The mouth of the road is barren, characterized by huge rocks and crumbling boulders that leave in one’s mouth the taste of dirt, rusting metal and steady, very very dusty erosion. You breathe, you cough. The sky is orange, ready to kick up a sandstorm anytime. All is dust.

The fork in the path opens up two routes: The left comes to a dead end, a wall of rock and sandstone, and the right leads onwards, farther into the rocks, and you find that the scenery begins to change. Shrubs seem to sprout of the ground, trees commence to rise. Within fifteen minutes, all is green.

Welcome to Forest Delgo.

Delgo starts with a cheerful green clearing but, as you go inwards, the trees begin to grow thicker. There is the smell of wet mud in the air, and you know from it that, somewhere, there is water. Farther in, the starts of a stream begin, and the water gathers speed, transforming into a pure, gushing river as it goes on. Much, much deeper in, there is a waterfall but, for now, you can not see it.

Vegetation is, by no means, scarce. The trees are pretty thick, happy types that do not scare in the least, even at the points where they shut out much – or all – of the light. There are songbirds around but, deeper in, there are other creatures, perhaps wilder, perhaps tamer. Not where you stand, though.

Where you stand is nothing but green land and blue sky.

Indigo smiled in triumph as Fyo was forced to introduce her to that girl. She would have smirked, but that would have ruined her good looks so she didn't. Instead, she gave Alice a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.

"Nice to meet you Alice," she said, almost a little coolly. Then she looked right at Fyo. "Torin told me. If it's something you wanted to hide from everyone, I'm sorry. I didn't know you were ashamed of your girlfriend."

Her tones were still something like cold as she spoke to Lissy, and Fyo was not sure how to take that. His dislike of Indigo had been instant, and he had no idea why. But the fact that she did not like Lissy wasn't helping Indigo get into his good books. Question was, why did she? Not like Lissy, that is? He just did not get why Indigo was.... acting this way.

But then he was angry, pretty much very angry as Indigo finished speaking. "I'm sorry, Moretti, but you don't have a right to interfere in my personal matters," he said, trying not to sound both heated and fierce. "It's enough for me that I know how glad I am to have Lissy. I don't need your opinion on that, so it would be better if you kept it to yourself."

She had made him angry, an' the thought gave Indigo satisfaction. She was just mad at his girlfriend, really mad because she didn't like competition! She looked right at Fyo and smiled.

"Why, Fyo, you're gettin' angry over nothing," she said, suddenly givin' her usual, charmin' laugh. "Of course my opinion isn't needed, but it's still not nice to know you're ashamed of your girlfriend. I'm sure Alice deserves better. Don't you think so too, Alice?" she said, turnin' to Alice.

She was enjoying making him angry, enjoying seeing him angry, Fyo realized that in a very sudden moment. He had never hated anyone - not really, anyway - and she was definitely pushing him towards that.

Why was she even here?

"I'm not ashamed of her," he said, through gritted teeth. If Indigo had been a boy, he would have punched her. But she wasn't, and he couldn't, would never, that he knew. "And don't try to talk to Alice."

Indigo gave Fyo a sweet smile. "I dare say," she said, clearin' her throat a little when he said he wasn't ashamed or whateva. "Though I don't think you should tell me not to talk to Alice, Fyo. She can make her own decisions, sweetie - - she doesn't need you makin' them for her." Her voice was still sweet an' pretty friendly.

If there were any more exchanges of words between them, Fyo knew he would lose all of his patience, and his voice might escalate. And that, more than anything else, was what he wanted to avoid.

"Fine," he said, giving a shrug of his shoulders to finish the verbal fight, even though inwardly he was still pretty heated up. "I'll let her make her own decisions. Now can we go somewhere else?" He looked at Torin, Reese and Lissy as he spoke, because his question was directed at them.

Not at Indigo.

He was givin' up? Indigo wanted to narrow her eyes, but didn't. This wasn't good - - what did Fyo have in his mind? She wanted to know. An' she was goin' to get back at him for being rude to her, if that was the last thing she did.

"Yup, let's go," she said, even though he hadn't looked at her when askin' the question. "It's gettin' boring here anyway."

