfortunately I didnt know him. How bad I'm" she laughed as admitted her mistake.

Aww. Fyo smiled slightly, arm still around her. "It's alright," he told her. "Everybody has different tastes, it doesn't matter if you don't like them." At least she liked chocolate. Which meant they had a WHOLE lot in common.

"Timon?" He repeated, blinking a bit. Who was this Timon, now? Or wait, was it a what? "Who - or what - is Timon?" he asked her, quite interested in knowing who [or what] in the world would actually eat worm soup. Because, honestly, that sounded really, REALLY disgusting.

He was sure she was hiding something, but let the matter pass as she snuggled closer to him and began to hum. "Would you like to start a song, Butterfly?" he asked her gently, catching the expression on Uncle Henry's face, and realizing the man would only wait a moment or two longer before beginning to sing something new.

He was great and very understanding. Alice looked up at his face and fighting the urge to kiss him atleast on the cheek. Only one. Please. Uncle Henry? Why dont you just go to sleep now? Haha. Alice giggled inwardly at her wishes. Fair enough. "Yes. Even my mom was surprised by this. By my unique taste" she smiled and shrugged at her own weird habbits.

"Awe..Sorry. Timon is a fictional character in Muggles cartoon film" she giggled properly now. "That character likes the worm soup always. I used to see that show in one of my Muggle friend's house" she explained and leant her head on his shoulder more.

Alice smiled and looking around everyone for a second and nodded, "yeah I'd luff to sing one but..with one condition.." she paused, bitting on her bottom lip nervously, "Only if you promised not to laugh when i sing" she said and burried her face onto his side. Oh..Fyo..help me!

"It's a little unique, definitely," Fyo agreed, not at all surprised at her mother's surprise - no play on words intended, by the way. He listened to her explanation about "who" Timon was, a slight smile creeping up his face. "You're silly, Butterfly," he told her. "I was wondering what made you think of worm soup, and stuff like that. Now I know."

He noticed the sudden change in her expressions when he asked her if she would like to start a song, and wondered what she was going to say. A yes, hopefully? Hopefully. When she spoke again, he listened quietly, before half-smiling again. "Awww, I'm not going to laugh, Butterfly," he assured her, as she buried her face into his side. "Go on, sing something. I promise I won't say anything." Except sing along if I know the lyrics, of course.

"That's your cue, I guess," Fyo laughed, giving Lissy's hand a light squeeze. "Let's hear that song, Butterfly."

She chuckled. She was strange sometimes, she knew that. But it always felt comfortable and easy whenever Fyo was with her. He was her personal comforter. Hehe. New name to her Lion. Rwrar!! "Yes. But I dont bother about that much. It's me totally me." she said with a mild chuckle.

Timon. Pumba. Wow..she missed the series for long. With that thought Alice smiled, taking his hand in hers, she spoke, "Haha. You did now. So there's someone in the world who likes worm soup" she laughed as threw her head back. Funny. Calm down Alice!


Alice looked up at him. Me now! Aw. Okay okay. Alice cleared her throat and started recalling the words to sing properly. Gosh..this was going to be fun. "Okay get ready for the fun" she started singing softly and shyly as leant on Fyo's side comfortably...

"Make sure you never," Fyo said, when Lissy told him that was her. "Because I love you exactly the way you are." And always will. It would break his heart, if she ever left him. But she wouldn't - she wouldn't, would she? Why does the future have to be so uncertain?

He would have replied to that worm soup comment of hers, but Lissy had begun to sing, and Fyo was too taken by the feel of her hair against his shoulders, by the sound of her voice in his ears, to do so. She was singing a song he knew, but he was well aware it was not just a song. It was her feelings. More than her feelings - His feelings. His prayer.

Very slowly, he joined in, happy at being there, happy at being surrounded by people he loved dearly - umm, yes, Uncle Henry was an exception.

Now that was what was called singin'! "Good job, good job, keep goin' on, lassie!" Viad called over all the tuneful music. "Now that's what they call real campfire music!" For once, the man was pleased, an' the way his moustache bristled made it clear. Bitin' into his smore, he joined in at once.

There was no need and not even a faint chance to talk about others and other things as the song lyrics brought back their memories and bringing out their hearts' desire and wishes.

Alice put her arm around his waist, singing along with Fyo happily and so intently.

Her eyes were closed, taking his sweet scent into her, Alice kept singing. No more botherings about her own voice and singing pattern as long as Fyo was with her and singing along with her encouragingly. Heaven!

Fyo felt Lissy's arm around him, and he loved the sweetness of it. The wind was picking up, and it was beginning to rain, but the droplets were only very tiny things that did not even threaten their merry, roaring fire.

He had always loved this song but now, singing it round the campfire with Torin bad!kitty, Reese and Butterfly made it all the more special. It was definitely a memory he was going to remember. Forever.
