Honestly, she didn't see so much of a difference in the castle since she'd arrived. It still looked as grand and regal as it did the first time she had the fortune of seeing it, even if there was a not so healthy coating of dust on everything. Though she couldn't quite have that in her office. Not when she had three kitties who had sensitive little noses and tummies as it was. Perhaps the office was due for a good cleaning before she started to unpack her things. There was a good few hours before the feast so she had time. | |

Leaving Madonna and Diamond to inspect the library and sniff out possible rats Leo picked up his chocolate present bag and headed towards Medea's domain. He wasn't sure if the dark haired defense against the dark arts professor had arrived to the school yet or not. If she hadn't then he could always come back later. Taking the staircase down to the first floor Leo proceed up to Medea's office door and knocked on it. Taking a step back he waited to see if she was in.

Erma was doing a mighty helpful job of scattering all the dust balls under the hard to reach places, in which Medea happily ignored for now while she took out her wand and started to clean the more simple and easy to reach places. Like her desk and easel. It'd only been a few minutes before there was a knock at the door, and she had to remind herself that school had not yet started. It wasn't a student, and if it were, well...
Someone had some explaining to do.
Opening the door, she half expected the blond divination professor to be standing there, but, oh! Oh, this was unexpected. "Leo." she said, surprise as clear as day in her tone. And there went Erma trying to climb his leg with her de-clawed paws. | |

From the little he had seen when he had walked through the library Leo knew that his first weeks back would be focused on cleaning. There was dust and moth balls everywhere and if he hadn't been imagining it, he had also heard an omniscient dropping sound coming from somewhere in the library. It didn't bode well. Books and water was not a healthy combination.
Leo had almost given up and was just about turn on his heel and leave when Medea opened her office door. "Medea." he greeted with a soft smile. "Do you need any help unpacking?" Feeling something trying to climb his leg, Leo looked down and stroked Erma behind the ears. "Hi Erma." he murmured as he bent down to pick the cat up before it ruined his new trousers.

The defense professor smiled a little more as Leo picked up the fluffy cat. "Oh..." Glancing into her office, she wondered if it would be worth it to have him help. Unpacking was a rather simple task. A flick of the wand and she'd be done in a matter of minutes, though, there was no need to turn away the visit so quickly. If at all. There was tea too, after all. "...sure. Come on in."
She opened the door a little more and moved out of the way.

Wrestling both the bag of chocolate and Medea's fluffy cat Erma was not exactly and easy feat. Leo was relieved when Medea allowed him to come into her office. Stepping inside ahead of Medea he called over his shoulder. "I got something small for you. You like light chocolate right?" Hopefully she did otherwise Leo would feel totally embarrassed for being positive that she did like it.
Trying not to think on that too much Leo went over to one of comfy chairs and put Erma down. Even if the kitten was declawed it would be tiring to keep carrying it. "So did you have a good summer?" he asked as a way to start up the conversation.

Closing the door behind him, her eyebrows raised from another unexpected surprise. He'd gotten her chocolate? "Oh, thank you. I don't object to it." she spoke softly, a chuckle under her breath. She may have to up her morning yoga and exercise routine, what from her summer's unhealthy turn. Speaking of summer, she was asked just that!
"It vos nice, yes. Bit more active than usual." And not a single seminar either, now that she thought about it. How unfortunate. Seeing as her tea set was not in it's usual place upon the table in the middle of the room, Medea pursed her lips and turned to one of the three trunks sitting out of place in the office. One of those held it...
"How vos your summer?"

Won't object to it? That was an unorthodox way to say you liked something. Leo shrugged and held out the chocolate bag to Medea with a soft smile "I'm not exactly sure what kind of chocolate the bag holds. I got it at a chocolate factory I visited with my nephew Lucas this summer." It had been fun to taste different types of chocolate and also to try making some chocolate too under supervision.
"Oh, what did you do this summer?" he asked curiously. Leo knew Medea usually spent time with Calista but maybe she had done other things too. Stealing a glance at Erma that was now comfortably occupying a whole chair for herself, Leo disregarded the idea of moving the cat and instead plopped down in the other chair in front of Medea's desk.
Back to summer talk.
"My summer was good. Spent a lot of it with my nephew Lucas and I also visited Hawaii with two old friends from school."

"A surprise, voooow. Even better. That's very sveet of you." The dark haired woman smiled as she back tracked to take the bag, though not yet opening it. There was a moment's hesitance before she headed back over to the three trunks. Would a hug have been appropriate? Or anything else? She felt silly for not doing something now. Taking out her wand, she unlocked the first before opening it. Nope. Book trunk.
"Oh, erm..." Glancing back to Leo, seeing as he was settled in one of the seats, she smiled a little more before checking the second trunk for the tea set. "...I guess I had my own adventures in the muggle vorld. The cities, more specifically. There vere a lot of places I've never seen or heard of before." It was quite fascinating, she had to admit, and fun.
Finding the tea set, hidden under some paperwork, she pulled out the wooden box that held it safe and snug, and set it upon her desk along with the bag of chocolate.
Moving Erma out of the way, she claimed the seat next to Leo. "Hawaii." she repeated with curiosity, tapping the box with her wand. As she spoke, the tea set floated out and set itself up. "You certainly know vhere to spend your vacations. Vos this more relaxing this time? Or..." Guy bonding time like the last they spoke of summer.