Fyo did not like the way she spoke, not at all. There was just something really deceptive about her smile, something deceptive about her laugh. Trust Butterfly to take everything calmly. Fyo was just beginning to realize how much of a hot-headed person he had been lately, but it really wasn't his fault. With Uncle Henry-s and Indigo-s there to make his life a not-so-nice thing, he just couldn't help getting furious, sometimes! Of course, UH was a whole load better than Indigo. For now, at least.

Fyo was not in his best mood now. He was in a great mood just a few minutes before, teasing and laughing with her inside the water and all through the way back here. But now..everything had been changed. B'cuz of this Indigo girl. But still she had nothing against her. She knew she might be in jealousy or something. Alice shrugged her shoulder, "Well..by the way she's talking to you, I thought like that. Sorry" she apologized.

"Where are we going now?" she asked, hands snaked around his waist comfortably.

He looked back and forth between Fyo and Indigo feeling slightly confused. Though he was sure of one thing now: He didn't like her anymore. No one talked to his best friend like that. No one.

He was slightly protective of Fyo, he had to admit. Not in the sense that he thought that Fyo was his - obviously - but in that no one was allowed to treat him like crap.

"Okay, want to go for a hike?" he cut across the conversation while looking at everyone other than Indigo. She wasn't coming if she was mean to FyoLion.

He turned to Torin, shaking his head. "Not in the mood," he said, with a shake of his head. "Let's just... go back to camp, or something." Having said this, he set off at a trot, feeling kinda sleepy, all of a sudden. Maybe Torin had been right - they shouldn't have gotten up so early. Fyo was actually looking forward to a nap, now. Yay, yay, nap!

Rubbing his eyes, Fyodor Balouch sat up. The boy squinted at his surroundings, a little unsure where he was. It was certainly a moment before the day's events came back to him, and he realized he had made his way back to their - his and Torin's - tent, after the "incident" with Indigo.

It seemed like he had had his nap. The young boy stretched his arms, then grabbed his wristwatch. Immediately, his mouth dropped open - his nap had stretched over several hours! It was now late in the afternoon, oh my! Shaking his head, now wide-awake and not at all sleepy, he glanced around for Torin. Where was his bad, BAAAAD kitty?

Viad was in a rotten mood. He had come back after lots of tirin' things - to realize that all the kids were in their tents.

Indigo was outside, pettin' a squirrel - the dear girl! - and he was glad that at least one of those kids were sensible. Where were the others anyway? He shook his head, then went over to the boys' tent.

"YOU BOYS!" he said, going' right into the tent without any warnin' whatsover. "The huggy boy an' the Burybunnies kid - what are you two doin'?"

"Nothing," Fyo said, rubbing his shoulders as he sat up a little straighter. Despite the sleeping bag, the ground felt cold, and Fyo was not sure if sleeping down there was the best experience. "Are you back, then?"

What a question. Le sigh.

Torin was tired. Really tired. He had just took a long hike around the woods by the camp site and almost got lost once before he made it back. Not that he would ever admit that to anyone of course.

But he had needed the fresh air. And the break. The peace and quiet. Escape from Indigo had been a major player in this decision of course. As the more that he had seen of her, the less he liked her. It seemed that her enchantment over him due to her beauty had worn off.

Yawning, he entered the camping site again and made his way over to the tent. For some reason, upon opening the flap he found uncle Henry inside.

Viad turned round as the Torin kid walked into the tent. Hmph. What did these kids think this was? Some fun place? It was dangerous here! Or, well, could be if they didn't take care. "Where have you been?" he asked Torin, flarin' up, but he fell quiet as the kid answered that.

Viad caught the bit about Indigo though. "What do you mean?" he asked loudly an' definitely not too kindly. "You talkin' about Indigo? She's a sweet lass, that one."

What kind of charm had Indigo cast on Uncle Henry? "She's not sweet," Fyo said, rolling his eyes at Uncle Henry's statement. "I bet you don't even know how she acts when she's not around you, and around other kids."

He wasn't backbiting - Uncle Henry just needed to know that niece of his wasn't as much of an angel as UH thought she was. Really.

Viad gave the Fyo kid a killin' glare. "Don't talk nonsense," he snapped. He had seen Indigo a whole lot, an' she had always acted a complete sweetie in front of him. She didn't even raise her voice! An' she was always laughin'! "She's sweet-natured enough. Of course, she's not like you kids, huggin' boys an' all."

He turned towards the Torin kid. "Did you just say somethin' about the Burybunnies again?"
